Schweinske Bergedorf in Hamburg

On Wednesday my husband and I finally wanted to go out for a little something to eat at Schweinske in Bergedorf for lunch. The weather was great and you can dine wonderfully on the water (pontoon). It didn't take long for the young waitress to arrive. My husband ordered a large currywurst with French fries (10.40 euros) and a cup of coffee (1.50 euros), according to the food and drink menu, which was stuck in a stand on the table! I ordered a pork loaf (4.20 euros) and a cup of coffee (1.50 euros). The order was carried out quickly. The two cups of coffee came immediately! To our surprise, the cups were only half full! But we haven't said anything yet. I took a sip of coffee before the young lady came back with the food. It was so bitter that I almost spat. My husband also tried it and confirmed that you can't drink the coffee like that! So I asked the waitress for hot water, which she gave us brought in a small carafe. The coffee is the worst we've ever had. Then the food came. The “Schweini” was prepared appetizingly and tasted very good! My husband also really liked the currywurst, but the portion of fries was quite small. We wanted to pay. This time separately. Now something happened that we had never experienced before! The waitress told me the amount I should pay: 7.00 euros! I corrected her and said I only had to pay 5.70! She objected because in her system there was only a cup of coffee, but not a cup, which costs 2.80 euros for her but is shown on the card as 2.70! She actually wanted to collect 2.80 euros each from my husband and me. I ask the boss to clarify this because of course I won't pay for something I haven't eaten. The waitress replied that the boss was not in the house. After a long debate, I kindly offered to pay for a cup of coffee (2.80 euros) and my husband only paid for his currywurst! Then the young lady agreed. It leaves a bad aftertaste because we can't help but feel that the missing "cup" of coffee in the system could be intentional!!!

If you are in Hamburg and you don't want to go to a fast food restaurant for dinner and you have a 24-hour ticket, hop on the S-bahn line number S2 and go to Bergedorf. A 10-minute walk from the station is a wonderful restaurant serving delicious schnitzels - Schweinske. This is only my second visit there, but I already know that this is my new favorite place for both lunch and dinner. The prices are also affordable - I paid 22 Euro for a set of Neapolitan pizza schnitzel with a large portion of fries, salad and half a liter of Pepsi with ice. The schnitzel was seasoned very well, the fries were fresh and with an interesting pepper sprinkle, and the salad was very good.

The cocktails are always very tasty and beautifully presented. We like the food excellently and the jetty on the water is an absolute highlight. The waiters always try hard to make the customers happy and to fulfill every wish.

Not recommended! As a greeting from the kitchen there was dry bread. Neither dips, oil nor vinegar were served. The fried potatoes were soft, cut way too thick and without any roasted flavor. The goulash meat was tough and the red cabbage was way too sweet. When it came to the forged pan, the minced steak was simply forgotten. The pulled pork burger was lukewarm and rather mediocre. Unfortunately, the waiter spoke German poorly, which made communication regarding criticism and suggestions for improvement difficult. In general there was a feeling that the entire team had rather amateur training. For us it was the last time at Schweinske, for that money we'd rather go somewhere else to eat :-)

We were traveling for work in Hamburg for 3 days and were here every evening. A great place to stay, with delicious food and drinks and great service.

I'm honest. I never went there because I had several bad experiences in various Schweinske restaurants. But we wanted to go to the theater and so we stopped there. When we walked in we were greeted so warmly and courteously that we were completely amazed. The atmosphere is very well maintained and cozy. Bright and friendly and very clean. When choosing a drink, my husband was offered a type of beer that he didn't know. He was then offered a smaller glass to try and test. Manthi from service was, like all her colleagues, extremely attentive. He kept an eye on us and was super charming. Our wish to have the burger meat cut into small pieces between the buns in the kitchen was so lovingly fulfilled and still served in a very appetizing manner. Mantih unanimously earned a grade of 1 with a star. As well as each of our dishes. Appetizing, extremely tasty and quite acceptable in terms of price and quality. We'll definitely be back. And if you want to fortify yourself before going to the theater, you should definitely try it there. We will definitely come back and give it a 100% recommendation. We had dinner at Schweinske with the family. Food value for money = great. The schnitzel was delicious, the fried potatoes and the potato wedges were top notch. We had a great spot on the jetty, with the sun, delicious beer and lemonade, we really enjoyed the atmosphere. Unfortunately we have to deduct stars for the service. Instead of beer, a shandy was delivered first (no further fuss, swapped, done). Then the food was delivered, but the advertised cranberries were missing. This was also delivered upon request, but it took a while so my Camembert was actually already cooled down. In the second round of drink orders, 2 of 3 drinks came very quickly, but the third drink was not delivered...it was only brought to the table when we asked again - it was simply forgotten. The staff themselves were very nice, but a little more than overwhelmed (our assessment). Since the restaurant wasn't even remotely overcrowded, it can be assumed that there were temporary workers or something similar; the team simply wasn't well-coordinated.

