Super, lecker, sehr freundlich und preiswert!

Ein absoluter Geheimtipp mitten in Berlin! Trotz der Lage im Herzen der Hauptstadt liegt das Restaurant angenehm ruhig und lädt zum Entspannen ein. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön und gemütlich, alles war ausgesprochen sauber (sogar die Toiletten waren in einem top Zustand.) Die Bedienung war von Anfang bis Ende äußerst freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen kam schnell an den Tisch und war schön heiß. Besonders begeistert hat uns die kostenlose Vorspeise mit dem hausgemachten Dip, wirklich weltklasse! Das Wiener Schnitzel kostet zwar ein paar Euro mehr als in vielen anderen Restaurants, aber jeder einzelne Euro lohnt sich. Es war eines der besten Wiener Schnitzel, die ich je gegessen habe, hervorragend zubereitet und geschmacklich einfach top. Für die Qualität der Speisen, den ausgezeichneten Service und das gesamte Erlebnis zahlt man den kleinen Aufpreis sehr gerne. Wir kommen definitiv wieder. Absolute Empfehlung! ⭐🍽️

Nach zwei Jahren waren wir wieder dort und haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt. Wir bestellten Vorspeise, Hauptgericht und Dessert. Außerdem haben wir die hausgemachten Cocktails probiert. Der Koch hat uns persönlich bedient. Es war ein rundum gelungenes Erlebnis. Wir kommen bald wieder.

Der beste Spargel der Stadt, eine herzliche familiäre Atmosphäre und ein unglaublich freundliches Team

Wir waren auf eine Party in der Gegend eingeladen und wollten vorher was essen. Aufgrund der guten Bewertungen haben wir hier reserviert. Es war Spargel Zeit - also sollte es Spargel geben. Wir haben uns angewöhnt zu fragen ob die Hollandaise hausgemacht ist. Zu meiner großen Überraschung wurde das verneint. Bei dem Preisniveau hatte ich das nicht erwartet. Also Spargelsalat, Wiener Schnitzel und Risotto mit Lachs. Das Risotto war sehr lecker und mehr als reichlich. Eine Vorspeise wäre nicht nötig gewesen. Der Salat war ordentlich - das Erdbeer Dressing wirkte aber auch wie ein fertig Produkt. Das Schnitzel hat mich eher enttäuscht. Wenn Wiener Schnitzel drauf steht erwarte ich ein zartes Fleisch mit knuspriger Panade die Blasen wirft. Vielleicht waren unsere Erwartungen zu hoch - erfüllt wurden sie leider nicht. Der Service ist aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Das Essen ist solide aber passt aus meiner Sicht nicht zum Preisniveau

Es wird draußen lecker Glühwein und Kleinigkeiten zum Essen verkauft. Trotz to go Verkauf, gemütliche Atmosphäre. Sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Das Essen war fantastisch und die Veranstaltung für unsere Familie bestens organisiert. Das Personal hat uns, trotz unserer großen Gruppe, hervorragend betreut. Einige Gerichte waren in riesigen Portionen erhältlich und die Cocktailauswahl war erstklassig.

Das Restaurant und insbesondere die Spargelgerichte sind sehr empfehlenswert! 😌 Super fanden wir auch, dass es als Vorspeise einen Brotkorb und als Aperitif einen kostenlosen Likör gab. Wir kommen wieder!

Zunächst einmal war der Service hervorragend, was in Berlin wirklich selten ist. Ich hatte Schnitzel und Kartoffelsalat – das Schnitzel war sehr lecker und auch sehr reichhaltig. Der Salat war eher durchschnittlich. Die Preise sind zwar etwas höher als üblich, aber es hat sich absolut gelohnt!

Wir haben über The Fork reserviert, weil wir ein traditionelles Restaurant ausprobieren wollten, ohne zu viel auszugeben. Wir landeten in einem sehr gemütlichen und einladenden Restaurant. Die Bedienung war überaus freundlich und beantwortete gerne alle unsere Fragen. Das Essen war köstlich.

