A charming inn with friendly staff and delicious food. We really enjoyed it. The only downside is the limited parking. We'll be back! 😉

We had reserved a table, and the restaurant was quite busy. The food was delicious, without exception. The service needs improvement – ​​we kept getting overlooked. After a while, we got the menus ourselves, and we also had to order drinks at the bar because the server once again couldn't reach the tables in the back.

Very tasty! The ambiance is designed to resemble a forest lodge, but that didn't bother me personally. The staff were polite and cheerful. Nothing to complain about 👍!

I know we were in the forester's lodge. But there were far too many dead animals on the wall for me. But the food was very, very good. And the rest is a matter of taste.

ATTENTION: The last two parking spaces on the right cost €107.35. On August 30th, we met for a small family celebration at the Altes Forsthaus (Old Forester's House). We luckily found a parking space in front of the restaurant and sat in the quiet beer garden in perfect weather (two couples). The pleasant and friendly service arrived quickly, and our little celebration began. The delicious food and drinks were served promptly. At the end, we had a pleasant chat with the waitress. The rude awakening came on September 8th (shortly before our vacation) in the form of a payment demand from Parkcontrol24 for €107.35 for illegal parking in front of the restaurant. We were guests, as the sign in front of the restaurant stated. Why didn't the informant ask the restaurant who owned the car in the parking lot? We didn't clearly recognize the prohibited parking situation. In the letter from Parkcontrol, we were informed that if we didn't pay on time, it would be very expensive. We contacted Parkcontrol24 – no way, we had to pay. And thank you for pointing out that they didn't tow the car; that saved us another €300. Thank you so much for that. The restaurant is absolutely recommended.

A unique ambiance, with lots of stuffed animals, antlers as lamps, and much more. Just take a look and eat delicious food. The cabbage roll was incredibly delicious, as was the pike-perch fillet with all the side dishes. We barely managed it, and unfortunately, we had to pass on dessert.

We ate here a week ago. We really enjoyed the food. I had the cabbage roll and my daughter had the fish catcher. The service was attentive and very friendly. The prices are reasonable, and card payments are accepted. We'd be happy to come back.

Not recommended, as they're rarely open anyway. Opening hours aren't adjusted, and if you go there, they're always closed, even on holidays :-(

We also extend our sincere praise to the owners of the Altes Forsthaus. The starters and main courses were excellent. The service staff was very friendly and prompt. A quick look at the farm shop also impressed us. A small liqueur and elderberry jam were a must. We felt completely at home and will definitely be back. Five stars for everything...

We ate a wonderfully delicious and crispy duck here. It's rare to find something grilled this well. The service was exceptionally friendly. The interior is very cozy and well-maintained. We wish the same for the garden area. There's still room for improvement in the garden maintenance. Overall, the restaurant is definitely worth a visit. The duck is addictive 🤣!

My husband and I came here spontaneously and were not disappointed. Very rustic and cozy atmosphere, the menu has a clear concept. Prices are reasonable. The food tasted excellent! Everything fresh and home cooked. Can really recommend the old forester's house.

Unfortunately not a recommendation, the atmosphere as an old forester's lodge is absolutely great. Unfortunately the kitchen can't keep up. There were 7 of us at the table. The first plate of fish fingers, which no longer had any croquettes, arrived a good 10 minutes before the next dishes. A chef should be able to quickly make croquettes himself, Hollandaise sauce was hardly available and bread butter had to be found. Then after another 5 minutes two plates of Wiener Schnitzel arrived, which had not been beaten or breaded and therefore tasted largely neutral. The last thing that arrived 10 minutes later was the fillet skewer pan, which made a good visual impression. In terms of taste, the pork and poultry fillets were very dry and fried to death. In my opinion, the operation is not professional. At the beginning alone it took almost 10 minutes for the order to be taken. It took a lot of time before the drinks were delivered individually, which we used in the meantime to light the candles on the table ourselves. After the meal, when the plates were taken away, one of the service staff pushed the leftovers onto a plate at the table. I've never experienced anything like that anywhere. The concept urgently needs to be reconsidered here. We have no recommendations for guests who expect delicious, creative food. If you like frozen and convenience food in a restaurant, you can definitely get your money's worth here. Very unfortunate.

The stuffed animals probably belong in a forestry house. If anyone else likes this please. To eat the goose there were only legs. Where is the rest of the goose? dumplings; Red and green cabbage weren't homemade either. You should think about €25 per person.

Die halbe Ente ist ein Träumchen. Dafür reisen wir immer wieder gerne aus Berlin an. Die Atmosphäre ist urig und gemütlich. Die Bedienung ist fix und sehr freundlich. Leider ausser Salat nichts Vegetarisches.

Hier stimmt einfach alles.Wir gehen seit 23 Jahren in diesem Restaurant essen und feiern auch immer gerne mit der ganzen Familie Jubilare.Diese Lokalität kann ich jedem empfehlen.

Der Biergarten ist ganz gemütlich nur der Service ist ein wenig dürftig wir hatten eine Vorspeise und den Hauptgang aber keine Getränke dazu erst auf Nachfrage kamen dann diese . Das Essen war top sehr schön angerichtet gute Portionen und sehr lecker bei der Rechnug wollte man allerdings zu viel Getränke berechnen wir wollten den restlichen Salat mitnehmen es wurde einfach abgeräumt und fertig andere Gäste wartete über 1 Stunde auf ihr Essen welche schon vor uns da waren und wurden mit 1 Schnäpschen abgespeist ob wir nochmal wiederkommen wissen wir nicht das sind doch gemischte Fakten
