A lovely atmosphere in an old power station. Some of the machinery is still there, and the walk to the restroom feels like a trip to a technical museum. The food and drinks are Bavarian style and delicious.

Modern restaurant with old industrial charm. Classic German (Bavarian) cuisine with mostly meat from the farm's own farm. Organic farm in Bavaria. The two of us shared a meat platter. The food wasn't outstanding, but it was good. For dessert, we had Kaiserschmarn, which was excellent! The ambiance is fantastic. Modern and industrial designs are combined everywhere. Great!

Good quality for prices. Very nice service. Big plus they ask if you like to have Kaiserschmarrn with raisins or without (for the ones who are not rasins fans). Apfelstrudel also without raisins 😉. We had 2 mains, 2 desserts, 1 bottle of Merlot, big sparkling water and 1 Almdudler for 50 EUR per person tips included. Recommended

I was there with a group. It was a good place. The drinks were good, the food was okay. The location was exciting.

The food was really delicious, and the menu was superbly designed. It's not overly elaborate; it has a clear structure, simply well-executed! However, the restaurant immediately deducted a star upon entering. The noise level upon entering is almost unbearable. Stepping in from your seat, you're immediately in a huge room; in the evening, almost every single seat was taken, making it incredibly loud. Thankfully, our reserved seats were a bit off to the side (right by the elevator), so the noise level was almost manageable. I'd gladly turn a blind eye to the delicious food, but on top of that, we had to wait an extremely long time just for our drinks that evening. Drinks we ordered at the same time (sometimes even the same drinks, like a Zwickel) arrived one after the other with considerable delay. Sure, it's crowded, but with a drink, the fact that the food took a little longer would have been half as bad. So, it remains a very good four stars. I highly recommend the schnitzel; it was nice and thin and simply delicious! The tartare and Obazda as starters were also excellent. I will definitely come back, maybe in the summer when you can sit outside :-) because the place itself is really beautifully designed and the location is really ideal and very central!

Great atmosphere, delicious food. Unfortunately, service is too slow; you wait for drinks and food for what feels like an eternity. Almost all of the staff are very friendly, but sometimes you get the feeling that the staff (service) is annoyed when you try to order something.

The schnitzel here used to be my favorite. I took a friend of mine here tonight, hyping up the place and singing praises about the schnitzel. But the schnitzel has considerably changed. It has become very greasy with a clear after taste of just oil, which quickly saturated our sense of taste. I won’t return for the schnitzel anymore. But may try out the other dishes.

Unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The dessert (yeast dumplings) was inedible, hard, and had to be returned. The quality explains why the restaurant was so empty.

We ordered the potato soup, which was unfortunately extremely sour (probably overcooked or reheated too often) and completely flavorless. We immediately returned it. Unfortunately, they could only give us a 35% discount instead of simply taking it back.

We've been going to the Dieselhaus for two years. The food is consistently high quality. We receive prompt service, and the staff is very friendly, approachable, and charming (especially our Argentinian colleague, Luciano). Whenever we want good, uncomplicated food, the Dieselhaus is our first choice. And as Berliners, we find the Bavarian folklore more entertaining than annoying :-).

Today, while strolling through town, we more or less unexpectedly stumbled upon the Dieselhaus. What was that supposed to be, on the grounds of the former "Reichsposttelegrafenzentralamt" (Reich Postal Telegraph Central Office)? The atmosphere was fantastic. Many items from the building's "former life" are on display in the restaurant and surrounding area. The service and attentiveness of the waiters were truly remarkable. The food was delicious, and the overall ambiance is simply perfect. A little warning: We'd love to come back.

We had a lot of fun here at the company party. Simon may not have been able to conjure up a helipad, but he did everything else!

We had reservation at 19:00 hours, and got our main course at 21:30 hours, it was cold and not good

Good location, large outdoor area. The food was delicious. In the restroom area, there are some exhibits from the building's former industrial use. Why only 3 stars? First, the service was extremely slow. It took almost an hour for us to get our food and drinks, even though (at 4 p.m. on a Saturday) only about a third of the seats were occupied. Second, the dessert "Kaiserschmarrn" is listed on the menu as €10.50, but we charged €11.00 for it. When asked about the difference, they said, "I have to take what's programmed. If the menu says less, I can't do anything and just let the office know." That's completely unacceptable for me (I still paid the higher price, otherwise it would have escalated).

This was one of the best dinners we've had in Berlin. The beef tartar was awesome and The drinks were great, All the dishes were beautiful and delicious. I love atmosphere and vibes. I would totally come back here when I come to Berlin and I highly recommend.

