Meeting friends was really nice. The beer was well chilled in the heat. You can go wrong with meat loaf with egg.

It was a wonderful celebration that we celebrated in this place. The food was decent, the beer was excellent, and the atmosphere matched the interior perfectly. I think spending time with friends in this place is a great idea.

Cool location, nice service. Unfortunately, Kaiserschmarrn was too sweet and too caramelized. Another topic ;) Why are the toilets so dark? For women, this is a disaster)))

The food is pretty good but when you see what they are preparing you can feel lost. The people are very friendly and travel quickly. You can sit outside and inside.

The service here is totally messed up. Nothing stays behind the smile. The place was 20% busy when I came, but the service acted like it was a rush hour.

A hidden gem for engine enthusiasts. Tucked away in an industrial corner, this place is all about the raw power and history of diesel engines. The massive old engines on display are impressive, and if you’re into the sound of roaring machinery, you’re in for a treat—some of them even run during demonstrations. It’s a niche spot, but there’s something captivating about seeing these giants in action. Just be ready for a bit of grease and grit—it’s more “mechanic’s workshop” than polished museum. Perfect for those who appreciate the nuts and bolts of engineering history!

Good Bavarian cuisine in a former power plant. Actually, food is not the main thing here. The menu is small. Prices (compared to other Bavarian restaurants in Berlin) are high. It’s worth coming, first of all, for the former power plant building itself. Here, cozy armchairs and elegant tables coexist with powerful diesel units. In summer there is a cozy beer courtyard overlooking the dry lake.

Went with a group here. The staff were very professional, friendly and helpful and our food was excellent. The atmosphere was relaxed the building itself is really interesting. I highly recommend it and will definitely return.

The food is sub-par, especially for the price range. We were a table of 12 and sampled a lot of the dishes, particularly the schnitzel, which had no flavor and the meat dish, which also had no flavor. The only redeeming was the smash burger which was passable. Bill was 350+ for 9 adults 4 children.

Almost all tables were occupied, so there was a wait, which some people didn't understand, but the staff remained very friendly despite the stress, which doesn't happen that often in Berlin. We only had drinks, next time we'll try something from the menu

Very disappointing food with very inflated prices

Great atmosphere and vibe, our waitress outside was so lovely and the food was delicious! We had the vegetarian spinatknodel and the vegan schnitzel and both were great :)

A bit hidden and therefore beautifully quiet on the Oranienburger with a beautiful terrace. At lunchtime it is almost idyllic with a nearby fountain. Things get a little more hectic in the evening. The food and drinks are pub standard and perfectly fine.

Very nice restaurant with a great ambience. The historic diesel generator in the heart of the house has been preserved and gives the place a special charm. The outdoor beer garden is cozy and quiet. The food was really outstanding – there is also a great selection for vegans and vegetarians. Plus: The beer selection is also impressive!

… typical tourist spot… nothing more and nothing less. Nice personel. Food and drinks average. Unfortunately, Kaiserschmarrn was completely below average. Unfortunately, it's far too expensive for that. It's just in a tourist hotspot. Unfortunately you can't expect anything.

Original restaurant in a former factory with original equipment

The food and most of the service team more than met our expectations. The staff were consistently friendly and accommodating, which could have made the evening in this beautiful restaurant a perfect experience. Unfortunately, our impression was significantly clouded by the behavior of a waiter who introduced himself as the boss (Fabian). He attracted unpleasant attention because of loud phone calls, condescending reprimands of his otherwise very committed team and blatant flirting with new, young guests. The impression arose that a distinction was made between two classes of guests - those young ladies who were generously treated to free drinks, and then the rest. This behavior not only dampened our mood, but also significantly reduced our willingness to order more drinks. It's a real shame that an otherwise so promising restaurant loses so much of its appeal due to the inappropriate behavior of one individual. Thursday August 1st, 2024

Very fast and friendly service, food is very good and the home-brewed beer too. The stairs towards the sanitary facilities are relatively dark and could be a little brighter, but otherwise everything is fine :-)

Probably the best Obatzde in Berlin.

