Hot One in Düsseldorf is a real taste experience! The variety of fresh ingredients is impressive, and the ability to put together your own dish according to your own preferences makes dining a special experience. The ambience is modern and inviting, perfect for a convivial evening with friends or family. The service was attentive and friendly, always ready to help with questions. I can only recommend Hot One and am already looking forward to my next visit!

We were greeted very friendly. Were asked if we would also sit outside. Was a good decision. Super delicious food. We had two different broths. Vegetables and Hot🤪🌶🌶🌶.

Everything was delicious so far, but unfortunately the staff didn't keep up with the refilling of the food... even when asked, it took a while for it to be refilled.

We were there yesterday evening, when we sat down we had to wait 15 minutes, then when we spoke to someone, someone finally came, we said that this was our first time and asked how the whole thing was going, unfortunately there was no help until the order came and it left again, we didn't know how to use the broth properly, how to mix certain things well, we just felt like we didn't know anything, so we tried it out a bit and quickly realized that we were doing a lot of things wrong, I think that Employees tried hard but weren't trained enough, it would also be nice if you had instructions on the table to really understand everything, unfortunately they weren't cleared away either, which is why we had to keep putting away our dishes ourselves. I don't know if this was wanted, but I didn't like it very much, unfortunately there was also little meat refilled for grilling, which I unfortunately rate as the biggest negative point, there was also a table with various spices that we couldn't use because there was no peanut sauce. I went home really disappointed and that was my last visit there.

Unfortunately not our thing. Celebrated my friend's birthday here after seeing a lot about hot pot on social media. Both had little idea what to expect, but were quite disappointed after we ate. We felt a bit left alone by the waiters, even though we said it was our first time here and needed help. Unfortunately, the buffet of vegetables and meat didn't look appetizing either. Some bowls remained empty all evening, a lot of the meat had thawed and was lying in a pool of water, which looked very unappetizing. The atmosphere wasn't comfortable either, everything smelled strongly of broth and fried meat. The homemade iced tea and lemonade varieties were tasty and refreshing, but not enough to change our impression. For €75 for two people, it's too expensive given the quality of the food. Neither of them would come back.

Five of us were there one afternoon and "only" decided on the hotpot - but that was more than enough. Personally, I already know the principle of the hotpot well enough; it was the first time for my companion. The small pots are an ideal introduction for hotpot beginners, the service was very courteous and helpful and the food was wonderfully tasty - the vegetable dumplings were my personal favorite. Even as a vegan/vegetarian you have an extremely large and satisfying selection here. The price is also completely okay, the offer is definitely satisfactory. I just find the pots to be a bit too small, which meant you had to wait a long time until the food was ready. All in all, a fabulous experience worth repeating!

We were there as a group today and were immediately warmly welcomed. Great service. The waitress was super nice and gave us advice and tips because it was our first time eating hotpot. The food was great and there was a large selection of meat, fish and vegetables. The sauce bar was also varied. We will definitely be going back!

Very nice staff who give you personal recommendations and are very accommodating. The food was also very fresh and really tasty. In terms of value for money, it's really great because you really get a lot for the money you pay. I'll definitely stop by again.

Wasn't for us. Rather unhygienic - the table was dirty, there was a strong smell and everything looked a bit shabby... We also received a menu without prices... There was only one service person who had to do everything, so you had to wait forever...

We reserved a table for 6 people at 6:30 p.m. (a few days before, of course). When we have gathered everyone on site, the door simply stays closed. After 2 minutes an employee came out and said that the restaurant is closed due to technical errors. What a disgrace! Is it so difficult to inform you in advance either by email or telephone? I haven't been able to eat anything there yet, so I can't rate it at all.

Best Asian buffet in Düsseldorf, the method of grilling meat and seafood at your own table is simply sensational, with a make-your-own bowl option, I was impressed with the place, congratulations on the new method. Oriental spices and sauce are really delicious!!. I will definitely go there more often

It's always good to come here. Look, the experience is nice with the "soup" and grill and all you can eat. Even vegans can find something here. High-quality cuts of meat and mushrooms. Wide variety for what you can grill or boil, some stuff us Europeans might not be accustomed to. The fact that Koreans come here too speaks to me for its authenticity and quality. A Cute, albeit small outside area, too, though that's a summer only thing. Would recommend no bright colors for a top -> might be hard to get out any stains from the grilling 😅 Sometimes staff is very busy, but they do they're best to multi task. Just busy. They refill the soup if it gets too little, never had a single time running "out of soup" while dining there. It's a fun way to dine, be it with friends or on a date. Drinks are fine, maybe more than what one might be used to from other "Asian" restaurants. Alternative of non alcoholic drinks is good, too. And the fact you always have to dump something in the soup to boil, or turn on the grill is a fun way to keep everyone just a bit busy while having a conversation. If you bring kids, and they are rather......, kid like, there's also "just" spring rolls, chicken nuggets, and stuff like that. But also a wide range of noodles/Ramen. I have no idea how they stay in business because the price is quite fair for the good cuts of meat, variety of quality mushrooms, and other ingredients. Keep in mind the grill is an extra, standard is boiling only, but it's such a small bump in price it's like a no-brainer to go for grilling, too. Though if you have to watch your budget a bit, "soup only" is quite nice too. There is like 8 (maybe 10?) different kinds of soups to boil your stuff in. Would recommend lamb, mushroom , or beef soup. I like the spicy one, just keep in mind that the spiciness floats on top. Quite like the fried tofu cubes there -> they do soak in quite the flavor of the soups. Tgere is also desert, ice, fruit, and cake. Would recommend reserving, which is possible through their website. But always had luck never to be turned down before, ever. But it is a major city. If you come here during Japan Day, you'll likely have to reserve. The bathroom was always very well tended to, as in clean and high quality, despite the staff being very busy.

