Wunderschöne Aussicht von der Terrasse der WASSERSCHLOSS Speicherstadt! Hier herrscht reges Treiben, da alle 5 bis 10 Minuten Ausflugsboote vorbeifahren. Ein perfekter Ort, um sich zurückzulehnen und den köstlichen hausgemachten Tee zu genießen. Absolut empfehlenswert, wenn Sie in Hamburg sind!

Wir wollten am Dienstag Mittag einen Kaffee dort trinken, aber leider hatte bis 15 Uhr das Restaurant geschlossen. Deshalb kann ich das leider nicht bewerten, aber das enthaltene Geschäft, ist ein Besuch wert. Schön eingerichtet und normale Preise. Wir haben verschiedene Teesorten gekauft. Wir kommen wieder 👍 Beim zweiten Besuch in Hamburg besuchten wir auch das dazugehörige Restaurant, welches eine große Auswahl an verschiedene Teesorten bietet. Diese waren auch geschmacklich lecker. Leider kann man beim Frügstück nur bei den bereits vorhandenen Speisen zusätzliche Wünsche bestellen. Wir wollten Rührei mit einer Scheibe Schwarzbrot bestellen, allerdings war dies nicht möglich, was wir sehr schade fanden.

Das Wasserschloss liegt mitten in der schönen Speicherstadt, und ein Besuch reicht sicher nicht, um alles zu entdecken. So haben wir „nur“ gut gegessen und getrunken und uns am Ambiente erfreut. Das angegliederte Teegeschäft ist auf jeden Fall einen extra Besuch wert. Die Portion unseres Gerichts war ziemlich „übersichtlich“, um es mit Loriot zu sagen, aber lecker und gut zubereitet, der Service war sehr gut. Da kommen wir gern mal wieder.

Wunderschöner Hintergrund für hervorragendes Essen

Großartiges Essen, nette Leute, herzliche Gastfreundschaft.

Das war unser erstes Abendessen in Hamburg. Das Restaurant liegt auf einer wunderschönen Insel mitten in einem Kanal, in der historischen Altstadt, die das größte Lagerhausviertel der Welt beherbergt und 2015 zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe erklärt wurde. Es war nur wenige Gehminuten von unserem Hotel entfernt und eines der schönsten und romantischsten Restaurants, die wir je besucht haben. Die Einrichtung mit antiken Holzbalken und traditionellen Backsteinwänden verleiht dem Restaurant ein warmes und klassisches Ambiente. Es gibt auch eine Außenterrasse, auf der man sein Essen genießen, ein Bier trinken und den Blick auf den Kanal schweifen lassen kann. Das Essen war köstlich; jedes Gericht war ein Genuss. Es war eine Mischung aus moderner europäischer Küche und Hamburger Spezialitäten. Wir waren sehr beeindruckt. Die Bedienung war freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Wirklich ein wunderschöner Ort in Hamburg. Das Wasserschloss mit der Speicherstadt rundherum hat eine ganz besondere Atmosphäre. Sehr spannend anzusehen und perfekt für Fotos. Nach einer Tour kann man hier auch wunderbar einen Kaffee genießen oder einen kurzen Lunch machen. Sollte man sich auf jeden Fall einmal anschauen.

Kurz vorm Besuch des Miniaturwunderlandes waren wir im Wasserschloss mit 6 Personen noch zum Kaffeetrinken. Ein wunderschönes Gebäude, innen und draußen (hinten). Wir haben das Gebäude dann auch später im Miniaturwunderland wiedergefunden und gleich ein Foto gemacht. Der Kuchen (vor allem der Käse-Mohn-Kuchen) war fantastisch. Das einzige, was nicht so stimmig war, war der Service, weil hoffnungslos überlastet. Man müsste schon arg lang warten. Aber sonst top!

Ein muss in der Speicherstadt. Die Lage ist ein Traum, wir hatten das Glück dass das Wetter gut war und wir einen Platz am Wasser hatten.

Es war eine gute Idee, hier her zu kommen.

