Super relaxed atmosphere, cozy and very nice waiters

The food was okay, but not outstanding. The food wasn't very well seasoned and the portions were rather small for the price. Overall, the food lacks that certain something to really inspire. For a spontaneous visit, Casa Romana is a solid choice, but there are definitely better Italian restaurants in Hamburg.

Das Essen war okay, aber nicht überragend. Das Essen war nicht ganz gut gewürzt und die Portionen eher klein für den Preis. Insgesamt fehlt dem Essen das gewisse Etwas, um wirklich zu begeistern. Für einen spontanen Besuch ist Casa Romana eine solide Wahl, aber es gibt in Hamburg definitiv bessere italienische Restaurants.

We were only shown the expensive board, not the regular menu, which we unfortunately only discovered on the way out. A reference to the map would have been appropriate. The food was good, nothing more. It was uncomfortably cool in the restaurant. I can't recommend this restaurant.

Unfortunately, we were only shown the high-priced table with (a few) delicious dishes. As a vegetarian, the selection was a bit slim. There was only one wine on this menu for €10 per 0.2 glass. It was very cold in the restaurant itself.

From the outside, the restaurant makes a cozy impression, which is reinforced on the inside. We received a warm and friendly welcome and were treated to a quick and warm welcome throughout. This pizza! I would like to go back in my life to the time when I took the first bite. Light and crispy, thin but strong enough to hold the topping. One of the best I've ever had. The taste experience is like a friend surprising you with a grin and cold drinks on a warm summer evening. 11/10.

Small, fine ristorante near the main station. There is a standard menu and an extra table with more exquisite dishes. Both fish and meat were excellent. The service was also good. The card machine is working again :-) The prices are not cheap, but still seem reasonable.

Food was ok, pricey for what it was but I've had better pasta in my travels all over Europe. I ordered a Spagetti Carbonara...which was pretty tasteless and it was drowning in parmesan cheese, so didn't make for the nicest dish. Still, it filled a much need hole in my stomach but I won't eat there again. My advice to travellers/tourists....check to see how busy a restaurant is before entering. A busy restaurant means it's busy for a reason ie the food is good. But this restaurant, it wasn't that busy...even on Friday and Saturday night when a good restaurant is usually packed with people. Waiter had the audacity of asking for a tip. I will only tip if both the food and the service is above and beyond. In this it was far from it.

Wir (2 Erw. + 1 Kind 11 Jahre) waren hier zu Gast zum Abendessen. Wir hatten bereits mehrere Lokale abgeklappert, die alle voll waren und daher waren wir froh, dass wir einen Platz gefunden hatten. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und an einen netten Tisch gebracht. Als Hauptspeise gab es Seezunge, Spaghetti mit Meeresfrüchte und Tagliolini mit Trüffel und Rinderfiletspitzen. Das Essen war gut, die Preise sind aber schon teuer. Der Service war nett.

Asked directly for gluten-free pasta or pizza because my wife has an allergy. They said the spaghetti was gluten-free, which we also ordered. However, penne came instead of spaghetti, which really surprised us. We asked and the waiter confirmed again that it was gluten-free pasta and that he had made a mistake with the type. After I tried this I asked again. He then came out of the kitchen with the packaging and said we could take a look for ourselves. In the end it was whole wheat pasta and he said he didn't have any other ones. I ended up eating alone and we had to find another restaurant. When it came to the bill, the waiter generously said he hadn't charged for the penne. Trying to sell whole grain pasta as gluten-free is an absolute no-go.

Attention, immediacy, and quality with respect to pizzas and wine. The general atmosphere is very warm and you feel well cared for. The wine may be slightly expensive compared to the quality, but it does not negatively affect the experience. I recommend it.

The Italian around the corner. Food tasted great. Warm, flavorful. Service was attentive and quick. The price for the food is right. (grill plate) Unfortunately the drinks prices are excessive. 3x Sprite for €14.80 is simply over it. What's interesting is that the card reader seems to have been broken for over a year. We only accepted cash payments. Other recessions from others tell the same story. THAT is strange and gives you a strange feeling. 1 point deduction for the drink prices 1 point deduction for the thread aftertaste with the “defective” EC device.

The food is OK. The prices completely exceeded the portions. Food appears on the bill that actually belongs to the dish. Here you are clearly being exploited and cheated. We won't be coming back.

