Lemke am Schloss in Berlin

The Kaiserschmarrn was cold. The beer was warm and lackluster. We waited over 35 minutes for our drinks in a virtually empty restaurant.

Unfortunately, they seem to be buying positive reviews here. There's no other explanation, since the new menu is a complete disaster. All the classics are gone, everything is full of frozen products (especially on the children's menu), quality is subpar (the meat is dead, everything is either reheated or straight from the fryer), and all at premium prices. Apparently, they've decided they only want to rip off tourists and no longer care about their regular Berlin customers. Unfortunately, this is my last visit.

We live nearby so we often come here for a really good beer and a very tasty tarte flambée. Whenever we go there to eat, it's always delicious. Nice service and nice brewery atmosphere near Charlottenburg Castle. Highly recommended!

A really great brewery in a great area!

Large but cozy Berlin restaurant. Typical Berlin cuisine with mostly hearty food. I also discovered something for vegans. Anyway, we had pork knuckle and roast pork. Both prepared very tasty. Even though the food was served after just 10 minutes, the knuckle, among other things, was very crispy and fresh. Respect. The home-brewed beer is highly recommended. I really liked the dark beer. The staff is very friendly and helpful with Berlin charm. So that wasn't the last time for us at the Lemke brewery.

Mega-tasty knuckle. Melts in your mouth. For dessert, apple strudel with vanilla ice cream and cream. Also really good. Plus an original on tap. And all of this in the cozy atmosphere of Lemke am Schloss. Dreamy!

Great food and nice service !!! I reccomend this place

Today we were a parent group of around 10 dads and 10 children. Since we had a lot of small children with us and they suddenly wanted to go home, the group split up about 20 minutes before the booked time slot down to 7 people including children. So it was not foreseeable that something like this would happen. Since we wanted to be there in 20 minutes anyway, we saved ourselves the call to Lemke and thought it wouldn't make any difference. When we got there we found a half-empty restaurant. When the waiter asked us about the reservation and I mentioned it, he reacted very unfriendly, as it could be that we hadn't told them. When we point out that many people have recently changed their minds and the restaurant is half empty, the waiter half-heartedly says that we should sit on the left. So we assumed there would only be one table there. When we got there we saw several tables and didn't want to make a mistake again and just sit down somewhere. Unfortunately the waiter didn't give us a direct seat. It doesn't seem to have been our tables either, as there was no reserved sign. That was finally enough for us. So we wanted out. The waiter didn't understand why we wanted to leave. When we confronted him about his rude behavior, he apologized very implausibly. We then said that he couldn't deal with guests like that. Then he followed up again and claimed with laughter that he had been in the business for over 20 years, so he must be doing something right. Well, he can claim a lot, but the fact that several adults are said to have questioned him unfortunately makes him untrustworthy and his behavior very unprofessional. Thank you, never again.

Wir waren hier im Rahmen einer Weihnachtsfeier und rundum zufrieden. Die Gerichte haben gut geschmeckt, die Portionen waren stattlich und die Preise fair. Dazu ein freundlicher Service und eine gemütliche Atmosphäre. Uns hat es sehr gefallen.

It used to be called Luisen Brau where the beer came filtered and still cloudy from the brewing kettles, but there is nothing left of it today. The shop is empty and uncomfortable. It's a shame too.....

Not just for beer lovers. In addition to beer tasting, you can also eat well in Lemke. The guest room exudes a rustic atmosphere with dark paneling and brewing kettles. A closer look reveals old sayings everywhere. It's cozy and the service is quick. In addition to beer, there are of course other drinks. Always a point of contact for years.

We were recommended to come here and we were not disappointed. Great food, great beers (some really weird cool stuff that I never could have imagined as a beer!), and great service. Micha and his colleagues gave us a "tasting lesson" on Berliner Weisse. If you're in Berlin, make a point of dropping into Lemke am Schloss!

Restaurant manager very unprofessional, as his behavior and handling is simply totally unacceptable. A certain waiter is also very unprofessional in his tone and misbehavior. Food is just not good for this high price. It used to be a nice place where it was fun, but now that the very good restaurant manager V. is no longer there, who looked after the shop warmly and always thought about the staff, it's just gone downhill there I definitely don't recommend it

Well, I rarely give bad review to restaurants but horrible experience Start from service till we leave, disappointing, as, we asked old guy who's working as a waiter to make it little faster his reply was ' we are not MCD' I don't know he thought we don't have knowledge or we are blind completely rude behavior I don't recommend at all.

The waiter is a mistake. The waiter used very vulgar language towards me, including swear words. How can you not respect foreign customers? Maybe a nice place and nothing more.

Closed January 1, 2025 - without any notice. Called the second Lemke restaurant and was told that the castle had to be open. But you can't ask anyone because everyone is on vacation. January 2nd, 2025 - no call will be accepted at the Lemke am Schloss brewery. Another telephone inquiry in the 2nd restaurant... ...See review there... When you remove capable and competent staff from a catering establishment, regular guests also leave. Competition stimulates business and causes the catering industry to either flourish or wither.

