We arrived at 7:00 p.m. in the evening, as agreed by telephone. It was said the key was deposited. Employees were there the next morning. When we arrived everything was dark. Not even a front door or house number light. No idea where to park. Entrance area unkempt, cigarettes and tobacco waste. No key. Nobody available by phone. After visiting the thermal spa, Werder was supposed to have a cozy birthday evening. Very very very annoying.

Every year we eat Christmas goose at Stern. The goose tastes first-class, very well prepared, this also applies to the side dishes and sauces. The starter and dessert rounded everything off perfectly. The service is relaxed and attentive. All requests for drinks, sauces and side dishes are fulfilled immediately. The atmosphere is uncomplicated. A large guest room with lots of space, very pleasant. We will visit again next year! That was a wonderful evening! Many thanks to the team at Gasthof zum Stern!

Anyone who stops here will find a rustic inn with a German-Austrian menu with a quality that you would not expect at these prices. In addition to the excellent quality of rump steak, schnitzel, Kasnockerl, Röstl and Co., the portion size must also be mentioned, which forces many a man to order a children's schnitzel. Of course, especially in summer, if you want to find a place in the large, shady beer garden, you should definitely make a reservation, as the number of regular guests is of course large. But don't be afraid to be a stranger here, we were still completely "new" last summer and were well received at the regulars' table in Frankfurt style. Family is very important here to both the host couple, the entire team and the guests, so that you can feel at home straight away if you are open to it. A little tip: Be sure to try the Geile Nuss, a fantastic hazelnut schnapps from Styria.

We stopped here this evening as part of a holiday in the Dahner Felsenland and were very impressed by the quality of the food and the freshness of the ingredients, given the fair price-performance ratio and the cozy atmosphere. We cook with passion here... You can see it and you can taste it. The sophisticated side salad was just as convincing as the butter-tender and appetizingly prepared rump steak. It wasn't the last time we were in Dahn and we'd love to come back on our next visit. Please keep it up!