Wir kommen hier zu jedem Hamburgaufenthalt her. Wenn es das Wetter erlaubt sitzen wir gern im "Hinterhof", mitten im Fleet und genießen die kleine Küche. Wir hatten ein Avocadobrot und das war delicat! Das Highlight hier: es gibt viele Tees aus dem Laden, frisch aufgebrüht zum Genießen. Wir kommen wieder!

Toller Ort für eine Auszeit während des Trubels einer Stadtbesichtigung. Etwas hochpreisig, aber man zahlt hier auch für das Ambiente. Am besten ist man bei Ebbe oder Flut hier, andernfalls wird man permanent von Barkassentouren umkreist.

Ich war sehr enttäuscht, die Damentoilette war schmutzig, die Terrasse ungepflegt. Es ist so eine tolle Lokation, aber Pflege und Sauberkeit kamen wohl zu kurz.

Große Auswahl an Tees, schöne Dekoration und eine herrliche Aussicht im oberen Stockwerk.

Essen war zwar lecker, und Bedienung war nett, aber sonst hat einiges nicht gut geklappt: Erst wurde ein Getränk vergessen. Dann haben wir einmal Brot nachbestellt, hieß es, wird gleich gebracht, kam dann ewig nicht, bei Nachfrage hieß es dann, leider wäre kein Brot mehr da. Und zum krönenden Abschluss wars dann so, dass wir noch eine kleine Portion Nudeln nachbestellen wollten, weil Junior doch noch mehr Hunger hatte, aber um 20 Uhr gabs nichts mehr zu essen, weil die Küche zu hatte. Ich würde nicht unbedingt noch mal hingehen. Der Teeladen unten ist toll, es riecht dort sehr gut, und man findet viele leckere Sachen!

Wir wollten heute hier Mittag Essen. Wir saßen auf der Terrasse. Es verging Minute um Minute. Es kam kein Service. Dann ging meine Frau zwei Mal in den Innenbereich und urgierte einen Service. Nach etwa 30 Minuten haben wir das Lokal ohne Service verlassen. Wir waren nicht die einzigen. Der beste Weg, um Gäste zu vertreiben.

Super umfangreiche Tee Auswahl uvm.!

Zu schöne Location dafür aber sehr arrogante und leblose Bedienung. Sie sehen aus als ob sie dich hassen wenn sie dich bedienen sollen. Und übrigens, Sprite mit Zitrone ist keine hausgemachte Limonade.

Das Restaurant ist ein sehr tolles. Das Essen und der Service sind ausgezeichnet. Ich finde die kleine Therese im Restaurant sehr toll zum Sitzen, weil man eine sehr schöne Aussicht auf die Speicherstadthäuser hat.

Das Frühstück war richtig gut! Allerdings haben wir 40 Minuten darauf warten müssen, obwohl wir die einzigen im Lokal waren. Auch für weitere Getränke und fürs Bezahlen mussten wir den Service extra aufsuchen, da keiner mehr zu unserem Tisch kam. Schade!

Sehr gemütlicher Ort um zwischendurch mal einzukehren. Spontan einen Tisch bekommen und gut gegessen. Preise für eine Stadt wie Hamburg angemessen.

Logistisch überfordert, Essen über eine Stunde nach der Bestellung. Mehrfache Nachfrage nötig. Nicht empfehlenswert!

Ich habe meinen Geburtstag im Wasserschloss gefeiert. Er war rundum gelungen, alle Gäste waren begeistert über das leckere, vielseitige Essen, den freundlichen Service und der coolen Location.

Wenn wir in Hamburg sind gehört ein Frühstück in der Speicherstadt einfach dazu. Bei schönem Wetter zwischen den Kanälen sitzen ☺️🍰 Bisher immer nett und freundlich empfangen worden. Morgens ist es auch nie überfüllt ..........und es schmeckt. Im Nachmittagd Bereich gibt es leckere Gerichte und Kuchen 🍰, Wirklich sehr lecker. Preislich ein bisschen höher. Im Teekantor stöbern lohnt sich immer. Dort findet jeder etwas zum mitnehmen.

