Radisson Blu Hotel, Rostock in Rostock

We were in town for one night, and our children treated us to a one-night stay. We were thrilled with the modern amenities of the hotel and the rooms, as well as the central location at Kröpeliner Tor. The breakfast was excellent; we've never had so many egg variations in the morning. Contrary to expectations, I didn't sleep very well on the very hard mattress, but they say they can provide an extra bed for our next visit upon request. It was also a shame that we couldn't use the sauna despite the late checkout until 3 p.m., as the wellness area doesn't open until 4 p.m. during the summer. We received a hassle-free refund for the late checkout, as we couldn't use it. It's great how they respond to guests' requests and criticisms. We'd be happy to come back. See you soon.

Room is clean. Too bad there’s no complimentary bottled water in the room. Maybe because they provide free refreshment at the lobby (bottled water, chocolate, fruit (banana/apple). It’s available after lunch. The location is also very convenient.

I was upgraded to a family room, which I highly recommend. It's very spacious, beautifully furnished, and simply beautiful. The entire hotel has a truly beautiful interior. The staff is extremely friendly. This isn't something you'd expect any more!

If you want a carefree stay, don't book at this hotel. At checkout, they say you still have to pay for the night, even though you indicate you had already done so when booking. The receptionist said that due to the takeover, all their information is incorrect and if the payment is double, they will refund it to the customer. Don't hand over your credit card, because they'll just charge all the unexplained amounts to you. After eight phone calls, four emails and two weeks later we finally got our money back. No apology or compensation for the time we spent sorting out their paperwork. Again, don't book this hotel if you want a carefree stay, because you'll have plenty of hassles after staying at this hotel.

A truly beautiful hotel. The service was extremely friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was more than excellent (a very large selection). Our room was both clean and very well-equipped (simple and modern, yet also comfortable).

A really cool hotel. Great location. Amazing staff. Amazing breakfast. Nothing really to deduct, but the fact that Jeeves, the autonomous room service, serves drinks that are more than 30 days out of date isn't nice. So it's always best to check quickly, and if something's wrong, follow Jeeves to reception, where they'll give you immediate replacements, even if the stock was still full of expired drinks. Nevertheless, we'll definitely be back.

This hotel in Rostock is amazing! It used to be a Radisson Blu, but now operates under the new name Scan Hotels. The rooms are spacious and have a very high standard of amenities. You absolutely have to book breakfast, because the quality and selection are unbeatable! The location is also sensational, right on the boulevard and the pedestrian zone. It's only a 3-minute walk to the city harbor. It couldn't be better. I unreservedly recommend this hotel. If you're in Rostock, this is the place to go.

Nice place to stay, spacious room, good service

Only one star since the new operator. I often travel to Rostock for business and have always stayed at the Radisson Blu Rostock. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. I've also been able to take advantage of many benefits through my Rewards loyalty program. Now I wanted to book again in Rostock and was shocked to discover that it's no longer a Radisson. And what's even worse is that you can only book the rooms for two people, which makes staying there impossible for business travelers. We were also planning to hold our meeting in the fall. But that's no longer possible. I would already give this new operator only one star.

This modern hotel is beautifully located on the Rostock harbor. Its proximity to the tram makes it easily accessible by public transport. An underground parking garage is available for guests arriving by car. Guests will be greeted by friendly, highly motivated, and competent staff. The rooms are very spacious and clean and offer air conditioning, a minibar, a coffee machine, and very comfortable beds. The breakfast is very extensive and leaves nothing to be desired. The Kai40 restaurant offers a fantastic menu, including some unusual dishes. Be sure to visit and try something you wouldn't normally order. You're sure to be pleasantly surprised. The rooftop bar is worth a visit; cocktails and other drinks invite you to a relaxing evening with a fantastic view of Rostock harbor. The staff in all departments are very attentive and helpful. You can tell they enjoy working here.

