Were there for the company Christmas party, the food was delicious, although not Italian (because I didn't order it)

The cocktails are good. Unfortunately, in my opinion, cheap ingredients were used on my pizza. Tasteless green and blackened olives and mozzarella (which I had to pay extra for), a shame. In my opinion, price/performance is not right.

If I ran a restaurant, I would have preferred to poach the waiter. ;-) Such great service even though it was packed. Rarely experienced

The pizza of the month (Feige Goat) is one of the better pizzas I've had in Germany so far - really big and very tasty if you like thin dough. The service is friendly and attentive. The location is nice to look at, but it quickly becomes too loud. In addition, the prices are quite high.

I haven't been to Eisenstein in a long time. It's just out of my way. We were at a film premiere in the Zeise cinemas. It just made sense. The pizza is still outstanding. The service was friendly, relaxed and very attentive. The rooms are wonderful. A straight A.

Ordered entrecôte medium for 37€ and I got a well-fried shoe sole! After complaining, the chef told me that this was medium rare! After the announced 5 minutes of new steak, the food can be served 20 minutes later and instead of medium rare it was now English! My companion had already finished eating. I can't recommend this restaurant! An espresso was available upon request as compensation, a free dessert was not possible!!!

It’s my first time travelling to Hamburg and I stumbled across Eisenstein was greeted by Linus Who provided us with an excellent service!.

We recently celebrated our wedding at Eisenstein (100 guests) and couldn't have imagined a better location! We are absolutely thrilled! The team did an excellent job throughout the evening, extremely professionally, quickly and always very cordially. The team also actively contributed to the good atmosphere. Without exception, all of our guests were thrilled by the ambience, the food, the drinks and the team! All the organization in advance was absolutely uncomplicated due to the owner's obviously great experience and professionalism with such events. We always knew our wedding was in very good hands, which took a lot of stress away from us. We would get married here again in a heartbeat and would like to thank Eisenstein for an unforgettable celebration!

We used to love coming here and the atmosphere is still very nice. The service is also good. However, the food really leaves a lot to be desired. A very expensive pizza that tastes like a rather bad, unseasoned frozen pizza. Unfortunately, the hot chocolate was also consistently bad and the fish and meat weren't exciting either. Only the truffle pasta was OK. Below average food at way too high prices. You pay for the location.

The pizza has been good for years. This is also the reason why I go to Eisenstein. I also always like the industrial architecture. Unfortunately, the service has deteriorated significantly compared to before. We waited a long time before we even received the card. We were served very nicely, but there was a lack of attention. At this price level I would expect more.

For decades one of my favorite places. Unbeatable location, tasty pizza and tons of bars to continue with after dinner.

Eisenstein has been delivering top pizza quality since 1988. Over the years, the spot has developed into a “pizza benchmark” for Northern Europe and has successfully defied all crises. We have known the store very well for over 20 years. The stone oven has been constantly optimized and adjusted better over the years. Michael and his top gastro team have everything perfectly under control. The service staff are very friendly and accommodating. Fortunately, the pizza classics are still on the menu - like the “Feuer und Flamme”, which has accompanied and thrilled us for years. They are also available vegetarian upon request. There are even customers who fly in from Frankfurt every now and then just for the “Stupid Goat” pizza. And the ladies from Lake Constance enjoy the new pizza varieties here more often throughout the year. Half of Denmark also knows the shop. Hilsen fra Hamburg. The location impresses with its special industrial charm, paired with clear interior decoration and style. The former ship parts factory is impressive. The location is ideal for meeting friends, business brunch or dinner or meals with a larger number of participants. And bingo, the espresso macchiato was delicious with perfect crema. Try the spicy pizza oil first. Can be pretty spicy. Michael, we look forward to more new pizza variations and your classics. Keep it going.