Wir haben unsere Hochzeit im Wasserschloss gefeiert und könnten nicht glücklicher mit dieser Entscheidung sein! Die Location in der Speicherstadt ist einfach traumhaft und bietet eine einmalige Atmosphäre. Das Essen war super und der Service war sehr aufmerksam, herzlich und professionell. Das gesamte Personal war extrem nett und hat maßgeblich dazu beigetragen, dass wir und unsere Gäste uns rundum wohlgefühlt haben. Wir waren durchweg zufrieden und können das Wasserschloss für besondere Anlässe wärmstens empfehlen. Vielen Dank für diesen unvergesslichen Tag!

Das Ambiente ist wirklich gemütlich und die Lautstärke im Lokal ist angenehm. Der Gastraum bzw. die Tische waren sauber und aufgeräumt sowie schön minimalistisch gedeckt. Die Speisekarte ist übersichtlich (Frühstück), aber es gibt genug Auswahl und die Qualität des Essen ist gut. Der Service ist freundlich. Schön wäre es, wenn die Kellner gelegentlich auch den Gastraum im Blick hätten, um zusätzlich Bestellungen aufzunehmen. Nachbestellungen gestalteten sich etwas schwierig. Insgesamt ist die Lokalität zu empfehlen und einen Besuch wert.

Das insgesamt negative Erlebnis fing schon damit an, dass ich eine Rückfrage zu meiner Buchung hatte und bis heute keine Antwort auf meine E-Mail bekommen habe. Wozu hat man dann überhaupt eine E-Mail-Adresse oder Kontaktformulare? Unverständlich ist, warum man 40 Minuten auf sein Essen warten muss, obwohl nur zwei andere Tische besetzt waren. Auch kann ich nicht verstehen, warum ich lediglich den einen Slot buchen konnte, wenn in der Stunde, in der wir dort waren, der Laden gähnend leer war. Online sah es so aus, als wäre alles für den gesamten Tag restlos ausgebucht. Das ist offenbar an dem Tag intern Querelen gab, über die für uns hörbar diskutiert wurde, kann natürlich vorkommen. Man hat aber gemerkt, dass sich diese Stimmung auch übertragen hat. Das ist ein absolutes, no,go und völlig unprofessionell. Nochmals: 40 Minuten Wartezeit für vorgefertigte Häppchen und sechs kleine Sandwiches, die man in 3 Minuten streichen könnte. Geht gar nicht und schon gar nicht für 30 € die Person. Unsere Tea time war der absolute Reinfall. Als unser so genanntes Essen kam, war der Tee bereits kalt. Ich weiß nicht, ob das im Sinne des Erfinders ist. Leider handelt es sich offenbar doch um eine Touristenfalle, und man nimmt in Kauf, dass die Leute sowieso kein zweites Mal kommen würden.

Ich habe das Restaurant nicht besucht. Die Architektur und die Lage ist wunderschön.

Das Essen war hervorragend! Wir waren neun Personen und hatten absolut nichts zu beanstanden. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen, wenn ich das nächste Mal in Hamburg bin.

Wir hatten einen wirklich tollen Besuch im Wasserschloss. Das Essen war sehr lecker und man hat geschmeckt, dass hier mit hochwertigen und frischen Produkten gearbeitet wird. Die Gerichte waren sehr authentisch und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich auch den Service – Melanie und Ghiam waren super freundlich, aufmerksam und herzlich. Man hat sich vom ersten Moment an sehr wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall gerne wieder und können das Restaurant weiterempfehlen!

Im selben Haus, wo der Teekontor ist, befindet sich ein Stockwerk drüber das Wasserschloss. Hier kann man wunderbar und sehr lecker essen in einer familieren lockeren Atmosphäre. Und dort sind die Preise marktüblich, nicht überhöht gegenüber vergleichbaren Orten. Für mich ist das mein Lieblingsrestaurant in der Hafenstadt. Und hier wird wirklich noch frisch gekocht. Volle Empfehlung!

The food was cold and a bit bland. I had opted for Labskaus. After all, I'm from Hamburg... Labskaus is supposed to taste like corned beef, pickles, and beets—but it didn't. I have no idea how they could have messed it up. I tried the pasta with pesto from my neighbor. The pesto had a real kick.

The advertised tea was unfortunately very disappointing and tasted of nothing. The water for the tea was lukewarm, and the service was rather unfriendly. Not recommended.

