We'd been there years before, and it was highly recommended for the food—the shank and potatoes or smoked ribs—and their beer. Friendly service, a place with a pleasant, slightly retro feel. Prices are average, with generous portions.

Sunday evening in summer, 8:53 p.m. The kitchen is already closed. The waitress recommends a Späti or snack bar. Worse than in the deepest provinces...

Really bad food experience, we had a Schnitzel with fries and pork knuckle with dumplings. The schnitzel was super tough and honestly looked pretty old. The pork knuckles were rubbery, dry and also looked a little old. Speaking as a German, this was a one really bad dinner and way too expensive. The service was okay, but we complained and didn’t get any price reduction, and she seemed a little (a lot) lost with the orders.

Still delicious, and the service is very fast and friendly. However, the prices are really high these days; I paid €19 for cheese spaetzle today, August 4, 2025. Still, 5 stars, because everyone can decide for themselves whether they want to pay that much.

The value for money is absolutely not right. The prices are very high considering the portions are manageable, and the food quality is only okay (meat barely seasoned, new potatoes were tough, salad dressing was sour). The best was actually the Kaiserschmarrn (although it was also €16). If you then have to pay extra for everything (ketchup, for example), I find that quite cheeky. The service leaves a lot to be desired – no one even comes to ask if you want anything else (even if there are empty glasses on the table). Empty glasses, dishes, etc. are only cleared away upon request. Unfortunately, I absolutely cannot recommend it. It used to be a good restaurant, but now it feels like a tourist trap...

It's declined considerably; the grill used to be better. Or cooking from scratch. It's a shame Mr. Lemke is no longer pursuing his brewery strategy.

The schnitzel (veal cutlet) was well seasoned. The sides of grilled potatoes or potato and cucumber (which was actually pickles) were delicious. Very close to Charlottengerg Palace so they pair very well together. Their Spree West Coast IPA was good.

The food was very good there ♥️ and drinks. The staff were very friendly 😊 but two customers next to me were so loud that I felt embarrassed in the whole room. The staff were just watching us.

The veal Wiener Schnitzel, garnished with a sardine, was edible, but it wasn't for me. The breading was falling apart and the meat was relatively dry. Cranberries are only available at an additional cost.

A very quaint restaurant right next to Charlottenburg Palace. Very cozy, good beer, excellent food, and extremely friendly service. Highly recommended!

Meeting up with friends from Berlin, very friendly welcome, quaint decor, good food. Would love to go back. The beer garden is right on the street and sometimes very noisy. Great team!

In Charlottenburg, an institution

What can I say? HORRIBLE Booked a table for a wedding that hadn't been set up yet. Okay. Food: an absolute disgrace! Ready-made schnitzel! The knuckle was far from fresh and/or crispy. The steak was well-done and tough. The Maultaschen were old, so they were fried. A Wiener Schnitzel for almost €30 should be freshly breaded and fried. Only the Obazda (traditional pork knuckle), the salad, and the Kaiserschmarrn (shrimp) were tasty. A complete disaster! If you want delicious knuckles, etc., go to the Haxenhaus (a traditional German dish) in Tegel. They'll give you junk for a lot of money. Too much. NEVER AGAIN HERE

Didn't taste like self made food. The vienna schnitzel is never ever from a cow. The potato salad was one od the nost uninspired I are. The hefe weizen is without the hefe. Won't go there again.

Delicious beer. Made right (no syrup even in cherry beer). Close to Charlottenburg palace. Tables and deckchairs outside, good climate in and out. Nice and knowledgeable service. Just a perfect place to spend some times (eat and drink before go to palace).

Visiting from Canada and had to come to the Lemke Brewery as we are Canadian Lemcke’s. Very kind service, delicious schnitzel, sausages and ribs. Tasted a variety of beers and Helles was the favourite. Bringing our family back home souvenir glasses. Cheers from Canada!

Visited here from Canada on May 15 2025. Loved the food, beer and service. We had the tasting flight of beer, then a .3L of the Hells beer and really enjoyed it so we ordered the meter of beer! Decided to stop here as our surname of Lemcke comes from the original spelling of Lemke.

Bad service. You're shown a table, sit down, and wait 15 minutes. Then someone comes and gives you a ticket without asking if you want a drink yet. A shame, typical touristy "yes, yes, no" service. The prices are okay. The food was okay, I ordered roast beef with onions. They don't know what roast beef with onions is. The meat tasted okay, a 1cm flattened steak with fried onions. Phew, any Allgäu native would have been outraged. And what were olives doing on that plate? I was hoping for much better, not recommended. A shame...

The new menu is not recommended. The Schupfnudeln and the Maultaschen remind me of the supermarket versions that are offered for a maximum of €2. Here you pay around €20 for a plate. We weren't happy because you could cook it yourself at home, but it was much cheaper. The beer is still good. The service is also good.

The best kaiserschmarrn I try. Even better than the famous cafes in Vienna.

It was a very pleasant experience. The waiter who served us did not speak English and therefore it was difficult for us to understand the menu, but the service was very good, and the food was excellent. The prices are not very affordable, but it is worth paying

Unfortunately the portion of the schnitzel was a bit small and the price was unfortunately too high. The fried potatoes were dry and the schnitzel was very small. The goulash is highly recommended and the portion was good. The beer was also very tasty, overall the service could have been friendlier and more attentive. Overall good food, unfortunately overpriced. The last time it was a few years ago was different. I probably won't come back.

A typical inn, with a seasonal menu. Surprised by the asparagus tarte flambée. Good beer. On the other hand, the choice of ice cream is limited, it is better to go across the street to the castle ice cream parlor.

A slightly more expensive restaurant, but great quality. The beers are excellent. There is even a small beer tasting of several types. Fantastic. The meat platter was amazing. The coleslaw is a dream. Gladly again.

It was really nice to spend time in here. Food was perfect, service was perfect, ambiance was lovely. Staff was very hospital and especially barman Can was fast and a funny guy, He really made my day. Thank you for everything and see you next visit :)

Lovely, been good since the 90s. Admittedly expensive with my dish at 28€, with perfectly cooked. Lovely beer selection, recommend the beer tray with different beers of 0.1 L for 11€ to taste many different types of beer.

Schnitzel was really MID and way too expensive I just had to drink toilet water out of thirst (i.e. from the tap) because I was too broke for it then the reception didn't come for a long time even though I wanted to pay for a long time I just had to wait half an hour and in the end we had to pay at the checkout OURSELVES I would have expected a little more from the 20€ schnitzel shop

Little break after visiting the Charlotte Burg castle (very good) where we went for a beer and came back to eat there. Very good advice for the choice of beer thanks to Mickael the waiter who was able to guide us. The meal was great as was our evening at this place which I highly recommend.

Directly next to the castle, I would come here for drinks only - unfortunately it took 40 minutes to get the food. It was not very good either 😟

The food was great, if you are there in a group you should only order the food first and then the keg of beer, otherwise no waiter will come anytime soon.

The Lemke brewery at Charlottenburg Palace is simply a must for anyone who appreciates good food, excellent beer and a rustic atmosphere. The location right next to the castle is unbeatable – perfect for a break after a walk in the castle park. The house beer is a real treat, I particularly like the Pilsner and the Weizen. The menu offers hearty brewery classics that go perfectly with the beer. My pork knuckle was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside – exactly how it should be. The staff was super friendly, attentive and in a good mood - you immediately feel welcome. The atmosphere is also authentic and cozy, with lots of wood and Berlin charm. I'll definitely be back - for me it's one of the best breweries in Berlin!
