The ambience is great. The food was mostly good (even if the Parmesan nest was unfortunately soggy last time). But the service just doesn't match the rest, especially the prices. Would-be funny sayings "Hello ladies", no asking if it tastes good, if you want a dessert. No farewell. Simply flippant, unloving and not appropriate for the restaurant. Personally, the service makes a lot of difference for me, in this case unfortunately a reason not to come here again

We ate here today with 6 people. We absolutely cannot understand some of the negative reviews here. The service staff was super friendly, the food was really delicious and prepared with a lot of detail (everyone ate something different) and the atmosphere was also cozy. We all really enjoyed the meal and the evening here and will definitely be back.

He visitado este restaurante italiano varias veces, convenientemente ubicado cerca del centro comercial Alstertal. El interior es moderno y acogedor, por lo que es un ambiente agradable para comer. El aparcamiento también es fácil, con un aparcamiento adyacente que proporciona fácil acceso. El servicio en esta ocasión fue decepcionante. Nuestro servidor se comportó más como un camarero casual que un camarero profesional demasiado familiar y algo indiferente, lo que restó valor a la experiencia general. Sin embargo, quiero hacer hincapié en que esto parece haber sido un problema individual, ya que el servicio ha sido generalmente mucho mejor en visitas anteriores. Comida - en cuanto a la comida, hubo puntos culminantes. El tártaro de atún era excelente fresco, sabroso y generosamente dividido, fácilmente para que dos lo compartan. El plato de gambas estaba decente, pero la masa era demasiado espesa, lo que le quitaba el delicado sabor del marisco. Para la alimentación, tanto el Hamburger Pannfisch como el filete Zander se cocinaron muy bien, mostrando grandes sabores e ingredientes de calidad. La selección de vinos también fue impresionante, siendo el vino blanco Fritz Haag una opción sobresaliente. En general, fue una buena experiencia gastronómica que podría haber sido incluso mejor con un servicio más pulido. Dado que esto era probablemente un problema puntual, todavía recomendaría Del Favero por su excelente comida y ambiente acogedor.

I’ve visited this Italian restaurant multiple times, conveniently located near the Alstertal Shopping Mall. The interior is modern and inviting, creating a pleasant dining atmosphere. Parking is also hassle-free, with an adjacent parking lot providing easy access. On this particular visit, however, the service was disappointing. Our waiter was overly familiar, inattentive, and lacked professionalism, acting more like a casual bartender than a trained server. His approach felt indifferent, making the experience less enjoyable. That said, I want to stress that this seems to have been an individual issue, as service has been much better on previous visits. The food, however, was a highlight. The tuna tartare was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned, easily enough for two to share. The prawn dish was decent, but the batter was too thick, which overpowered the delicate seafood. For mains, both the Hamburger Pannfisch and the Zander fillet were cooked very well, showcasing great flavors and high-quality ingredients. The wine selection was also impressive, with the Fritz Haag white wine being an excellent choice. Overall, this was a good dining experience that could have been even better with more attentive and professional service. Given that this was likely a one-time issue, I would still recommend Del Favero for its great food and welcoming atmosphere.

The truffle pasta was totally over salted 3 years ago and recently, when we wanted to give Del Favero another chance, it was still way too salty. Our waiter (dark hair, dark beard) made us feel like we hadn't ordered enough. The desserts were prepared with more love a few years ago. There will probably be savings there. All in all disappointing. We wouldn't come back, especially since you can get better food in other restaurants in the same price range.

We've been back to Favero for a second try for a while now, but unfortunately we were more than disappointed again. The best and freshest thing about the dishes were the side salads. The food was really bad and there's no mention of the price/performance ratio. For 5 people for bad food and mediocre service 380€ is already steep. We can warn rather than recommend.

10.0€ water bottle 0.75 7.40€ Cola 0.4 are really extortionate prices that shouldn't exist in Germany. The food was mediocre I will never visit this store again.

We ate à la carte in the evening and unfortunately two people had bad luck, probably with the creme brûlée (gastrointestinal), which only we ate. The service was very nice and the menu was extensive. I deducted a star from the ambience because of the dim lighting.