Had a nice beer. It took half an hour before we got the drinks we ordered...

We ordered 2 coffees, one tea and hot chocolate. First we waited 30 minutes to get the first thing which was tea. After another 10 minutes we got hot chocolate which wasn't hot and we didn't get our coffees. The waitress forgot about them. This was an awful experience on this cold day.

Locatie is top. Bij binnenkomst ziet men al dat alles hieraan klopt. Nog tafeltje kunnen bemachtigen. Natuurlijk hun eigen bier genomen. Goede Duitse maaltijden voor nette prijs.

Location is great. Upon entering you can see that everything is correct. Still able to get a table. Of course they had their own beer. Good German meals for a fair price.

Rustic atmosphere. Service very mediocre. Unfortunately the food is only partly good. We were there with seven people. We had onion rust bests 3 times. The meat came almost raw. Then it was put back on the grill. After an endless wait, about 10 minutes, the plates came back. Now the meat was good, no longer raw, but very tough. All in all, poor quality. Will definitely not come back. But there are some better breweries in Berlin

During the Festival of Lights we had a bite to eat and a drink here. The food is solid and the staff is friendly. However, the typical Lemke beer is a matter of taste. I used to like drinking it. Today it tastes too hoppy for me but everyone has to decide for themselves. Nevertheless, I can recommend the restaurant.

Mi hermano gemelo y yo nos dirigíamos al maravilloso mercado de Navidad en los terrenos del Palacio de Charlottenburg cuando decidimos pasar por Lemke Am Schloss , hemos estado aquí antes en muchas ocasiones a lo largo de los años, siempre lo pasamos bien y así lo demostró en nuestra última visita. Un bar de cerveza de gran aspecto, el interior es magnífico, estilo berlinés muy tradicional, un montón de características de madera, un bar de servicio de gran aspecto, una decoración maravillosa y ecléctica y muebles y un montón de opciones de asientos repartidos por todo este bar de cerveza, es solo un gran destino de cerveza. Por suerte logramos conseguir una mesa, un miembro muy agradable del equipo del bar nos sirvió su cerveza de la casa , una cerveza estilo lager que se servía en excelentes condiciones, nos relajamos y empapamos de la gran vibra en este concurrido y popular pub de cerveza mientras bebíamos nuestras cervezas. Mi cerveza era increíble, crujiente, de color dorado, una cerveza lager de lúpulo llena de sabor y muy fácil de beber, especialmente cuando se sirve en condiciones prístinas como en este bar de cerveza, no es sorprendente que este bar de cerveza es tan popular entre las cervezas servidas en estas buenas condiciones. Realmente disfrutamos de nuestras cervezas aquí antes de seguir adelante y aunque nuestra visita fue solo fugaz como en cualquier otra visita a Lemke Am Schloss nos lo pasamos muy bien. Lemke Am Schloss es fácil de localizar en Luisenplatz. El horario de apertura es; Lunes a domingo, abierto de 12 a.m. 30 pm. Vale la pena comprobar si estás en la zona.

I get it. You want to go home. You say your open until 11:30, but to kick your customers out you don't need to blast the most obnoxious music. Just ask nicely.

Very interesting interior. Great service. Decent beer. The only downside was the schnitzel. We made a reservation 4 days in advance. The place was packed. So plan your visit ahead of time. On Friday evening, there was no room to drop an apple. We were warned that we had 20 minutes to place our food order; after that, we would wait a long time for the food. The schnitzel was a bit dry. For the sake of the beer and the interior, I would come back again.

Empfang durch die Mitarbeiter war unterirdisch. Im halbleeren Lokal wird einem nur ein schlechter Platz an einer Theke angeboten. Sofort wieder raus: nie wieder!

Super nice service, the location is very large, but doesn't hurt the ambience. If you choose the right one, you can look at Charlottenburg Palace.

Wir hatten letztes Jahr (2023) unsere Weihnachtsfeier im Brauhaus und waren sehr Zufrieden mit dem Essensangebot und der Qualität von Speisen und Bedienung. Um in diesem Jahr keinerlei Experimente eingehen zu müssen viel es uns nicht schwer die diesjährige Weihnachtsfeier wieder im Brauhaus auszustatten. Bestellt wurde für 15 Personen. Am selben Tag wurde unserseits nochmals die Personenanzahl durchgegeben und die Reservierung bestätigt. Als wir 17:00 Uhr ankamen war weder der Tisch noch etwas anderes weihnachtlich geschmückt. Es gab nicht einmal eine Weihnachtsserviette. Bestellt wurde von uns 10 mal Gänsekeule aus der Tageskarte und 5 andere diverse Speisen. Nach 10 Min. kam der Kellner zurück und sage es wäre nicht eine Gänsekeule vorrätig. Bei allen Beteiligten waren lange Gesichter zu sehen und es wurde auf Entenbrust umbestellt. Als diese serviert wurde kamen ein großer Teller mit zwei minifertigen Klösen ein total totgekochtes Rotkohl, fast schon Brei, viel Fertigsauce und eine Entenbrust klein wie eine Kinderfaust die zäh gebraten war. Unsere Enttäuschung war und ist Groß. Unterem Strich war alles total Überteuert und die Qualität der Speisen grottig. Es gibt keine Empfehlung für dieses Lokal. Ach und unsere nächste Weihnachtsfeier wird auch nicht mehr bei Lemke stattfinden! Versprochen!

