Instead of driving in the city traffic, we can take the bus to the center in 12 minutes. Everything is very clean, and the staff seems happy because the service is top-notch. And the breakfast buffet is 25-30 meters long! The price-performance ratio is excellent. The room could even be more expensive. The room design shows a lot of creativity and care. Booked for one night, everything was great and comparatively inexpensive. A lot of attention to detail had been put into the interior design, and it was clean. The parking situation was a bit tight when we arrived.

The hotel is located in an industrial park, which has the advantage of ample parking. The old town is a 12-minute bus ride away. It's probably a 25-minute walk to the thermal baths if you know your way around the transfer point; we missed our connection and it took us an hour. Admittedly, the fastest way is by car. There are several restaurants within walking distance. The lobby is very nicely designed, with a bit of a furniture store feel, but in a good way. Water and tea are always available free of charge. The room with the sauna was very pretty, inviting, and perfect for relaxing. The infrared sauna heats up quickly, and two people can sit side-by-side; lying down isn't possible, but it's very comfortable for one person. The shower and toilet are separate. You can enjoy your first coffee in bed in the morning, as there's a capsule coffee machine in the room. The breakfast buffet offers a very wide selection, and the breakfast room is beautifully designed, with greenery to help separate the tables. There's a small bar, but we didn't try it. The staff is friendly and helpful. We'd gladly come back.

Don't let the exterior fool you! We can absolutely recommend this hotel! It's very tastefully and lovingly decorated. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired. Cocktails are served at the bar in the evenings, and meals are available in the restaurant. The bus lines are nearby, and you can reach the city center quickly and easily without changing buses. We would love to come back again. Thank you!

Located slightly outside of Konstanz, but still easily accessible by public transport, parking directly at the hotel is €10 per day, or free parking is available on the street, super friendly staff, large, very clean rooms, large shower, fast Wi-Fi, exceptionally good breakfast!

Aqua Hotel, an experience from booking to departure. I've rarely had such a pleasant contact from booking onwards, who left nothing to be desired right up until departure. The breakfast was more than perfect; nothing was missing. We "only" had the standard rooms, and even these were so lovingly furnished and very clean. We knew the location in advance, but everything was quickly accessible and easily doable thanks to the included public transport tickets! Thank you so much for a wonderful, spontaneous weekend in Konstanz! We'll definitely be back!

The hotel is rather inconspicuous from the outside and is located in an industrial area. However, this has the advantage of a large parking lot right in front of the hotel, for which a very reasonable fee is charged. Since the city center of Konstanz can be reached by bus in about a quarter of an hour, and the ticket is provided free of charge by the hotel, the not-so-central location is irrelevant. We received a very warm welcome from the young man at the reception desk. He gave us some restaurant recommendations and even reserved a table for us. Our room on the second floor was comfortably furnished. There was a very comfortable bed, a large TV, a refrigerator with two bottles of water, a Nespresso machine with four capsules, and a safe. Everything was clean and tidy, and there were no additional charges for drinks. We didn't notice any of the main road near the hotel in our room (with the window closed). The excellent breakfast buffet is also particularly noteworthy; it truly leaves nothing to be desired and is something I wouldn't have expected in this category of hotel and haven't experienced anywhere else before. All in all, highly recommended! We only stayed one night, but we could easily imagine a longer stay. Many thanks to the entire team!

We ended up here on a concert tour with the orchestra and were absolutely thrilled! Highly recommended for a stay in Konstanz. We have never experienced such a magnificent breakfast buffet in any other hotel, and everything is of outstanding quality. A huge compliment to the hotel management and the staff, who were truly super friendly and fulfilled all our wishes. And a very warm welcome to the daughter of the hotel.

The value for money is decent. The hotel is located in an industrial area, and the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are in good condition and comfortable. However, there is a club nearby, and the music was very loud from 8 p.m. until checkout at 11 a.m. on Tuesday morning. Parking is €15 per night.

We stayed at the Hotel Aqua with our entire family in August 2025. It was an all-round successful stay. The hotel is located a bit outside the city center, but public transport made it easy to get there. The old town is a 6-8 minute drive or bus ride away. The individually designed ambience was particularly impressive. The rooms were welcoming, spacious, modern, and above all, clean. The staff were always friendly and very accommodating. The selection at the extensive breakfast buffet was particularly fantastic. There was nothing we wanted. We had children with us and even a person in a wheelchair. Everything was organized wonderfully, and everyone felt at home. Kudos to the entire hotel team—keep up the good work! We'll definitely be back!