What kind of restaurant do you want to be? Italian, Japanese, steakhouse, German cuisine? What is the DNA of Del Favero? Fine dining? I found the service to be completely unacceptable. On first-name terms, putting inappropriate sales pressure on customers, comments that are too personal. Do we know each other? The food is okay, although in my opinion the prices are no longer appropriate. I also had the impression that a lot of the food could have been bought ready-made. Unfortunately, they are becoming more and more common in the middle segment. It's a shame, the performance of the "old" Del Favero was better on all levels, and the successful ambience can't hide that. I don't need this again. The preceding text represents my personal opinion.

Prices are just outrageous! What a shame: the quality, service and ambience at Del Favero are actually good. But charging €7.40 for 0.4 cola or €20 for the cheapest pasta dish (with tomato sauce and mozzarella)? No, I'm no longer keeping up with the recent price increase. A regular until recently, in the future you will only see me at lunch at Del Favero. What is too much is simply too much!

Moin, leider ist neuerdings das Preis-Lleistungsverhältnis aus dem Ruder gelaufen. Für Hamburger Klassiker, zB. Rinderroulade, Königsberger Klopse sind die Preise um rd 25% !!!!! worden. In welchen Sphären bewegen wir uns dann zukünftig??? Zur Zeit aus Preisgründen nicht zu empfehlen.

Wir waren am 25.12.24 um 18 Uhr im Del Favero, leider mußten wir feststellen, das das Personal komplett überfordert war. Es kamen ca. 60 Gäste gleichzeitig, so das das Personal nicht wusste wer wo sitzen sollte. Als wir endlich einen angemessenen Platz bekamen, mußten wir beim auswählen der Gerichte feststellen, das das Del Favero die Preise deutlich erhöht hat. Die Speisen stehen leider nicht mehr im Verhältnis zu den Preisen. Wir würden uns freuen, wenn wieder ein bisschen mehr Wärme und Menschlichkeit und vernünftige Preise in das Restaurant zurück kämen. Die Qualität der Speisen sind nach wie vor gut und das Ambiente paßt in die Gegend der Vororte.

First of all: we were there on December 23rd, 2024, a normal Monday before Christmas and had specifically checked the homepage to see whether there was a lunch menu. There were also cards with lunch laid out on the tables. The service was very attentive and we ordered drinks. When I asked what there was for lunch, the answer was that there was no lunch before Christmas, only a la carte. That was a rip-off for us. Take the drinks quickly, because then the guest won't leave again. It was exactly the same at both tables next to us and the guests also felt... The food was good (heaven and earth) and the service was good too. Actually, the restaurant doesn't need to try to generate additional sales in this way. Then you should point this out, but don't wait until the guest orders the drinks and then say, oh, by the way, there's no lunch today because it's before Christmas... Very badly done!

Unfortunately, the usual standard of quality of the food is no longer available. Offer of vegetarian dishes is very manageable. However, we only ate here sporadically. Maybe we were just unlucky. The service staff is very nice and professional. The ambience is appropriate for Alstertal standards and there is little comparable in the immediate vicinity.

This is a nice restaurant, claiming to be Italian, but it really features a wide range of styles, from traditional Hamburg fare, to sushi rolls, to Italian. The staff ranges from super friendly to less service-minded (no eye contact). In general, everyone was nice. There were many kids in the restaurant and since the menu is so extensive it is easy to find something that kids of all ages like. The food is very good, we a great variety of dishes. Given the season we tried the duck and the green cabbage with sausage and pork. The appetizers were soup. All of our food was very good, and we will consider coming back.

Das war jetzt wirklich das letzte Mal! Die Küche macht einen guten Job , aber der Service ist unterirdisch . Man wird gedrängt mehr zu bestellen als man möchte, die Teller werden auf den Tisch „ geschmissen“ der Wein locker am Glas vorbei gegossen und zumindest der Hauptkellner ( dunkle Haare , Bart) ist einfach nur ein arroganter …,! Das war auch nicht zum ersten Mal so bei mir darf jeder ein bis zweimal einen schlechten Tag haben! Aber nachdem er uns früher schon beim Trinkgeld geben zurecht gewiesen hat .. Zitat: Das reicht dann gerade für die Küche ( leider ist mir die passende Antwort: Ja die haben es sich auch verdient , damals nicht eingefallen)ist es dann jetzt auch mal gut! Schade das Ambiente ist sehr gemütlich und es schmeckt auch immer gut .