I sat inside the restaurant because it was only about 20 degrees outside and windy. I initially sat at a small table for two, as I was alone. Unfortunately, this area was very drafty, as it was located directly between two large exterior doors, both of which were wide open. So I moved to a larger, free table in a more sheltered area. Shortly afterward, the waiter, wearing leather trousers and a bald head, came over and asked if I was alone. After I confirmed this, he remarked in a noticeably snippy tone whether I had "enough space" at the large table. I explained my move to this table to him, but the way he delivered this comment was simply rude. I told him that I would not tolerate such a tone as a guest and left. Unfortunately, this wasn't the first time a server had treated me inappropriately there—and no, it wasn't meant as a joke this time either. Fortunately, there are numerous other restaurants in the area that treat guests with respect. The unfriendliness here is truly disappointing, and for me, reason enough to report it. It's a shame you'll be annoyed for a while. Incompetent employees can destroy much of what enterprising restaurateurs have built, and they harm their colleagues along with it.

I've been here a few times. It's a nice, quiet location (unless there's a group of Indian professionals at the next table) with plenty of room for cigar smokers. However, the bills are a matter of luck. For a water and two simple shots of rum, the price fluctuates between €22.50 and €29.50, not including tip. Be careful whether the drink is billed with or without Coke or something similar. If there's no Coke in the drink, just ice, you shouldn't pay for it. The amount of rum in the glass also varies greatly. Anything from just "covering the bottom" to "glass half full" is possible. This isn't a good place for people who don't like surprises.

It was nothing. The white sausage was lukewarm, the chicken salad was simple and unloving, and the chicken was overcooked and had a greasy coating. The waiters, however, were very friendly and attentive.

I visited this establishment, I recommend it one hundred percent, Nikolos served me, a very sincere, cheerful and pleasant man, I also wanted to thank the chefs for the delicious food and met Irina, an incredible woman, she told me so much about Dieselhaus, about the dishes they still have, about the history that I wanted to come back again

On Wednesday we visited Dieselhaus for the first time and made a reservation. After we let them know we were there, we were able to sit at any table. Despite the restaurant being half empty, we waited for 20 minutes without anyone coming. Then we got the menu ourselves. The table was absolutely filthy, but for some reason wiping it down wasn't an option. The food was small and tasted okay. Two empty glasses sat on our table for at least half an hour, but asking if anyone wanted another drink was out of the question. After waiting another 15 minutes for the bill, we went to the bar and paid ourselves. What terrible service. And for almost €65, an absolute waste of money. What's so difficult about good service?

Place is nice, but food is average. Not a good compromise with price for what you get.

Rude service. My friend (who wears glasses) couldn’t find something he wanted on the menu, so he asked the waiter if they have it. The answer was: “you have four eyes dude, look it up in the menu”. Seriously? We left immediately.

For Berlin Mitte, the prices are comparable to other establishments. The food and drinks are also recommended. We're Berliners and have been coming here regularly. Unfortunately, it always felt like an eternity before we were even served. Regardless of whether the place was full or not. No "Hello, I'll be right with you" or anything like that. People prefer to stand at the counter and chat. However, the 10% tip was preset at the payment terminal when paying by card. On our last visit, however, we left after waiting 20 minutes without any response from the owner. We won't be coming back. There are plenty of alternatives nearby.

This spot is a hidden gem, away from the hustle and bustle of the main street. The atmosphere is a huge plus; the interior is great for events, and the outdoor seating is also lovely. The staff was incredibly friendly, but the service could be improved. There was some chaos with orders being mixed up and forgotten. The food was ok, though I was disappointed by the very limited vegetarian selection.

Unfortunately, this day wasn't as good as the boss had hoped. Due to a private event on the roof terrace, the kitchen was overwhelmed. There were about 20 of us there, and we ordered dinner at the same time. Serving 17 of us went smoothly. Unfortunately, the remaining three had to wait a very long time for their food (over two hours). As compensation, we were generously given a 10-liter keg of beer. It was a nice gesture, but it doesn't change the fact that I would gladly order from somewhere else next time. I was one of the three people who stayed hungry for a long time.

