The Four Seasons Restaurant in Hanover scores with super nice and attentive staff. Unfortunately, the food overall was rather mediocre. If you eat here, I would recommend the vegetarian dishes - they were much more convincing.

After the renovation, the restaurant has an attractive ambience, both indoors and outdoors. The food was really good, fried to perfection. The spare ribs in particular were marinated in a spicy marinade and served with delicious ketchup. The winter forest was particularly inviting for guests young and old. The service was always impeccable, polite and courteous. Upon request, competent information about the contents of the food could always be provided, which is essential in the case of intolerances. We always enjoy coming here.

Classic German home cooking, modern, at a high level. We enjoyed our visit and enjoyed the food. The service was present. The menu offers main courses from 15-45€. Quite a large selection and actually some vegetarian options too! The location is a bit winding and I couldn't find the toilet right away. Our space was very nice, but there were also tables we wouldn't have wanted to sit at. We'd love to come back, but it didn't blow me away.

Disappointing – unfortunately our last chance was missed The four of us went to the Four Seasons on Sunday because we were craving waffles after a long walk. Unfortunately there weren't any as the waffle iron had probably been broken for a week. So we decided on three brownies and a mousse. However, only the mousse and a brownie were served. After a long wait, we discovered that the other two brownies had simply been forgotten and were only served after we ordered them again and waited a long time. The ice cream, which supposedly came from a special factory, unfortunately only tasted like water and not at all like vanilla. When we asked, the waiter tried it himself - he liked it, but unfortunately we didn't. Despite the long waiting time and the ice cream, which wasn't appetizing for us, they didn't accommodate us in terms of price. In other places you at least get some attention on the house for such inconveniences. We deliberately gave the Four Seasons another chance because we had already noticed a significant loss in quality in both the food and the service in the past. Unfortunately, this impression has been confirmed. This was the last visit for us – there are definitely better addresses for good German cuisine in Hanover.

Very friendly and attentive service. Two vegan main courses on the menu - that's a good start! Unfortunately no vegan soup or dessert, I'm looking forward to the next steps ;) The food (ravioli with pumpkin) tasted excellent and the salad with granola was surprisingly tasty (I will reproduce that). The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxed.

Everything was great, I had a great time

The four of us had dinner yesterday. The reservation went very well, despite being at short notice. The first contact with the male service staff was extreme. No trace of friendliness. Oops, was it inconvenient? On the second contact we asked for some mayonnaise. Unfortunately we didn't get an answer from the gentleman. So we ordered these from the female waitress. Wow, that was really great. Very nice and accommodating. At some point we had a lot of mayonnaise because now we both brought it. There isn't much to say about the food. The pork tenderloin was so tough and hard to cut. Here the pig was killed several times. The pepper sauce and mushroom sauce were thick enough to cut. It's a shame, we've enjoyed coming so far, but now we'll probably stay away for a while.

We went to the Four Seasons for the first time with our family on Christmas Day All 5 stars absolutely justified! The rump steak was perfect!! I like the medium well version Not many can In Hanover and the surrounding area so far only in the Blockhouse Also otherwise: schnitzel or game (in our case deer) perfect!!

I had the duck with red cabbage. And dumplings with soup and dessert. Duck way too few dumplings were disgusting soup lukewarm dessert wasn't tasty either never a waste of money again

We had our Christmas dinner here, a great, pleasant location...especially in the bay window. The adjacent beer garden, which is now filled with Christmas trees in winter, creates an additional great Christmas atmosphere. The food was really tasty and the staff was very friendly. In any case you should reserve in advance… Highly recommended…👍

We were served by 3 service staff. Not so good. The soup and chestnut cream was delicious. Unfortunately the venison goulash was not, the food was only lukewarm. The red cabbage was slightly bitter, the spaetzle was rather small and lumpy. There was no extra cutlery to greet you from the kitchen. If you asked the service staff, you simply continued to use the knife for the main course. I found it unprofessional. The prices are a bit high for this quality. My husband's steak was okay, fried potatoes were definitely not enough. The windows were a bit smudged on the inside and the corridor to the toilet was dark and unpleasant. Too bad.