The only drawback: the warm starters were not labeled, but the employees were able to quickly provide information about the ingredients.

We were here for lunch with 8 people. The ingredients are all fresh and are grilled and cooked at the table. It's fun and healthy. The children had fun and ate a lot.

First of all, it was my first time eating hot pot but I've eaten out several times before. To report positively - It was consistently delicious - Ingredients were well chilled - Staff friendly - Drinks also very good - Ambience was good - Cooking accessories/utensils were clean and tidy Negative - some dishes in the refrigerator were empty (for a very long time and were only refilled when asked) - The table wasn't really explained - Plates were sparsely cleared away - Drinks service, well (you can probably call it across the table, but it wasn't explained to us) - Unfortunately not everything is labeled (the sauces/toppings are missing labels - Music didn't fit the ambience Conclusion: Since the price/performance ratio is definitely right, I would recommend the store. But I would recommend a nicer introduction to new guests. If necessary, repeat the labeling (garlic, sesame, etc.).

Delicious, fresh ingredients for the hotpot. Lots of different sauces and spices, also very tasty. I particularly liked the large selection of seafood. The service was very friendly and helpful.

You can choose between just or hotpot (€27.90) or hotspot with BBQ. We decided on the combination version (€29.90) and definitely didn't regret it. There is a lot to choose from - which for the price is really unbeatable compared to the other all you can eat hotpots in Düsseldorf. There is also enough choice of vegetables if you go with vegetarians. So there's something for everyone.

A great option to hotpot here in Düsseldorf. This was our first time doing it outside of China. Quality of the fish was good, nothing to complain. Chicken tastes great. Great assortment of vegetables and the ''sauce bar'' was just like in China. The original spicy broth was very good. However, the beef was very tough, pretty bad. Things to improve would be the service, only 2 waiters. It took us over 20 minutes to get the broth and over 30 to get the grill. The owners are very friendly, but you rarely see them. Also the hygiene could be better, especially when you look into the kitchen. And why does it also advertise as a Korean BBQ? Nothing K-BBQ about this place, only thing is the grill & soju. Maybe introduce some Korean items to honor it's Korean BBQ name or just name it a Hot Pot & BBQ without the K. It's great to have a hotpot experience here, however the experience is definitely not as good as in China.

Unfortunately, the team was completely overwhelmed. You had to wait forever to be served. The owners kept disappearing and the 2 waiters were really helpful and friendly and also apologized when we waited longer for our drinks. Nothing was refilled, we didn't even get a clean bowl to eat with at the beginning, probably because there wasn't time to wash dirty dishes. I wouldn't call the restaurant all-you-can-eat if there's simply nothing to eat other than food that's been sitting out all day. Unfortunately, what was there didn't taste like anything. The broths were also very little and tasteless. There wasn't even a message in the fortune cookie. And the whole thing for 3 people with over 100€ was simply excessive because after less than 2 rounds we were forced to leave. By the way, the prices on the Internet are not correct either, it is significantly more expensive. Wouldn't really recommend it to anyone.

Terrible! Avoid this restaurant or you will regret it! I am beyond outraged at the service and quality of this restaurant! From start to finish, their service was a nightmare! First of all, the service was very poor. Twenty minutes after we sat down, no one came over to ask for an order. The waiters waved and called, turning a blind eye. In the end, I had to go to the counter to order drinks and pot bottoms. Secondly, we clearly requested barbecue, but after another twenty minutes passed, no one opened the oven or brought barbecue paper for us. We had to call around for everything, and finally a waiter rushed over and said, "Wait a minute." The most infuriating, surprising and outrageous thing is that when the soup in our pot was almost boiling dry and bottoming out, we couldn't find anyone to provide us with soup refills. Just pour boiling water into a pot, a simple task that no one wants to do. At the same time, the Asian waiter in green was asking how the next table tasted. The proprietress sat at the bar with a smile on her face and looked at the bill. Even though she shouted and gestured, no one cared whether the soup pot on the table was boiling. This was a very good experience and much better than other hot pot experiences we had so far. The ingredients were very fresh and there were a lot of choices. Also the broth (spicy and lamb) was much better than in other places. Last but not least service was very attentive! We will be back for sure.