Beautiful location, great tea selection, BUT the worst high tea I've ever had. Instead of the advertised warm scones, we received crumbly, cold ones. The sandwiches were uninspired; we only recognized the cream cheese and cucumber sandwich because of the description on the menu – there was no cucumber on it. It tasted more like goat's cheese and was completely unidentifiable. The roast beef tasted of nothing at all. Instead of clotted cream (standard and supposed to be available according to the menu), we got cream cheese. For €29.90 per person, we received three small sandwiches, two mini scones, a few small pastries, and only one cup of tea. The tea filter was too large for the single-cup teapot, so the tea leaves weren't fully submerged. As a result, the tea was very weak. We also had to look up the brewing times on the tea menu online, as we weren't given this information when we were served. Service was practically nonexistent; they only came by to turn away guests who hadn't made reservations. For a while, we were the only guests, but we weren't asked once if everything was alright. Even paying the bill took a very long time. The location is very nice, however, it's very drafty because the door is constantly left open, and only a curtain separates the dining area from the entrance, which unfortunately was often left open. CONCLUSION: I've experienced many team teas/cream teas. I've never experienced anything like this. Uninspired, cold, the wrong ingredients (clotted cream is essential and not just cream cheese), far too little tea, and then at €30, far too expensive. I definitely cannot recommend it. All in all, a complete disappointment – ​​even though the tea itself is tasty. Just for tea or breakfast, yes, but definitely not for high tea!

Poor value for money. High tea did not match the menu. There was no cucumber sandwich; instead, there was a sandwich with fried quinoa, mini scones, no orange marmalade, clotted cream more like cream cheese, and lukewarm tea (below 70°C). Unfriendly and uninterested staff.

Unfortunately, I have to leave a bad review, as it's the only feedback option available. I've been a regular customer at the tea shop for many years. I'm a regular customer primarily because, in the spirit of sustainability, I was always able to bring my own containers, which were then refilled. Today, the shop was moderately busy, basically as usual. An older gentleman served me. There was no line at the checkout. The gentleman poured a tea bag into my container, and for the other two varieties, I met him and fetched both containers. The gentleman then refused to pour my tea, became rude, and used the excuse that he didn't have time because the shop was so busy. After a lengthy discussion, during which other customers considered this unnecessary because there was no line to pay, I had to go and get the two bags myself. I'm truly disappointed with this level of customer service; I've never experienced anything like this in all these years! Now I have to refill everything at home and produce even more waste...

Wonderful dinner at Wasserschloss in Hamburg! Beautiful historic setting by the canals, lovely fresh fish dishes, and a great selection of wines and teas. Excellent service and cozy atmosphere — perfect place to enjoy fine food in one of Hamburg’s most charming spots.

Four of us came here for lunch on a Saturday. We got a table without a reservation, and dogs are welcome 😊 This restaurant has a real flair. Very rustic and cozy, the charm of the Speicherstadt (Warehouse District) is palpable, and the menu offers what I consider to be a perfectly manageable number of dishes – something for every taste. Vegetarian dishes are also available. A large selection of teas is available, and there's also a very cute tea shop right next door. The food is beautifully presented, and everyone was satisfied with the taste. The portions were on the smaller side – perfect for us at lunchtime, so we could continue our walk through Hamburg afterwards without the midday slump.

Unfortunately, we can't recommend the moated castle – especially not as a venue that you would book for a five-figure sum for a wedding. Even at the initial meeting, we had to wait over an hour for our order to be taken and for our cappuccino – even though we arrived early. We were then charged for it. Throughout the process, problems kept cropping up: Contracts were drafted incorrectly, despite clear agreements and notes from both sides. The contracts contained items (e.g., a fourth course, canapés) that we hadn't discussed. This didn't make sense, since our celebration wasn't scheduled to start until 6 p.m. and feature three courses anyway. Instead of transparency, we were given the impression that everything would be relaxed and easygoing, and that they trusted us. When we hadn't yet signed the contract due to the faulty contracts, a parallel booking was made behind the scenes for the ground floor – even though we had repeatedly emphasized that we wanted exclusive use of the entire venue. We didn't realize that, despite our clear word, we would still have to "prove" that we were serious until a proper contract was signed. Unfortunately, that was the end of our trust. Particularly disappointing: Shortly after we casually learned that another event was taking place at the same time, the responsible contact person went on vacation for 1.5 weeks – and was unavailable to us or anyone else. The representative didn't call back or respond to our emails. Instead of clearing up the misunderstandings, we were left to blame. The contract was never amended either, but continued to state the exclusive booking, even though double occupancy had long been agreed upon. All in all, we felt we were treated neither fairly nor professionally. We therefore cannot recommend the Wasserschloss.