Unfortunately we had to wait over an hour for the food and then it wasn't really hot. However, the main parts of the dishes, such as duck or goulash, were delicious. When the waiter said he was sorry for the delay and that it would come immediately, we had to wait another 20 minutes. Some of the other larger groups applauded when the food finally arrived. The prices are also disproportionate, especially compared to the performance. There was not even a semblance of “compensation” as an apology for the very long wait.

Went there spontaneously after a short trip to Charlottenburg Palace. Even though we didn't have a reservation, we got a table. Ambience very nice. Drinks and food came very quickly, tasted very good and more than enough. Service could be a little friendlier/more attentive. Happy again and fully recommended.

Really nice food. Like, surprisingly good. Best spatzle I've ever eaten omg. And the sauerkraut, amazing. Beers were excellent too. Very reasonably priced. Can't believe how easy it was to get a table at lunchtime on a Sunday. Absolutely worth a visit if you're going to Charlottenburg like we did today.

Food was served cold. Starter and main course came at the same time and cold. Getting sparkling water was difficult. Still water came (the carbon dioxide was probably empty). 3 employees and 40 minutes later the sparkling water arrived. No towels in the toilet. Only after attention were given, some were laid out. Reserved weeks in advance for a group of over 20 people in the run-up to Christmas. Shop half empty. Goose legs were out, as was hot chocolate. Well, from a planning point of view, you probably can't imagine that you would want to order both at this time...ordered duck breast for €26.90. What came was a disgrace: a mini piece of meat, obviously a duck breast cut in half again, with at most lukewarm sauce, rather cold. Went back to the kitchen, outrageous for that price. Colleagues' knuckles are bone dry and rock hard. What happened to this store?

We were there for the company Christmas party with around 20 people and first of all, I'm not a restaurateur. The ambience was really great. I felt very comfortable and now comes the BUT: You can actually expect good service and good food from such a large and consistent restaurant, but that didn't happen for us. It's understandable that you have to wait for food and drink when things are going well, but sometimes the wrong drinks were brought. We had to order our food in advance and that's how it tasted. For some there was a duck breast with red cabbage and dumplings, a goose leg with green and red cabbage and slices of dumplings and for some there was pork schnitzel. It sounded really tasty and you would expect good quality from a restaurant like this, but that wasn't the case. Many of us just liked it warmed up and dry. The red cabbage was very, very sweet and we had to do without a nice crust. There are certainly different opinions and maybe we were just unlucky that evening. We will still have our next Christmas party in a different location.

Went there yesterday with the motorcycle troupe to celebrate our Christmas party. It was a big mistake, the time from the first to the last meal was almost an hour, especially since we all ordered at the same time. And then my food came, goose leg with green and red cabbage, the leg was so dry and the kale was damaged, the food was returned and that was it (at least the €29 wasn't charged). All in all, never again

It should be a nice Christmas party...we've never had such a bad meal. The simplest meal was a failure...potato soup inedible, totally over salted. Black goose leg totally dry. The staff was completely overwhelmed and almost made you feel sorry for them.

45 minutes ignored, question about a German card was answered in the negative, After 2 hours the food came, goose leg/like a chicken wing dry and tough, ordering drinks with the meal was not possible. Restaurant manager Michael... Wasn't interested in the criticism at all and rejected it blatantly and aggressively! Eating is just a matter of taste and when it's full, you can't expect better service. Conclusion: Below-average food, catastrophic service and a restaurant manager who is not up to his job and is also cheeky, flashy and aggressive.

Great place to visit. You will find excelent local beer to drink. Dunkler Bock was great. They also offer quality food. I tasted curry wurs and dumplings with cheese. Greetings to Iryna, she deserves a rise :)

If you wanna enjoy German food and beer, I highly recommend this restaurant! I ordered Lemko Boulette. It was the best potato salad ever I had and my friend loved beer flight😉 All employee are really kind and atmosphere is very special! Thanks Michael a lot for little surprise:-)

Very rustic atmosphere, we liked it. Service was also good. The beer goulash was four stars, but unfortunately the knuckle was only worth three stars 😕Too bad!!!

I've already eaten here twice and each time I had the Ceaser Salad, which was always very tasty. My friend had the schnitzel with fries. The fries were our highlight 🙏🏼 You spend a little more money here, but it tastes really good :)

The walls, this shop, this place, the Lemke is like your second living room, you are never disappointed and always feel comfortable.