Overpriced and not really tasty pasta.

Definitely too expensive for bad food. Beef pizza was dry and very salty. The pizza dough is very thin and flaky. There's hardly any sauce and I didn't see any truffles either. They paid 23 euros for this. Was the worst pizza so far. My answer that the pizza wasn't good was ignored 2 times. Lasagna is tiny and doesn't fill you up either. Our group then went to the kebab opposite.

We received a very friendly welcome and the pizza was really good! We had interesting and good conversations with the owner. If we are in Hamburg again, another visit is a must.

Catastrophic. No welcome, zero friendliness, ignorance of guests. They're out again straight away. We should first practice how to address Göste. Not even worth 1 STAR.

We are in Hamburg for business and pleasure and were at Casa Romana this evening, FULL TREFFER. This is Italian hospitality as you wish. Super friendly service, very tasty food and a very pleasant and cozy atmosphere. We will definitely come back and give it a well-deserved 5 stars. Keep it up and thank you for a nice evening.

Weird shop. We were asked if we were from Hamburg (yes). The food was ok and plentiful (pasta). There was also bread and olives. The drinks were large without even asking. We were only shown the board, not given the cards, which are there. Our waiter was friendly, another waiter was very grim and complained loudly to the employees in the kitchen, which we could unfortunately hear very clearly from our seat. We also received an invoice, but without warning it said that the card machine was defective and only cash payment was possible. We didn't have enough cash and didn't even bother looking for an ATM. Then he suddenly asked what kind of card we had (EC) and then he got the device and it worked perfectly. Unfortunately the whole thing left an unpleasant aftertaste and we definitely won't be coming back. I could imagine that tourists get worse service here than locals.

There are two menus, a highly touted more expensive menu and a classic menu. The food was good (pizza). The waiter only informed the guests when they were paying that card payment was not possible due to a technical problem. One guest had no cash and presto the card machine worked for everyone and without any problems 😉

We were here for the first time. Very friendly and warm welcome, the staff remained attentive and warm without being intrusive, as a greeting from the kitchen there was a small portion of warm bread with olives and olive oil, just right. The main courses (lamb fillets, tagliatelle with truffle, penne with avocado and goat cheese) were freshly prepared, tasted very good and were completely sufficient for a normal appetite, the wine (Primitivo) was a good recommendation. The dessert was also very tasty (and just fit in 😊) but the price was reasonable in the upper segment. Anyone who expects a lot of food for little money these days and doesn't value quality - that also has its price!! - should rather go to the Golden Seagull restaurant or choose a similar offer. We were very satisfied at Casa Romana and would like to come back.

The waiter (owner?) tried to scam us. We ordered a salad with salmon, the price of which was on the menu. When charging us, the bill showed a higher price than the one on the menu. We told the waiter and he tried to mess with us by playing with the language, saying that the cost of salmon had gone up a lot, until we showed him the menu with the real price. Also the food is mediocre. I would never return. I don't recommend it.

We were very disappointed. Lasagna was just a small piece of meat with what felt like 1 kg of cheese gratinated. Hey guys, pizza dough works differently. I've never eaten such bad pizza.

Very cozy Italian restaurant with reliable and friendly service. It's open until midnight, so perfect if you've been out and about and still want something warm to eat. Tortellini Panna was delicious, I would have even liked a slightly larger portion at the end.

It's OK, the food is quite good, the premises are quite nice, the bathroom is clean, the service is adequate. I found it all a bit boring but it was, as I said, OK. Not great, not bad, prices normal for the area I think. 5/10 from me.

They have tried to scam us with the account by putting other prices than those indicated in the letter. We have asked for the letter and they actually returned it to us after arguing with them. But you could see on their faces that they did it on purpose and wanted to charge us more. They smiled when we caught them.

Very expensive, the waiters didn't speak German, the food was nothing special and arrived cold. The fork was dirty. The receipt wasn't even printed out, citing a technical problem. Never again, if you go there, will it be your own fault and you will have to pay heavily for this stupid decision and feel the blood of your money cat for this mistake. There are so many better restaurants in Hamburg!

The best Italian restaurant in the long line. I tried several restaurants and they exceeded my expectations here. The best carpaccio I have ever eaten. My main course, tagliatelle with truffles and beef, was also very tasty The service is very accommodating. And I can only recommend it to all of you. Thanks Roy.