We went to dinner today at 1:15 p.m. and made a reservation. The restaurant manager says with a stiff tone and an impatient expression that I didn't see her when we made the reservation! I gave her a screenshot of my cell phone to order the table! Still staring at us! The tone is harsh and unfriendly! Let's go again! Because she's the boss! So irritating! Please don't blame us for her misfortune! How unreasonable! When we went to dinner last month, she made fools of us! I didn't know what was going on? Please don't be disrespectful and discriminatory!!!

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von sieben Personen zu einem Gänse Essen im Restaurant. Leider eine totalen Enttäuschung. Das Fleisch war zäh, extrem fettig, der Rotkohl eine einzige Pampe. Die Bedienung unaufmerksam. Das Essen wurde reserviert und wir wurden vorher nicht nach Getränken gefragt, die kamen dann endlich, als wir mit dem Essen fast fertig waren. Nach dem Essen wurde der Tisch abgeräumt und danach kam keiner mehr an den Tisch, um nach weiteren Wünschen zu fragen. Einer von uns musste zur Theke gehen, um eine Bedienung an unseren Tisch zu bitten. Preis/Leistungsverhältnis, Bedienung eine glatte 5. Nie wieder dieses Restaurant.

Wir haben uns mit Freunden zum Gänseessen verabredet und waren sehr enttäuscht. Zähes Fleisch, lascher Rotkohl, die Maronen musste man suchen und die Klöße liegen wie Mühlsteine im Magen. Und das ganze für über 34 Euro. Bedienung insgesamt freundlich, aber zu selten greifbar. Schlechtes Preis/Leistungsvergältnis! Für uns abgehakt.

Unfortunately, we have had bad experiences with this restaurant again and again, so I decided to write a review now... The food is completely fine, and the location is quite cozy - despite it being on a large main street. Unfortunately, the staff is mostly very unfriendly and that of course overshadows the entire visit to the restaurant. It is noticeable that the bad-tempered and grumpy service staff are often superiors, i.e. shift managers, etc. seem to be. But as is always the case: the fish starts to stink at the head and that's how it works on the whole. Dealing with the guests is hectic, they hardly look you in the eye or smile. “Germany’s service desert” is lived here. The behavior borders on rudeness. And not in a charming “Berliner Schnauze” way, but simply RUDE. Recently we were there and my aunt had choked badly. We frantically sent my older daughter to the counter to get a glass of tap water. She came and didn't come back and we were almost mad at HER when she finally stood at the table again. The reason for the long wait: the waitress at the counter refused to give out a FREE glass of water. TAP WATER! According to her, “everyone can come”. My daughter had pointed out to her that it was a minor emergency, and yet the lady still found the time to discuss it with a twelve-year-old. In my opinion, this borders on failing to provide assistance. Another time I went into the restaurant to ask a question about a possible reservation. The lady at the counter was pouring beer and didn't look me in the eyes. I waited politely. At some point she looked up without saying anything and stared into my eyes. That was probably the request that I was allowed to speak. I asked my question in a very friendly manner and was brushed off before I finished the sentence with the words “No, we won’t do that.” That ended the conversation and the lady (old guard once again, of course) continued tapping away. No goodbye, not another word. This whole interaction was once again so disrespectful and disgusting that I have now come to the conclusion that I will no longer hold any events or table reservations there. Perhaps there will soon be a generational change with accompanying service training. I would be happy about that.

We were in the winter forest and it was wonderful! The structure, the service, the selection and the taste of the food and drinks were very good!

I had f. Friday, November 22nd. Ordered a table for 2 people. When we arrived we noticed the terribly kitschy 'winter forest'. Sunglasses would have been necessary! The restaurant seemed well and tastefully renovated. The service seemed very stressed, if not overwhelmed. People only spoke to us as we walked past! The table assigned to us was an imposition! He was standing on a corner, opposite the entrance stairs, practically in the way of the waitresses. We immediately left, where a waiter shouted something to us while running, something like: 'The table is OK. Not for us!