Wir hatten dieses Restaurant für Silvester reserviert. Die Atmosphäre war enttäuschend und wirkte lieblos. Das Essen war unharmonisch – die Aromen wirkten unzusammenhängend, als wäre jede Komponente isoliert zubereitet worden. Nichts ergab ein stimmiges Gesamtbild. Besonders besorgniserregend war die mangelnde Frische. Die Gerichte schmeckten abgestanden, nicht frisch. Wir bekamen beide anschließend Magenbeschwerden. Auch die Präsentation war schlampig und lieblos. Insgesamt wirkte das Restaurant unkonzentriert und schlecht umgesetzt. Mit mehr Liebe zum Detail bei Frische, Ausgewogenheit und einer ansprechenderen Präsentation könnte es sich verbessern, aber so wie es war, rechtfertigt es keinen weiteren Besuch. Viel zu teuer für diese Qualität! Der Besitzer und die Angestellten waren jedoch freundlich!

We were there with a large group and had made a reservation in advance. We had to wait a little while for our first drinks, but after that the service was excellent. I ordered the gnocchi and they were outstanding! The prices are in line with the area, so they are a bit pricey. I'm deducting one star because they don't accept card payments.

We went there for our Christmas party. First we had an appetizer, then the main course, followed by dessert, and finally homemade bay leaf liqueur. Everything was absolutely delicious.

The food was alright. They only accept cash. That's absolutely outrageous for a restaurant in this price range. Perhaps the tax authorities should take a closer look at this place.

Due to a bowel condition, I can currently only count the foods I'm allowed to eat on one hand. After giving them prior notice by phone, they let me create a new dish with an alternative preparation method using the ingredients listed on the menu, and they were still incredibly kind when I had to send it back due to a misunderstanding. And it tasted really good, which, with only salt as a seasoning, is something you can only expect with really good ingredients. A huge thank you to the lovely team for allowing me to have a wonderful restaurant evening despite my significant limitations. I'd love to come back (if they want me again, haha).

Highly recommended. We've visited the restaurant three times now, and every main course has completely won us over. The veal strips and the Wiener Schnitzel are our favorites. Attentive, friendly service in a very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.

A truly cozy and heartwarming place! The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing, the food is fresh and incredibly tasty, and the portions are generous. The beer is excellent — you can feel the love and care in everything here. The music is soft and pleasant, creating a lovely mood without getting in the way of conversation. We had a wonderful time and left with a warm feeling of comfort and joy.

Our plan for our evening was actually different. We were so pleasantly surprised at the "Lorbeer" that it definitely won't be the last time we eat there! Starting with the cozy atmosphere with dim lighting and no frills; the friendly, relaxed, and never intrusive service, always with a smile; all the way to the truly delicious, perfectly prepared food. To finish off the meal, there's the homemade laurel schnapps available upon request. It's so highly recommended that we had a small bottle filled for us right away. Thank you for this 5-star "alternative" on Saturday evening!

I had the goulash. It was incredibly delicious, but the spaetzle was either lacking sauce or salt. That was more my fault. Everything else was great.

As soon as you enter, you'll notice the pleasant atmosphere: modern yet cozy, making you feel immediately at home. The service was attentive, friendly, and just the right amount of warmth. You're greeted with a warm smile, and the owner personally attends to each guest. The food is freshly prepared with love and plenty of experience. I ordered the salmon: the skin was wonderfully crispy and the meat juicy and flavorful. The desserts are special and unique, and the cocktails are delicious and refreshing. In short, everything was perfect from start to finish, thought out down to the smallest detail. I would love to come back.

Unfortunately, it was a very disappointing evening. Despite the restaurant being almost completely empty on a Friday night, we waited 1.5 hours for our food, which unfortunately didn't meet our expectations at all. It was completely overseasoned and only of mediocre flavor. We even had to return the Wiener Schnitzel. However, it was promptly replaced with a new one and we weren't charged for it. Overall, the staff was the only good thing about our visit. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

This is not the restaurant it used to be. The food was appalling. No seasoning and flavour, the pasta was cooked so carelessly that much of it stuck together and didn't cook properly, The cocktails were way too sweet and the wine was chilled so cold it didn't taste like anything. A disappointing experience and really pricey as well.

