Top notch. Highly recommended. Great value for money. Huge portions, which is rare these days. Top service. What they do there is amazing. If you visit Hamburg, you should definitely visit Erika's Corner.

Delicious Viennese style schnitzel

Every time I'm in Hamburg, Erika's Eck is a must. Great atmosphere and the food tastes really good. A must for people who want to eat well and yet love culture and tradition.

Simply cult, currywurst is great, just do it.

Service seemed overwhelmed, ordering and paying took a long time. Food rather below average: ready-made sauces, breading greasy and not crispy. We won't go there again

Yep..... We were here for dinner during the week and even though we were the only guests, we were greeted harshly and given the table right next to the front door - with the words that everything was reserved 😅 The same thing happened to the two couples after us and even after 90 minutes not a single reservation came in... oh well🤔 The food came quickly and the portions were quite large, but not so large that you couldn't finish it. The prices are quite high for the dishes. I was reminded of a motorway rest stop: side salad from the bag, warmed fried potatoes and an old musty air in the shop.🫣 The older lady who served us was probably part of the inventory, but she was in a good mood. ☺️ I became aware of Erika's Eck through social media. Unfortunately, our conclusion is soberingly low - you don't need more than a one-time visit here 😉

Enjoy your meal. A typical corner pub where you can't go wrong. But I personally wouldn't travel extra for it.

What a great place! We found it by googling and we are super happy! The service is great there, everyone is super friendly! Plus delicious beer from the tap and the best part is the food! Good home cooking, super tasty! And the portions are so large that a seasoned man will be full. If I lived here, I would definitely be there more often.

Top address and must-do program for every visit to Hamburg - a traditional restaurant that a lot of Hamburgers also visit. So it's not really touristy, although it is also a tourist attraction. You get a very good and plentiful selection of dishes here with an excellent price-performance ratio. German cuisine, so if you're looking for nouvelle cuisine, you've come to the wrong place. If you're lucky (some would call it unlucky) you can stumble into HSV's relegation celebrations here

On the second attempt we got seats in this quaint, beautiful pub. We felt at home as soon as we entered the restaurant. Audience very mixed. We also ate the famous huge and wafer-thin schnitzels (how are they made ;-). The (older) waitress obviously didn't have office hours when we visited :-) The toilets were new and clean! We found it disadvantageous that they charged €2.50 (!) for a "robber's plate" and that we didn't receive a receipt at the end. We were only told the amount to be paid. Nevertheless: we'll be back!

Just comfortable. You have to have been here. The currywurst is a hit. The meatballs are just awesome. The service is great, it's fun to chat with the waitress. Great team.. I think this is a little insider tip. It's just fun to eat there. If you are in St. Pauli, go there. It's really really cool. If you want to get to know simple, normal Hamburg. You definitely won't be disappointed. Cool is a simple hello, and then that's fine. I come from the immediate vicinity. I have been living and working in other German countries for over 30 years (Baden Württemberg) and I am always happy when I go back home. And then Eriks Eck is the first address.

We ate at Erikas Eck for the first time and thought it was great. Large portions, good price, great ambience. It is rustically furnished like it was in the 80s and 90s. You like it or you don't. We thought it was great. It was full, but still a pleasant atmosphere. Without a reservation it is difficult to get a seat. We will definitely come back next time we are in HH.

We reserved a table for 6 p.m. and were seated directly in front of the counter. The staff was friendly and they addressed us informally. At this time, the tables were already well occupied. The food (Budapest schnitzel with fried potatoes) arrived very quickly after ordering. We didn't find the schnitzel particularly large, the sauce very tasty, and the schnitzel was average, but we've had much better. What's absolutely unacceptable...the schnitzel was placed on top of the fried potatoes, which we then had to remove from the schnitzel. It's not a cozy atmosphere here. Lines of people stretch from the counter (constantly standing at our table) all the way out into the street, trying to get a table. Without a reservation, it's almost impossible. We heard about Erika's Eck on TV and were excited to visit. Nice, but we won't be returning.

Sensational home cooking, Our waitress Monika was very pleasant and competent and had an open ear. Quaint restaurant, was very, very tasty. We were only visiting Hamburg, but we will come back on our next visit, we promise

The best restaurant I have ever eaten in Germany. The atmosphere inside is great, like a scene from a European movie. The food is all delicious, even the baked broccoli with cheese is delicious. Of course, the German sausage and the smoked fish steak are both must-orders.

Typical Hamburg corner pub with a delicious menu and friendly staff. The ambience is Gelsenkirchner Baroque, rustic, old but cozy. Just go there and enjoy delicious food from schnitzel to sour meat, something for everyone.

I've never seen such a big meatball. And the taste is gigantic, with fried potatoes and paprika sauce. Unique. Awesome. The schnitzels are gigantic.

On January 23rd, 2025 I traveled by train to Erika's Eck. The Sternschanze S-Bahn station is just a few minutes' walk away. I became aware of this iconic pub through a report on N3. And what can I say... I wasn't disappointed. I was welcomed in a typical North German way. A warm “Moin” and nothing more is needed. That says everything. 😀 The food was very tasty and was served quickly and hot. The portion was more than enough. The ambience is very iconic. Hopefully nothing ever changes, because that's exactly how it is. I can fully recommend Erika's Eck.

Looks nice, but in recent years the food has become really bad. Meat completely unseasoned and without any taste, for the price you can get better deals in many places. Staff very quaint and nice, nice ambience but food... Well...