The food was not original alpine style.It was not fresh and not delicious. I come from Bavaria and we were very disappointed about the quality and the prices.

Great venue - beer at its finest - very decent food - but … Like always, we enjoyed the historic place and friendly atmosphere. Diner was tasty and the beer as good as it gets. But guys, please check the thick and ugly pancake you are offering as Kaiserschmarrn. You can do better!

Desi is a very attentive and friendly waiter. We are always happy to see him in the Dieselhaus. The food also tastes excellent.

Fast service works quite well. The problem is the food. Relatively small portions for a lot of money. Especially the pork belly, for example. Sorry guys, it can't be that you pay more than €22 for 3 small slices of meat and a small dumpling and then have the mustard as an extra on the bill. This is underground. There was nothing wrong with the service or the food (taste). The rating refers to the pricing. Mustard in a portion sachet costs extra, although mayo and ketchup are included with the burger. Incomprehensible given the prices.

Almost all dishes are fried and traditionally Duetsch. Waiting for meals and waiting for my bill. Weiner Schnitzel for 29 EURO, is it a high kitchen here? It was just dry. Not recommend.

Small portions of food, you don't feel full

Nice restaurant (also for large groups) Central and large outdoor area in the middle of Berlin. Service is friendly but very slow and inattentive, even when it's not busy. Prices have risen extremely sharply in the last month. Schnitzel from €28 to €32, beer has Oktoberfest prices. A pity.

The location is beautiful. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is not balanced. I ordered 6 bratwursts with sauerkraut for €16.50. For the price you expect either a slightly larger portion or top quality. But there was neither. The sausages were gristly, the sauerkraut was watery and tasted like nothing. A disgrace for the price. Plus a beer for €6.90. Absurd prices for mediocre service.

Went for a EM game, Spain versus France. Never been talked to in such a bad banner in a restaurant ever!! Very poor management!! Poorly educated staff!!

Ambience great, service very nice. When it comes to food, however, the price-performance ratio is unfortunately not at all good compared to other places in Berlin and the quality on offer. The target group would then probably be tourists.

Food is just soso. It’s pub style with an attempt at elevated German dishes. We got the Spätzle, grilled pork strips, and the schnitzel. Would recommend the schnitzel but nothing really standout. A bit on the pricier side. Good beer selection as it’s a brewery. Service was really great and attentive.

A beer garden without any greenery. I had sausage salad. The portion was very small and too expensive at 17.50 euros. The service was friendly, that was the positive thing about our visit. I don't think I'll go there again.

We were guests in the restaurant at the European Championships. The location is certainly ideal for enjoying the European Championship spectacle. Unfortunately, there were coordination problems within the service team when we ordered, so we had to wait quite a long time for our food - but that can also just happen and was generously solved by the team. That's why 5 stars for the service. Basically there are enough staff to manage the outside seating. The dishes were beautifully presented and did not disappoint, but they were nothing special. The prices are quite high, which may also be due to the general environment (tourists). The historical location is absolutely great!

We were there for the European Championship Germany game. A great location to enjoy the games on a large screen outside in a relaxed atmosphere. Despite the abundance, the service was attentive and always extremely friendly. But the prices are relatively high.

It was a very nice experience, very nice staff and the food was simply great, Because it is now EM, there are a lot of TVs there that you can watch EM.