It's difficult to maintain a good hotel these days. The amount of staff needed to run a hotel of this category usually means losses. Small criticism: during my visit, a Bundesliga (football) team was staying at the same time. An assistant coach wanted an espresso at breakfast, but was ignored by the waiter. On the other hand, as a guest, I also experienced the hierarchical structure of the Sunday breakfast staff. This cannot be allowed. Employees, even those in training, must not be dissed in front of guests. This can be worked on in two or three training sessions; every guest who stops coming is a loss. As I worked in the restaurant/hotel industry for a long time myself, I ask that you take this seriously, because otherwise the hotel is sensationally well run. And definitely worth a visit, even if there are no longer paper newspapers for breakfast.

High price, construction site in front. Breakfast was good, but there could be more fish options. The city tax in Rostock is also ridiculous; they even charge for the day of arrival.

A very nice, clean and modern hotel. The location is perfect for excursions as public transport is just a minute away and is included with the tourist card which you receive when you stay overnight. The pedestrian zone is also within two minutes, making it easy to leave the car in the underground garage. The hotel itself is simply perfect...modern, unusually large rooms and very comfortable beds, plus finally wardrobes where you can even store your clothes. The cleaning was perfect. We absolutely love the breakfast with its high-quality products, delicious coffee, and very friendly staff. In the evening, you can enjoy an excellent meal in the hotel restaurant and then say goodnight to the sun with a drink on the roof terrace. The lovely little touches like fresh water and small snacks in the foyer are also very nice. In short, we think it's wonderful here and wish you all the best under our own name, Scanhotel. P.S. The employees with whom we spoke about the switch from Radison to Scan (simply out of interest) are happy about the independent start to become even more regional, and so are we...Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

Highly recommended hotel in the immediate vicinity of Rostock's old town. The location is perfect for both public transport and car journeys. The modern and well-maintained rooms are perfect for a relaxing stay (very comfortable beds, good soundproofing), and the lobby and bar are inviting places to relax. We received a very friendly welcome at reception and felt very comfortable throughout our entire stay!

Even though I arrived late, I was greeted with a warm welcome from the reception. Everything was clean, stylish, and perfect. I would recommend it to others.

Simply wow. The service here is very important, and we've stayed at many hotels, but the breakfast at this hotel is simply world-class. There's something for everyone, whether vegan, lactose-intolerant, or anything else. The rooms were very clean, and the view of the harbor, both day and night, is simply unbelievably beautiful. Also worth mentioning is the spacious, large parking garage. This hotel is definitely among our top 10.

We were at the Scan Hotel for the Hanse Sail. Wow, what a fantastic hotel! Everything was just perfect. The room was beautiful. The staff was very friendly and their every wish was fulfilled! The breakfast was exceptional, as were the dishes in the restaurant. The bar with its delicious cocktails and fantastic views of the harbor. The sun terrace, the wellness area, and the fitness room were fantastic. You feel at home here and can enjoy your vacation. Highly recommended. We'll be back.

You saved our vacation. After a huge disappointment in Stralsund, we received pure luxury and service at its finest. A fantastic hotel, even for people with disabilities and wheelchair users.

We were quite shocked that the "Radisson Blu" had now become the "ScanHotels City" – but after a short but wonderful stay, we're reassured. It was wonderful to see all the familiar and friendly faces again – including at Kai40! We received a fantastic room upgrade; a heartfelt thank you to the reservationist for that. We're looking forward – as always – to our next stay.

Magnificent hotel! I have been visiting the Radisson Blu Hotel Rostock for two years and have always been extremely satisfied with my stays. The staff are consistently friendly, polite, and helpful. The rooms are incredibly comfortable, cozy, and modern. Parking is easily accessible and secure. The breakfast buffet at the KAl restaurant is exceptionally rich, flavorful, and offers a satisfying, nourishing start to the day. As a Radisson Rewards member, I've also enjoyed additional thoughtful touches like warm welcome letters, room upgrades, and complimentary refreshments.