Went to buy tea. It is an amazing place to buy tea. Don't know about the food. I did not eat there

The food was okay, but nothing special. Service was rather subpar.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it. We had reserved a table for 7 people for breakfast outside. The outdoor area was full, but maybe 7-8 tables/groups in total. While some of our group arrived about 20 minutes late, we had to wait a total of almost 50 minutes for our order. At least they could have asked about drinks instead of simply ignoring guests for almost an hour. Otherwise, no one ever asked if everything was okay or if we needed anything else—we really always had to ask for it ourselves. On top of that, the manager/head waiter repeatedly complained to his colleague about the other waitress in our presence in an extremely unprofessional manner: "Brother, she can't even make drinks." That's absolutely unacceptable in front of the guests, no matter how stressed you are. When we left, there wasn't even a "goodbye," and at first, we stupidly stood in the entrance for 5 minutes until someone came. The sentence "Your table is on the terrace at the back right" could have been said while making coffee and yelling at a colleague in front of the guests – it's not like you were bringing us to the table, and the menu didn't arrive for 20 minutes anyway. The table was also only set for 6 people, not 7. Breakfast was okay. I still had the menu (online) on my smartphone from the time I made the reservation a few weeks ago. Back then, breakfast for two was €31. The price is now €43 – the quality absolutely doesn't justify this price increase. In the Hafencity, for example, at Klein & Kaiserlich, you can get a breakfast for two that's 5x better quality and even includes orange juice for less money. The rolls and other items here are more like the quality of a bakery/chain and don't justify the €12 markup this year. So it's more of a tourist spot with inflated prices and poor service in a very nice location. We definitely won't be coming back.

Arrived at 17:25. Wasn’t greeted by staff until 17:30. Sat at the table for 25 minutes. No one came to serve me, nor was anyone around for me to signal. Left at 18:00 because I was hungry and wanted to be served.

Absolutely not recommended. We went for afternoon tea and had pre-ordered. We had the choice of sitting in the blazing sun or in the shade directly under the kitchen extractor. We opted for the shade. After choosing our tea, we were served. Spoons and milk were missing and were brought again. The water for tea was only lukewarm. When we asked, the tea was taken away and we waited 15 minutes for the new tea. By then the scones, which had probably been microwaved, were hard and dry. We complained and got new ones. We were able to eat the first one while it was still warm. The second one was a bit hard again. Overall, the quality of the food was poor for the price of almost 30 euros per person. We couldn't enjoy our stay. What a shame, it would be a lovely place in Speichstadt.

Very nice from the outside. The restaurant was closed for a private dinner. I walked in anyway. But I was expecting something nicer....🤷🏻‍♂️

The service in the restaurant was a disaster. The entrance was blocked with a red cord, forcing you to wait for entry. We wanted a table on the terrace for a drink, but we had to first check if there was space, even though we could see from a distance that only one table was occupied. The corridor through the restaurant was lined with delivery boxes on both sides, even during normal opening hours. The terrace itself was littered with cigarette butts, the tables weren't clean, and when we asked if they could be wiped down, we were met with an annoyed "everything's fine," before finally doing it. All in all, another very good example of the service desert that is Germany. P.S. The building itself and the tea shop are worth seeing.

