Friendly staff, delicious food, I'll be happy to come back again!

It's actually quite a nice place! The owner was unfortunately very rude, bitchy, and unprofessional. I wanted to smoke a small cigar outside when a guest inside complained about the smoke. The owner reacted rather snippy to us and told us to put out the cigars because it smelled bad. But he put out ashtrays himself. This garden restaurant is not smoker-friendly! I've already recommended this place to other people, but unfortunately, we have to retract that recommendation, and he won't be seeing us again!

Radishes – go there, feel good, enjoy!

Everything in the beer garden was nice and clean. The schnitzels were also excellent. Friendly service. Everything was excellent overall. We'd love to come back. The pictures are from the goose we picked up at Christmas 2020. It was also very tasty. 👍🏼 We've been there several times now and have always been satisfied. The beer garden has also become really great. 👍🏼 By the way, dogs are also welcome, and a bowl is provided.

The food was very good, as always. Unfortunately, we were treated very unfriendly once again. It's a shame, because we'll probably eat somewhere else soon.

Sometimes we had to wait too long (more than 15 minutes for the chance to order), and sometimes the service was very good and friendly. Unfortunately, at the end, a man with glasses, who hadn't appeared until then, brought the mood down with a senseless and useless remark. So I'm seriously considering going back here again. Not really. But, the food was very tasty. The service could be improved a bit. The comments at the end were completely unnecessary.

We celebrated my mother's 80th birthday at the "Radieschen." It was fantastic. We met there for lunch and coffee. The food was absolutely delicious, and the plates were very generous. The dessert was equally delicious! I highly recommend the Grand Marnier parfait, for example. Finally, we tried the amazing cakes. The caramel cake was divine. We were all thrilled. Not just with the food, but also with the service and the friendliness of all the staff and the chef. And, last but not least, the table was beautifully set. We felt very comfortable. My mother was happy, and we will definitely come back.

I went to eat asparagus and made the mistake of arriving too early, so the asparagus water was still too fresh, or it was the asparagus itself. Nienburg asparagus, but what does that mean? It's like with everything grown; what matters is where in Nienburg, what the soil is like there (just think of wine; it doesn't matter if the wine comes from Apulia; what matters is the vineyard, the location on the mountain, the winemaker, etc., etc.). But back to the asparagus: it was also badly peeled, and the potatoes—well, okay. But at least there was an ice cream dessert to make up for it.

We had asparagus with potatoes and schnitzel, of course. It was really delicious. The chef knows his craft 👍👍👍. The team is a diverse bunch of nationalities. But very friendly. They also enjoy chatting with the guests here. Keep it together and just don't let the chef leave. It's a bit hidden in the garden colony, but it's definitely worth it.

I like things cozy, and that's what Radieschen is all about. Seasonal dishes are on the menu, and if you don't like them, you certainly won't go home empty-handed.

A wonderful restaurant with authentic, artisanal food that's clearly prepared with love and care. The atmosphere is warm, lively, and inviting—no wonder it's always busy. The only downside: The service is very friendly, but unfortunately also extremely slow. You might end up waiting an hour for your food. However, those with patience will be more than rewarded with the culinary delights. Despite that—or perhaps precisely because of that—I'm always happy to return.

The food at our asparagus, schnitzel, and side dishes was good. The service was also okay. The ambiance is very reminiscent of a pub from the 80s. It's clean and tidy.

I highly recommend it. Very nice service. Delicious food, only fresh products. I've been there a few times and I will definitely go there again. The ribs are the best in all of Hanover. Thank you and see you soon 😉

What a gem! We ate delicious asparagus with schnitzel. I never would have imagined finding such a great restaurant in an allotment garden.

Hello We were there with a larger group on Friday to eat asparagus. Service was very unfriendly. Asparagus buffet: Asparagus not peeled well and very firm. Asparagus soup was okay, but the asparagus in it was too firm. The sauce was a no-go. Didn't taste good at all. Actually, a shame for the money 💰 The dessert that was served was OK. They didn't even ask for drinks in between, which is where they make money. Plates weren't cleared. I'm not used to that in restaurants.

Really good German cuisine! Everything is delicious. The price/performance ratio is right. Friendly service! The customer isn't a nuisance.

A birthday group of 15 people, unfortunately a little late due to a previous, unplanned, long-lasting event. It was arranged between 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., we were about 20 minutes late and were not allowed in or were turned away - it was a shame, we would have eaten there with 15 people... Well, then just to another restaurant!

We were there with 15 people. We ordered each meal beforehand and then we all got the food at the same time. Everything was very tasty and everyone was very happy. Staff nice Gladly again.

