Schwindt's Restaurant...it was only very late in my discovery of this small, exquisite vaulted restaurant. Nevertheless, I quickly learned to appreciate it greatly. For me, this restaurant is a place of well-being and enjoyment. Everyone on the team contributes equally to this. From the atmosphere of the vaulted ceiling, decorated with attention to detail, to the attentive, respectful service, and, of course, the excellent dishes – you can feel the dedication in everything. Be proud of this great achievement and keep your time here in Dresden in good memory.
I am grateful for every evening I was able to spend here.
I wish you all the best for the future.
Great restaurant with authentic Italian cuisine! I haven't had such a good Italian restaurant in the area in a long time. The pizza base is homemade, let rise for a long time, and is very fluffy. The pasta has the perfect consistency, the sauce is fresh, and the flavors are bursting with flavor. The service is also very friendly, but not intrusive. A definite recommendation!
A restaurant that stands out!
We spontaneously got a table for three and received a very warm welcome.
The menu isn't extensive but very varied.
The dishes were exceptionally well-crafted, but there were a few minor flaws.
Towards the end, it was a bit difficult to get the attention of the waiters.
It would be nice to have different dishes for each person with the Chef's Choice menu.
The interior design is truly perfect. There's enough space for everyone, but you don't feel lost. Everything has a consistent style, but it doesn't feel over-designed.
The cleverly placed aluminum panels were a very positive feature.
All in all, we had a very good evening.
We had dinner on Friday, October 10th.
Excellent! Small, quaint restaurant.
The shoulder of pork could be cut off with a fork. A knife was only needed for the rind. Roast lamb was a dream. The sauerbraten was perfectly cooked.
Our vegetarian companion was also easily accommodated: spaghetti with a Parmesan cream sauce. Delicious, of course.
Suddenly, "Mutti" from the kitchen appeared at our table. Man, you can't eat that dry, you need sauce. Bam, there was a jug of sauce on the side.
Friendly and chatty hosts.
In any case, we were absolutely satisfied with the evening.
The only problem is, the menu isn't available online. We looked at the pictures from other guests' posts. Definitely worth a visit. Make a reservation...
You probably won't find better pizza for that price. Unfortunately, it's now closed on Sundays, which is such a classic day for lounging on the couch and ordering pizza. Also, be aware that there are only a few picnic tables outside on the median strip. In the summer, it's best to eat your pizza on the nearby banks of the Spree River, and in the winter, it's better to take it home.
In short: incredibly delicious and very affordable pizza, and that's what really matters.
★★★☆☆
We went to Thai Aroma without doing any research beforehand, expecting more Thai cuisine. In fact, the food has a strong Vietnamese flavor. The noodle soup is more reminiscent of pho than guay tiew, and the chicken is the same as the satay skewers, including the marinade. It's not bad food, but it's not what you'd expect from authentic Thai cuisine.
If you want to eat absolutely delicious goulash in a quaint location with original staff...there's nothing better. I simply love the place. I've only managed to eat there twice so far, but I'll definitely go again.