Haben sehr lange auf das Essen warten müssen, obwohl der Laden nicht einmal voll war. Bei der Pizza handelt es sich NICHT um eine neapolitanische Pizza, bei so einem dünnem Boden würde ich dem Inhaber eher empfehlen Flammkuchen zu servieren. Fazit: Es gibt in Hamburg bessere Pizzarestaurants bei denen das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis sogar stimmt.

My family and I visited the restaurant and were very satisfied with the food, atmosphere and service. Unfortunately, there was an awkward moment when paying when the waitress pointed out that the tip was not included in the bill and emphasized that they rely on tips. I found that to be unprofessional. I hope this fits better!

A great special restaurant with an industrial flair. The service is incredibly attentive and friendly and in my opinion the truffle pasta is the best in all of Hamburg!

Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Das Ambiente wirkte auf mich sehr ansprechend. . Wir bestellten ein Risotto mit Ossobuco.Ein so köstliches Risotto habe ich selbst in Italien noch nicht gegessen. Dieses Gericht ist für mich immer das Testgericht, wenn ich wissen möchte, ob man in der Küche zu kochen versteht. Essen kann glücklich machen- an diesem Abend war ich es! 👍

The food was really delicious, unfortunately we had to wait a long time for our main course. In addition, we could no longer order an appetizer. Even simple bread was no longer available. The service was a bit overwhelmed due to absences due to illness. Nevertheless, we had a lovely evening with a delicious aperitif. The location is unique and gives it a certain charm.

Exceptional pizzas, but also at exceptionally (high) prices. The floor was as hard as a board and the surface tasted good. But I've had better. The service was super attentive and the ambience is something special.

We were there for dinner with my friend, very nice restaurant and the food was tasty, but the service was actually very slow. The waitress was really nice and friendly and apologized to us several times, but we waited a long time for our main courses and dessert afterwards. And the store wasn't that full...

Tye quality of the food was exceptional. Simply elegant truffle, parmesan pasta. The service was sleek and professional yet friendly and relaxed. A truly classy place that I felt was perfect for a birthday meal. Will definitely visit again when I return to Hamburg

The food was ok, there was a salad first, but it must have been sitting for a while because it had a lot of brown spots. So far the taste of the food was absolutely ok. But we couldn't understand the quite high prices (20 € for a normal pizza). The ambience is great. The location is very cool and you can see how the pizzas are prepared live. Unfortunately, it's very loud and lively when it's full, as the hall amplifies the noise. What wasn't good at all was the service. The main courses took almost an hour to arrive. People around us were already asking if we had forgotten them, so it was a general problem. We thought OK, maybe we're understaffed and we'll do everything fresh, you can understand, there's no need to make a big deal about it. The longer you sat there, the more you noticed the hustle and bustle of the staff. When I made my reservation, I mentioned that it was my companion's birthday and whether they could "maybe come up with something nice" - that was completely ignored and when I mentioned that it would have been nice if they had at least got a small champagne, the service lady got really snotty. No sorry. You would be understaffed and you wouldn't be able to come up with anything, so you would have to give more guidance. I would say that every other restaurant (sometimes with a much better pricing policy and standards that are just as high as this restaurant suggests) has achieved more than was the case here. When I apparently didn't tip enough, I was just as snidely asked again whether that was really the amount. When we went out, the lady from the service was visibly upset by my comments. That was the height and also the main reason why I cannot recommend this restaurant. Food good, shop chic, prices incomprehensible and staff (at least the lady) not good. A pity...

There were four of us there. The pizzas tasted good, the prices were quite high. We wanted to pay separately, the waiter said we couldn't pay separately. We all thought it was a joke……then the bill came, for 125, and the waiter said that we could divide the amount by four ourselves. In other restaurants you can pay separately. And it's not okay to let one person pay the bill. And after visiting the restaurant you have to split the bill yourself. Sorry, but you can't be told how to pay the bill.

Pizza ok but nothing special for 20€. The service was inattentive even though the restaurant was not full.

