Tolle Kultkneipe, aufmerksamme Bedienung und leckeres Essen. Vorzugsweise muss man reservieren an den Essenenszeiten. 400g Rumsteak auf den Punkt gebraten und Preis Leistung zu 100% in Ordnung.

Servicen var ikke så god, vores drikkevarer blevet hamret hårdt ned på bordet, ellers var servicen ok (pas dog på for hvis tjeneren laver en fejl i jeres bestilling bliver han vred på jer). Maden var endnu værre, pastaen var overkogt og sovsen var rent vand.

Schade war schon mal besser. Das Tiefkühlgemüse kann man weg lassen , schmeckt nicht. Der Salat wär mit etwas Dressing doch besser zu essen. Salz und Pfeffer fehlten leider auf den Tischen. Für Ketchup und Majo extra zahlen Das Schnitzel auf den Pommes , schade diese waren dann leider nicht mehr knusprig. Dazu ist es einfach zu teuer .

Nachdem wir in König der Löwen waren hatten wir Hunger. Mit dem Taxi zu Erikas Ecke um dort ein Schnitzel zu essen. Ein Super Jägerschnitzel und eine sehr große Portion. Vielen Dank dafür.

I knew about the store from an NDR report and was really excited to shop here in the morning. Last weekend the time had come and I experienced pure bliss when I was able to enjoy a pepper wedge and beer with 3 friends at 2:30 in the morning. What else can I say please?

We wanted to eat there but the owner wouldn’t even let us inside. My boyfriend tried to explaine that we wanted to eat there, but he couldn’t even start to explaine that because she just keept interrupted him with no, no, no. Very rude. So if you aren’t local. Don’t go there.

Reviews may not be real (even in Germany). Food completely disgusting + gastrointestinal (2 people). You just shouldn't cook :)

Very tasty food. Last renovation probably decades ago. But everything was clean and extremely tasty.

Nothing to discover, like a basic menu of the day.

The ambience is typically Hamburg nice, rustic in the basement with an old bar and drinks bar. The service was always friendly and not at all intrusive, the food was good, well, apart from the schnitzel, everything seemed like it was straight out of a convection machine. The cost for schnitzel, fried potatoes and vegetables was around 14 euros.

Quaint pub with history and delicious food

I've been going to the corner irregularly for 20 years and have always been impressed. It WAS (!) a Hamburg institution, famous for schnitzel, roast beef and fried potatoes. Today (August 19, 2024): Warm, stale beer from the tap, sparkling water without sparkling water. When it comes to beer, there is no such thing as colder and when it comes to water: then the cartridge is probably empty. I can't do otherwise. Roast beef got 5 stars last time, today a maximum of one. The schnitzel fell from 5 to 2 stars. The fried potatoes are half raw. Overall, everything was completely tasteless. Service wasn't as cordial as usual but just in a bad mood and/or incompetent. All that remains of the old charm is the greasy ambience. The only thing that has gone up is the prices: € 101, for 4 people with a drink each (see above) I have never left in the corner. VERY VERY BAD! But I won't come back.

Here you can eat like your mother's 😀, the food is simply delicious 👍. If you're in Hamburg you definitely have to stop by here 😍. Schnitzel with fried potatoes and hunter's sauce is my favorite 🙃.

As always, we ate great food and have been eating there for years when we are in Hamburg. Despite the new ownership, the quality of the food has not suffered. Highly recommended. But it was best to make reservations if you were lucky.

If you come without a reservation you will be greeted very unfriendly and ignored. I had this experience some time ago. If you post a review describing this incident, the owner tries to delete this review on the grounds of slander... Absolute audacity. If you have had bad experiences you should be allowed to share them, but apparently this store is not very open to criticism. I call this freedom of expression. This probably also explains the many good reviews because the negative ones are deleted or reported.

So first of all, service was great, super nice. The Astra draft beer had no carbonation, in my opinion the fries were undercooked and simply too raw. In a shop like this you can expect that the fries will be good. But then what I personally don't understand is what's the point of these vegetables in a schnitzel with fries, such tasteless bagged vegetables and then more than half the plate full? That was kind of weird, if it at least tasted good. Then better have more salad.

Lunch was super tasty. Very friendly service. We sat at the new tables outside. Always happy.

Rustic place that serves huge schnitzels at a good price. Very nice staff.

I had schnitzel Viennese style with fried potatoes. That was a decent portion and it was delicious too. The waitress was super nice and very attentive. It is precisely because the shop is getting a bit old that it has so much charm. Everything has also been kept in good condition. Will definitely come back one day.

It was my first time at Erikas Eck and I have to say that I haven't eaten such delicious food in a long time as I did at Erikas Eck and the service is a dream, everyone is very friendly and I can only highly recommend Erikas Eck very cozy I have to say I really do I haven't felt as comfortable in a long time as I did at Erikas Eck. The restaurant is awesome. Historical trendy pub that you should definitely visit when you come to Hamburg.

The absolute hammer. A huge schnitzel that was as big as the plate, including the super delicious crispy fried potatoes. Very nice service too.

Even in Corona times, the following still applies: the best schnitzel in Hamburg in an honest atmosphere at the fairest prices. And the fried potatoes are awesome.

Great if you're hungry late and everyone else is already there! However, the menu is very meat-heavy. Nevertheless, we really liked it. Iconic! Doesn't Gunslinger Erika sing about her too? 😉 Card payment possible. Street parking.