I bumped into this place accidentally and I couldn’t be more thrilled about it. I had a lovely dinner outside accompanied by this live band playing acoustic songs. The ambience was delightful and the food was amazing. I asked for a beer (obviously) and these incredible naked spinach and ricotta dumplings and ended the meal with a good old pretzel. The staff were very attentive as well. 10/10 experience!! Definitely recommend 🫶🏼

Food Quality: burger was really nice. Very tasty and fries were also good and crispy. Portions: very happy with the size of the portion. Drinks: wines, beers, spirits, soft drinks. Price: $$ food might be a bit more expensive, but the barrel of beer is quite decent and enjoyable. Service: it was a big group so a bit chaotic from our side, but the staff still managed to keep a smile and do their best to make sure we were taken care of. Atmosphere: very nice spacious location. Quiet due to the location and very relaxing. Highlights: you can tap your own beer when you order a barrel. If you will order a few or a large one, always safe to pre order it so they keep one for you. Payment Method: cash, cc

Was told we couldn't sit outside and order a drink or food while euro game was on... then 15 minutes later they were serving other people. Other than that the environme tand food is good, but only 2 choices of beer was dissapointing.

Staff was pretty rude when we asked if we could take our beers outside and watch the match. They said "no, the benches are wet from the rain so we are not serving outside"...2 minutes later, they were serving outside. Menu is very small, but decent food.

Here is a summary of some of the guests at the event (buffet with show cooking) who spoke to me and asked for my opinion: - Flying starter with little high flight - Beef tough and with a critical aftertaste - Plate cold - Buffet setup impractical - Bratwurst good - Salads average - Ready-made sauces/dips - Baked goods ok - Poultry meat ok Food follows location - as is unfortunately the case more and more often. Beer is a matter of taste, so no judgment.

Racist security and management that abused my friend for solely being ethnic, absolute disgrace and will not return. We traveled from Scotland and has put a dampener on the whole holiday, would not recommend

It was reasonably fancy but the service was comparitively poor. We were given a menu and just told to find a seat, our table was not offered an English menu but another table after us was given one, they were also offered a shaded seat when we weren't, they were asked if they wanted asparagus with their schnitzel but we weren't offered this. Maybe for other people they're quite kind but I don't feel we did anything to deserve the "lazier" service we received. When I asked later, apparently there was a specials menu that we had not seen/been given. The food was tasty but too salty.

Very nice restaurant with a rustic Bavarian atmosphere. Various rare beers and a carefully selected range of dishes. We liked the taste of everything. We had schnitzel and beer. A little more expensive in terms of price.

Very friendly staff but I have to deduct 1 star because there is no non-alcoholic shandy, unfortunately I have to buy two drinks to drink a non-alcoholic shandy.

So far we have only used the restaurant for drinks as a quick stop on walks. The staff is friendly and the location in the courtyard offers peace and lots of greenery with a fountain.

Great restaurant with a nice outdoor area

A beautiful event location in the large inner courtyard of the Museum Forum and with seating outside and inside. At large events with many guests, it can be quite loud inside. More areas for sound absorption in the building might be helpful

The facility and location are super nice. Unfortunately, the service was rather poor (got the wrong food, forgot your order...). The food was tasty but not necessarily fabulous for the price. In the end, unfortunately, it was rather disappointing and I had the feeling of a tourist “trap”.

Unfortunately the starter and main course came at the same time. The main course was unfortunately cold, but tasty. Service seems a bit overwhelmed. We expected more for the price. We won't be coming back.

Oasis of calm right in the center. Beautiful place with fountains, lots of shade in the afternoon, therefore ideal for families in midsummer. The own beer is delicious and highly recommended. We had meat loaf with egg, coleslaw and spaetzle. Everything seemed a little warmed up and the taste was only average. So you really don't have to come here for the food, but the location and the ambience are really nice. Next time we'll just have beer and a pretzel and it'll be fine.

Very nice location and impressive furnishings. When the hut is full you can feel the general pressure on the service team. My tip for restaurants of this type is a self-order system, e.g. B. from Tobit for the guests. This would reduce the burden on the service, fewer kilometers would have to be walked and guests would receive their orders much more quickly. Otherwise great tip in the area. 🍺😎🌭👍

Unfortunately the maximum of system catering, nobody cooks here. I was really disappointed with the food, especially in such an otherwise beautiful location. Snacks for hefty prices. The vegan schnitzel is a ready-made product like Rügenwalder from the refrigerated counter, the potato salad is also a ready-made product from the bucket, as are the Königsberger meatballs and the Leberkäs. Do you think we guests don't notice that? I won't come here again, a disappointment like almost everything on Oranienburger Straße.