New name (Scan Hotel), at least as good as before in terms of service and food. What was particularly noticeable was that there was always plenty of staff on hand, which kept waiting times short. The room was modern and clean, and the breakfast buffet was above average for this hotel category. The rooftop bar is open until 1:00 a.m., offering great views and good drinks.

The rooms here are really nicely furnished. The shower is stocked with shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner, and the sink has soap and body milk. You can make coffee and tea in the room, and there's a small refrigerator. Unfortunately, there's no balcony, but you do get a good view. You can watch regular TV and tune into radio stations. The best part is that you can scan a QR code on the TV and play media (apps like Netflix, Spotify, YouTube, Google, and Google Photos) if you have them on your phone. You don't have to enter any data; you're connected directly and can play whatever you want. If you order something to eat or drink in your room, a robot automatically comes up in the elevator and brings it to your door. The spa and fitness area is on the 7th floor. The spa area is really nice; there are various steam baths and relaxation rooms where you can lie on a lounger and enjoy the view, and there's also a lovely roof terrace. Unfortunately, there's no pool. There's an underground parking garage, from which you can take the elevator directly to the respective floors. The lobby has a nice bar and plenty of seating. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here and would happily come back.

Very well-located hotel in a relatively quiet location. Very friendly staff. Nice and clean rooms, with a view of the harbor. Excellent breakfast buffet! Nothing is left to be desired. Only the egg cook (an older woman) was in such a bad mood. You simply shouldn't let someone like that loose on the guests.

Located not far from the city harbor and has a parking garage and is located directly on the pedestrian zone, very central.

Radisson Blu standard. Very good. Many good shops nearby. I stayed there for a week; it was quiet despite the construction (see photo). The room had air conditioning, which is important for me in the summer. The mattress and bed were very comfortable, almost like home. The underground parking garage and parking spaces were spacious, even for SUVs, a rarity these days. I'm very satisfied.

The best part is the delicious, very filling breakfast, but the rest is also good. As a member, you get two free bottles of water in your room and sometimes even water for the walk home. The price of the electric car charging could be a bit more attractive... In any case, we always enjoy coming back here for a short visit to the Baltic Sea...

Beautiful hotel! The room was clean and spacious. We liked the spa the most – it's quiet and not too crowded. The hotel is located in the center, with many cafes and shops nearby. A perfect place for a relaxing weekend. I would love to stay there again.

We stayed at the Radisson Blu in May. It was immediately noticeable that the hotel was relatively new: everything was clean and extremely modern. The rooms were also simply but stylishly furnished. The gym was well-equipped with branded Technogym equipment, great! However, the faucet was broken, and pieces of the activated carbon filter were leaking into the water; this needs to be addressed. Breakfast was great, but it was completely overcrowded; there wasn't enough space. The staff were mostly nice, but at breakfast, there were a few who were short of breath, looked stressed, and weren't friendly. The location is great with quick access to the city and the harbor. All in all, a good hotel; we'd happily come back for a short city break.

Terrible beds. Don't know if we got a bad family room but be careful when booking. Rock hard beds. Didn't sleep a wink last night. How can you have such hard beds? My body aches. Terrible

A hotel that is perfectly located in a very nice city!

Since we're currently experiencing the complete opposite at a Radisson Blu in Oslo, we have to give it 5 stars. A wonderful, fantastic hotel, as you'd expect, super friendly, welcoming staff, wonderful cribs, superb quality, high safety standards – in comparison, the Radisson Blu in Alna Oslo is absolutely terrible. We're absolutely shocked right now after our wonderful experience in Rostock.

The hotel is centrally located. It has a lovely wellness area with saunas and a terrace with loungers. It's ideal for a short stay in Rostock.

