Ristorante Mezzogiorno in Hamburg

The four of us sat on the very beautiful garden terrace with a pond and a view of the countryside. On the recommendation of the very attentive service staff, we ordered the 4-course surprise menu. You can choose between fish and meat and we were not disappointed in terms of appearance or taste. We'll definitely be back!

Very, very tasty food! Service very nice and accommodating. Unfortunately there were only a few wines to choose from and the information about the wines was limited, but the food and the garden terrace were really great!!

Restaurant has a beautiful summer garden, food was very tasty. Unfortunately the wine selection was limited and I had requested a separate wine list, which unfortunately wasn't available for me. Service staff was nice, but a bit harsh.

The first visit. And probably the last one too. It's hard to pinpoint what was mainly wrong. In the end there was a feeling of dissatisfaction. There were two tables in the restaurant itself and one table in the garden, where we also sat down. We were quickly provided with a menu and a board with the daily specials. We each ordered a glass of rosé, I was pleased that it was one of my favorite wines. The waiter, a nice person who talked a bit too much, wanted to convince us to take a bottle straight away because we were already ordering 0.4 liters together, the bottle was 0.75 liters. Thank you very much for the calculation help at this point! We declined and said we wanted to go further. We had ordered drinks and the Antipasti Festival and then wanted to order pasta. The drinks came quickly. Then nothing happened for a while, my girlfriend and I had a lot to talk about. At some point the waiter showed up and asked what we had ordered. That was strange when you consider that there was basically nothing going on there. We confirmed the order and the antipasti arrived after a reasonable amount of time from the second order. The food was good, except for the burrata, which had a definite sting and tingled on the tongue. So I stayed there and was told another waiter who was clearing up. He came back and had the cook tell him that this was normal. Point. We sat for a while, without drinks, without any more food, for which it was now too late anyway, then we decided to go to the restaurant to pay. There our first waiter was surprised that we were about to leave... I could have made it short, but that didn't feel fair. They can do something there, they just don't package it well. The more recent entries are mostly different from those from more than a year ago, they are much worse. I don't know what happened there, but the Mezzogiorno should see to pick up there again. Then on a very summery evening they also have a full garden.

We left the restaurant ourselves with the Taste Twelve book without eating anything. Almost nothing was available on a Friday. Service was so-so. It's a shame about the atmosphere.

Not having half of the menu on a Friday evening is absolutely unacceptable. Keller very stroppy. The store wasn't full, but it still seemed completely overwhelmed. Waited forever just for tickets. Only half of the drink order came. Glasses dirty. Plates too. Cutlery with water stains. Toilets underground. Extremely dirty and stuffy. Also, neither toilet paper nor hand paper. The inner courtyard is generally nice, but completely run down. We then left the restaurant without food. Wine was charged in full. A concession would have been appropriate. Was passed with the words: “Yes, goods are always delivered on Saturday”. Unfortunately, absolutely not recommended. There are much better Italians there.

Unfortunately we had to experience very poor service at Mezzogiorno today. It started because our menus were very different. One was missing the appetizers page and another was missing the non-alcoholic drinks. The appetizer was delicious afterward. However, it took almost 1.5 hours until the main course was delivered. The main course tasted rather average. When paying, the waiter “forgot” the Taste12 books (which were on the table all evening and were also registered when we made the reservation) and had to be made aware again separately that we wanted to use them. Unfortunately, it was only on the way home that we noticed additional errors on the bill. So we were charged for two large soft drinks even though we only got two small ones and the water bottles were also more expensive than stated on the menu.

A beautiful ambience, but unfortunately that's where it ends. We had to wait a very long time for our food, at least 1.5 hours until the main course was at the table. We were there with the book “Taste Twelve” and it was on the table the whole time. Apparently this was deliberately ignored. When we ordered the bill, we had to point out to the waiter that he would take this into account. Unfortunately, it wasn't until we got home that we noticed that the bill was incorrect. Ordered one large Fanta and paid for two. Bottle of water overcharged… The invoice is of course handwritten.

People. What a failure that was. Service so-so. Food a complete failure :-( .... - Cream of asparagus soup = asparagus water - Pizza = no knives available to CUT things on the smooth plates - Pasta with truffle = no taste at all - Vino = Primitovo was out, alternative like vinegar water - Beer = Perroni otherwise very tasty - but at room temperature Overall, it's a very, very shame for what was actually a really beautiful place Ambiance of this restaurant.

