What a super nice restaurant for breakfast in Hamburg! The food tastes very good! The portions are really big and the prices are really cheap. The staff is quick and very nice, the atmosphere is calm! I can only recommend this restaurant! On my next visit to Hamburg, I would like to eat here again.

We live nearby so we come here often and enjoy having breakfast here. A waitress is almost always there when we are there. She can't even say hello or say when we want to order something extra. I feel uncomfortable every time she serves us. For me it's natural to be friendly and polite, but you can see that's difficult. Otherwise we like being here and the food is okay.

The waitress seemed overwhelmed with taking orders and her knowledge of German. Then I wanted to order another coffee, which my waitress skillfully ignored. Female service worker on December 25th, 2024 was very friendly to her guests. The quality of the food was in the upper range because fresh ingredients were used and it was visible thanks to the show kitchen. Ambiance decorated according to the season and cozy. When paying the bill, the payment was very negative and rude. Tried to pay to get a tip, but I remained stubborn and even insisted on the €0.30.

Food delicious, like almost everywhere too little. An adult should be fed up for €20. Service was quick - ok.

Get a table straight away without a reservation. Unfortunately the waitress was all alone and had to serve several tables. The food tasted good, but unfortunately only some of it was lukewarm.

If a kitchen is as unappetizing as this one, I would have a hard time considering the concept of an “open kitchen”. Hinz and Kunz from the street come in and help themselves to the rolls, they seem to be employees who came from smoking. The meat was dry and bland, the "herb butter" was a disgrace, the grill plate was completely overpriced and I don't even want to get started on the ketchup packets. Real juice shop

Were there with 5 people. The meal - roast pork - went like this. Sauce was very tasty, but unfortunately the meat wasn't that tasty. When we wanted to drink coffee after dinner at around 5:30 p.m., we were told that the coffee machine had already been cleaned and that only coffee crema was available. Sorry, but there is a card on the table with a coffee offer, there is no time limit listed. Maybe you should postpone the cleaning until later or perhaps prefer a thermos flask. Just a tip.

Well located and accessible, nice atmosphere. Unfortunately the food and service were not optimal. Chicken fillet had a very strange taste and burger buns fell apart when trying to eat the burgers. Employees very dismissive, no friendly welcome and a permanently annoyed look, which only briefly changed to a smile when paying for the tip. Toilets were also in questionable condition. Soap dispenser was not functional and the sensor on the paper dispenser only worked reluctantly. We had made a reservation for 7 people and were still seated at a table that was too small while larger tables were available. So far the most modest Schweinske branch that I was “allowed” to visit.

Went to Schweinske's for the first time with our grandchild. Of course there was schnitzel with fries and Fassbrause. For our grandchild it was the best schnitzel he had ever eaten, and we also found it very tasty.

I really enjoy eating at Schweinske... And I was really looking forward to the camembert schnitzel... I was very disappointed with what I got. I got a normal schnitzel with a camembert topping. Not as I knew it or as I expected it to be stuffed. And then I think to myself, no matter why or what the reason is... Then just don't offer it anymore.

We had reserved a table. Sat in the aisle to the back door. It was open. 6 degrees outside. It was drafty and cold. Healthy and vegan selection could become larger.

Wanted to eat at Schweinske on Monday at 2:30 p.m. Unfortunately they weren't served. The nice boy at the bar told us there was no service employee there. I assume there were internal problems between employees here, but why wasn't the restaurant closed if guests cannot be served and are not allowed to order food? It's a shame, on our previous visits we always received decent service and the food tasted great.

We had dinner as a group. Schnitzel in the deep fryer is actually a crime, as are the fried potatoes very greasy and the schnitzel dry. The breakfast was very good. But in retrospect I ask myself whether breakfast should cost 9.90 euros, plus a pot of coffee, a glass of fresh orange juice and scrambled eggs with Bakon 31. Food 3 stars because the dinner wasn't good. Service 4 stars because the service at breakfast took a while. The young lady was always nice and friendly.

Professional super friendly staff. Open kitchen. They were the best fried potatoes in a restaurant. There is also a great garden in which it is worth enjoying a delicious cocktail. Thank you very much

It was really very very tasty. But the waiters were very inattentive and you literally had to call around the store even though there was nothing going on.

I've been here a time or two. This time the food was actually quite okay. Of course, the prices are a bit more expensive and there should be better food, but basically very solid food. I had the hunter-gatherer pig. The schnitzel was ok. I personally liked the sauce. The fried potatoes would definitely need more bacon and onions, then it would taste tastier. But all in all it was pretty good. Our service was super nice and friendly. Always smiled nicely too. The other employees in this store were exactly the opposite that evening. Everyone was in a very bad mood and when you asked about the toilet there were grumpy answers. So you didn't feel quite as comfortable there. But that's how it happens occasionally. The ambience is nothing earth-shattering now. It was made for the masses and is rather standard. Nevertheless, I personally thought the food was good and that was the reason why we were there.