The food was very tasty. The service was above average. But the ambience... it wasn't uncomfortable or tasteless, but definitely in need of renovation for a long time. I was surprised at the condition of the walls and floors in the restaurant. This is not called rustic, but run down. After all, we are talking about the Four Seasons, which is on everyone's lips. The scariest situation, however, was on the way to the women's toilet down in the basement. I wonder whether this is a matter of operational blindness or simple ignorance, but this is in dire need of renovation. You lose the fun, the feeling of well-being and the ease of visiting a restaurant as a guest.

We go to the Four Seasons every now and then and it's always very good. The food is excellent, the schnitzels are unrivaled in the region. My lady had risotto with chanterelles and salmon. She is a very critical guest because she cooks excellently herself and is only satisfied if the chef does it better. The Four Seasons Chef managed to do that today. The beers are good, the bottled wine list is great. If you only want one glass, then the selection is, well, let's say okay. Overall, a really highly recommended restaurant. We always enjoy being there again. Many thanks to the service staff. Here the guest is looked after attentively and professionally. A small suggestion for improvement: The Jägermeister could be served in authentic glasses.

Stay was only possible with a jacket. It was a...cold. Food... let's put it this way: nothing spectacular for way too much money. Service was very nice. Overall it was way too loud for my taste. The only entertainment was shouting. Not worth a second visit for me. But it's also a matter of taste.

Atmosphere and service are good, you can't say anything about that. The food, however, was very disappointing… The ribs were tender, but very lightly seasoned. The fries served with it were undercooked and cold. The garlic bread is nice, but it didn't really taste that great either. For the hefty price of €26.90, I definitely hoped for more. The salmon was still raw on the inside and slightly cold, which certainly shouldn't be the case. What a shame!

Green, sun-protected outdoor area directly at the Döhrener Tower. It's great that you can eat out again!! The cuisine has a traditional German touch and is definitely delicious. Price-performance is not cheap, but still reasonable. Service is definitely friendly and was very confident in all phases. We were there on a lukewarm spring evening and felt comfortable. We will definitely come back...

The food was great, the service was also OK, the only thing I found really annoying and can't tolerate is how the supervisor treated the staff. She loudly put down a certain service person several times in front of all the guests. Something like that is impossible. A few nice words would definitely have helped the girl more.

We went here for dinner again after the renovation. We used to be drawn here in particular by the ribs. The ambience is still quite nice on the edge of the Eilenriede. One flaw of the beer garden is that the floor is not entirely flat, so you have to be careful not to fall off your stool or chair, so it's not very comfortable for sitting for long periods of time. The food is good, I had ribs and currywurst once. Price performance compared to before is no longer so good. I think the prices are too high for the quantity. For example, there used to be three ribs instead of two for less than €20. What I don't understand at all is that there are salt and pepper shakers from Lidl on the tables for such a restaurant. And then exclusive prices. Otherwise the staff was ok, without a long waiting time. Beer for €5.90 half a liter is already steep. So all in all our visit was ok but also expensive.

I was just visiting this “beer garden” that wants to be something very special. The service doesn't deserve the word and one star is still too much. The drink was slammed onto the table with an annoyed expression on my face without looking at me, I wasn't even asked if I wanted to drink something else, if everything was okay - nothing. The waiter who came to pay didn't even look at me, said the amount and disappeared after paying without saying thank you, without saying goodbye, without wishing you a nice day, without asking if it was tasty, nothing. I will never visit this location again. Completely exorbitant prices for more than below average performance and completely unqualified staff.

The food was good but quite expensive for this beer garden like area. A seat cover was only available upon request. The service friendly and quick. An absolute minus point... A completely dirty women's toilet, stool on the walls, the floor dirty, paper everywhere... doesn't reflect the desired style of the restaurant at all. I can't judge the interior of the restaurant.

We have been there again for the first time since the renovation. It turned out very chic. Service was, as always, attentive and friendly. Food also very tasty. Since we lived in Berlin for a long time, the charm of a Berlin restaurant was reflected very well. Always beautiful.

