Solid pizza. Sometimes you have to wait a little longer for the table despite having a reservation. When it's full; Then it is very loud and you sit very close to each other.

This place is a complete disaster. Despite having a reservation, we had to stand in front of the store for 20 minutes... There was a huge crowd and no way back. There was a fight in the store and everything was a mess. We would have happily gone somewhere else.

This one star isn’t definitely for the service neither the food, because both were perfect. It’s been 4 years since we were here last time, but this time we were disappointed by the way the pizza-men were dealing with each other. Why they are so aggressive!!! This reflects a bad picture of the restaurant. I recommend them to learn more about social skills and not only making pizza.

Food is delicious and not too expensive. The personnel are most of the time friendly but you have to plan for a waiting time (~30 minutes), even with a reservation. The atmosphere is great, even if it's crowded. Luigis is worth an experience and I can recommend it!

What an experience. The store was packed, but everything was still under control. The food was fantastic, the service was great, the pizzas were huge. We'll be back!

A definite recommendation! We stumbled upon it quite by chance and met the friendly, joking staff. Our group of six enjoyed two mixed plates of fish and meat, which were truly a treat. Everything was delicious and obviously of the highest quality. Luigi's is now on our list of favorites :) It was a bit crowded and noisy inside, but it was still always friendly, which speaks volumes about the business. Conclusion: world-class!

After a long time (03.2024) we went there again and again found it very good because we had enough time, very friendly service and great pizzas.

Unfortunately an absolute disappointment! I stressed several times that my pizza should be crispy - instead it came out completely wobbly and tasted like raw dough. This shows that little value is apparently placed on customer wishes here. The staff was also extremely unfriendly, you don't feel welcome. The entire store looks dingy - it seems as if everything was deliberately kept dark so that you can't see the dirt. The cutlery was dirty, which is not possible at all! The absolute hammer: I specifically ordered lactose-free cheese because I can't tolerate it - and yet I was still served normal cheese. This is not only disrespectful, but also dangerous for people with intolerances! After the first bite we felt really sick. We left the pizza and left. Definitely never again!

Yes, everything was fine, but despite our online reservation, we had to wait outside in line. When we went in, saying we had a reservation, we were sent back in line without being asked for our names. So we waited again and then brazenly went to the front. We were able to answer the question "2?" with "yes" and were shown to a table. It's really quaint here. The staff is super friendly." Hats off to the number of guests! The food came quickly, which we also received as a nightcap: Two bottles were placed on the table, along with two glasses. That was really cool and something I'd never experienced before. The prosciutto pizza wasn't really that good, but my pasta was, hence my stars. We didn't get the table because of the reservation, but because there were two of us and we were being brazen. Too bad, then you shouldn't offer that.

We were there last week! Super orijinal atmosphere, very nice staff! They know multiple languages which is really useful 😅 but pizzas , we tried 6 different ones and every one of them was delicious. Strongly recommended also the desserts 🔝 just a reminder you have to get a reservation but it will be worth it 👍🏻

As always, excellent pizza. The long waits are worth it! It's just the way it is that the wait can be very uncomfortable and stressful, and the lack of space doesn't make it any better. The overall service is excellent considering the capacity!

Huge but beautifully thin pizzas sometimes with different or unusual ingredients. We were very satisfied. At the end there was a nightcap on the house. The impression is only marred by the always full shop with very small and narrow tables. There were already many people waiting in the hallway and outside for tables to become available.

We had reserved, but then still had to stand in the hallway with many other guests and wait for an indefinite period of time. The reservation was basically ignored. Then we just left.

I know how good the food is at Luigis and that's why we wanted to end our Hamburg trip there with the six of us. We reserved well in advance! But if you have to wait over an hour to get a seat, I don't see the point of making a reservation. We then decided on a Portuguese restaurant, which was more than competitive in terms of the quality of the food and, above all, the service was fantastic!!! Too bad.....

Reserved for 5pm, waited outside for 1 hour!!!! That doesn't work at all! And that with 3 over 70 year olds!!! I won't give up a reservation for that. If the time is so outrageously overstated, you don't need to take reservations. The pizza was delicious, as always, the staff was nice. But you didn't really feel welcome and you felt rushed, it was far too loud, there were already guests waiting in the hallways and everywhere, waiting for a free table. We won't be coming back any time soon.

Pure disaster! We made reservations at 6:30 p.m. and there were 40-50 people standing in front of the restaurant who made reservations before us. Some people had already been standing in front of the restaurant for 1.5 hours. It was completely ignored whether you had a reservation or not, everyone was accepted. The restaurant was simply completely overbooked and one by one people left. Absolutely no recommendation for how you were treated there.