We stayed at the Radisson Blu Hotel from June 19th to 21st, 2025. The hotel has an underground car park for €17 per day, with direct access to the hotel. We checked in at reception without any hassle! The staff there are very friendly and competent. The lobby is beautifully designed; we immediately felt welcome. Then we went up to our room. Great! 28 square meter room and so beautifully decorated. The bathroom was really nice. Everything was so new and clean. We had a hotel bar upgrade. Free cold drinks! Cheers! We asked at reception how to get to Warnemünde without a car. No problem; the staff member was so quick and helpful in giving us advice, including a map of Rostock! By the way, the bus stop is right outside the door. A shopping center and a shopping street are right next to the hotel. In the evening, we had something delicious to drink in one of the bars! There's also a rooftop bar with a view of the ships. A sauna and fitness room are also available. The breakfast, what can I say, is unbeatable, and the staff are so friendly. You can choose between breakfast in the air-conditioned Kai 40 Restaurant or on one of the two breakfast terraces! We spontaneously wanted to extend our stay for another day, but unfortunately, everything was fully booked. But the nice lady at reception said we could be put on a waiting list, and if anyone canceled, she would call us, how sweet! So, a great hotel, we'll definitely be back.

From the perspective of a frequent traveler and guest of high-class hotels, or rather, those who claim to be: Shower: Water doesn't drain Minibar: Broken, drinks warm 5:15 PM Steam bath in the sauna area: Cold Sauna, wet area: Definitely not cleaned, open for an hour, and it looked like someone had been having a party. The hotel allows guests to permanently block the few loungers in the relaxation area. 🙄 Bathrobes: Not in the room; you have to get them at reception. Check-in and out: A real investment of time, despite club membership and online booking. There's typing, printing, scanning, phone calls, signatures being collected, tourist tax being charged, and... simply not up to date. Mediocre value for money...

Stayed here for 2 nights in a harbour view room on the 6th floor. Good size room, very clean and well presented. Lacks some small niceties which mean one star deducted - no tissues, body lotion, minimally stocked mini bar. Small things but which are important to some guests. Ate a pleasant meal in the restaurant , substantial breakfast offered. No time to use the fitness room or sauna. Ideal location for all the attractions of this small pleasant city. All staff very pleasant and professional.

Our visit to Kai 40 at the Radisson Blu in Rostock was an absolute highlight. The excellent cuisine delighted us with creative and perfectly balanced dishes – a true treat for the palate. We would especially like to emphasize the competent service. The staff were always courteous, attentive, and warm, making us feel completely at home. A huge compliment to the entire team! The rooms are modern, clean, and furnished with great attention to detail. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. But what truly makes this hotel stand out is the team: so warm, attentive, and professional – something you rarely experience. We were guests at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Rostock for the first time and were absolutely thrilled! Our room was super large and spacious. The service was first-class, extremely courteous and friendly. We especially have to mention the friendly lady Ina at the reception. With her pleasant manner and her great tips about Rostock, she really made our weekend special☺️ The gym was also really well-equipped. The food was also really delicious 🥤 In summary, we had nothing to complain about and will definitely book the hotel again next time! 🙏🏻

Yes, everything is always great

Beautiful hotel, great location. The wellness and fitness area is in need of repair. Visitors have no access to running water or running water, instead drinking from the hand basin, the toilet, or the foot bath. The hotel describes the outage on a laminated sign, but does not provide a remedy.

I was booked as a DJ for an anniversary at the Radisson Blu Rostock in May 2025. Even as a service provider, I was treated just as warmly and courteously as every single guest. The arrangements in advance and the communication regarding the program and process also ran smoothly and in an exemplary manner. I would like to say a big thank you to Andrea Jesse and her team, who not only gave me a wonderful evening, but also the hosts and guests. I look forward to seeing you again. Finally, I can only recommend that you put the Radisson Blu on your shortlist for celebrations of all kinds.

Simply great – our third visit to the Radisson Blu Rostock! This is our third time at the Radisson Blu in Rostock – and every time it is an absolute highlight! The location directly on the Warnow with a view of the harbor is fantastic, the rooms are modern, stylish and sparkling clean, and the breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired. A very special thank you goes to Kristin from the service team, who once again made our stay better with her friendly, warm manner and attentive service. It is a real gem and contributes significantly to making us feel completely comfortable every time.
