Ratskeller Kopenick in Berlin

A very friendly and well-coordinated team, pleasant atmosphere, and the food, at reasonable prices, has never disappointed me. Whether as a couple or a family birthday party, it's always worth a visit. Highly recommended.

I only had a small snack here (potato soup), which was very tasty. The atmosphere is very pleasant, and the service is attentive and exceptionally good.

A lovely end to my stay in Köpenick. The reception and service staff were top-notch and super friendly. The food: A Sauerbraten to die for. Buttery tender meat and a fantastic sauce. The Burgundy cabbage was a bit overcooked for my taste. The dumplings were very good. Highly recommended.

What a shame! I was so looking forward to my half duck. From a gastronomic perspective, it was a disaster. Poor service because communication with the customer wasn't adequate. We waited 1.5 hours for our food on a Friday. The waitress said it was normal. We didn't think it was normal and left. How could this have been done better? Clear communication to the customer that they had forgotten to order their food. An apology to bridge the wait with drinks on the house.

We had lunch at the Ratskeller on October 17, 2025. It was truly delicious and very nice. The server was super nice and friendly. We will definitely eat there again.

The food was special. The service was friendly, but no one went out of their way for us. And: no "Berlin beer" on offer.

I can recommend it, it's very nice and the food was excellent.

The combination of ingredients was excellent, and the food was delicious! The only thing I didn't enjoy was the cold crème brûlée. Everything else was 5 out of 5, including the friendly staff, the beer (try the Budvar!) and the very tasty white wine.

I have nothing to complain about, everything is chic and delicious.

After at least 20 years, I've had the pleasure of experiencing the Ratskeller as a cozy restaurant. Apart from the cobwebs on the brass dachshunds, I had no complaints and would certainly be happy to return.

Food, ambiance, service... Everything was exemplary! THIS is what gastronomy should be like. The dishes are perfectly balanced in flavor and cooked to perfection. The ambiance is stylish yet cozy. The service is attentive, friendly, and unobtrusive. Highly recommended!

I was born and married in Köpenick. One of the few restaurants still serving good, home-style cooking, and the prices are reasonable. I felt very comfortable, and the service and quality of the food were excellent. Highly recommended.

We waited about 20 minutes for the menu to order a meal where we expected something and then got a schnitzel (which was relatively good), 3 potatoes and 3 asparagus spears for 30€. The best thing about the whole place was the atmosphere in the forestry during the game against Werder Bremen, unfortunately disappointing.

I've been to Ratskellers all over Germany. Köpenick and Bremen are the best of all!

Extremely friendly (perhaps a bit too friendly for some..."for the young man, the beautiful woman..., asked for the child's name." Everyone was addressed like that several times. While handing out cards, bringing drinks, etc.). The toddler's drink came in a cup and straw. Finally, a restaurant that doesn't provide a glass for toddlers. We often go out to eat, but 99% of the time he gets a glass, and 50% of the time at least a straw. It's much easier for a toddler to drink from a cup like that, and we as parents don't have to worry about the glass... The child was immediately given a high chair without having to ask. The children's menu included a coloring sheet. Pens were also provided. Perfect. The staff was very attentive, constantly asking if they wanted any more drinks, whether the food was tasty, etc. The food was truly excellent. The child got fries, even though they weren't available on the menu. All of our dishes were particularly delicious and beautifully presented on plates. The restroom and restaurant seemed clean. We would love to come back next time we're in Berlin.

I ate here on a Friday. Around 2:30 p.m. The kitchen is open for lunch until 4:00 p.m., which I find a good thing. It was very hot, and the cool vaulted cellar was a wonderful spot for me. I received the menu fairly quickly. However, it took a while for the first order to be taken. I wish the request for a drink had come a little faster, given that it was 34°C outside. The service was generally unobtrusive and friendly. The menu is extensive. There's a seasonal menu and also a small selection of dishes for vegans/vegetarians. I opted for a homemade strawberry rhubarb lemonade with mint. It took a bit of getting used to at first, as the consistency was more like a smoothie. But I can still recommend the lemonade. It was very tasty. For my dish, I chose fish with braised cucumbers. The food tasted good, but not outstanding. Good, unexciting, home-style cooking. Overall, I was very full after one course. Unfortunately, I didn't get to try dessert. The rooms are, of course, very special. Everything is very well-maintained. What struck me positively was the cleanliness—everything from the table to the dishes, glasses, and cutlery was spotlessly clean.

Good, home-style cooking still exists in venerable town hall cellars like the one in the beautiful Köpenick Town Hall. The meat is of excellent quality, tender, and delicious (I had Duroc pork), and the portions are as large as ever. The vegetables are varied, fresh, and crisp, and not overcooked! The wine selection also includes more unusual varieties, such as a dry (!) Gelber Muskateller from Rheinhessen, which I highly recommend. The food is served quickly, and the service is super friendly and attentive. Five stars! 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

...a really good meal in the old walls beneath the town hall 😄. The friendly waitress was very accommodating when we asked to change seats because a birthday party two tables away started laughing and talking very loudly. The Piano Room is another great room that I highly recommend. The food was very good and plentiful.