Honestly, I've had much worse breakfasts in 5-star hotels. The breakfast buffet is truly outstanding, varied, lavishly prepared, and served in a pleasant atmosphere (nice decor, table spacing, no overcrowding). The staff is incredibly friendly. The rooms are fine. The bed was very comfortable, the furnishings aren't particularly high-quality, but I'm happy to overlook that. The location isn't particularly good, but parking is cheap, and there's a good bus connection (15 minutes to the Old Town).

What a surprise! In the middle of an industrial park, the former Chamber of Industry and Commerce building has been transformed into a surfer's paradise. The Aqua lives up to its name with its decor, right down to the beach chair in the breakfast room. Speaking of breakfast... There's nothing you can't find here! From 12 types of tea to 10 different cakes, freshly squeezed orange juice, sparkling wine, and much more... Great rooms, friendly service, and I'll be checking out the bar tonight!

Don't judge a book by its cover. The first impression is more like a 70s school building. And no less, in the middle of an industrial area... But as soon as you enter the building, you immediately have to revise your first impression. As on previous vacations, we booked a family room for three people. Our room was significantly larger than family rooms in well-known hotel chains. There were two large, comfortable double beds instead of the usual double bed and sofa bed. The room was top-notch and furnished to a high standard. There is nothing to complain about in terms of service. All the staff we came into contact with during our stay were very friendly, courteous, and helpful. The location also gets full marks from us. Yes, it is in an industrial area. But there is ample parking directly in front of the hotel. And precisely because it is located in an industrial area, it is very quiet after closing time. There are no party crowds, and there is no through traffic. We all received a free Lake Constance Card upon check-in, which also allows free use of public transport in Konstanz. The bus stop is a two-minute walk away. From there, you can take a leisurely bus ride to the old town or Mainau Island. And finally, breakfast. No hotel we've booked in Germany, even a well-known and more star-rated one, has come close to the selection and quality we were offered here. The hotel deserves four stars for the breakfast alone.

The hotel is rather unassuming from the outside, but it offers a great and reasonably priced place to stay in Konstanz. We were able to safely store our bikes in a bike storage room, and the best things about this hotel are a) the very friendly and attentive staff and owners, and b) the excellent breakfast! Hello, Welcome to a family-run hotel. I'm happy when people choose these hotels. Because these are also something special. It starts with the design. The siblings can't agree on carpeting, yes or no. I agree with the sister and should avoid it. That's why the interaction with the guests is so great. Here, you can tell that they're not just working, but that they're loved. It's interesting that it was very quiet here in the industrial area. The public transport system is easy to get around town; it's included in the guest card. A lot of things can also be reached on foot. So, all the best.

A good, family-run hotel. I can recommend the rooms on the 3rd floor as they have a balcony and are quiet. (Room 310 corner balcony) I extended my stay twice. The last time I extended my stay, only room 14 was available and it is a bit larger than the others as it is a senior citizens' room which is also easy to use with a wheelchair, walker, etc. What I noticed during my stay was that the rooms could be maintained a bit better (broken bedside lamp, creaking doors, loud extractor fan in the toilet, blinds loud when going up and down and a bit rattling). Unfortunately, I think I am a bit more specific than others. I reported it straight away and think it will be fixed quickly. The staff are always friendly and helpful; if there is anything, just let us know and we will help you. I didn't have breakfast and can't comment on that. I will try to get a room in this hotel again on my next visit to Lake Constance. As I said, I can highly recommend the hotel. Great, keep it up, Hotel Aqua! Many other hotels could learn a lot from you. Thank you for the lovely stay.

The hotel owners make every effort to ensure the well-being of their guests. The hotel is very nicely furnished. The breakfast buffet is first-class. Konstanz's old town is a 15-minute bike ride away.

Breakfast! It's also possible to just have breakfast there. I was invited to breakfast there and was delighted. From freshly squeezed orange juice, sparkling wine, or coffee, inside or outside, sweet or savory, English, German, or whatever, there was so much available until the end. If you can't find anything, you're doing it wrong. Everything that delights the heart and palate seems to be there, and is replenished by many busy hands at various long, well-maintained buffets in a tropical-looking setting. It was fantastic!

The Aqua Hotel in Konstanz is a gem among all the hotels. It's a family-run hotel with a very personal touch. From reception, through breakfast, to dinner (pizza menu + salad + burrata + two desserts). Everything is perfect – the breakfast leaves nothing to be desired, and it gets 6 out of 5 possible points. Not to mention the friendliness and helpfulness of Malte and Lara, as well as the rest of the team. It's extremely personal – Can, as the bartender and pizza maker in the evening (he was also involved at breakfast), was particularly outstanding. An extremely dedicated employee – we were thrilled. Breakfast was EXCELLENT in terms of both quality and selection. Especially considering the size of the hotel, the selection is astounding. The beds were comfortable and the quad room was very big. There was a secure lockup for our bikes. It was easy to get to from our cycling route, although there isn't a lot within a quick walk (we did have a nice evening at a beer garden that was close enough to walk).

