We ate at Xiao Long Kan Hot Pot Restaurant with Chinese friends and were absolutely delighted. The ingredients were very fresh and high-quality, exactly as you would expect from an authentic hot pot. The service was quick, attentive, and consistently friendly. Add to that a great atmosphere where you immediately feel comfortable. A thoroughly enjoyable evening – we will definitely be back!

I am very dissatisfied with the service from the lobby manager. It was my first visit here with friends. The atmosphere in the main hall is very good, yet the lobby manager led us to a side room. On the way there, we had to walk through a corridor full of kitchen waste. There were industrial ventilation ducts above us, and a distinct smell of kitchen waste hung in the air. This left us with an extremely unpleasant feeling. I don't think something like that should happen.

The food was absolutely perfect. It was a real pleasure, and we're really looking forward to the opening of a branch in Cologne. We can hardly wait! A minor drawback was the chaotic reservation process and the rather long wait time despite having a reservation. (But it was definitely worth it!)

We had made a reservation and it was our first time there. The staff was very friendly and patiently explained everything to us beginners. You cook the food yourself in the provided broth. You can order various meat and vegetable side dishes via tablet. You can mix and match the sauces separately at a table. We enjoyed the food, although some things took some getting used to. You have to be aware that the meat is cooked, not fried. It's a new concept, and for us, trying it for the first time, it was a lovely evening. It's on the pricier side. Our children even received toys as a Christmas present! The tables are rather uncomfortable for taller people.

Great experience, nice for groups to share an evening on tables which are in kind of separate rooms. Good attention to gluten free, both from the staff and on the menu itself.

We were there for a medical meeting, so we arrived at that time. The venue is nice, the staff is friendly, and the service is fast. It's very different from my taste, but I liked it; we got the spicy and mushroom soup, the white and red meat dumplings, the chicken manti, and the homemade noodles.

Everything was perfect except for the tables, which are really only suitable for people under 1.50 meters tall. Sitting on them was quite difficult for taller people. We would gladly come again.

The dining area was larger than expected. The food service started slowly due to the unfamiliar concept, but once you get the hang of it, it works well and is very sociable. I unfortunately only tasted the 2-liter waxberry spritzer shortly before leaving, but it was very tasty. I'll definitely order it next time.

Recently, a food safety incident occurred in Düsseldorf, causing diarrhea in hundreds of people. Yesterday, after eating at Xiaolongkan with friends (two tables), all four of us got diarrhea on the way home. This food hygiene issue really needs to be addressed.

You should definitely arrive with a very empty stomach and allow yourself plenty of time to leisurely enjoy the variety. A visit here feels less like simply satisfying your hunger and more like a small adventure. It's also recommended to come with at least three people or more: This way, you can not only try a wider selection of dishes, but the overall social experience is also enriched many times over.

It's the best hotpot place in all of Germany, maybe even all of Europe. Yes, the prices are a bit higher, but you definitely get a lot here, whereas other places cut corners. The marbling is wonderful; it not only looks good but is also incredibly delicious. That shows just how high the quality is. As for the staff, my goodness, everything is fast, but you never feel rushed or pressured. Everyone is incredibly friendly. Since I was already familiar with hotpot, I didn't need any instruction, but I could see how they were patiently and carefully training other tables. Ultimately, I can only say this to future visitors: Make a reservation, because it's always packed, and for good reason!

I came to Xiaolongkan Hot Pot in Düsseldorf again for hot pot. Upon entering, I noticed a significant change in the decor; the chairs were more traditional and elegant, giving it a Chengdu, China feel. The broth was still very fragrant and spicy, very authentic. The beef tallow broth was completely different from what I buy in Chinese supermarkets. The selection was extensive, including many popular dishes among Chinese customers, as well as many items that foreign customers love, such as cheese rice cakes and various meatballs. It happened to be my friend's birthday today, and they even gave us a small surprise birthday dessert. The service was excellent. My top choice for hot pot in Düsseldorf! 👍👍👍

I’ve visited a few Hot Pot restaurants in Shanghai and Beijing. This place was as good as the ones I've been to in China. We really enjoyed our dinner. Everyone should try who likes Chinese cuisine.