Irgendwie ist das alles sehr schade… früher war das für uns ein tolles Restaurant mit klarer Linie. Jetzt gibt es alles, von Burger über Königsberger Klopse und Pannfisch, Sushi, Ente mit Rotkohl. Italienisches Essen ist eindeutig in der Minderheit. Vielleicht sollte man den Namen ändern, weil viele Menschen mit anderen Erwartungen in dieses Restaurant gehen. Aber egal, der Laden ist mitunter proppevoll, so dass das Konzept aufzugehen scheint (eventuell auch wegen kaum vorhandener Alternativen im Nordosten von Hamburg?) Richtig unterhalten kann man sich nicht mehr, da die Geräuschkulisse viel zu hoch ist. Der Service ist zu Beginn so aufmerksam, dass es schon fast störend ist. Man hat den Eindruck, hier wird gedrängelt, um möglicherweise den Tisch nochmals besetzen zu können. Die Aufmerksamkeit lässt zum Ende dann jedoch bis zur Nachlässigkeit sehr stark nach. Das Essen, in diesem Fall eine Suppe und Fisch, hat gut geschmeckt, die Nachspeise (eine Mousse) erinnerte mich stark an Convenience. Alles in allem deswegen nur so lala.

Burrata with melted tomatoes and Parma ham turned out to be a barely frozen dish. 2 half slices of frozen ham, icy burrata and two icy peeled tomatoes, covered by a large three-leaf floppy basil leaf and a hint of rocket. I tried it but didn't eat it - I was allowed to pay. It was my first visit to this restaurant and probably my last. Too bad

This was our second time at this restaurant. The staff is top – friendly, cheerful and professional. A special thank you goes to the chef. We would also like to thank the management.

It's a shame that the food can't keep up with the look and ambience. Fruit flies at the table, beef tartare pureed in the blender, side dishes that taste like they were in the refrigerator. We won't be coming back. Too bad

I spontaneously went to Del FAVERO for lunch with my 10-year-old nephew - the board with a free choice of pasta sauces lured us in. The friendliness and humor of the staff were wonderful! The champagne bottle was even provided for the souvenir photo - just as a joke - very funny! The food was delicious, special requests were fulfilled immediately and the portion of crème brûlée was impressively large! We'll be back!!

There used to be an Italian restaurant in this location, but now the new owner offers a wide range of products ranging from pasta to sushi to German specialties. The prices are quite high, so I think the lunch menu is worthwhile.

I spontaneously ate there today with my wife and I have to say that the sushi there is very, very tasty and simply world class. I have rarely eaten such good sushi as I did there. The service was quick and friendly. The ambience was also very nice, just a little too dark for me personally, but everyone can feel that differently. Of course the table was clean and set very stylishly. Thanks for the great review, we'll be happy to come back.

We just had a very unpleasant experience in this restaurant, which unfortunately ruined our entire evening. In the middle of the main course, as I was about to pick up my water glass, the bottom of the glass broke off and all the water spilled over my pants. My clothes were completely soaked, even down to my underwear. Although this was a completely unexpected and extremely unpleasant situation, there was no apology or accommodation from the restaurant. I was forced to end the evening early and go home without being able to finish my main course. To make matters worse, we were then presented with the entire bill without even an attempt at compensation. Such an incident has never happened to me in all my restaurant visits and the lack of response from the staff left us very disappointed. Unfortunately, after this experience, we cannot recommend this restaurant and will definitely not be returning.

Food was good. Unfortunately I still can't leave a good review. My girlfriend (Korean) and I (Chinese) were spoken to several times in an unpleasant manner in Japanese by a younger waiter with a beard. The interaction seemed condescending and racist. That's why we won't be coming back in the future.

Lunch is totally ok for working people. The portions are manageable, but of quite good quality. The ambience is inviting and in summer the cozy terrace is inviting. If it weren't for the service, I would give it at least 4 stars. 3.5 is not possible, so I rate it at 3, because anyone can do magic with food, service is more important. You should also accept food vouchers at lunchtime and not be abruptly surprised by the waiter saying, "Just spend it somewhere else" just because there is no system for the difference or enough computing power in the upper room. Other times you were simply left standing because you weren't quite sure what you wanted and the waiter rushed to the other table without saying a word. At that time, working people there certainly didn't make a bad living, so I expect appropriate service.