It has a terrace located in the heart of the Oranienburg neighborhood. The staff is very nice and although a little expensive, the food is very good.

Just something completely different and very impressive

Very nice place, pleasant, super modern. Very delicious food, very good beer. The attention a 10+!!! The guys are super cool, very cool. I highlight the attention of Nicolas, captivating, super talented. We will return without a doubt!!!

I went there for dinner with my wife and our 3 daughters. It was packed, but we didn't get the impression that the service was slow or that the kitchen couldn't keep up. It was super super good. There was something for everybody. The quality of the food and the service were above average. We will be back!

Wonderful food and loved sitting outside. A music band would have been great!

We were there with a small child and waited almost an hour and a half for the food. Only after asking several times were we told that it wasn't in progress yet and would take at least another 20 minutes. Nobody responded to the request to cancel the order and bring us the invoice. Then they left.

Six of us were here on Friday evening and ate and drank deliciously (including sausage salad, Obatzter, schnitzel, trout and - at our express request - an extra-fat piece of bacon: delicious!). Matze, Fabi and Apo from service looked after us attentively and fulfilled our every wish. The place by the fireplace was wonderful, as was the whole evening. A big thank you to Matze, Fabi and Apo!

We were here for dinner with 9 people. Apart from the very nice ambience, it was unfortunately anything but a relaxed meal here. Small and expensive portions. Partly cold. And finally an incorrect invoice. Unfortunately not recommended.

Take your time and don't be hungry or thirsty. Sequentially: After 50 minutes the waiter made it to our table to take an order, after another 20 minutes we got our 3 beers (they were delicious). We didn't eat anything after we found out that the two girls at the next table had waited an hour for their Obazder with two pretzels. How long should a hot meal take then? We didn't want to try it, we wanted to celebrate Christmas at home. During the entire time, we didn't manage to completely clear the dirty glasses of the guests in front of us from our table. How long does it take if the store is full? The spatial location of the Dieselhaus is brilliant, it is located in a courtyard on Oranienburger Straße, somewhat hidden and therefore not overcrowded despite being a tourist hot spot. We hope it was just an exception, we will give the Dieselhaus a second chance and try again. Let's see.

Super nice atmosphere to sit inside and outside! You have to try your way through the beer and find your taste. For me the gusset was a bit flat, but the light was solidly drinkable! The asparagus is a decent portion, I think it's too expensive on its own, but combined with a perfectly made veal schnitzel it's a very fair price. The waiters are attentive and very friendly and funny. All in all it was a very successful evening! We will be back definitely!

Food was good, praise in the kitchen. Service was very nice and attentive. 👍🏻 Very unusual ambience in the old power plant with a discarded diesel engine. The historic control cabinets and the spring-loaded ceiling of the diesel engine are also really great in the toilet hallway.

Amazing discovery for German food and drinks, in a very nice courtyard with big tables and great ambience, and an always smiling staff. The Schnitzel is a must and Spätzle also very good. It‘s also a good place for afterwork drinks.

Was here for a work event. The schnitzel was outstanding and even though we ordered it shortly before the kitchen closed, they welcomed it warmly. The team is relaxed and friendly and the atmosphere is great.

We had the schnitzel with potato salad. The schnitzel was very juicy and airy, as a schnitzel should be. Unfortunately the potato salad was too sour and too pickled. The service was very friendly, but could have switched gears. We waited a whopping 30 minutes for our food and an additional 10 minutes to order our drinks. Overall, the restaurant was worth it for the schnitzel. In terms of price, it corresponds more to the upper class

Wir hatten das klassische Wiener Schnitzel (nicht 'Wiener Art' ) , sowie in Kombination mit Spargel: perfekt dünn und zart das Fleisch , große Portion Spargel und dazu süffiges Bier aus Traunstein. Service freundlich, angenehme Atmosphäre- wir kommen wieder!