Since we heard that schweinske is a must in Hamburg, and it happened not to be far from our hotel, we stopped by there. Nice venue with good music. Sitting inside and outside invites you to linger. The staff was super nice, despite it being busy. So you can only be congratulated if you have such powers. The only negative thing for us was the food, and that's what you come for. The schnitzels, the flagship, you would think, were nothing special. Apparently freshly breaded, I could have described it as TK schnitzel. Mine was very dry, with fries it was really dusty in the mouth. But I ordered with sauce, but unfortunately the pepper sauce wasn't to my taste at all. It felt like the cheapest ready-made sauce from a 20L bucket, simply warmed up. That really doesn't have to be the case these days. All in all, the food reminded us all of a cheap snack bar rather than a restaurant. But since we all had schnitzel, I might look through it again in the future and other dishes Try it and adjust the rating, it should be better. But it really wasn't anything like that. Maybe the sauces are prepared a little fresher, that would make a big difference. Drinks are otherwise very good. I thought the Udo beer was delicious. Cocktails well mixed 🙂

Tasty and friendly. Quite spontaneously on a Sunday, the table outside wasn't that busy, prompt service and the food was extremely tasty. Nothing to complain about. We'll be back

I had the Camembert Schnitzel, which I didn't really like. It was all very greasy. The service was good and you could eat outside in a nice backyard.

So there were two of us and we ordered 1 morning grouch and 2 scrambled eggs and 1 kiba for each. The woman who took the order also brought us the food. The woman gave us 2 morning grouches and we paid for 2 even though we only wanted one morning grouch, which we thought was a bit bad, but otherwise everything was good 😀

First of all, it was extremely loud, the volume of the television was so loud that it was very difficult to hear what was being said. The food is one, I'll say three minus. There is still a lot of room for improvement. Just fries and schnitzel and a miniature dressing-soaked salad is not why I should definitely come here. You have to put in a little more effort. My filled schnitzel bag tasted like it came from a fat bath and the breading was very thick, the inside consisted mainly of onions, some cheese and even less ham. But the whole inner workings were so little that you only came across it at the end. The prices are quite cheap, the money is made from drinks and everything else you might want. All in all, it goes like this...

Vegetarian food is possible and the quality is quite good, which is why 4 stars 👍

Had a delicious schnitzel when we stayed in Hamburg for the 2024 European Football Championship.

I’m visiting from the U.S. I had their Schnitzel which was very delicious. It was a good experience having German food from what I’m guessing is a family owned restaurant. Great atmosphere and friendly people. The soccer tournament was on and the TV was on a low volume which I appreciated because I wanted to enjoy conversation with my family and I’m glad the owner was considerate of this. Only complaint was they do not take credit card so I had to pay cash. Otherwise, highly recommend.

We booked a table for a wedding reception- great atmosphere and delicious food.

I like to eat at Schweinske and therefore I often have brunch in this Schweinske, in Wandsbek. The food tastes good and the prices are right too. Unfortunately, I've noticed a few times now that there is a waitress (blonde hair) who is basically annoyed and doesn't have a smile to give. If there's a bad day, I understand that, but it's happened three times in a row now. When asked to pay by card, she turns around without comment to get the debit device. She responds to the request for rolls with seeds (sesame or something else) with an annoyed look and the statement that there are none. Nevertheless, she went away with the basket of bread rolls only to come back with mixed rolls. These were two examples of how it unfortunately happens again and again with her. I would like to emphasize that we are always friendly. So there is no reason to constantly be annoyed at us.

The service was very attentive and lightning fast. The food offered what you would expect from a Schweinske meal. The sauce for my schnitzel was unexpectedly good, although it was a bit tight for the XL schnitzel. Conclusion: again and again.😉

We stopped by spontaneously on a Saturday evening at 8:30 p.m. The restaurant was almost empty and only a few tables were occupied. We sat outside. Despite the "empty" service, the service was very slow and unfocused. Price/performance for the food was okay. In the meantime, they started watering the flowers with the garden hose and made the entire outdoor area wet and damp. We would like to try the surrounding restaurants on our next visit to Hamburg.

We were able to sit outside at lunchtime and in the sun. The waiter wiped the Sahara sand off our table and the fries were crispy and hot with lots of mayo and delicious guacamole - a nice lunch break!

For us it was probably the last time at Schweinske. First of all: The service staff was super nice and really tried hard. Unfortunately that was it for the positives. The food was quite salty and the fried potatoes were burnt. We were delivered fries that we hadn't ordered. We only noticed afterwards on the invoice that we had been charged extra for this. After we complained, we got the money back - but the boss wasn't particularly friendly. When we commented that the fried potatoes were burnt, we only shrugged our shoulders and asked if we had eaten any of them (we had - but only minimally). That was also before the complaint about the fries... The chicken crossies were also fried for too long and tasted like stale fat. There was a piece of paper baked into the roll that was served as a starter. Paying 50 euros for fast food, some of which was inedible, is an experience that we will do without in the future.

12/23 The reception was rather cool, as was the mood of the employees, and the tone was very rough towards the guests. The food, as you would expect from Schweinske, was good. The atmosphere needs some improvement (broken decorations, not really Christmassy) Addendum 4/24 The boss's tone is still very harsh, including towards the employees. One of our meals came with the wrong sauce, but we asked for it to be improved.

Unfortunately, the lunch (meatloaf) wasn't very tasty. Too thick, the sauce from the package and the vegetables were overcooked.

During our stay in Germany, we wanted to try the traditional cuisine and decided to order dinner from Schweinske. Everything tasted as bad as it looks.

Good ideas, we had the new, tight Max and Lax. The Lax is a hit with avocado and sour cream.

You get what you expect. No frills. Simply solid schnitzel with fries, delicious bread and attentive service. Solid shop and you know what you're getting when you go to a schweinske. They are happy and like to eat a schnitzel there every now and then. This time it was the spare ribs. They're fried, so they're not mouth-watering fireworks like those from a smoker or grill. Was OK.

Good things at a good price that fill you up… Hearty. Service top, ambience nice rustic.

Ordered food via Lieferando, delivery time stated as 35 to 55 minutes. After almost 80 minutes, the food was only lukewarm and a long black hair was found in the fries.