I've just been traveling on a tour bus for 3 weeks and the Swedish colleagues said that the waitress was pretty "angry" as they could only speak English and that a delivery person had been told to take off his dirty shoes. I thought that was good and went there promptly. I had to say no to the lady at the counter's question about the reservation, whereupon the mood that I had been promised was very subdued. As a Viennese and therefore, according to widespread opinion, a terrible person, I had to be able to deal with it. Contrary to popular experiences here, as a single person, I immediately got a table at 7:30 p.m. that could have accommodated 5 well-paying guests. The lady, yes, she was a little bold at first, but you don't have to be flattered all the time. Just as it can be cold in winter and hot in summer. I had to test the food solely because of my origins - I hardly eat schnitzel at home anymore. I thought the German version with pepper sauce was great, the fried potatoes were more like a “G’röstl” with bacon and onions, so even better! Then a luxuriously decorated German-style apple strudel. Powerful, magnificent. The good lady now smiled really sweetly. Very likeable - really. If you only think luxurious 5-star restaurants are good, you're wrong here. It's a schnitzel shop, with an ambience and furnishings that I see increasingly giving way to identity-less system catering in Austria, much to my chagrin. Any time! No luxury - just in the eye of the beholder.

You have to visit Erika's Eck in Hamburg. I have rarely seen such a cult restaurant. It takes you back a bit to old times. The food was just great. And the atmosphere was great.

It's actually a great old Hamburg veteran restaurant. Classic German schnitzel cuisine. Service is good.. The new management has become really expensive.. BUT The reservation is mega negative since the new management. Reserved a certain part in August and simply moved it somewhere else without asking.. Directly to the drafty door.. And no communication with management.. No response to emails, no callbacks. This is the last one, and our last celebration there. Definitely not recommended... In general, I would say don't go there at all and if you do, then only order via delivery service so that they charge huge fees... As a neighbor, I was a loyal fan of the store... Partying here and there again and again for many years.. But not anymore.. He's definitely made a mistake. THIS is how you destroy a veteran. It's a shame...

The schnitzel was wonderful. It was affordable and the portion was huge. I came here with a bunch of friends. They had no problem finding a table, even though the place was crowded and the service was very quick.

When we entered the restaurant we were asked in an unfriendly tone if we had made a reservation, even though the restaurant was almost empty. After we said no, we were told to wait, but the waitress concentrated on all other tasks instead of assigning us a table. After 7-10 minutes of waiting and asking again if anything else was going to happen, we finally left the restaurant. The service seemed disinterested and uninviting.

Cult restaurant in the Schanze, Erika always goes! You have to be lucky to get a seat here at lunchtime. Today it worked, we had schnitzel Holstein style and a beer. You can also get gypsy schnitzel here or a currywurst. Friendly 💁 service and a rustic atmosphere in the Schanze!

Not what it used to be. Schnitzel for 20 euros and you can read the newspaper. Fries become mud because under the schnitzel. Service unfriendly and annoyed. There is no such thing as a please or a thank you. It's a shame if you remember the store differently

Very great pub located in the middle of the Schwanzenviertel. The pub is culture and has been around for a very long time. The staff is helpful and very friendly. The food on offer is very good and reasonably priced. And the food is also very clean.

Absolutely recommended, awesome pub. Great and fast service, the food was extremely tasty and huge portions. We hadn't made a reservation but were able to spontaneously get a place for two people. Reservations should definitely be made, the great service made a lot of things possible, but at some point people had to be turned away. Our dog wasn't a problem either and was allowed to come along.

We booked the table at 7 p.m. Now we thought, let's come earlier because we were hungry. We opened the door and then the nice little waitress came to us and asked, have we reserved? My answer is yes, but only at 7 p.m., we are hungry and wanted to go earlier. The lady’s annoying look says “no”. Ok then we'll come back in 40 minutes. There were only 3 guests sitting in the corner and everything else was free. Then we arrived at 6:55 p.m., the question was...Have you made a reservation? Yes, we have it at 7:00 p.m. Then she gave us a table that was at the counter/kitchen passage. The order was not asked at the table but was taken 2 meters behind the counter. The smaller waitress was always annoyed, kept sending people away, rolled her eyes and wrapped the ringing phone, which actually rang 50 times, in a towel😂and the craziest thing of all was: the little older waitress cleared a table and went to her colleague with 5 plates got stuck in the passage and everything flew to the floor. The air was crazy😂, I was almost on the floor laughing, my friend said sorry in embarrassment. The waitress answered..Oh, you're not wide at all and keep your hands to yourself now....🤣It wasn't his fault, if they sat us down at the passage, you should expect plates to fall. When it came time to pay, she had received a tip of between 4 and 5 euros from us, and there was no thank you... It gave the impression that it could be taken for granted... That wasn't very nice either... And when you're constantly frustrated and don't have any friends In this nice, iconic restaurant you should probably think about doing something different, because it's not good for everyone. They sat us at a broken table that constantly shakes and you can't eat on it. The drinks spilled on the table and they didn't want to move us. The restaurant is very small and dirty; it's not worth spending your money there. There are much nicer restaurants.

Absolute cult pub with great homemade food, whether it's a schnitzel, steak or meatball, anything goes here, it's simply delicious. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Hamburg. In 2024 we made it here again after almost four years and what can I say, nothing has changed, it's still just as good as before.