From the entrance you can feel the Italian atmosphere, inside the restaurant is nice, clean and atmospheric. The service was nice, efficient and helpful. A large selection of dishes, which I personally don't like, because too much choice means a lot of time thinking about what you want. Ordered pizza with buratta, very good thin crust.

I was insulted and threatened by another customer in the store. He overheard snippets of conversation from our table and took offense at me because of my background and my job. Our waiter basically didn't react at all after we pointed this out to him. A no-go. Never again.

We made the waiter aware, he already knew of the problem and explained to us mouses are coming from outside and assured us there are no nests in the restaurant. Nothing you really want to hear while having a nice dinner. We didn’t stay for dessert and felt alerted and stressed rest of the dinner. Shall this place be even open? Please deal with the problem, e.g. keep the doors closed, put traps, deep clean, etc. as this is health risk for your customers and nothing you shall have in the restaurant.

We were here twice during our visit to Hamburg. The service was very friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was pleasant and, above all, we liked the fact that even quite late - around 9:30 p.m. - you were greeted in a friendly manner and could enjoy yourself in a relaxed manner. Of course the food was also very tasty ;-)

Pizza was not homemade. The pasta dish was ok. But pseudo Italian.

The atmosphere is generally very pleasant. I ordered piccata alla pollo, which didn't taste like piccata at all. The pizza tasted like it came from the freezer. The red wine was ice cold, not just chilled. When we wanted to pay, the waiter responded to our comment that we wanted to pay in cash, but he forgot to tell us that you can't pay in cash. Unfortunately, we were ultimately quite dissatisfied.

Super tasty, nice staff and always ask if everything is OK. Although the prices are very high, they are justified for the food. All in all, top and highly recommended.

Skuffende oplevelse (modsat i 2023): Forvirrende og uoverskuelig menu, skrevet på en stor tavle. Vi måtte bede om brød flere gange (meget tørt) , da der ikke var tilbehør til retten. Maden smagte ok, men der var alt for lidt, i betragtning af prisen, og at det var en hovedret. Desserten var meget lille og smagte ikke af noget. Alt ialt en dårlig oplevelse og ALT for dyr..! Vi kommer ikke igen

Absolute , üble Abzocke! Nach 18 Uhr steht noch vor der Eingangstür die Speisekarte vom Mittagstisch, die als solches nicht sofort erkennbar ist. Am Abend kosten diese gleichen Gerichte 10 € mehr. Satt wird man von diesen Minigerichten auf keinem Fall ! Frage nach Hauswein? Für mich bedeutet Hauswein, dass er der günstigste ist, den das Restaurant anbietet- 9,50€.

Not recommendable!!! If you are looking for good Italian pizza you will NOT find it. I had a salami pizza. This came out of the kitchen relatively quickly and tasted comparable to a frozen pizza from Dr. Oetker. Very oily, the topping very babeish, the dough tasteless and raw - all in all, not recommended for someone who likes to sniff pizza and maybe, like me, likes to make it completely at home, like a little Italian. Otherwise the service was very nice and friendly. I can't really complain about that :) Conclusion Well located at the main train station and easily accessible, but the price-performance ratio is simply not right here. Unfortunately I was seduced by the 4.1 stars in the reviews... Don't make the same mistake ;)

We ordered the pasta with beetroot and got the one with spinach. When asked several times, they kept saying it was the pasta with red B ete. But they were green on the inside and tasted like spinach. Funny. The food was tasty but unfortunately the 10 noodles won't fill you up and for the price you can at least expect a normal portion. Then unfortunately we asked for the bill 3 more times and still waited 15 minutes. But at least the photos by Bud Spencer and Terence Hill were very nice :)

I had the pleasure of visiting CASA ROMANA and I absolutely love it! The ambience was warm and inviting, with an authentic atmosphere that immediately transported me to Italy. The menu offers an impressive selection of traditional Italian dishes. I chose [name of dish] and it was a real treat. The ingredients were fresh, the flavors harmoniously balanced, and the preparation was simply excellent. The chef definitely knows his craft! The service was attentive and friendly. The staff was always willing to make recommendations and ensure we were completely comfortable. The wine list was also impressive, offering a good selection of Italian wines that paired perfectly with the food. As far as value for money is concerned, I was pleasantly surprised. The portions were generous and the quality of the food absolutely justified the prices. All in all, my visit to CASA ROMANA was an outstanding culinary experience. I highly recommend it and look forward to trying more dishes next time. Bravo to the entire team for a successful evening!