A reservation is of no use here, as you still have to wait in line and then the tables are filled by chance. The owners don't care at all - enough customers come anyway

If I could review the food I would BUT despite having a reservation we waited for sooooo long and never got a table. The service had no overview of who was waiting the longest among the people WITH reservations.

Not worth the money. We had reserved a table for four at 8 p.m. and got a very small table at 8:45 p.m. The spaghetti carbonara was dry and poorly seasoned. The pizza was okay. You're just rushed off here; the champagne is already waiting for those waiting. It's far too crowded and loud. Find another restaurant; there are plenty nearby.

The pizza came with a small stone which I bit on. When confronting the waitress about it she just laughed and turned away. A prime example for bad service. I would highly advise anybody to think twice before going here.

Unfortunately, no longer recommended... We had four carbonaras. Once with tagliatelle, which were swimming in uncured egg and pasta water. Twice with penne, which was bone dry, and once with spaghetti, which was okay. Unfortunately, none of them came with the cream and cheese sauce as described on the menu. The menu also says vodka with energy drinks costs €6, which was a bit surprising... They actually deducted €12. The service was okay, but not exactly friendly. Unfortunately, after several visits, this is the last time for us.

Unjustified eviction: We arrived at 5 p.m. and were given a table. At 6:03 p.m., we were told we had to leave because the table had been reserved since 6 p.m. We ate and drank the whole time and were still in the middle of our cocktails... They could have planned better, given us another table, and at least given us a 15-minute warning. A shame. Unfortunately, we won't be back.

This Italian restaurant was recommended to us by several people, so we reserved a table at 6 p.m. for our anniversary and arrived full of anticipation. We were quickly disappointed. Firstly, we had to mention several times that we had a reservation - then we were put in a corridor between the toilets and the kitchen with 10 other people who had been randomly invited in, where we waited standing for 35 minutes. Here too, people were shown to tables based on group size and not on reservations, so two people who arrived after us got one straight away because they had a better spot. After 45 minutes and several requests, we were about to leave when, in a very hectic and stressed manner, we finally got a table for two. The place feels more like a breakfast place and is completely overrated. Even though the pizza was delicious and came quickly, I wouldn't recommend it during peak times - there are better, quieter alternatives.

Went there with 11 people and apart from the saltimbocca, everything came at the same time. The pizza was really very good and there was also delicious wine. Very friendly service and a few Sambuca to finish. A nice evening. It was a bit tight though…

We wanted to eat pizza last Saturday. The pizza has been excellent every time I've been there. Unfortunately, we didn't get to enjoy it at all, as despite having a reservation, we would have had to wait in line for at least 20-30 minutes.

Reservation by phone was rejected, only by email. which I did.- no response- so 2 days later personal reservation. 5 p.m. for 4 people When we arrived we were told we only had 2 hours. why not communicated beforehand? We were given a table that was far too narrow. The whole place is loud and cramped. But what really annoyed us was that our complaint was dismissed with complete disinterest. Our conclusion: never again... there is no longer any need to respond to the guest here.

Terribly bad service to the customer. Reserved a table at 8 p.m., had to wait 15 minutes while the staff told you to sit in a corner and wait. Then, after waiting too long, placed in a much too busy, crammed feeding hall, where there is no atmosphere or personal care. We got up shortly afterwards and left, to the Porto restaurant, right next door. We were well received there and had a delicious meal. Strongly recommended!

After a short wait (with a glass of champagne) we got a table in the (requested) back area. We ordered pizza and lasagna; Both came relatively quickly and the portions were very large. Likewise the dessert (tartufo di chocolate). We found the interior of the restaurant very nice and cozy. The staff was very friendly; despite numerous and sometimes impatient guests. Finally there was an Italian liqueur on the house. In terms of price, Luigi's is on the higher end. Nevertheless we will come back.

We were at Luigi's on a Saturday afternoon, so the pizzeria was very busy. After about 5 minutes of waiting, we got a good table in the front area of ​​the restaurant. We ordered a four cheese pizza, which was huge as usual and absolutely delicious. The price-performance ratio is great here, I think you can easily share a pizza between two people. A family (2 adults and 3 children) from Harz had reserved a table for a few weeks and unfortunately couldn't get in. First there is a long queue outside, then inside (still time reservations). The children didn't feel like waiting anymore because they were very hungry.

I had reserved 4 days in advance for 2 people. When we arrived, the restaurant was completely full and 15 people were waiting in the narrow passage. A reservation makes no sense. As a customer, you are a number.