I had the chocolate mousse and a coffee – both were absolutely perfect! The dessert was not only outstanding in taste, but also very reasonably priced. The quality was top-notch, and the plate was lovingly presented. The service is particularly noteworthy: super friendly, attentive, and with truly positive energy. I've rarely eaten such delicious dumplings with chanterelle mushrooms. For dessert, there was a selection of delicious dishes. I'm looking forward to the next time!

Four of us ate there. The service was friendly and attentive. From the dip with bread and the vegetarian and non-vegetarian appetizers to the asparagus in butter with herb triplets and the perfect schnitzels (veal!), everything was perfect. The value for money was also very good. We highly recommend the Lorbeer.

The restaurant is very nice and cute, but the food is not that great. We went for eating asparagus and we felt them undercooked. The schnitzel was ok and the homemade lemonade super sweet, did not feel homemade at all. The atmosphere very nice and service too, but way too expensive for just ok food.

The gnocchi was good, the venison goulash was ok, the Brussels sprouts lacked a bit of flavor. It could have been presented a little nicer, for example the cranberries in a separate bowl. The service was friendly, the atmosphere was ok. The price seemed a bit too high for what we received. Unfortunately, payment is only possible in cash, which I don't understand in a restaurant with this price range. Therefore we will no longer visit the restaurant.

Clearly not recommended! The waiter is on the phone the whole time and shouts in Arabic! The food took forever even though it wasn't even full, the menu was boring and the food tasted bland.

The food isn’t good. It tastes reheated. I would recommend going to Osmans Tochter across the road instead of you can. This was my least favorite meal in Berlin. It took very long, and they pay for good reviews/write their own reviews.

Somehow everything is more appearance than reality. The prices need to be improved somewhat.

We ate there for the first time today on New Year's Eve and were incredibly disappointed. The food was a disgrace, we ordered the goulash for about 26 euros and it was inedible, the meat was very dry in a very bizarre way and the sauce tasted very strange and was almost inedible, but... There was hardly any “happiness” involved anyway. I don't think I've ever eaten goulash as chewy in my life as I did at Laurel. There was also spaetzle that tasted like it came from the microwave. We were supposed to have pumpkin with it but we got Brussels sprouts. We weren't told that at all, we were just told it like that. The food itself was only lukewarm. We also had half a duck, but I don't know where it went. There were only two slices on the plate. The plates looked dirty and a piece of the plate with the goulash had broken off. The dishes were very scratched and I don't think they had ever been polished. The desserts were also very strange, we had crème brûlée with a baked apple. The baked apple was small cold apple squares in a bowl. It was probably only ⅛ of an apple. The meal cost several hundred euros for four people and yet we were asked to go to the other side of the street because the card reader wouldn't work...

Incredibly delicious. Here we cook and serve with love. The menu offers delicious dishes and it wasn't easy for me to choose. For me I had the country duck with spaetzle (a special request from me) instead of the dumplings and a really tasty red cabbage apple. The duck was so tender and good tasting. The service was also more than friendly. We felt very comfortable. I can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. Thanks! Looking forward to next time.

Absolutely 💯 one of my favorite restaurants. Go there with my man at least 3 times in a month. Amazing service, which I don’t see so often in Germany. Food is just impeccable! And prices are more than reasonable. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone! ☺️

One of the best restaurants I've been to in all of Germany. The staff is very nice and the cleanliness is good

The food was bearable, the service was a nightmare. After waiting for the main dish for over an hour and asking the waiter about it, we got SCREAMED AT and gaslighted into thinking that we are the issue and that the restaurant if full (it wasn’t full tho). Never seen this level of aggression in a restaurant. Save yourself from stress and go elsewhere, there are better restaurants in Berlin.

The food came extremely slowly. From the time we ordered until we could finally eat, we waited over an hour. When we asked the staff about the situation, a waiter (white T-shirt, black beard, baseball cap worn backwards) pointed to our table and said loudly: “You ate appetizers earlier. The waiting time after the starters is 50 minutes, not an hour. You have to respect us and not insult us.” That was extremely annoying and outrageous. Instead of apologizing, the waiter lectured us?!?!! At the end, the manager did offer two desserts as an apology, but the desserts were bad - the cake (sponge) was full of water, like a thawed, soggy cake from the fridge.