Ordered a table for Good Friday, which was advertised long before with a special fish offer and a fish menu to come. When we arrived with guests, there was neither a fish menu nor any special fish offers. 2 fish dishes from the normal menu and schnitzel up and down. - Disappointing! The explanation is also disappointing, something must have gone wrong. Yes, our invitation to a fish dinner was over.

As a chef, I had concerns because the boss cooks himself. I was taught otherwise and ate the excellent beef roulade. It was so fantastic, so rich that I was fed up with cardboard but happy. We'll be back as soon as possible... Staff also turned off the scent ball because we were sitting at the table right next door. All in all, an excellent restaurant with super friendly and nice employees. We felt very comfortable... Thank you very much and see you soon, Your Saxon 😉

Very cozy, homely atmosphere. I liked the food, especially the stewed kale. The presentation of the dishes, of course, is not restaurant-like, but this is, as it seems to me, the special charm of this place.

I was here and the owner said that when a glass fell out of my son's hand he always said it was the children's fault. Not recommended for children

Nice restaurant with delicious food! A little hidden but beautifully quiet in a garden colony. The seasonal offers now in February with smelt and kale were the reason for our visit.

We were there with a larger group for kale dinner and were thrilled! The kale was excellently prepared - a real taste experience. The fried potatoes were wonderful and rounded off the meal perfectly. The only small point of criticism: The Bregenwurst could have been a little spicier for my personal taste, but that is of course a matter of taste. The service was extremely friendly and attentive, which further enriched the evening. We'll definitely come back if we get the chance!

It's pretty hidden in a garden colony that's hard to find. Cogel Maps always sends you to Dehn Bremer Dam and you can't get there from there. A small side street leads there.

Simply delicious and great value for money. In summer you can sit outside wonderfully and in colder temperatures it is also very cozy inside.

Goose leg with red cabbage, dumplings, baked apple and red cabbage. What a disappointment. The leg with burnt skin would have fit in a doll's house due to its size, but a kindergarten cooking group would have been able to prepare it better. The “baked apple”, an apple cut in half, hollowed out in the middle and covered with jam. Overall, an insult to every trained chef and host. The whole thing for €26.50. Anyone who leaves their money here has only themselves to blame. The service was present, but nothing more. Voices from a travel group present who had apparently ordered kale confirm my impression that “good things can be done differently and it wasn’t great”.

Absoluter Geheimtipp! Waren auf Empfehlung/Einladung dort gewesen. Sehr netter Empfang und sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Mitarbeiter. Vier verschiedene Essen, vier mal ausgezeichnetes Essen mit reichlichen Portionen zu einem fairen Preis. Gerne wieder. Super Preis/Leistung Verhältnis.

We were there for the first time yesterday and the food was delicious. In the case of the goulash, the red cabbage was a little too cooked and the “croquettes” weren’t enough for the amount of goulash sauce, but it was tasty. Also the schnitzel is mega. The cabbage roll was also delicious. And the dessert was divine. Homemade cinnamon parfait. Extremely delicious. The atmosphere could be a little more comfortable. But the food was really good. We'll be back.

Four of us had dinner on a Saturday evening. The ambience has nothing to do with a bar/restaurant in a garden colony - cozy, but still pretty. The service, a young man from Ukraine, very, very attentive and friendly. The food was very tasty and prepared quickly. Even when we were there shortly after 9 p.m., we - as the last guests - were not complimented out, as is usual. All in all more than recommended!!

A small, nice garden restaurant which can only be recommended. Anyone who takes a walk in the Herrenhausen Gardens should go and visit the Radieschen restaurant. Fast service, nice service. Very good and tasty food and as a customer you are king there. I felt very comfortable there and can only recommend the restaurant.

We once ate sour meat with fried potatoes, and 1×Bergsteiger Schnitzel was very plentiful and tasted very good. The boss served us personally, he was very nice. The prices were quite reasonable, we will definitely go back for brown coal dinner.👍👍😋😋

We went here for kale years ago. Back then it was a “nice” restaurant and the food was ok. A lot has changed here now. The furnishings are more modern, everything is bright… really nice. At first I was a bit skeptical about the prices when eating (schnitzel from €18.90). Until I saw the portions… gigantic and delicious. The service staff was also super nice. We'll be back

An invitation took me to Radeschen. The menu is manageable, which I think is good because of the opportunity to cook seasonally, regionally and freshly. But three types of fish as standard? Now that could be TK, which I don't think is so good. Chance missed. The goulash was good, but not exactly hot. The meat was tender and the dark sauce was aromatic. The (homemade?!) potato cookies were too dry for me. Since I can't tolerate cream, I asked for an alternative to the creamed savoy cabbage that's ubiquitous on the menu. The answer “Potatoes?” seemed uncommitting to me given the cookies that were already included. The “herb salad” that was then offered turned out to be coleslaw with herbs. Nice slip of the tongue, but I thought the salad was fresh and dressed with a good yogurt sauce. The ambience of the main room is a bit old. The larger room next door appears to have been recently renovated, but it is lit with such bright lights that I didn't want to sit there. All in all, not a failure but also not a highlight or “insider tip”.