The food was solid, unfortunately not a particular style. The older waiter was quite condescending and curt. In the end, the card machine didn't work either, so I had to walk to the nearest bank in the rain - an apology, a drink on the house or something like that would have been nice as a gesture. Unfortunately not good style for a posh Italian in such a district.

I have rarely experienced such poor and harsh treatment as a guest, which was obviously clearly based on the expected return - people chatted affably at the neighboring table. The food was mediocre at best. The restaurant is not recommended.

Great food (beautifully prepared, fantastic taste), great service (not intrusive, but very attentive) - we'll be happy to come back :)

Very good Italian in Pöseldorf. We had the steak and the cod and both dishes were very well prepared and we enjoyed them very much. Rather higher priced Italian, but worth it in my opinion. We can recommend it!

I can only agree with the other reviews of Taste12. Unfortunately it was a big letdown and the quality of the food was very poor.

Chic appearance. Friendly staff. Delicious food. Risotto was tasty. Delicious, greasy pizza. Small side note: tasty, but everyone must be in the toilet within the hour.

Taste Twelve lured us to the restaurant on Valentine's Day and unfortunately it was a disaster. It started with chaotic service (water only came after we asked, the waiter kept bumping into the chair, after the intermediate course we asked twice whether we had already had the intermediate course) bad food (deadly fried meat that failed to revive in the microwave, truffle puree without truffle flavor, frozen tuna, ladyfingers in tasteless cream for dessert) to the incorrect bill. Not to mention that the portions were only half as big as those at the neighboring tables. A Valentine's Day menu with a very bitter aftertaste. Maybe “Taste Twelve” should choose its cooperation partners more carefully, because these experiences rub off on the concept. We weren't put off by the negative comments. Should we have done...

It was very nice! We were there as guests with Taste Twelve. A very pleasant atmosphere, very friendly and attentive service who gave us good advice. Very good service! Yes, and the food was a real treat! Thanks!!

Everything was a perfect evening until the bill was paid. Despite previously announcing that we would like to use the Taste Twelve promotion, this was rejected. Reason: “They should have announced this again when ordering the food!” was the statement. ☹️ It's a shame, the evening ended on a very negative note. Let's see 👀 whether the restaurant deserves a second chance. I'm very disappointed at the moment 😞

I wonder why this restaurant is taking part in 'Taste 12'...The goal should be to keep guests coming back and to arouse enthusiasm. The food was very tasty, the service was efficient, the bill was wrong. The intermediate course was counted as the main course and deducted; it was only changed after discussions. In short, food was good, service and friendliness could be improved, not a recommendation.

Unfortunately not enough for Hamburg Milchstrasse. Unfortunately for Pöseldorf it's not as good as you'd expect. Service works like this. No music in the store, no atmosphere, hardly any Italian spirit. Food ok...Tuna tartare was prepared with tomatoes...hmm...Unfortunately in this area and for the price I expected a lot more...

“More appearance than reality” The food was just average, which is not appropriate given the prices. The starters tasted uninspired, just boring. For main courses we had the lime risotto and the truffle pasta. Both were okay, but nothing more. The risotto in particular was quite runny and only tasted like lime and pistachio on the surface. The employees were super nice, but not really professional either. We expected more given the prices.

A small, simple Italian restaurant with a quiet candlelit atmosphere. Tiramisu on a world-class level, the service is super friendly and on time!

Der Standort und das Ambiente von diesem Ristorante ist vorzüglich. Aber das ist nicht alles. Der Service ist perfekt. Uns wurde die Garderobe abgenommen und zum reservierte n Tisch geführt. Umgehend wurde frisches Brot mit Oliven und Wasser gereicht. Besser geht nicht. Auf der Karte wurde das Vitello Tonnato auf Blätterteigtörtchen angepriesen. Das reizte uns sehr und so wollten wir diese ausgefallene Variante auch probieren. Die Enttäuschung war groß, als das Vitello nur herkömlich auf dem Teller serviert wurde. Der Service kam auch gleich mit dem Koch um sich zu entschuldigen, dass gerade kein Teig in der Küche vorrätig wäre. Schade, das hätte man uns vorher sagen müßen, dann hätten wir ganz sicher eine andere Vorspeise gewählt. Das Tatar von Sashimi-Thunfisch und der Auberginenauflauf kamen wie in der Karte beschrieben. Geschmacksicher waren sie alle. Die kross gebratene Kalbsleber auf venez. Art schmeckte. Das Dorschfilet war leider etwas trocken. Entweder zu lange im Ofen oder in der Pfanne. Die Fischstücke waren mächtig. Eigentlich waren alle Portionen nicht gerade klein. Wir wurden zur Entschädigung zum Vitello-Gericht zum Dessert eingeladen. Das ist nicht selbstverständlich und zeigt eine besondere Klasse. Das Semifreddo sehr lecker und auch nicht gerade wenig. Das war schon toll. Ich denke, beim nächsten mal wird alles besser und man kann die volle Punktzahl geben.