We were at Eisenstein on Friday with four people. Food was ok, but too expensive. Our service was brisk, cheeky but ok. From the beginning she put a lot of pressure on, as the second shift for the table would arrive at 8 p.m. The hammer came when paying. We rounded up the bill from 164 euros to 170 euros. Then the question "was the service that bad?"...175 euros were demanded. I have never experienced such outrageous behavior. Your comment "...there are only three of us here...we're working like crazy here..." doesn't interest me. NEVER AGAIN EISENSTEIN!!!

Everything is just right and anyone who writes here only likes the pizza must have had a sore throat or something similar. We were there twice and I couldn't find anything wrong. We recommend. Best mood. Thank you!!

We took a short trip to Hamburg and had dinner here. The pizzas are super tasty. Possibly one of the best pizzas in town. We'll definitely come back.

We went to the Eisenstein restaurant on the recommendation of a friend because it is said to have the best pizza in Germany. As is well known, taste can be debated. Everyone has to decide for themselves whether it is the best pizza in Germany or not. There were three of us who ate different pizzas and we all loved them. The service was very nice, attentive and accommodating to us. The Eisenstein is in a former ship's screw factory, which is a very special atmosphere. You have to dig a little deeper into your pockets at Eisenstein than at many other pizzerias. However, we all agreed that the dishes we chose were worth every penny.

Sehr lecker dort gegessen. Zu empfehlen sind die Schweinebäckchen :) Die Monats Pizza war okay. Hervorheben möchte ich den Service der SEHR GUT war. Auch die Weinempfehlung passte gut.

Netter Service, waren in einer größeren Gruppe da, Da es eine alte Werkhalle ist, war es auch sehr laut, muss man mögen.

Wir waren im Rahmen einer Weihnachtsfeier hier. Das Essen war schmackhaft und viel. Die Vorspeisen waren schön angerichtet und abwechslungsreich. Den Nachtisch konnte ich in Ermangelung an Raum im Bauch nicht probieren. Meine Kollegen schienen sehr zufrieden. Die Auswahl an Getränken war gut und wir wurden sehr nett versorgt. Es hat mehr als nur gefallen

Love the place. Super nice staff, everyone is friendly, helpful and just very very nice. The food was excellent, we had a starter and pizza, really good! The wine recommendation was also excellent… I can’t comment on the main dishes besides pizza. Total damage 85euro for two, including water, beer, wine, starters and two pizza. Great value for money imho.

Leckeres Essen im schönen außergewöhnlichen Ambiente. Bei unserem Besuch fehlte ein Großteil der Zutaten für die Gerichte, so dass nur ein Salat und die Pizzen übrig geblieben sind.

Meine Pizza war einen Tick zu dunkel, aber insgesamt sehr lecker und groß. Das Essen meiner Begleiter (Steak) war top. Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich, aufmerksam. Das Restaurant ist gemütlich mit einem urban-stil. Tische könnten teilweise etwas weiter auseinander stehen. Insgesamt super Restaurant.

Leider hat der wirklich schlechte Service den guten Eindruck und dem wirklich leckerem essen überwogen. Die gute Dame aus dem Service hat mit ihrer art stress verbreitet und hat am ende sogar das gewollte Trinkgeld abgelehnt. Das war wirklich respektlos und nicht im Sinne eines guten Services würdig. Eine Wiederholung wird es von uns nicht mehr geben.

Hätte gerne das Essen bewertet, aber trotz Öffnungszeiten und 8 Anrufen innerhalb von einer Stunde niemanden ans Telefon bekommen. Auf der Website werden zwei Nummern angezeigt, eine davon funktioniert nicht, bei der anderen geht keiner ran. Nach ner Stunde Anfahrt: Geschlossene Gesellschaft. Hätte man ja auf Google oder Website einpflegen können, aber man ist nicht drauf angewiesen. Schade.

das essen ist super! der service war etwas enttäuschend. wir haben ein getränk erst gar nicht und dann das falsche bekommen. wasser war auch nicht still wie bestellt und der aperol war auch nicht so lecker. das essen dafür schon! sehr leckere pizza und das ambiente ist auch schön, nur ein bisschen kalt dort. :)

Die beste Pizza nördlich der Alpen, und das kontinuierlich seit 1988. Netter, kompetenter Service, gute Weine, angemessene Preise. Nach wie vor eine zuverlässig gute Adresse. Wir kommen sicher wieder.