Cozy evening with friends, food and drinks were great and requests were catered for! Super nice staff, gladly again! If the weather is good you can certainly sit outside, but the ambience inside is also pleasant. You can have a good conversation, but the music in the background was at the right volume :)

New motto from Schweinske: less is more or what? Less piggy decorations, less on the plate, less in the customer's wallet at the end. Honestly not! Extremely disappointed, has nothing to do with Schweinske anymore. We ordered our standard breakfast and when the waitress came, we felt really ripped off! The price had increased and there was so little on the plate (1 slice of cheese and a slice of salami, see photo)... We won't be coming back!

We absolutely cannot understand the bad reviews. We didn't have to wait long, we were greeted very friendly, served courteously and my wife's special request was fulfilled without any problems. The schnitzel was crispy and tender. The fries were perfect and my wife's salad was fresh and delicious. We were very satisfied and will definitely come back. After a while we ordered the same meal again and all we could say was that everything was to our satisfaction. That's why we got full points this time. Absolute recommendation and please keep it up.

Simply super cool music, nice service and super tasty

I'm on vacation here and have eaten at Schweinske twice now. It was absolutely delicious, the staff was friendly, the service was quick, and everything didn't take long. From the entrance, at the back right, you have a beautiful view of the water next door, and when the weather is nice, you can even sit outside. The fresh, homemade bread, which you get served with your drink beforehand, is amazing; it tastes truly sensational. I had a burger with fries the first time, and the Schweinske pan the other time. While the burger and fries were very good, as they have been elsewhere, I found the Schweinske pan exceptionally delicious and would definitely have it again next time.

I'm really disappointed. I ordered a schnitzel over Lieferando over two hours ago (paid €20 in advance). After waiting endlessly, the driver finally came on foot - apparently because we only live 600 meters away. Unfortunately, that was no longer an option for me because I had already communicated with Lieferando and the food simply came too late. The driver said the restaurant had just received the order. I then called the restaurant to see if they could confirm with Lieferando that it actually took over two hours. Instead of understanding or accommodation, I experienced the opposite: the boss was completely unaccommodating and didn't offer any solution - not even an apology, no voucher, nothing at all. So now without food and without 20€ Unfortunately, that's not how you treat long-term customers. Too bad. I order here and unfortunately I don't come anymore.

The Schweinske restaurant chain has now caught up in terms of food and has a lot to offer. I have been a guest at this chain for almost 20 years and the price-performance ratio has always been very good. Large portions and very good cocktails that are really cheap, especially during happy hour. From this That's why I've always enjoyed being there. In the meantime, however, the Schweinske has expanded and changed its menu and the food is now not only good value for money but also really good in terms of quality. On the one hand, there are now many healthy options in a very extensive breakfast menu and, on the other hand, there are also great bowls and salads for non-meat eaters. And since almost all of the dishes can now be changed and supplemented, the Schweinske has managed to significantly increase the quality of the food itself and its preparation (even though the prices were only slightly increased). This is particularly noticeable with the schnitzels. Everything is now made fresh and so far every change request has come exactly as ordered. I can particularly recommend the breakfast menu here. For such a small amount of money you can hardly find such a good breakfast anywhere else in Hamburg. So if you haven't been to Schweinske in a long time, you should definitely try this "new" overhauled menu.

With a small vacation from Denmark we needed a place to relax and get some food, and with only 2 min to our hotel we took a chance on schweinske, that's a chance we never regret. Here you fell welcome from the moment you step inside the door, and the food and service is very good, so if you are close to this place, give it a go 🥳 happy and smiling people is almost a rare thing, but here you get it all. 🥰🙏

I was there during Valentine's Day with my girlfriend and I thought the atmosphere there was really great, I also thought the rose that she gave us was very sweet from the young, red-haired waitress, it was also very easy to talk to her, she was very nice, and in general the staff was great. I really liked the large selection of drinks and the food was very tasty. I had the Hamburger Schnitzel, I can only recommend it! Otherwise I can only say I would come by there again.

Went there spontaneously today, unfortunately the atmosphere is really not inviting. Then there are cameras everywhere, I'm assuming there was a data protection sign somewhere. At our table there were empty pepper shakers, there were stains from glasses etc. everywhere on the surrounding tables. I had ordered a pepper schnitzel XXL with fried potatoes, unfortunately I was served the wrong sauce. I could see on the bill that I had a Jägerschnitzel. The portion of fried potatoes is also very small for the price premium. So all in all I won't be going there next time.

Unfortunately I didn't like it at all...cheese platter for breakfast was far too little for the price of over 9 euros. First there was no butter, then two rolls were missing. It's a shame, it used to be much better

After a very long time we returned to the Schweinske. Quality and taste of the food was good as always. But I would especially like to thank you for the wonderful service. Terrible 🤢 ordered pork fillet and meat stinks... mushrooms with onions also dried and old with no taste 🤮 (I'm a pregnant woman) After 10 minutes I got new food and it was the same... 🤮 this isn't the first time where you can't get fresh food in the summer sour cream and garlic dip were sour 🤢 I don't recommend...

