I was booked there as a DJ. Everything was just perfect. I highly recommend it.

I'm absolutely thrilled! The service was outstanding and everything even exceeded my expectations. The quality is top-notch, and you can immediately tell that customer satisfaction is a priority. Everything was quick, straightforward, and very professional. I can definitely recommend it and will gladly come back!

The other day we dined at Restaurant Theodor. There was something to celebrate, so we took the opportunity to visit this nearby restaurant. We were greeted by a friendly Italian waiter and shown to our table. A chalkboard with daily specials was provided for us to choose from, complementing the already extensive menu. We ordered a bottle of mineral water and a bottle of Austrian Blaufränkisch from the Strehn winery. For our main course, we ordered sirloin steak with French fries and Tutzinger schnitzel with fried potatoes. Both dishes came with a mixed side salad. For dessert, we chose the fruit tart and the pistachio duet. The sirloin steak was incredibly tender and cooked exactly to our requested rare doneness. The French fries were crispy and well-drained. The Tutzinger schnitzel had a crispy breading and was cooked to perfection. The accompanying fried potatoes were made from pre-cooked potatoes. Overall, the dish was very well prepared, although I have to deduct a point for the presentation. The mustard used with the schnitzel was a bit too sweet for my taste, the horseradish a little too mild, and the fried potatoes could have been crispier. The dish could have used a touch more salt. But that's just my personal preference and not necessarily a fault of the kitchen. The side salads were varied and well-dressed with a delicious dressing. We then had a different waiter, with whom we were also very pleased. Both waiters were very attentive and friendly. The fruit tart had a shortcrust pastry base topped with plum crumble, served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and berries. The pistachio duet consisted of a pistachio crème brûlée and a scoop of pistachio ice cream, also with berries. We would gladly visit Restaurant Theodor again.

Theodor was recommended to me by friends and I'm absolutely thrilled. The food was excellent and the service was very friendly and attentive. I've had bad experiences with younger staff in the past, but here I received great service from Kaya/Kaja. I'll definitely be back!

Top-notch! Always friendly service and a varied menu. The kitchen knows what it's doing and always manages to create something delicious for our taste buds. The staffing issues common in the restaurant industry are only occasionally noticeable. With a little understanding and the knowledge that everyone has to start somewhere, we're actually quite pleased to see young people being patiently and expertly introduced to the job!

First off, the ambiance was lovely with beautifully decorated tables. However, the tablecloth was incredibly dirty! Also very disappointing was the fact that the waitress (Kaya?) addressed us informally the entire time. That's completely unacceptable; I found it extremely rude. Furthermore, she tried to snatch my mother's glass right out of her hand while she was finishing her drink. Empty plates were also cleared away immediately, without even allowing us to swallow. Are we not even allowed to enjoy our food and drinks anymore? Outrageous, and that was the last time I'll be there!

We held our department Christmas party at Theodor, and this was my second time there for a company event – ​​both times it was absolutely fantastic. The food was exquisite and of a very high standard each time. This time, I was part of the organizing team myself, and I'd especially like to emphasize how wonderfully the staff catered to all our wishes and ideas. The coordination was incredibly straightforward and professional, and everything was implemented exactly as we had discussed. The venue is beautiful and incredibly comfortable – perfect for company celebrations. A particular highlight was the specially set up mulled wine hut for the reception, which immediately created a wonderful, festive atmosphere. Overall, a truly successful event. Many thanks to the entire team – we'd love to come back again!

The food was excellent, especially the duck, which was a real highlight. The kitchen staff worked very efficiently and to a high standard. Unfortunately, the service seemed overwhelmed. We had to wait quite a while at the entrance without being greeted or even acknowledged. Even after our meal, we weren't served again, although we would have liked to order dessert and more drinks. The food was definitely a positive aspect. However, the table service was disappointing and marred the overall experience.

We celebrated our wedding at Theodor, and it will remain a beautiful memory for us and our guests forever. In perfect weather, we had our reception on the rooftop terrace with a stunning view of the lake and the Alps, followed by a delicious meal in the restaurant and a relaxing evening at the bar. We would especially like to highlight the sensational service throughout the entire evening – we felt incredibly well taken care of. The planning for our big day was also completely straightforward, and all our wishes were accommodated. A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Baumann and the entire team! We will gladly return to Theodor for another meal.

We're frequent guests! The service is just as good as the food! We can recommend it 100%. The staff are also very child-friendly, and when the weather's nice, the terrace with its wonderful view of the lake is wonderful ♥️

Ein gemütliches Restaurant mit toller Atmosphäre. Das Menü war köstlich, die Weinempfehlung war stimmig. Aber auch mal an der Bar oder in der Lounge mit Freunden einen Cocktail trinken ist hier sehr gut möglich. Sogar auf besondere Wünsche, die nicht auf der Karte stehen, wird hier eingegangen. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und kommen auf alle Fälle wieder.