The two of us were at Ristorante Mezzogiorno on a Saturday evening. The restaurant looks inviting both from the outside and the inside and the ambience leaves little to be desired - but it is not the coziest or most memorable restaurant in Hamburg. The dishes (in our case Vitello Tonato, two main courses with fish and meat and tiramisu) are consistently good and the price-performance ratio is also reasonable in our opinion - the wine was tasty, but at a slightly higher price. However, the service left a lot to be desired: the bread (as a greeting from the kitchen) came e.g. B. only with/after the starter and the tiramisu was forgotten first. The basic problem here was that the service staff took a lot of time to look after two (obviously) tables of regular guests and you felt like second-class guests who also happened to be in the restaurant. Despite the need for interaction with guests, a little more sense of proportion and equal treatment would certainly help, because otherwise it was a really nice visit. All in all, we had delicious food with suboptimal service, which resulted in an overall 4-star rating (moving towards 3-stars).

Food: Delicious, only the portion size was a bit small, despite the menu. Service: Nice, Italian charm, mostly attentive, but I asked for a dry wine and had the feeling that the waiter wanted to test me, because the first wine (he brought to taste in advance) was very sweet 😂 the one after that was very, very good, heavy and dry. Ambiance: Tight but cozy.

We ate there with a voucher booklet (eat two main courses, pay for one) and, in addition to the shared starter and a bottle of water, we had Decided on two main courses. When we were offered an “upgrade” to a shared T-bone steak for the same price when ordering the two main courses, we accepted it. Later when paying, in addition to the starter, which was more expensive than stated in the menu (€16.50 instead of €14.50), the bill showed a whopping €125 for the shared main course - instead of the promised €30-40! An impudence that we actively pointed out when paying. However, we were put off with a dismal “the boss didn’t agree with the upgrade”. We were then carelessly scribbled into the voucher booklet that next time we would get the discount that we would actually get and then we would be given another €35 discount. Simply outrageous and unbelievable that this restaurant made it into Hamburg's very nice voucher booklet using such methods. Simply not recommended!

The two of us came with a voucher book: order 2 main courses, pay for one. When ordering, the waitress offered us the option of choosing two menus and only paying for one. Lt. Menu costs 59.50. But the bill then showed 84 euros. When asked, it was mumbled that the price was different when using the voucher book. Absolute rip-off, because even two menus with very manageable portions were not worth 84 euros. Big disappointment.

Wir kamen zu zweit mit einem Gutscheinbuch: 2 Hauptgerichte bestellen, eins bezahlen. Bei der Bestellung wurde uns angeboten, zwei Menüs zum Preis von einem zu bestellen, lt Speisekarte kostet das Menü 59,50 Euro. Auf der Rechnung waren es dann 84 Euro. Auf Nachfrage wurde genuschelt, dass es bei Nutzung des Gutscheins ein anderer Preis sei. Absolute Abzocke, große Enttäuschung, zumal die eher kleinen Portionen beim Menü ihr Geld nicht Wert waren.

Price-performance ratio is absolutely disproportionate.

Wir waren abends zu viert im Mezzogiorno. Das Restaurant hat ein schönes Ambiente. Wir hatten das Überraschungsmenü und es war köstlich. Das Essen war nicht günstig, aber wir fanden es von der Qualität absolut angemessen. Der Service war hervorragend. Insbesondere Laura war eine wahre Freude..

In dem Preissegment habe ich schon besser gegessen, es war lecker, aber nicht so besonders.

Service freundlich, aber sehr unaufmerksam. Essen durchschnittlich und viel zu teuer. Insgesamt unbeffriediegend. War mein erster und letzter Besuch.

Aus dem spontanen Besuch wurde ein richtig netter Abend. Wir wurden mehr verwöhnt als bedient. Wunderbarer Insalata di Pomodori Siciliani, köstlich die Spaghetti mit Krustentieren und Tintenfisch. Alles sehr angenehm.