Tasty as always, I just think the schnitzel has shrunk since the change in ownership (or it was due to the lunch specials)... tasty as always (especially the hunter's sauce), but the size was a bit disappointing.

Went here again yesterday after a year and was amazed. The guest room has been modernized, has become brighter and is significantly cleaner. We were also surprised that the usual queue when the restaurant opened was missing... (was it because Pauli was playing at the Millerntor???). The service person came quickly with a menu and food was taken. This also came promptly, tasty & in the usual, usual size, was great. The bill for food and drinks wasn't great. Beer 0.5 €4.50 is still possible, but the prices for schnitzel dishes have risen by €5 to €6... Sorry, Corona hurt everyone, but this price increase doesn't work at all. Sorry. Otherwise, please give a higher number of stars...

The schnitzel is amazing, but the people in the restaurant is a little wierd 😂 Update after third visit in total of 9 years. Still a bit strange staff. not unpleasant, but not pleasant. Still good food, and good value despite increased prices.

Disappointed by this restaurant. I expected it to be one of the best restaurants for schnitzel in Hambourg but it was just ok and the service was pretty bad. The waitresses were not welcoming and seemed like annoyed when we asked where to seat after entering the restaurant. Then one of them almost yelled at us after we sat at the wrong table. Then they forgot to bring us the drinks we ordered, and when we made them notice to remove them from the bill, one of them seemed very annoyed. Only positive thing was the large portions and very quick service.

Excellent, it was our first time there and then two evenings in a row. Nice, clear menu, good home cooking and good beer.

At first glance it seems a bit scruffy. However, the food and service are diametrically opposed to this. To eat there is good home cooking at reasonable prices. If I come to Hamburg I will definitely eat here again. However, parking spaces are in short supply here.

What a loving and wonderful little oasis. Owner-managed, with extremely friendly staff. It's almost certainly not the last time I've been here. This really makes me really happy. That's exactly how I like it, lovingly unrenovated, simply a shop whose interior tells a story.

Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with our visit: it took almost half an hour for someone to come and take the order, despite repeated "I'll be with you" several times. Then it took another 20 minutes for the drinks to arrive and we had to ask again beforehand what everyone had ordered (seven people had one drink each). The food came quite quickly but unfortunately it wasn't tasty (I had schnitzel Holstein style). Everything was completely unseasoned in terms of salt and pepper. Both the fried potatoes, the vegetables and the schnitzel itself. In addition, the meat itself is e.g. T. didn't taste good either. Maybe we had a bad day, but unfortunately we can't recommend the store.

Large portions are simply brought. Food is ok. Fried potatoes are simply great.

The Hawaiian schnitzel was okay, the curry sauce was very weak and had no pizzazz. Otherwise a decent portion but for almost 20 euros it's quite expensive considering you're sitting in a kind of bar. Unfortunately, the service wasn't that quick and we waited quite a long time to order and pay for drinks. There were meatballs and strange cardboard decorations on the counter.

Zurecht legendär. Sehr leckeres Essen auch zu unwirtlichen Zeiten, sehr nettes Personal und immer was los. Meine Empfehlung ist das Schnitzel, die Mettbrötchen und natürlich das Bier.

Et autentisk spisested med super betjening og de vildeste schnitzler. kæmpe, saftige og godt med brasekartofler og gemüse. Meget hyggeligt og godt udvalg af klassisk mad.

Bit of a local joint, some traditional dishes and very large portions. But the place is run down and totally no frills, food is not good enough nor price low enough to justify coming here if you’re a tourist.

Super cult gastronomy the best schnitzels in Hamburg

This was my first time there since the new owners took over. I was unbiased and it hurts my heart, but at least once the food wasn't really good. Fries were limp and didn't taste good and you had to look for the bacon in the fried potatoes with a magnifying glass. Unfortunately, the wait staff who shaped the ambience no longer work there. Prices have remained stable, you have to give them that.

The schnitzel and the fried potatoes are great! The vegetables seem to be frozen food and are very sober, the salad probably comes from a bag...? But you go there to eat schnitzel, meatballs and sandwiches. And that's all great! The service is very friendly, even if it takes a long time to serve the drinks and sometimes something was forgotten. Nevertheless, it was very cozy and we had a good evening!

Great, rustic restaurant with excellent cuisine. The portions are very generous and the price-performance ratio is good. Service (Women Power) was TipiTopi. Unfortunately we didn't have a reservation, but it was still possible because we were a small group and didn't stay that long. It is advisable to reserve in advance here. A delivery service is also offered here.

There's little to complain about the food and general ambience, but the grandma there was so annoyed and unfriendly to any visitors that you wonder what she's even looking for there when she clearly doesn't feel like being there.

Was the change of operator a good thing? I don't think so anymore. Yes, the portions are large and it's delicious, but despite making a reservation and asking to come to the back room, you are seated at the round table below the gaming machine, essentially in the middle of the room. You should dispose of this table immediately because as a guest you don't feel comfortable there at all. There were a lot of free tables and yet the management or owner, whatever she is, tried to seat people as uncomfortably as possible. The main thing is to leave the large tables free, even if you have no problem with other guests sitting down. Leaves you speechless and angry.

Erika's Eck is a place of peace (during the day), cozy, inviting, fantastic food, the meatballs are legendary, huge, super tasty 😋, a very large selection of sandwiches, extremely well topped at great prices. The roast beef with fried potatoes is also fantastic, not forgetting the extensive schnitzel selection. I can only think of superlatives when it comes to Erika's Eck. The staff extremely friendly, pleasant, courteous, empathetic. Highly recommended!!!