Good home cooking at a fair price

We sat outside at the table and waited for half an hour. Nobody managed to bring us tickets during that time. Inside we knew that we had sat down outside and a waiter was outside at one point. Another waitress, who came to the table to clear glasses from the previous guests, neither greeted us nor acknowledged our presence in any way. At least there should be a greeting and information about when we can expect something. So we left very disappointed. 1 star is still too much for this outrageousness.

We celebrated our wedding reception on the very beautiful terrace of the Radieschen and were really thrilled. We were completely satisfied with the friendliness, flexibility and relaxedness of the team, as well as the really delicious food. We were there with around 40 people and received consistently positive feedback. We can highly recommend the radish. If you are in the area you should definitely stop by. Behind the cozy allotment garden ambience there is a really great restaurant with reasonable prices that we can only recommend everyone to visit. We look forward to our next visit :)

As a starter we had champions gratinated with feta, great!!! The main course was the sour meat and Schnitzel Bergsteiger special, both were delicious!!! Eggnog cups for dessert, great!!! It's a great restaurant, it's located in an allotment garden. The only problem is that the restaurant closes too early for many people, so go eat earlier :-)

On a Wednesday, we (6 people) easily and spontaneously got a nice table at Radieschen. You have to and can park nearby, as this rustic restaurant is embedded in a colony of arbors. The cuisine is down-to-earth, affordable and very ambitious, not a “clubhouse mess”, quite the opposite. We ordered across the menu and were very satisfied with the goulash, the sour meat, the schnitzel and my omelet. All the dishes were appetizing and very tastefully prepared and our plates could barely accommodate the portions. For me, the radish is a real (positive) surprise and it was only chance that led us there. Our favorite restaurant was closed due to renovation work...how lucky!!

A nice garden restaurant with lots of outside seating and German cuisine. Due to the closing times, the kitchen will of course close accordingly, so you should consider that in advance.

We were looking for a reasonable option for lunch with German cuisine. It was very, very tasty, unfortunately a bit out of the way, but a visit is always worth it. Very nice service and everything at normal prices.

Went there on Mother's Day around 4 p.m. Waited 20 minutes for service even though only 4 tables were occupied. Only after you got the map yourself did a cellar appear. There was no cappuccino, supposedly no milk, but there was milk with the filter coffee. Overall, an impression of listlessness that is on the higher side for a garden colony

Were here yesterday and had coffee and cake. Coffee machine broken OK, that can happen. But the host should be able to criticize if you don't like the so-called cake. Low-level and unprofessional behavior is a no go. We are used to different things. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. Guests from Switzerland.

In the middle of the allotment gardens there is a restaurant with very good and inexpensive food.

When we visited the Radieschen on April 7th, 2024, we got the last free table because the restaurant was completely booked. We would have to wait half an hour to place the order. The food came after an acceptable time and was of good quality. The staff was friendly.

Went to Radishes again after a long time. It was again excellent in every respect. We will go back more often. Definitely recommendable.

Down-to-earth food with a rustic flair. You know in advance why you are coming here. The restaurant is located in an allotment garden, which is why getting there is a bit difficult. Unfortunately there are no parking spaces directly at the restaurant. Nice service.

The duck! A little more difficult to get to and there are no parking spaces. But the food makes up for it all. Very tasty, very well made, very good selection. The duck was the best we've had in years and even the fish was great. I can really recommend everything.

I took part in a Christmas dinner there as part of a Meet5 event. The restaurant is the jewel of an allotment colony. I was actually pleasantly surprised by the food. One point deducted for ambience and service. Allotment gardens. However, the food was five stars.

Meine Mutter bestellte und servierte uns ein vom Radieschen zubereitetes Weihnachtsmenü: Weihnachtsgans mit Klößen, Rösti, Rosenkohl, Blaukraut, Sauce. Zum Dessert Bratäpfel und als Zusatzgeschenk einen wunderbarsten Weihnachtskuchen. Qualität und Geschmack waren einzigartig gut!! 1000 Dank und große Empfehlung!!!!!