I ate there with a friend on Sunday. We had the Ratskeller platter with three types of meat (cold beef steak, warm pork medallion, cold chicken breast). That was a disappointment, but otherwise the food was top-notch. I've never eaten such a delicious salad. The food was top quality; next time you'll do better. I brought it up after the meal because I was hungry. They told me it was only briefly fried. But sorry, cold food is not acceptable. I'll definitely be back; I also gave a good tip. It was a high standard despite the faux pas, hence only 4 stars.

A truly beautiful restaurant with a feel-good factor. Very good service and delicious food. We sat inside and found it very cozy. Even the noise from other guests wasn't too loud, so it was easy to have a good conversation. We were very satisfied with everything.

There were seven of us and we received a very warm welcome. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and attentive. All the dishes were delicious. The seasonal drinks were also impressive. We would be happy to return and can recommend the Ratskeller with a clear conscience.

A well-known restaurant in Köpenick's town hall, it's been around for a long time. We sat outside and got a nice table even without a reservation. The food (goulash) was excellently seasoned and otherwise very good. The "children's menu" is more for small children, but we were given a children's portion of goulash upon request – very good! Only a small complaint about the service: Although very nice and friendly, they weren't really on the ball – I had to get my own cutlery, and the wait (for food and payment) was almost long. My recommendation: Go there – it's worth it!

OK - but in my opinion the price-performance ratio is not right, or if the prices are in that range, the service must be appropriate too.

There were four of us (two families). We were in this restaurant for the first time. And it was Valentine's Day. They cooked and brought us food quickly. We ordered four different main hot dishes. They were all very tasty. Many thanks to the cook! And thanks to the waiters! The atmosphere is very pleasant. We recommend visiting this restaurant.

I've rarely been greeted with such an unfriendly welcome. The reservation was recorded incorrectly. Instead of politely seeking a solution, I was yelled at. No sense of hospitality. Luckily, there's a friendly Greek restaurant around the corner...

Amazing food and atmosphere! I had the smoked pork knuckle with sauerkraut, potatoes, and beer sauce. The flavour combination was excellent, and I really enjoyed the experience of dining in an old town hall cellar.

We highly recommend the Ratskeller. We dropped in spontaneously for dinner on a busy Saturday evening. Despite being very busy, they successfully managed to find us a table. Great service, friendly staff, and the food was sensationally delicious. The pasta could have cooked a little longer, as could the cauliflower, which was practically half-raw, but that can happen in any kitchen and is certainly forgivable. Yes, pasta should be al dente, and I don't like the cauliflower to be completely mashed, but here the cooking time for both was just not perfect; it was too short. Otherwise, as I said, everything was well-seasoned, fresh, and delicious. We felt at home, and the price/performance ratio was also good. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, the tram stop will be there until 2027 and blocks the beautiful view.

Food was tasty, but took a long time. There was a lot going on, but I don't understand why vanilla ice cream takes so long. Prices are rather high for the portions.

Great restaurant - something different (in a positive sense) than the usual Ratskeller. Great card & service.

Unfortunately a disappointment! I overcame myself to order the duck for €30 based on a recommendation! I don't want to say that the food was bad, but unfortunately it wasn't my taste at all. The red cabbage and sauce were completely over-seasoned and the duck was tougher rather than tender! The service was great! Very nice but not artificial.

Why only 3 stars? There is the noticeable unfriendliness or perhaps annoyance of the service staff, no, that has nothing to do with Berlin snout. Then there's the lack of flexibility - it wasn't possible to mash a few potatoes for the child despite politely asking. No, unfortunately there will not be a second visit here.

We would like to thank the team at Ratskeller Köpenick. Yesterday we spent our golden wedding anniversary with the family, 13 people. The Nante room was given to us, so we were alone in the room and our children and grandchildren were able to put on a nice program for us. The staff were very attentive and looked after us very well. We ate a la carte and everyone was very happy with their choice of food. So thank you very much and we'll be back.

Hello, actually I was disappointed. I was looking forward to the invitation, but my expectations were not met. My meal, tomato tagliatelle (vegetarian/vegetarian) Fresh pasta | Tomato sauce | Kalamata olives | Parmesan | Wild herbs Tagliatelle | fruity tomato-olive sauce | parmesan: was cold, pasta was hard, wild herbs consisted of dill, lots of parsley and 2 stalks of lettuce. I didn't want to say anything that evening because that would have been rude to my hosts. I don't think they'll come back either. Their food also didn't look inviting and super fresh, appropriate for the price.

The Ratskeller is always worth a visit because there is a great, historical atmosphere in the middle of Köpenick and very good food for all tastes.

Beautiful restaurant with lots of charm and excellent cuisine! We tried asparagus salad with strawberries, pork knuckle, entrecôte and a fantastic dessert with passion fruit - everything was delicious and lovingly prepared. We would particularly like to highlight the attentive and warm service, especially from Josephine. A place to feel good – we would love to come back!

A visit is an experience. The ambience is unique and the creations from the kitchen are delicious. The service is careful, courteous and always has an open ear for guests' wishes. Smoked bread is an absolute delicacy and is served with potato soup, among other things.

Ich habe mir das Köpenicker Rathaus und die Altstadt angeschaut und bin dann in den Ratskeller zum Mittagessen gegangen. Ich habe mich dort wohl gefühlt und habe dort ein Zanderfilet mit Kartoffel-Gurken-Ragout gegessen. Das Essen hat gut geschmeckt und der Service war freundlich und schnell.