Ambiance well located near the main station, but the taste of my pizza was comparable to the frozen pizza from the discounter. The waitress was overwhelmed when ordering in a larger group. I would recommend another restaurant in the area if you're hungry quickly.

Dårlig parodi på Carbonara. Små klumper af stivnet æg og en gennemgående smag af Knorr. Efter bytte var klumperne væk, men der manglede fylde og...ja alt hvad der skal til en Carbonara manglede faktisk. Og så var den lavet med bacon

We went to this restaurant for the first time. I had made a reservation in advance and stated that it was supposed to be a birthday meal. When we arrived I told the waiter that we had a reservation, then the waiter pointed in a direction and said back there and went on his way. We sat down at a free table and waited. After a while another waiter came and brought the menu. After another long time the waiter came back and briefly asked what we would like to order. It could go on and on, but, in short. Food good, service catastrophe. We won't be coming back. There are better restaurants in the immediate vicinity.

Rip off!!! There are two menus! A highly advertised handwritten card on chalkboards and a somewhat shabby laminated card, which is only available upon special request. Overall, there are a lot of dishes on offer, which doesn't speak for the quality of the restaurant. The food came within 10 minutes. Outrageously high prices that are completely out of proportion to the miserable food. I had tagliatelle with salmon for €18.90 and a wine spritzer for €6.50. The cream and flour sauce tasted like nothing. The parmesan came out of the bag and tasted spoiled. The three pieces of salmon were not fresh. The tagliatelle was also usually from the supermarket shelf. I didn't finish my food. When the waiter asked if everything was okay, I said no. This was then ignored. No further inquiry, no offer of compensation (e.g. with espresso, digestif). Payment was only in cash, which I always find very questionable in a restaurant. I haven't sat so badly or been so ripped off in years! Actually it should be -5 stars.

The food was nice, but the service was not great, to say the least. The service had just been okay until the bill. No one told us they did not accept any cards and the waiter got upset because after scraping all our cash to pay the bill, we did not have more than 50 cents for the tip.

Leider gab es beim Bezahlen Unregelmäßigkeiten welche erst nach

Die Platzierung zweier Erwachsener geschah an einem wackligen Tischlein. Das Essen war lecker, aber überteuert. Der Ober konnte kaum Deutsch und gab sich unmotiviert. Vorab kein Salat, kein Brot, kein Öl, nichts. Hoffnungslos überteuertes schlichtes Weinchen. Kommt mit 19% MwSt in einen "gefährdeten Bereich".

Kleine Lasagne für 24€ ?! (Die Lasagne war ok, meine Kritik gilt nur dem Preis). Sehr unfreundlicher Kellner. Hat den Stuhl meiner Begleitung heftig angestossen, aber kein Wort der Entschuldigung verlauten lassen.

Im Lokal war es kalt, die Sets an den Plätzen wurden mit einem nassen Lappen im Beisein der Gäste abgewischt. 0

Vor einem Konzertbesuch sind wir hier essen gewesen. Wir wurden freundlich begrüßt und haben einen Tisch zugewiesen bekommen. Der Kellner kam umgehend mit einer großen Tafel als Karte zu unserem Tisch. Unglücklicherweise hat er sich so ausgedrückt, als würde es nur diese Speisen geben. Andere Gäste, welche nach uns kamen, konnten aber auch von der regulären Karte bestellen. Blöd für uns gelaufen. Der Service war den Besuch über eher mau und unaufmerksam. Teilweise wurden wir ignoriert, obwohl wir noch Dessert und Getränke nachbestellen wollten. Und der Laden war nicht sonderlich voll, was solch ein Verhalten erklären könnte. Das Essen war gut. Lecker abgeschmeckt und von der Portionsgröße in Ordnung.

Das Essen ist ganz in Ordnung, Personal aber außergewöhnlich unfreundlich. Selten sowas freches erlebt. Ich empfehle ein anderes Lokal aufzusuchen. Ab 18 Uhr gibt es eine extra Karte, mit deutlich höheren Preisen. Also essen ist an sich ganz gut (jedoch nichts für Nussallergiker, da überall Mandeln mit drin sind), Atmosphäre auch ganz nett und Rest wie oben beschrieben.