Das Ambiente im Del Favero ist wirklich sehr schön. Waren mit 6 Personen dort und alle hatten eine geeignete Speise für sich gefunden. Die Auswahl der Gerichte auf der Karte ist etwas zu groß , aber alles war sehr lecker (vor allem die Bratkartoffeln). Netter und flinker Service. Die Preise sind, wie mittlerweile überall, nicht niedrig. Aber wenn das oben genannte alles stimmt….dann ist es auch in Ordnung.

Well, you should have read the reviews before being dazzled by the beautiful ambience and giving the restaurant a chance. It started with us standing in front of the “Wait to be seated” sign and being seen but ignored by the waiter who was chatting at a table. His friendly colleague then showed us to a table. In addition, there was the previously mentioned waiter, who asked us about our choice of drinks. We asked for a semi-dry Pinot Blanc or Pinot Gris, to which he replied that it was only available in sweet and insisted on it even when there was an objection to this. This was fine with us and the wine was brought. After a first sip we were sure that this wine was dry and the producer's website confirmed this suspicion. Due to the nature of the waiter, we didn't feel like having any further conversations about this... The water was poured in so that a lot of it ran over the menus, my plate was handed to me with the words “Careful, it’s hot!”, the mashed potatoes were passed between my friend and me with the words: “This is for you.” Both of them, they have to deal with that now... oh and we didn't get any bread in the front either. However, the food was very good - big compliments to the kitchen. Unfortunately, the service is THE flagship and we have never experienced anything like last night, especially not in higher-priced restaurants...

In the evening, however, it was extremely expensive! Unfortunately it was very loud in the restaurant due to the background music. I can't understand why loud music is always played. We've been coming to this restaurant for several years now, but now it's really closing time. While everything was fine in the old days when the parents still ran the restaurant, the quality of the food, the service and the price-performance ratio have declined significantly for some time. I don't want to go into detail about the choice of food of a supposed Italian or the suspicion of convenience cuisine. After the third attempt to give the new generation another chance, it's really over now. The service was surprising again, with pressure to at least order water, even though we weren't even sitting down yet. When we asked for a side dish change for the veal liver, the dish without a side dish was charged at full price and the tagliatelle as a truffle pasta main course was charged for an additional €25. That's cheeky! The quality of the food is also poor. The liver wasn't tender, there was a strange ready-made sauce underneath, the expensive noodles had little taste and seemed like a ready-made meal. The burger was dry with a gravy! served. A pity!

Seit einigen Jahren kommen wir immer wieder in dieses Lokal aber jetzt ist wirklich Feierabend. Während zu den alten Zeiten, als die Eltern das Restaurant noch führten, alles stimmig war, hat seit geraumer Zeit die Qualität der Speisen, der Service und das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis stark nachgelassen. Über die Speisenauswahl eines vermeintlichen Italieners möchte ich gar nicht näher eingehen und auch nicht auf den Verdacht der Convenience Küche. Nach dem nun dritten Versuch der neuen Generation noch einmal eine Chance zu geben, ist jetzt wirklich Schluss. Der Service gestern wieder überrumpelnd, mit Druck auf wenigstens schon mal Wasser zu bestellen, obwohl wir noch nicht einmal saßen. Auf Bitte bei der Kalbsleber einen Beilagenwechsel zu bekommen, wurde das Gericht ohne Beilage zum vollen Preis und die Tagliatelle als Trüffelpasta Hauptgericht mit nochmal 25€ abgerechnet. Das ist frech! Die Qualität der Speisen mangelhaft dazu. Die Leber nicht zart, komische Fertigsoße drunter, die teuren Nudeln geschmacksarm und Anmutung von Fertiggericht. Der Burger trocken wurde mit einer Bratensoße ! serviert. Schade!

The food is always very tasty, and the Vitello Tonnato as a starter is recommended. The schnitzel, the roast beef or the Chateaubriand - all always excellent. The wine list also has one or two insider tips. You can settle down here very well. Also with 🐶.

A second attempt - on the first visit I was bothered by the busyness and rush of the service staff - you don't sit down yet, you are already asked for drinks - the food you ordered is brought while you still want to try the bread and dip. I specifically asked for some tap water with the wine and asked for a slice of lemon with the fish, which was a given for me. Tap water and lemon were presented to me on the bill for a total of €3.80. It had not previously been said that neither was free. My second and last visit there.