You wouldn't expect to find such a lovingly designed, family-run hotel in an industrial district... you can feel the owners' heart and passion for their guests. We were a 10-minute walk from the waterfront and just a few minutes from the city center. We especially want to highlight the SENSATIONAL breakfast! What a fantastic selection! The staff was also remarkably friendly. We felt completely at home and would love to come back!

Almost excellent hotel. Why: only 2 minor things - hair conditioner flacon in the shower was empty. Fridge was not cooling sufficient (my beer=). All other the best: The BREAKFAST is EXCELLENT! Breakfast area we can recommend to relax! Decoration is (beach) holiday style. Well done. The bed a lot better than many 4*-hotels offer. Room is large. Parking is on the premises. Staff is more than willing to help. Free public transport ticket for the city and surroundings! You can leave the car at the hotel; in doing so have a beer in town.

A cobbled-together hotel with truly inferior amenities, and incredibly expensive. Just standing outside makes you want to leave. Anyone who writes such positive reviews has either never stayed in a decent hotel, or I highly doubt the reviews are authentic. The price/performance ratio is out of place here. The late check-in also only works to a limited extent. We had to wait outside until someone opened the door. Apparently, they forgot or overlooked that we had booked. I've increased the rating from 1 star to 3 stars because the breakfast is good and varied. I would recommend it.

It was ideal for arrival and departure. The free bus ticket is fantastic! We got off the wrong bus once, so we didn't have to stress about getting the wrong ticket or having to buy a new one.

The staff is extremely friendly and always happy to go out of their way to make your stay as memorable as possible. The bar is also very well decorated and has friendly, well trained staff. The breakfast room serves homemade pizza to order from 18:00- 22:00 Wednesday through Saturday. The breakfast availabilities include prosecco and fresh squeezed orange juice along with almost anything you could imagine eating for breakfast or brunch. The only minor negative point I can determine is…The bathroom could use some extra shelves for toiletries and cosmetic items. But otherwise zero complaints.

A family business with a certain something We stayed there for two nights. The charm of this hotel is immediately apparent upon entering the hotel. A warm family business with attention to detail. It's remarkable what they've conjured up from the factory building. A truly unique experience. The breakfast buffet blew us away in a positive way. Fresh fruit, pancakes, fried eggs, all kinds of spreads, antipasti, cheese, homemade cakes, and much more. The freshly squeezed orange juice rounded it all off. Thank you for the lovely stay, I definitely recommend it!

Good hotel room and absolutely fantastic staff. They helped with recommendations on transit and what to do as well as ordering a pizza over the phone for us with our limited German and the pizza place only speaking limited English. No in room air conditioning but wasn't hot enough to warrant it and the open windows and fan worked well. We opted for breakfast as part of our stay and it was delicious and well worth the fee. The only remotely negative point to be made would be the location to the city center was a little farther than desired. Luckily ample public transit was available but were we to visit again we would look for something closer. Not a condemnation of this hotel at all though as it was an excellent experience.

The hotel isn't centrally located, but you can reach the city center in just a few minutes on foot or by bike. It's ideal for an overnight stay on your Lake Constance tour. It's clean and modern, and not exactly eye-catching from the outside, but the breakfast is impressive throughout, with an incredible selection. We were very satisfied and would happily return! The free public transport ticket you receive during your stay is another big plus. (The only drawback is the dilapidated bathroom cabinet, which doesn't do justice to the overall ambiance, but that's not worth deducting.)

The value for money is excellent, the service is wonderful, the breakfast is delicious, and the rooms are superb.

I was visiting this hotel for the second time! This time with my wife and our child. We were delighted with the welcome and the general atmosphere of the hotel. Plus, the breakfast is truly amazing! We had a great time and will return!

Perfectly organized and very friendly

inexpensive, reliable and simply pleasant. You can, you even have to do it.

Fancy hotel. Location not so central, but bus stop and free day ticket for public transport. Pelin at reception is exceptionally friendly, helpful and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was very rich and fresh. The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable beds. Parking spaces are also available.

Very nice stay, the staff is very friendly and always helpful with questions. The breakfast is really excellent, there is really everything, from a normal snack (with home-baked bread) to muesli, egg variations, cakes, fresh vegetables and fruit, honey still in honeycombs that you can take out yourself, etc. The rooms are designed to match the theme of the hotel, but the light is a bit dim and some of the bathroom furniture unfortunately looks a bit old. Otherwise very modern room. For us, the location was perfect for being able to ride (bicycle) or walk in all directions. Because it's in an industrial area, the view isn't quite as nice, but you can cope with that.