Today - unfortunately - was only there for the first time for Mother's Day brunch. Interior design - WOW! The food - sensationally good. Even the simplest boiled potatoes tasted so good - I think that says it all. Absolutely great taste! Evidence of a very good kitchen and crew! Keep it up! We'll definitely be back. Because if brunch tastes so good, how do the dishes a la carte taste?! Tiny deduction from the service - it took a long time for the plates from the previous course to be cleared away. But otherwise everyone, from the bar to the back of the kitchen, was super friendly, communicative and personable. Gastronomy and culinary delights are definitely fun.

We celebrated our birthday here in the SkyLounge with 64 guests. It was sensational! Max's service was absolutely perfect and extremely professional and courteous. The food was awesome!!! The location is an absolute hit!!! We believe there is no better partner for such celebrations in the area. Absolutely recommended!!!!! We will definitely celebrate here again!!!

The food was excellent. You sit very comfortably and slightly isolated thanks to the high backrests. The service was nice. We were served the wrong dish - luckily there were only slight differences, which is why no one noticed at first. A more expensive dish was accidentally served, which was then billed at a higher price. Overall we were very satisfied and had a lovely evening.

What was going on here?! The boss reprimanded the waitress violently, a mood to cry! We know the operation as a professional team - today under the thumb... :-( Otherwise always really great! But this boss is under all guns...

Very nice, stylish atmosphere. The food was very tasty. We once had a beef sirloin steak with sweet potato and a Schupfnudel pan. Very nicely presented and well prepared. In my opinion, a very good restaurant where customer satisfaction is very important, therefore five out of five stars for everything.

We are guests here very regularly. Always satisfactory and with super nice and good service. However, this evening the atmosphere was extremely bad. Staff were reprimanded several times in a very unpleasant manner in the presence of us as guests. The whole atmosphere in the restaurant and bar was noticeably tense for everyone. This is not how you treat your staff!

Wir kommen zwar nicht aus der Umgebung, aber bei einem Ausflug am Starnberger See, gehört ein Besuch im Theodor in Tutzing einfach dazu. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön - stilvoll, gemütlich und mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet. Man fühlt sich von Anfang an wertgeschätzt und der Service ist herzlich. Vor allem das Essen überzeugt uns aber jedes mal aufs Neue, egal ob Fisch oder Fleisch! Wir waren schon mehrfach hier (Die Bilder sind schon etwas älter) und sind immer wieder begeistert. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und können es an jeden Weiterempfehlen der in der Umgebung ist.

Es fängt schon mit dem schön eingedeckten Tisch an. Stilvolles Geschirr und stimmungsvolles Ambiente mit Outdoor Feuerfackeln inklusive. Der Service ist zuvorkommend, die Speisen sind sehr lecker und nicht überladen. Hier wird man gesättigt, aber nicht voll. Die Preise sind gehoben, man zahlt halt das Gesamtpaket. Trotzdem eine tolle Location.

The food was good, but considering the price and the standards that Theodor itself conveys, it was no more than that. The espresso at the end was no better than the one you get in any bakery at the main train station. Almost every good restaurateur now has a portafilter machine - but Theodor serves machine coffee, and it was only lukewarm. The service was disappointing. Compared to the level that Theodor sets, it's even below average. Yes, it was full, and yes, there were technical problems - but that doesn't change my overall picture. I had the impression that there was a two-class service at Theodor. It was striking that the employees often had time to chat at a few tables and we were asked exactly once if it tasted good. No question whether we would like water or wine after we had run out. Zero interaction. I found the situation when paying the bill particularly unpleasant: Instead of discreetly placing the bill in a pencil case on the table to be checked, the service employee stood next to me with the piece of paper in his hand and announced the amount so loudly that the table next door was also informed. It seemed more like a snack bar mentality than like fine dining. About the ambience: As is well known, taste can be debated. But I find paper tablecloths placed over fabric tablecloths to be cheap. I don't know of any upscale restaurants that work this way - not even to "protect" them from stains. All in all, I will give Theodor a second chance if I get the chance. However, for special occasions it is out of the question for me for the time being.

Was ist denn hier passiert? in einem der besten Lokale in Tutzing gibt's steinharte, dünne Schnitzel mit strohtrockener Panade, kaum zu schneiden, ungenießbar. Der Service völlig neben der Mütze und mit 2 oder 3 besetzten Tischen komplett überfordert. Kein Blick ringsum, ob vielleicht jemand was braucht. Pils dauert 20 Minuten, falls es nicht vergessen wird. Hoffentlich nur ein einmaliger Aussetzer!