I was here during lunchtime and found the lunch menu very appealing. You can sit here in the beautiful outdoor area or, of course, inside. The ambience is very nice and tasteful. I had roast beef and there was cucumber salad and fried potatoes. The portion was large and everything was very tasty. The restaurant is suitable for groups, but also for a romantic meal.

It's a very nice and chic restaurant. The service was extremely good. We were served quickly and friendly. The waitress was very personable. Today we only had a wine spritzer and 2 cappuccinos, we didn't eat anything. But we'll definitely make up for it ❤️ the wine spritzer cost 5.60 euros, I don't think it's expensive for a good restaurant.

My Del Favero ♥️ Today I have to make a declaration of love to my favorite restaurant, the Del Favero in Poppenbüttel 😃 We have been guests there very often in the last few years and the visit has always been very good, but now the team has once again won a simple “very good ” increased to an “extraordinary 1+ with asterisk”. Here service and kitchen work together like Swiss clockwork. To the kitchen: Del Favero can do what a restaurant tester would consider impossible when looking at the menu: crossover around the world. And that's why I love Del Favero so much. Grandma can order the classic Wiener Schnitzel, beef roulade, Königsberger Klopse or Hamburger Pannfisch here, while I enjoy the best sushi in Poppenbüttel (or all of Hamburg 😅?!) here. I recommend the Chef Roll with fresh truffle 🥰 My favorite dishes, however, are the pumpkin gnocchi and the truffle tagliatelle in a parmesan nest. No matter what you order here, it's always a taste explosion 😃 We also like to come at lunchtime because the dishes aren't huge and are offered at a moderate price. I can really recommend everything, from the burger to the mustard party to the lukewarm chocolate cake ♥️ About the ambience: We were in the DF once before the renovation and didn't see any need for action 😅 But the investment was more than worth it. No matter which table you sit at, you always feel comfortable. It is modern and yet cozy. I love the lavish decorations at Christmas and Easter. The furnishings are very exclusive and high quality. Evil tongues say that Del Favero is our second living room, but that's how we feel here too 🥰 The terrace in summer with the large olive trees is fantastic and the radiant heaters also make an evening visit possible when the temperatures are cooler. About the service: I have never felt as welcome as I did at Del Favero. Here you can notice that only trained specialists are on duty who still know the etiquette and ensure that the DF always looks like it has been peeled. From the trainees to the experienced service staff, to the good soul behind the counter, to the restaurant management and the cleaning staff who ensure cleanliness in the DF early in the morning... without exception, there are only very good, committed and friendly employees at Del Favero react very professionally to every situation. We all became very fond of each other. We had a friendly waiter and had a very good time and the food was excellent. The open red wine is recommended. Priced in the upper midrange, but it's absolutely worth it.

Junge, Junge, trotz meines biblischen Alters, war das wieder eine der Abende, wo man sich wünscht, trotzdem mehr Erfahrung gesammelt zu haben. Die Weinauswahl der jungen Kellnerin zu überlassen, in der Hoffnung einen guten und nicht den teuersten Wein auf der Karte empfohlen zu bekommen, den Preis hinzunuscheln , endete recht heftig. Den Umständen geschuldet, nicht im entferntesten damit gerechnet, da so etwas noch nie erlebt. 358,- EURO, finde ich, ist für einen mittelmäßigen Rotwein, Abzocke vom Feinsten. Wenn mir jetzt ein Gastronom die Ohren vollheult, man verdiene nicht genügt... Leute, Euch geht´s anscheinend viel zu gut. Na ja, der Abend ist ruiniert. Danke, Del Favero Team, dass Ihr mich daran erinnert habt, obwohl Poppenbütteller, warum ich dieses Restaurant sonst nie aufsuche. Das Blockhaus war an diesem Abend voll und dies nur eine Notlösung. Mein Bedarf ist für die nächsten 300 Jahre gedeckt.