Once and never again – a shockingly negative experience at the Dieselhaus. On July 20th, two friends and I visited the Dieselhaus Forum on Museum Island in the early evening, having positively noticed the terrace on an earlier stroll. The weather was nice, the location seemed appealing. Unfortunately, this initial positive impression was no longer a lasting one. Even before we were greeted, the waiter pointedly and loudly adjusted metal chairs at the neighboring table. Without so much as a "hello" or any kind of friendliness, he immediately informed us that we would have to wait a very long time for our drinks. Our order was then taken in an extremely rude tone. We didn't feel like a welcome guest, but more like a burden. The drinks were brought by another waiter, who was much friendlier and more professional. For a moment, we thought things might be looking up after all. But that impression didn't last long. About 25 minutes after our arrival, the first waiter returned to take our food. He urged us to order quickly in an unfriendly tone. At this point, it was casually mentioned that the beef tartare was unavailable, which meant that one of us had to choose something else at short notice. There was no sense of understanding or consideration. About 15 minutes later, we heard the waiter loudly announce to neighboring tables that they could expect a wait of 40 to 45 minutes for their food, regardless of their order. The restaurant was empty at the time, and the terrace outside was also not fully occupied. The waiter's irritated attitude was in no way justified by external circumstances. When he came back to our table, again in an unpleasant tone, we decided not to order anything else and instead pay immediately. A friend politely asked him if the team was perhaps understaffed, in order to understand the waiter's mood. There was no response. The waiter simply turned around and walked away without comment. I then went into the restaurant to complain to the manager. Meanwhile, a friend had overheard a phone call about this waiter. It was clear that he had apparently been alienating guests, regular customers, and colleagues with his behavior for a long time. This information was confirmed shortly thereafter. We spoke with a responsible employee and described the entire incident. During the conversation, the waiter in question overheard, became loud, aggressive, and ultimately had to be restrained by several employees from engaging in physical violence. His behavior was completely unacceptable and shameful. We have never experienced anything like this in a restaurant before. Another employee, very polite and presumably in a management position, sincerely apologized to us and confirmed that there had already been many internal complaints about the colleague. Unfortunately, this has not resulted in any consequences so far. The Dieselhaus itself has great potential. The location is excellent, the atmosphere inviting at first glance. But a single member of the team is enough to completely ruin the overall impression. If such behavior is tolerated over an extended period, it harms the entire establishment. One thing is certain: We won't be coming back. And we will openly tell anyone who asks us for a restaurant recommendation about this experience. That way, you lose guests faster than you think.

A Biergarten restaurant. Nice to sit with a beer and to have some food. Quite big, therefore service can be a bit impersonal and less attentive. Couldn't ruin a good evening though

My final stop in Berlin was for a quick pretzel and beer nearby my hostel in the city centre. The beer selection was great and staff were very friendly, but I found the pretzel quite bland, which was a shame as I had specifically looked up restaurants with nice pretzels. It was a nice atmosphere in the evening, especially when the street lights and the fountain in the plaza were on.

Last Sunday, after visiting Museum Island, my husband and I wanted to relax and enjoy apple strudel and Kaiserschmarrn (sweet pancakes). The restaurant has a very nice, tranquil ambiance (which is why it's rated two stars). Unfortunately, both the service and the food were not to be recommended. We had only ordered a bottle of water for drinks, but it was simply forgotten. The Kaiserschmarrn was also badly burnt and very greasy in the cast-iron pan, so we had to throw half of it away because it was simply inedible. Finally, we received an incorrect bill. Despite a calm response, there was no apology – they were more annoyed by the lack of a tip and the response.

I really wish I could say this was a good Bavarian restaurant because we certainly could use one in the area but the Käsespätzle were not good and Traunsteiner is not a very good beer...luckily there's an Augustiner Biergarten in the Mauerpark now where you can at least get a decent beer

The food was very tasty. The building is impressive, especially the diesel engine on display. The service staff was friendly but overwhelmed (possibly understaffed), and the drinks didn't arrive until after the meal.

This place is friggin amazing. The food is exceptional, the atmosphere is cozy although busy and we had a great time. The thing is, the waiters are an absolute mess. We’ve called them over several times to no avail and once they finally arrived, the ordered stuff came half an our later. Potential through the roof, Berlin service 😂

We left Dieselhaus absolutely stuffed—and totally satisfied. I had crispy duck leg served with red cabbage and potato dumplings, all bathed in a rich, flavorful sauce. I also like the two spacious industrial-style floors.

Service is terribly bad. You have no option to order again. The waiters seem to ignore you. Friends and relatives, on the other hand, are served quickly. Would have liked to drink something more. Unfortunately it was impossible due to a lack of service.

A very nice place with very friendly waiters! The point deduction applies to the food: asparagus and Wiener schnitzel. Positive: good portion, you get full. Negative: Unfortunately the asparagus tasted like absolutely nothing. It wasn't completely cooked either, but you could have ignored that if the taste wasn't completely missing. My companion noticed the same thing. It's a shame, because we were really looking forward to the asparagus. The beer, on the other hand, was great, as was the Kaiserschmarrn.