The food doesn't live up to what the menu promises. Currywurst is unusually spicy and strange in taste, even if they say it's all homemade. Schnitzel ok, but the fries are limp and not crispy, OK the restaurant was full, that's probably why. Price performance not OK in this case. In the upper new part of the restaurant you should think about the acoustics, you can't have a relaxed conversation, it's just too loud when it's full. Service is okay but sometimes you have to look for it

A really nice restaurant, right at the Döhrener Tower. Cozy beer garden, directly under the trees of the Eilenriede. Here you can sit comfortably and relax with a cool drink. The staff is very attentive and friendly. I used to like to eat something here too. However, a look at the current prices on the current menu will make you lose your appetite. The prices being quoted here can really be described as outrageous. A currywurst with fries costs a whopping €14! The vegan version even costs €16.50! You shell out €27 for ribs and €15 for a normal salad! Guys, honestly - increased costs or not, but that's just outrageous. I travel around a lot across Germany and eat out several times a week, even in good restaurants. Why do I get cheaper prices even at good addresses, even in high-priced Düsseldorf? Do you buy good quality there at better conditions? Long story short: you are too expensive. Way too expensive. I won't be eating at your place anymore...but I would like to stop by the great beer garden for a beer (which is just about affordable).

Von dem guten Ruf dieses Lokals angelockt aßen wir dort heute Nachmittag mit Freunden. Der gebratene Lachs mit dem tomatisierten Sommergemüse war schön anzuschauen und schmackhaft. Die beiliegenden Kartoffeln jedoch waren ekelhaft. Weiß-hellgelb gefärbt sahen sie aus und irgendwie angetrocknet, als ob sie entweder schon vor einigen Tagen gekocht wurden oder aus einer Tüte mit vorgekochter Ware stammten. Die Kartoffeln waren von Optik, Geschmack und Konsistenz grauenhaft. Das sollte so einem Haus nicht passieren! Die anderen Gerichte waren o.k., werden aber nicht als besonderes Geschmackserlebnis in Erinnerung bleiben. Schade, dieses Restaurant hat deutlich an Qualität eingebüßt. Es war definitiv unser erster und auch letzter Besuch.

The ambience is classic, almost old-fashioned. You sit outside on the busy Hildesheimer Straße. But you have a beer garden feeling. My conclusion: solid German cuisine without sophistication. From previous visits I can recommend the ribs and the schnitzel.

Unfortunately the fried potatoes were "black potatoes". For the price I would have expected more. The service was very good.

Unfortunately, 4 seasons after the change of tenant a few years ago, it's no longer what it used to be! It's just system catering now and after the permanent staff left, it's no longer as pleasant as it was back then. Still a good and comfortable choice, even with several people! What's really bad is that the winter garden towards Eilenriede has now been renovated and renewed, but you are NEVER allowed to sit there! It always says, unfortunately closed!! Why?! 🤷🏻‍♂️

We decided to eat asparagus in season, with the surprise of paying 50 euros per person at the end. The place is nice, but the price is high and I was not satisfied with the price-quality ratio.

We visited the newly renovated Four Seasons on a Friday evening. We had actually made a reservation for inside, but it was too loud for us in the new room upstairs with a view over the beer garden. The service staff kindly cleared two tables outside for us and when it got cold later, we were given blankets. There were a few new things on the menu, but the currywurst (now also available as a vegan option) still tasted delicious. The beer garden may be missing a bit of decoration and the folding chairs are rather uncomfortable, but otherwise we really liked it there.

We were in the beer garden not too late on a Friday evening. More than half of the tables were free - and were not allowed to be occupied. It went so far that the staff sent people away who had already sat down there "on their own" because no employee was to be seen when they arrived. We were lucky and were assigned the last free "allowed" table. The service employee was friendly, but not very competent. We didn't even get the high chair we requested and promised for our one and a half year old toddler. He grossly misunderstood the drinks and food orders and brought the wrong thing. We ordered the second drink from his colleague, only to discover after a good half hour that he had not passed on the order/booked it. Plus the prices are completely exorbitant - currywurst with a manageable amount of fries for over 16 euros... I certainly won't go there again and unfortunately I can't recommend it either.