Eine schönere Einstimmung zum Weihnachtsfest kann man sich nicht vorstellen. Brunch mit der ganzen Familie im Theodor. Sehr schönes Ambiente, hervorragendes Buffet kalt und warm, super Service. Ein herzliches Dankeschön dem gesamten Team. Wir kommen immer wieder gern

We organized a private event on the fourth floor, and it was perfect. In our case, it was a business event for 60 guests. The location is great, the terrace and the view are spectacular! The service was very professional and welcoming. Nothing was too much or a problem. Everything was resolved instantly with a smile. The catering was amazing. Great food offer: not only the variety but the high quality. If you want to impress your guests and enjoy your event yourself, choose this location! We all would recommend it for any other event.

We had a great evening in/on the Skylounge. Magnificent view of Lake Starnberg and the Alps. Of course this only works in great weather.

I recommend this restaurant 1000%!! The staff is very very welcoming and very kind. Especially since the dishes are very good, they even serve a small starter, for my part I ate a Pinsa which was very good and the prices are very reasonable. Nothing to complain about!

Die Speisekarte des Restaurants ist begrenzt, was die Auswahl einschränkt. Der Geschmack der Gerichte ist durchschnittlich, aber nicht herausragend. Der Service ist freundlich, aber nicht sehr aufmerksam. Die Weinflaschen werden nicht am Tisch, sondern an einem separaten Tisch aufbewahrt, was unpraktisch ist.

We went to Theodor for brunch on Easter Sunday. The dishes were very diverse, incredibly tasty and beautifully presented. The service was very friendly and quick and the piano player was just good. All in all a successful stay!

Oh Theodor, oh Theodor, you have a real addictive factor! We have been here several times and have never been disappointed - the atmosphere is nice, well-kept and, despite its modernity, cozy, you eat and sit at a good distance from the neighboring tables. The service is perfect in tone and attitude and the food is absolutely convincing despite the moderate prices! With Theodor, Tutzing has gained a very attractive address for fine dining - currently number 1 for us!

Entspannte Atmosphäre, sehr freundlicher, aufmerksamer Service. Das Buffet blieb über die gesamte Zeit reichhaltig, vielfältig und schön angerichtet, wirkte dabei aber nicht überladen. Tolle Küche mit viel Gemüse, Fisch und zartem Filet. Zusammen mit dem Klavierspiel im Hintergrund ein schönes Erlebnis.

Das Büffet war sehr gut, mit viel Auswahl und Qualität. Die Ambiente mit dem Pianist war sehr ansprechend.

Alles bestens, uns hat es super gefallen, Wein war sehr gut, die Maispoularde wirklich toll. Atmosphäre mit den Inseltischen sehr angenehm. Aber ein kleiner Kritikpunkt beim Schnitzel Wiener Art: Ein Kartoffelgurkensalat als Beilage PLUS einen Beilagensalat war mir zu "sauer" / bzw. kalt. Das Restaurant war ausgebucht und dennoch nicht lärmig - sehr angenehmes Ambiente. Die Speisen waren auf den Punkt frisch zubereitet, sehr lecker und kamen bereits nach kurzer Zeit. Der Service war herzlich und unaufgeregt - wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Natürlich passiert auch mal ein kleiner Fehler - auf ein zweites Glas mussten wir leider etwas warten, aber der Umgang damit war hochprofessionell, sodass ich nichts anderes als 5 Sterne geben kann. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Essen, Ambiente und Service top - jedoch war ich vom Kaffee sehr enttäuscht! Zu einem Alroundgusto gehört eine schhöne Siebträgermaschine und ein guter Espresso! Bitte unbedingt verbessern!!!! Macht das Ganze leider etwas schade!!! Guter Kaffee ist sehr wichtig!!!!

Das Essen und der Service sowie das Ambiente waren vorzüglich gerade als Weihnachtsessen. Leider hat mir der schlechte Espresso die Schuhe ausgezogen. Schade dass das nicht an Wichtigkeit verdient. Für mich ein NOGO! Normalerweise schaue ich mit vor dem Espresso die Maschine an, leider hatte ich es vergessen und nicht so schlecht erwartet. Vielleicht ändert sich das beim nächsten Besuch, wäre ein Traum!

Wieder mal durften wir sehr gutes Essen in angenehmer Atmosphäre genießen

Ein tolles Restaurant mit super Service. Wir haben unser Abendessen mit 8 Personen sehr genossen. Auch die Kinder (2 und 4 Jahre) hatten einen entspannten Abend mit kinderfreundlicher Auswahl. Das Ambiente ist sehr modern - dadurch allerdings etwas "kühl". Für uns war das o.k. Wir kommen wieder!