We live in the area and always wanted to check this restaurant out as it looks very nice from the outside, but overall the experience was quite disappointing. We (couple with a 5 yr old kid) reserved a table outside. The garden in the backyard is very nice to start with the good things, loads of green with a small pond. Food was decent enough, but not extraordinary for the prices (E.g. Gnocchi in tomato sauce €17, Pasta with truffles from the parmesan lomb €30). What was most underwhelming was the service. Table not set when we arrived. It took quite a while for our waiter to come to even take the drink order. Forgot the cutlery with the food. Olive oil came 5 mins after the bread. No wine card, he said I'll tell you the wines even with the prices, but then didn't mention the prices and so. Oh well, maybe he had a bad day or we were just unlucky, but we won't be coming back.

Eigentlich hatte ich mir mehr erhofft, da wir ja schon dort gegessen hatten, als die Räumlichkeiten noch auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite waren. Damals waren wir sowohl vom Service als auch vom Essen sehr begeistert. Heute waren wir nun in den neuen Räumlichkeiten und sind leider enttäuscht worden. Das Brot, was vorab gereicht wird fehlte komplett, das bestellte Entrecot entpuppte sich als Huftsteak und die krosse Kalbsleber war weder kross noch geschmacklich besonders. Auch fand ich den bestellten Lillet sehr wässrig. Nur das Tiramisu konnte wahrhaftig punkten. Der Service ist ok, sicherlich steigerungsfähig. Vom Preis her kann man eine bessere Qualität erwarten.

Sehr leckeres Essen, schnelle Zubereitung und freundliches Personal. Komme sehr gerne wieder 😊

We had a really good time in this restaurant. Great food, great chef!

Wir wurden sehr arrogant empfangen und unserem Wunsch nach einem Tisch im Garten wurde nicht nachgekommen. Es dauerte sehr lange, bis wir die verschiedenen Gänge bekamen. Beim Zahlen wurden wir darauf hingewiesen, dass das Trinkgeld in bar zu bezahlen sei. Bei Kontrolle der Rechnung danach kamen wir drauf, dass uns eine Flasche Wein zu viel berechnet wurde (stolzer Preis der Empfehlung des Chefs 52€).

Erster Eindruck: schönes Ambiente - jedoch mehr freie als besetzte Tische - ungewöhnlich für einen Samstag Abend !! Service ist freundlich, jedoch an den Gästen komplett desinteressiert. Man kümmert sich lieber rege um die Bekannten an der Bar. Nach Getränken wird nicht gefragt. Erst auf Nachfrage wird Wein angeboten. Dabei wenig kompetent - Frage: süß oder trocken. Dessert wird erst auf Nachfrage angeboten und dann muss noch geklärt werden was denn heute im Angebot ist. Kerzen auf den Tischen werden nicht angezündet, die Papierdecken mindern den wertigen Eindruck. Das Essen selbst war in Ordnung. Bei dem gebotenen Service ist der Preis nicht gerechtfertigt. Es hätte ein schöner Abend werden können - wirklich schade.

Bin immer wieder begeistert! Perfekter Service, aufmerksam, freundlich, hilfsbereit. Die Speisen und Getränke sind einfach köstlich, egal, was ich bestelle. Schicke Räumlichkeiten, alles sauber und gehoben ausgestattet. Schön ist der Garten im Hinterhof, mit kleinem Teich und Pflanzen. Super idyllisch. Hier passt alles ⭐

Im Februar diesen Jahres waren wir im Restaurant Mezzogiorno. Das Ambiente ist wirklich sehr schön. Die Musik im Hintergrund war sehr laut, was die Kommunikation erschwerte. Leider konnte der Service bei unserem Besuch nicht Punkten. Obwohl das Personal freundlich war, fehlte es an Aufmerksamkeit. Es dauerte teilweise sehr lange, bis unsere Bestellung aufgenommen wurde und es kam zu Verzögerungen bei der Bedienung. Ein weitere Aspekt war das Preis-Leitungsverhältnis. Wir persönlich fanden die Preise etwas zu Hoch im Vergleich zur Qualität der bestellten Speisen. Die Portion war okay und geschmacklich konnten es uns nicht vollständig überzeugen.

We’ve had an amazing time here! The restaurant is very cosy, with a lovely hidden garden in the back. The waiters were friendly and very accommodating. Our food was delicious, I certainly recommend the aubergine fried balls as a starter.

Wir kommen regelmäßig in der Mittagspause und es gefällt uns sehr gut! Qualität des Essens ist top und das zu einem fairen Preis. Dazu kommt der wirklich tolle Service, immer zuvorkommend und mit gewissem Schneid

Ein tolles Ambiente, sehr nettes Personal und super leckeres Essen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Ich verstehe die guten Rezessionen hier nicht. Weder am Telefon wurde man höflich beraten, noch vor Ort. Im Restaurant riecht es nach Toilette, der Service ist schlecht geschult, die Pizza war nicht Doll, die Preise für die Qualität zu hoch, man bekam keine Rechnung, es war nicht gewünscht, dass wir mit Karte zahlen und das Personal saß am Nebentisch. Alles in allem überhaupt nicht das, was wir erwartet haben.