I really liked the environment, the excellent service and the very friendly waiters. As for the food, I would have expected something better. Too many elaborate dishes. I took the breaded veal. The breading left a little to be desired. Furthermore, for an Italian restaurant it offers a large quantity of typically German dishes. As far as desserts are concerned, there is no possibility of having a slice of a simple normal cake (like tart or grandmother's cake or Sacher) to my request for a piece of parmesan to close the meal (in Italy it is a normal thing) I they said they didn't have it. Espresso and all coffees are brought without sugar. They just don't have it! A little disappointed as an Italian. A point of honor goes to the cucumber salad and the Bratkartoffeln. The Ipanema Cocktail without Alcohol is also perfect. If I were to return at this point I would take the sole which certainly would not have disappointed me. And I'll bring sugar from home 😂.

Unfortunately, the music is a little too loud and listening to rap songs may not be for everyone. The food and service was very good as always.

Service staff quite unaccommodating. Charged 3.50 euros for a second helping of sauce on a dish that already cost 18.90 for lunch... Outrageous... The ambience is good.

We went to Del Favero for a birthday dinner on a Monday last week. At the beginning we were warmly welcomed and shown to a beautifully set table. The service person, a man, was very nice and always very attentive. Before the meal there was a cremon, then the starter. We had warm goat cheese on a bed of lettuce, as well as vitello tartuffo. Both were very tasty and the portions were enough to go home with. Then the main course was tagliatelle in a cheese and white wine sauce, as well as pumpkin gnocci with game goulash. “Something sweet is always possible afterwards,” the waitress joked and we agreed. Warm chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream and crème brulee... it was good to die for. Rarely have we eaten as well and felt as comfortable as we did that evening. We will definitely eat here more often. Thank you for everything and best regards!!!

Wir waren das erste Mal im Del Favero. Schönes Ambiente, freundliches Personal, die Musik leider viel zu laut. Allerdings ist für uns nicht nachvollziehbar, warum es sich hier um ein italienisches Restaurant handeln soll. Die Speisenkarte sagt etwas anderes, querbeet durch die internationale Küche. Der Burger vom Angusrind war niemals frisch zubereitet. Ich habe den Burger medium bestellt, es kam ein völlig durchgebratener Burger, trocken und nur lauwarm. Der Beilagensalat war teilweise schon welk und von Röstzwiebeln überlagert, die Pfeffersauce viel zu flüssig. Es war eine Geburtstagseinladung, also habe ich mir jegliche Kritik im Restaurant erspart.

Wir waren mit 6 Personen im Del Favero zum Abendessen. Es wurde auch eine Vorspeise "Lachs & Avocado" bestellt. Diese wurde von vier Erwachsenen suwohl im Geruch als auch im Geschmack als verdorben eingestuft. Die beiden Kinder haben wir natürlich nicht testen lassen. Der Bediener nahm diesen Teller nach meiner Rückmeldung kommentarlos zurück. Aber die verdorbene Vorspeise stand trotzdem auf der Rechnung. Das habe ich aber (wegen wenig Licht im Lokal?) nicht bemerkt. Am nächsten Tag habe ich per email um Rückzahlung der 14,80€ gebeten. Ergebis: KEINE Antwort.

As always, everything was prepared very, very tasty. Ambiance makes you feel comfortable. Staff very attentive.

I can highly recommend it. All around a great evening with good food and good service. We didn't wait long for our food and the atmosphere was great. We'll be back and looking forward to it.

I've been to the restaurant several times now. Two years ago it was great, when I ordered a carpaccio in the summer of 23 and noticed that the fillet smelled bad and was even green, I reported this to the waiter. There was no apology nor was it taken off the bill. After months, I gave it another chance. The meat smelled bad again! Fried potatoes are old and fried in old fat combined with hard bacon. After eating the truffle pasta, you had a strange film in the bunch (like flour). Cucumber salad totally watery and mushy. The meat is spoiled!! It smells bad and is discolored! The prices have risen so incredibly. Which is really a disgrace! I will NEVER regret spending money there repeatedly. The only positive thing about this shop is the ambience, although the toilet had seen better days and smelled pleasant back then. UNFORTUNATELY VERY VERY DEFAULT. I'd rather eat a frozen pizza at home instead of spending hundreds of euros on ROTTEN meat. This was definitely the last visit for me and my family, we will avoid the restaurant and if we do end up on the corner, we prefer the meat next door at “Block House”. PS I wish the waiters could be more attentive but after everything else that's probably the least of the problems