It's hard to say whether it was the broth or the choice of dish, but we both felt a bit queasy afterward. We also found the restaurant quite expensive for what was offered. Furthermore, the smell in the restaurant, as well as from the food and broth, was very strong and took some getting used to. Even after washing our hair several times, the smell was still noticeable, and we even had to change the bed linens. Even after thoroughly airing out our apartment, the smell from yesterday's visit is still perceptible. Overall, unfortunately, this is not a restaurant we would recommend.

You can also order any second during the meal and overall takes away a lot of stress. The tablet is also quite and intuitive. They fill up the broth all the time and serve the ingredients super fast! And the sauce bars offer a lot of options. Another big plus is definitely the beautiful interior! The food is very tasty. All soup flavours were nice and the vegetables super fresh. As it is very famous, it took me several attempts and calls to get a table on a random Wednesday- so I would suggest you to make a reservation a few days before, if you don’t want to get a bad slot if even a table.

This wasn't our first time here. The first time we visited, everything was fine, but this time we were really disappointed. It felt like we were being treated differently—perhaps because they thought we were international students who don't tip. From the moment we walked in until the end of our meal, no one from the staff came to our table, except when they served the food. Our empty plates were left on the table until we paid, without anyone clearing them—even though there were only a few other guests. Furthermore, the food wasn't as fresh and tasty as it used to be. It's a shame—we're not students, and we always tip. But this kind of unequal treatment is unacceptable. We won't be coming back.

What a fantastic restaurant this is! The 4.8 out of 5 rating is no exaggeration. Just keep in mind that you'll be out of here quickly. The service is lightning-fast with Asian precision. That's partly why you'll be out so quickly, but it doesn't feel forced. I think the decor of this restaurant is beautiful; it's Chinese from top to bottom. It's also a large restaurant with two floors. Reservations are a must; don't come without one! One last important note: the name of the restaurant on the facade is different! It's: Shoo Loong Kan!

The quality of the ingredients was very good. Unfortunately, the meat got lost in the broth, so it wasn't easy to spot. The main component was the noodles. They were very filling! All in all, it was an interesting experience, but quite expensive. We paid €300 for six people. That was for broth with noodles, a little meat, shrimp, and various meatballs.

Shoo Loong Kan is a great choice if you're looking for a Sichuan-style hot pot experience and are willing to spend a bit more. • If you want to eat with friends in a relaxed atmosphere, sharing the pot adds to the experience. • If you love authentic spicy flavors, this restaurant is a winner. • However, if you're looking for a quiet, inexpensive meal or mildly spicy food, it might not be the best option.

We've been enjoying our meals here for about two years. About a month ago, a friend of ours celebrated her 30th birthday and made a reservation for all of us. When we arrived, we were told a VIP room had become available, which we were able to use at no extra cost. It was a truly wonderful experience; our friend was thrilled! At the end, she even got an ice cream with a candle on it. We were treated incredibly well and would come back anytime. The food, the atmosphere, and the friendly staff are all the reasons why this is our favorite restaurant, which we visit for almost every occasion. We're already looking forward to the next time! <3

Great food makes you full and mega friendly staff

Imagine being served undercooked, bland-tasting food that's incredibly hot and never cools down. To be allowed to mix your own randomly selected sauces, you have to walk 20 meters to an ingredient buffet each time. No waiter will take your order for you—no, you have to do it yourself via tablet. For the whole "experience," you'll pay €135 for two people. €135 for not having to chop the food yourself at home. Welcome to the "hot pot" concept!

Furthermore, the food was super quick, fresh, and, above all, very well served. Seats 15, 17, 11 are the best in the place! They were warmly given to us at reception. The ambiance is nice. Seats are hard and very small for two people. The value for money is absolutely terrible. The food is served without any explanation as to what it is. When I asked, they said "something with shrimp." No joke. I chose several dishes with some colleagues and have to say that even the presentation of 80% of the dishes was completely careless and simply thrown together. The mocha ice cream at the end was quite tasty (for €6.90 haha), as was a 0.33L Coca-Cola for a whopping €4.50. The total price for the evening was just under €200 for three people. The sauce selection was quite good.