There were six of us and we had reserved a table for lunch weeks ago. As we dutifully waited at the sign "Please wait here, you will be seated," we were able to watch the "motivated" waiter for quite some time as he tapped on his phone, chatted with customers, walked past us, walked back, and looked at his phone again... At some point—there were already a few people standing behind us, also waiting to be seated—my brother waved to him. He waved back exuberantly and then growled throughout the entire restaurant: We're completely full! You can't get a table here!" - My brother replied: "But we have a reservation." He told us to call out our name to him. So we called out our name across the entire restaurant. He didn't understand, so we called out again. Actually, we should have left the place at that point. Completely annoyed, he then pushed three tables together outside, and we were allowed to sit there. But when you think, okay, now we can get something to eat and drink here - far from it! We waited for quite a while, and after he strolled past us about ten times without even giving us a menu, we left the place. A shame, really. We also saved ourselves the lavish tea purchase in the adjoining shop. Thank goodness we found a very nice restaurant just a block away with friendly service and delicious food.

I don't know what happened with this cafe lately, it used to be a lovely place with a nice staff. Been there last week (as a couple) and got completely ignored by the staff for about 10 minutes while waiting to be seated. They passed around us. No greeting, no "please wait a bit" or anything. It wasn't during busy time, most tables were empty. Tried twice. Went away after 15 Min. waiting. Heard from a friend the same happened to them. I wonder what is wrong? Used to be a nice place.

It seemed as if it wasn't necessary; the people who came in after us, also three people without reservations, came in. If you don't want to go, you can have one. We found a very good alternative, which we can also recommend. I recommend moving on right away.

The tea shop is certainly delightful, and the sales staff there are friendly and courteous... however, we primarily wanted to quench our thirst in the chic ambiance... the apparently only service employee on duty was extremely unfriendly... we told him we'd like to sit outside for a quick glass of wine... there were plenty of free seats outside... we certainly wouldn't stay longer than half an hour... our request was brusquely rejected, with the instruction to sit inside... he would then come right over and take our order... we then sat in the drafty passageway and waited... and waited and waited... while we watched how coolly the waitress served the few customers... he just didn't come over to take our order... after a good quarter of an hour, we ignored the restaurant and left disappointed... we certainly won't be coming back.

When we visit Hamburg, we regularly go to the Wasserschloss, especially because of the large selection of teas in the shop. We also went to the restaurant for afternoon tea and cake. Unfortunately, the organization there was rather chaotic and uninviting.

We, two adults, were very satisfied with the food and the ambiance. The wine could have been even better.

It might be the worst Aperol Spritz I've ever had. It had a completely different color and taste.

Anyone who enjoys watching Pfefferkörner should definitely stop by. The staircase is no longer the one from the series, but it's still standing, and the tea shop looks fantastic and smells wonderful. :-) I didn't eat there. I just wanted a cup of tea, but I was a bit late. Instead, the friendly gentleman told me I was welcome to take a few photos outside (at the fork in the canal) and that I didn't necessarily have to drink tea. I gladly accepted and would like to thank him again for this kind service. Five stars for the service and the atmosphere.

Speicherstadt (1883–1927), 26 hectares, L ≈ 1.5 km, B = from 150 to 250 m, brick neo-Gothic, pile foundation, 12-meter oak tree trunks — the world's largest historical warehouse complex, built on the former Elbe islands. Crossed by 6 canals, has 20 bridges. The warehouses were used to store coffee (South and Central America), palm oil, cocoa beans, oriental carpets and other colonial goods. Wasserschloss (1905–1907) — the most famous monument of the complex. Sandtorquaihof — view of the oldest part, 2nd and 3rd construction sites.

Wenn das Wetter in Hamburg mitspielt, kann man sehr schön auf der Terrasse, direkt am Fleet in der Speicherstadt sitzen. Wir haben uns sonntags ein Frühstück gegönnt, das sehr ansprechend auf einer Etagere serviert wurde. Dazu gab es noch Rührei mit Speck, auch schön gemacht. Muss man wetterbedingt innen Platz nehmen, ist es eher etwas düster. Daher 1 Punkt Abzug. Preislich ist alles angemessen, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Hello! Hamburg's only true tea salon with a great breakfast and a fantastic evening menu. Highly recommended: 5 o'clock tea with a tiered tray full of delicacies. The perfect accompaniment is the Hamburg Sunday tea. A must on any trip to Hamburg. 🙂 Pro tip: Always make a reservation in advance!

Really good food and friendly waitress

The only flaw is that there are few seats inside and if it rains it is difficult to find a place.