Ambiente ist ganz nett, Die Serviceleitung sehr gut aber… mit 4 Personen dort gewesen 3 x Pizza, eine Vorspeise,4 grosse Alsterwasser und ein Aperitif für über 100 € ist dann doch sehr happig…Pizza war gut, Vorspeise nicht.

Restaurant in einer alten Industriefabrik, schick und komfortabel. Die Pizza war köstlich. Unter den Geschmacksrichtungen, die wir bestellt haben, (Blödel Ziege, Feuer & Flamme und Rucola Parma). Rucula Parma ist unglaublich lecker! Die Salat auch. Es dauerte eine Weile, bis die Pizzen kamen.. aber es hat sich gelohnt. Die Kellner sind aufmerksam.

Atmosphere I would give a 6*. Service was prompt with a smile. We had a wonderful pizza - actually three different ones- and a truffle pasta that was prepared to perfection. It’s a gem and you should try it if you are in the area. Don’t miss the good food and the tasty cakes and to see good service.

Wir haben lange auf unser Essen gewartet, offensichtlich zu wenig Personal. Das finde ich nicht schlimm, das Ambiente ist ja schön. ABER, als wir einen Nachtisch bestellen wollten, sollten wir an einen anderen Tisch umziehen. Unser Tisch war nach 70 Minuten schon weiter vergeben... Sorry, das geht so nicht!

Immer noch und immer wieder klasse. Hier stimmt alles - Atmosphäre, Essen und Service. Allein die Preise für die Pizza sind vergleichsweise hoch.

Schon in jüngeren Jahren hatte ich ein Faible für schöne Locations und immer wenn es etwas Außergewöhnliches sein sollte, ging es ins Eisenstein in der ehemaligen Schiffschraubenfabrik Zeise. Mehr als 30 Jahre ist das nun her, als ich das letzte Mal hier war. Pizza gab es schon damals, auch für die damalige Zeit nicht alltägliche Varianten wie die Pizza mit Lachs und Crème fraîche, von der eine Kollegin immer noch Tage später schwärmte. Auch der „alte“ Pizzabäcker ist noch da, wie wir von unserem jungen Kellner erfahren haben. Und die Pizza schmeckt heute noch genauso, der Boden schön dünn und selbst mittig trotz des reichhaltigen Belages gut durchgebacken. Wir hatten die Pizza Toskana mit Salsiccia und Fenchel-Schalotten und die Pizza des Monats mit Kabanossi, Schafskäse und geschmorter Paprika. Die Abendkarte bietet desweiteren eine überschaubare Auswahl an mediterranen Speisen und wochentags von 12.00 bis 16.00 werden relativ günstige Mittagsgerichte angeboten. Wir waren an diesem Mittag die ersten Gäste, wenig später füllte sich der schöne Gastraum zusehends. Der junge Herr im Service agierte ausgesprochen freundlich, aufgeschlossen sowie sehr gastorientiert und war auch für einen kleinen Klönschnack zu haben. Die junge Dame wirkte dagegen sehr schroff und rustikal in der Ansprache. Sie bat andere Gäste sogar, sich die Speisekarten selbst zu holen, da sie anscheinend schon zu Dienstbeginn schwer überarbeitet war. Das wurde auch lang und breit kommuniziert, in der Zeit hätte sie die Karten locker selbst an den Tisch bringen können. Guter Service geht anders! Wir würden dennoch bei Gelegenheit wiederkommen, Personal kommt und geht heutzutage! Die Gesamtwertung bei TA von 3,5 ist anscheinend größtenteils auf nichtakzeptablen Service zurückzuführen. Vielleicht sollte man hier und da mal nachschulen. Nostalgisch angehauchte 4 Punkte!
