On Wednesday my husband and I finally wanted to go out for a little something to eat at Schweinske in Bergedorf for lunch. The weather was great and you can dine wonderfully on the water (pontoon). It didn't take long for the young waitress to arrive.
My husband ordered a large currywurst with French fries (10.40 euros) and a cup of coffee (1.50 euros), according to the food and drink menu, which was stuck in a stand on the table!
I ordered a pork loaf (4.20 euros) and a cup of coffee (1.50 euros).
The order was carried out quickly. The two cups of coffee came immediately!
To our surprise, the cups were only half full! But we haven't said anything yet.
I took a sip of coffee before the young lady came back with the food.
It was so bitter that I almost spat. My husband also tried it and confirmed that you can't drink the coffee like that! So I asked the waitress for hot water, which she gave us
brought in a small carafe. The coffee is the worst we've ever had.
Then the food came. The “Schweini” was prepared appetizingly and tasted very good! My husband also really liked the currywurst, but the portion of fries was quite small.
We wanted to pay. This time separately.
Now something happened that we had never experienced before!
The waitress told me the amount I should pay: 7.00 euros!
I corrected her and said I only had to pay 5.70! She objected because in her system there was only a cup of coffee, but not a cup, which costs 2.80 euros for her but is shown on the card as 2.70!
She actually wanted to collect 2.80 euros each from my husband and me. I ask the boss to clarify this because of course I won't pay for something I haven't eaten.
The waitress replied that the boss was not in the house.
After a long debate, I kindly offered to pay for a cup of coffee (2.80 euros) and my husband only paid for his currywurst! Then the young lady agreed.
It leaves a bad aftertaste because we can't help but feel that
the missing "cup" of coffee in the system could be intentional!!!
We were there on Easter Sunday and got a table for 2 people without waiting.
As usual, the food at L’Osteria was good and the service was quick and efficient.
Ate here with the godchildren (4;6) on a Wednesday evening. There wasn't much going on. Super hospitable and child-friendly service. The kiddies legitimately gave the pizza a 10/10. We would love to come back and we felt very welcome
I can only recommend it. Very friendly and attentive staff. Quality of the food excellent. Price/performance ratio is right. Quantity more than sufficient. Large, varied menu.
Incredibly great service. Warmest welcome and great food. It was an evening like you would expect in a restaurant. Thank you for that!!! We'll be back!
I don't recommend anyone to go there. I have known this shop for a long time and have often eaten there and I liked the shop back then, but the quality and respectful treatment of customers has decreased. A few days ago I was eating there and when I wanted to pay with the card, the (waitress) deliberately entered a higher amount than the specified amount without agreement or anything else
Something like that is disrespectful and a rip off!!
It wasn't an accident, it was intentional!
Inattentive service, only one pasta dish on the menu at an Italian restaurant…. Also rare, hardly anything new on the very small menu, boring. Some tables very quickly.
If the website shows a lunch menu with good cheap dishes, but none of them are offered on site - instead either pizza or plus around 15 EUR the dishes... We left again.
Service could have been better. My girlfriend had ordered another drink. The waiter had forgotten and preferred to play cards with a guest. I asked for sweetener, forgot again and preferred to go back to playing cards.
Really good burger joint! Four of us went there, and the burgers were really delicious. The milkshakes were also great! The decor is just as a good burger joint should be: American diner style from the 1960s! If we're ever in Hamburg again, we'll definitely stop by. Highly recommended!
The ambience is great. The food was mostly good (even if the Parmesan nest was unfortunately soggy last time). But the service just doesn't match the rest, especially the prices. Would-be funny sayings "Hello ladies", no asking if it tastes good, if you want a dessert. No farewell. Simply flippant, unloving and not appropriate for the restaurant. Personally, the service makes a lot of difference for me, in this case unfortunately a reason not to come here again