Gaumengraus, eine glatte 6!!! Wir waren gestern zum Mittag mit meiner Familie dort Essen. Wir hatten damals in Hamburg gewohnt und waren öfters dort mal essen. Es war immer eine Adresse die man empfehlen konnte, uns hat es immer sehr gut geschmeckt. Kann man mal wieder hingehen dachten wir aber es wurde aus einem „Gaumenschmaus ein Gaumengraus“ Man musste kein Sternekoch sein, um festzustellen das dass was gestern dort aufgetischt wurde eine glatte 6 war! Erstmal hatte ich einen schwarzen Johannisbeere Saft bestellt, was kam eine Schorle! Paprika Schnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln bestellt, was kam das ganze mit Pommes!? Die Schnitzel Größe war auch ein Witz! Die Bratkartoffeln wurden auf Nachfrage nachgereicht…ja…was soll ich dazu! In fett schwimmende fertig Bratkartoffeln! Die Schnitzel waren kaum durch, lag daran wenn sie vor dem braten nicht geklopft werden, wird es eine zähe Masse und somit kaut man sich fest! Die Pommes waren naja…hell, weich, das war auch nichts. Jetzt kommen wir zur sogenannten Paprika/Tomaten Sauce…warum macht man diese nicht selber? Geht total einfach! Es wird stattdessen Letscho aus dem Glas serviert! Salat war im Dressing getränkt schmeckte nach nichts. Fazit: Atmosphäre war ok, Essen ungenießbar, Servicekräfte ok. Preise sind völlig unrealistisch! Das war somit der letzte Besuch in dieser Restaurantkette.

I was at this restaurant for the second time and the food was delicious the second time. I can't say a bad word about the service... but the condition of the toilet the second time was just as bad. There was toilet paper lying around on the floor near the toilets, there were no paper towels to dry hands after washing. I don't understand how other women can leave such dirt behind, but it would also be nice if the courage workers took better care of the toilet conditions, since there wasn't that much going on. But I don't know if I would dare to eat there again if the toilets were in such a condition.

Unfortunately, the whole walk was free, no EC payment was possible, it was written at the door. 15 years self-employed and never had a failure. Incomprehensible to me. Addendum 24.12: and once again no EC card payment is possible. I drive past here on the bus all the time and always have the same problem. Don't think this is due to technical problems 😉. You can also lose guests!

A group of 12 people ate in a relaxed atmosphere in the evening. Super nice, reliable service person. Food prepared very quickly and well by the kitchen, although all guests order different things. Gladly again.

We were here by chance. The service was nice, but there were no soft drinks because the system is broken. There was also only cash payment and that in 2024 because the device is broken. Maybe send a technician there? Food is solidly mediocre, but no drinks and no card payment is really a joke. Above all, you should mention this again BEFORE ordering. Had a bit of a hidden camera, which was NOT possible today.

Unfortunately we were placed in the children's blanket. Even though the store wasn't full, the service needed a lot of improvement. For dinner...we had kale with smoked pork and cabbage sausage. Unfortunately, the kale was only lukewarm and the cola was non-carbonated. The Kassler was grilled, something you don't know. We won't be visiting this piggy anymore.

Very good restaurant, free tables even without a reservation, the menu is extensive and the drinks menu is also sufficient, you could perhaps integrate the drinks menu into the menu to provide a better overview. I find it difficult to leave a star here at all. If, as a family with a child, after waiting almost an hour, you are told off for another 15 minutes and then 40 minutes later you are still told it will take a while, then you shouldn't be surprised if the guests leave and probably don't come back. Worst Schweinske experience in all these years and from experience, unfortunately this is not an isolated case.

Unfortunately the food was anything but good, but the chef couldn't do anything about it. We ordered the schnitzel and the grilled plate and sat diagonally at the food counter. The waiter ran through half the shop and took orders, unfortunately he forgot to pick up the food and bring it to the tables and when he finally noticed that there were already 8 meals there, he ran from table to table with the plates and didn't know what else to do who ordered what. After an hour we got our plates and everything was completely cold. I told him that we don't eat it that way, so I went back to the kitchen, put it in the microwave and got out again, the sauce bowl was really hot but the sauce itself was still cold, the meat was dry and hard and the fries were soggy. It's a shame about the money but it's even sadder that it wasn't a nice evening

!! Danger !! Get proof! Recently they come to the table without a receipt and say a higher amount than what is on the bill and 2 more drinks were simply added to the bill. Food but normal as always, service very dull, forgetting things on the go and constantly throwing things down.

Schnitzel with fried potatoes. The schnitzel was ok, the dip was delicious, the fried potatoes were of dubious quality: unevenly cut, poorly fried, barely brown, despite onions and a bit soggy. Bacon almost tasteless. The service was a pleasure: friendly, approachable, asked for feedback and apologized for deficiencies.

Schweinske now also offers deliveries via Lieferando. However, no one appears to be monitoring the computer that displays the orders. After a wait of 1 hour and 20 minutes, my order was canceled - probably only noticed when the computer was turned off at 9 p.m.