Tischreservierung ging via WhatsApp Ein Tisch wurde reserviert für 18 Uhr 6 Personen Man kam im Laden an, konnte sich ein Glas Sekt oder Saft nehmen und stellte sich mit 10/15 anderen Leuten in einen langen Schlauch mit lauter Musik direkt neben den Toiletten, wo alle Kellner durchmustern. Wartezeit 40 min Pizza war super Man sitzt aber sehr eng an den Tischen Nach dem wir gegessen hatten, wurde nach Nachtisch gefragt und wir verneinten. Wir wollten bezahlen und danach in Ruhe austrinken. Und wurde dann gesagt, das wir gehen sollten, da der Tisch demnächst belegt werden sollte. Es gab noch Grappa aufs Haus, aber das war’s. Danach dann wieder durch den Schlauch, der auch wieder mit neuen Gästen gefüllt war, hindurch quetschen ..

Unbefriedigendes Verhalten seitens des Personals und Betriebs.. leider noch nie erlebt, dass man trotz Reservierung am Vortag wirklich 52 Minuten auf seinen „reservierten“ Tisch warten muss UND das Warten fand im Flur statt mit ca. 20 weiteren wartenden Gästen.. man wird vom Personal angemeckert, weil man im Weg steht, allerdings liegt dort die Schuld nicht bei den Gästen. Es kam dann nach 52 Minuten ein freier Tisch, den wir dann nachdem wir unser Essen bekommen haben wieder aufgeben mussten und samt Pizzen und Getränke zu einem anderen Tisch hin verwiesen wurden. Die Kirsche auf der Sahnetorte war, dass man diese unzufriedenenstellenden Umstände angesprochen hat, jedoch nicht drauf eingegangen wurde, im Gegenteil es wurde gesagt „ich ziehe die Schürze nachher aus und bin fertig mit der Arbeit, egal wie’s hier läuft“. Fand ich wirklich sehr schade, da man in Hamburg an einem Samstag Abend nicht einfach nochmal spontan einen Tisch für 4 Personen bekommt… die Pizza war trotzdem lecker.

The food is excellent and despite being overcrowded the waiters are friendly. Reservations are not taken so seriously. You still have to wait a long time to get your table, but it's worth it.

Despite reservations, a super long queue forms, the tables are then allocated randomly and you wait a really long time to be served or pay. We were there on a Saturday around 8pm, which is of course one of the busiest times. In principle, I completely understand if there are waiting times. But if the entire reservation system doesn't work at all, people who arrive much later are served first, no one in the service department is friendly and you generally feel like you're a nuisance - that somehow doesn't fit at all. Luigi’s will continue to run anyway, but I won’t be coming anymore. Too bad!

Sehr leckere Pizza; leider versteht man nicht, wofür Reservierungen da sind; haben eine 3/4 h trotz Reservierung auf einen Tisch warten müssen; danach gut eine 3/4 Zeit zum Essen gehabt, als man uns gebeten hat, den Tisch schnell frei zu machen; es würden noch viele Gäste auf einen Tisch warten; wir werden sicherlich nicht wieder kommen, auch wenn es schade ist um das wirklich leckere Essen

Best pizza in Hamburg and that's no exaggeration. Today I went to another Italian restaurant and the pizza was a joke in comparison. Luigi's simply delivers good food, I hope it stays that way forever. Short addendum: The server was very rude today. There was a constant subliminal attempt to embarrass us because the waitress didn't want to see that we just wanted a pizza. The pizza is huge and easy to share. That's why there was no tip. Impudence!

Very tasty and large pizza. We were lucky that a table just became available, so I would recommend a reservation. The shop has a very interesting design, but the tables are very close together, which gives you the feeling of sitting at the same table as the next table.

The service was deplorable, a waiter literally scolded us for not having a drink considered minimal and suggested we go to the bar across the street. The food was delicious but I don't think it was worth it after the treatment received.

The pasta was really very raw... the tomato sauce tasted like the untreated pureed tomatoes from the tetra pack. The store used to be much better and the staff was much friendlier... I'm really very disappointed. I actually tried it here several times because my wife also said come on, it could also be because she had a bad day, however, we are very disappointed almost no matter what dish we tried, from tortellini ala pana to a simple pomodoro … never again..

After a moment of joy, we realized that the line wasn't over yet, but that around 30 other guests were waiting for their tables in a narrow hallway that was constantly crossed by waiters with music that was way too loud. Best pizza in Hamburg! You should 100% go and try the pizza al capo. Tiramisu was also great :) Looking forward to eating there next time im back in the city.