Très bon repas, et service impeccable. Je recommande !

가격대가 좀있지만 다맛있음. 트러플핏자 개강추 제발먹어주세요... 리조또도 맛있음. 알리오올리오 파스타나 새우감바스는 메뉴 잘보고 선택해야함. 잘못 고르면 새우5마리에 20€넘는 요리가 나올수도있으니 부가설명 꼼꼼히보자^___^ 웨이터분이 매우 ... 발랄하시다못해 넘치는 신남ㅋㅎ 주말에도 문여는듯? 항상 사람이 많음.

Super Service und super leckeres Essen! Obwohl die Küche knapp besetzt war, konnten für uns (14 Leute) zeitgleich verschiedene Gerichte gezaubert werden. Die Bedienung hat zur Erheiterung beigetragen und hat alle Wünsche erfüllt.

TOP! Einfach mal gut essen gehen. Schönes Restaurant, nette Bedienung und einfach richtig leggäh ;-) Preis - Leistung 1A. Ich sag nur Pizza mit Trüffel...

Köstliches Essen, Überraschungs Menü mit sehr positiven Überraschungen. Rotwein ausgezeichnet. Mein Favorit waren die Gnocchis mit Trüffel/Ricotta Füllung und shaved Trüffel in oh so leckerer Sauce. Zum Geburtstags Dessert eine besonders liebevoll zubereitete Tiramisu/ SchokoEisBombe und Profiteroles mit Wunderkerze a la Traumschiff. Vielen Dank für einen sehr netten Abend

Sehr freundlicher Empfang und Service, leckeres Essen (Thunfisch Tartar, Orechiette mit Wildschwein, Ossobuco, Babysteinbutt) und dazu der frische weisse Hauswein aus Apulien. Fein, und doch wie bei Freunden. Immer wieder gern!

Cameriere simpatico proprietario pezzente! Servizio lento, pizza discutibile, per un errore loro ci hanno fatto pagare in più il vino da noi ordinato (vino da noi ordinato era 37€, vino da loro portato 60€ e ci hanno fatto pagare 7€ in più per un loro errore)

Monika Landsky Nach Übername und langer intensiver Renovierung wurde vor etwas über 1 Jahr geöffnet. Im Sommer sitzt man draußen und jetzt und Winter im gemütlichen Innenraum. Das Essen ist sehr sehr gut. Preis Leistung stimmen. Außerdem gibt es einen Mittagstisch oder auch nur mal eine Pizza wenn einem danach ist. Die Speisen sind nicht nur sehr lecker sondern auch liebevoll angerichtet. Gute Portionen zum sattwerden. Leckeres Brot vom kleinen Biobecker vorweg. Auch sind Soderwünsche kein Problem. Unbedingt empfehlenswert, Sie werden nicht enttäuscht. Preise für Speisen und Getränke absolunt in Ordnung. Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Hamburg Pöseldorf, Milchstrasse fast Ecke Mittelweg. Gut auch mit dem 19ener Bus oder der U Bahn Hallerstraße zu erreichen. Leider sind in ganz Pöseldorf und Rotherbaum nur kostenpflichtige Parkplätze. Leider, leider. Monika Landsky

Wir waren zum Mittagessen dort. Haben lecker gegessen und einen sehr gut gekühlten Wein getrunken. Die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und nett. Hier waren wir nicht das letzte mal.

Wir haben im Mezzogiorno im kleinen Familienkreis nach unserer standesamtlichen Hochzeit gefeiert und waren rundum zufrieden.

Wir waren als Paar abends essen und haben uns quer durch die Karte im Rahmen eines Überraschungsmenüs geschlemmt - passend um das recht neue Lokal kennenzulernen. Jetzt ist es nicht schwierig mich mit italienischer Küche zu begeistern, aber ein paar Dinge sind ausgesprochen positiv aufgefallen und hervorzuheben. Sehr freundlicher, aufmerksamer, Service. Gute, passende, Weinbegleitung zu einem angemessenem Preis. Wenn ,Trüffel`draufsteht ist auch (reichlich) Trüffel drin. Gute, teils sebstgemachte Pasta. Rinderfilet hervorragend medium. Sehr hundefreundlich (in HH ganz besonders wichtig...). Wir kommen wieder.