We visited Hotone for the first time today and will definitely come back. The selection of sauces, dishes and also the price-performance ratio were excellent. We loved the opportunity to enjoy hot pot and BBQ at the same time. The service was very attentive and courteous. Particularly noteworthy is the restaurant's child-friendliness. The only point of criticism was the hygiene in the toilets and the cleanliness. Overall, we rate the Hotone 8/10.

I came with a party of six and had a great time. The Atmosphere was very authentic and the food was good. There were a lot of toppings, variety of vegetables and meat. The staff was also very friendly and made it a great experience. We will definitely come back here! <3

This was our fourth time here and we also tried other HotPot restaurants. Hot One is our favorite. We are warmly welcomed here like friends and we really like the selection and quality of the ingredients. The All you can Eat concept achieves an excellent price-performance ratio. You can also do a BBQ at the table for a small additional charge, but hot pot is more than enough for us. See you very soon!

It cost 19euro for a small child, way too expensive and the food choice is limited and not so fresh. Not any more It cost 19euro for a 6-year-old child, and the soup pot dishes were not fresh. The service was average. To be honest, I spent this price. I would definitely go to Xiaolongkan, but it’s not worth it and I will never come again…

I went there to eat Hotpot+Grill with my family. For us Chinese it was very authentic, the selection of ingredients was good for a restaurant in Germany. As long as you know how to eat hotpot and can grill it yourself, it was really good enough that you can pay the price instead of eating hotpot at home. Wouldn't go there every day, but if I wanted to eat hotpot outside, I definitely recommend this place

We were here for the first time. It was really very tasty. Fresh vegetables and meat, large selection. The staff was also very nice and polite.

Unfortunately I did not have a good experience. Between sitting down and going to pickup meet all the lamb and beef was gone. The gentleman came to my tabel and turned up the grill and the chicken I did have got stuck to the paper it was cooking on. I was also personally very confused exactly what to do at the start as things were in interesting places and difficult for me to find. I ended up not eating the food as it was too difficult to manage with the grill already burnt stuff on the paper.

Service totally overwhelmed.....you have 1.45 hours to eat.....actually enough to eat comfortably....but it takes 30 minutes. until someone comes and takes an order.....then 15min. until drinks come.....the grill plate is started.....and the broth is delivered.....well....

We went there as a group of 10 people. Sitting outside at the large wooden tables was quite suitable for the hotpot with grill, but a bit restless and uncomfortable because several people always have to get up when someone from the back wants to go to the buffet. The meal was excellent. Lots of choice and nothing was empty when you got to the fridges. There is also a lot of dessert selection with fresh fruit and cakes. Presentation could be nicer. But the service. Oh dear. There was a lot going on, but not all the tables were occupied. Nevertheless, the service was spotty, the drinks were unreliable and we had to remember a few things. You had to be lucky to find cutlery at the buffet. Unfortunately there was no clearing up either. It was a fun evening, but as a guest you have to take on a lot.

As others have pointed out, it's nice, but there are several things that should be addressed. The waiters are either busy or ignorant towards people who are coming for the first time. We were sitting for 15min without anybody coming and serving the drinks. Next thing, cuttlery. Were given none. Kind of hard to eat without it. Might be that you have to take it yourself, but nobody mentioned it. And we said that we were there for the first time. All-in-all, there are other places where you can eat for 40 EUR per person and avoid being treated like non-existent 😐 Nice thing, the soup was nice, as well as noodles.🙂

Food was okay, nothing special. I had the feeling that the employees didn't know exactly what to do and communication with some of them was difficult. Because they couldn't speak German and they had bad English. What I liked was the mix of grill and hot pot.

Service is top. Food could be better. Under normal circumstances you usually have lamp meat for hotpot. It’s traditional, but they don’t have any. :( Also they only have small pots. One of the main reasons for hotpot being popular in China is bc everything is in one (or with separated) big pot. It’s a real get together food event. Otherwise, the place and restrooms was very clean. Big parking lot close by.

Friendly and courteous service in an appealing atmosphere with a mixed audience. Very pleasant. Food selection very rich and good. It was still early when we visited, so the air and space was still good. The winter garden with more space is recommended here, including at the table itself.

We decided to have a hotpot dinner in the restaurant because every visitor gets their own hotpot. Quite beneficial if not everyone likes the same broth or ingredients. We also used BBQ, which can quickly overfill the table with plates. But it's always cleared away quickly or you use the table bell for quick service. All in all a good deal.

The selection of the ingredients for hot pot is limited, but fresh. Quality of thinly sliced beef and Mutton seem better than other hotpot restaurants in Düsseldorf. The ambience is very good, clean and well-organised. The boss is a nice lady , friendly service!

It was our first time eating hot pot and we immediately decided on the hot pot with BBQ! It's actually easier than we imagined and there's a wide selection of meat, fish and vegetarian options! The employees were super friendly and incredibly helpful! You felt like you were in very good hands there! The homemade lemonades taste incredibly good (which surprised me because most restaurants have never had it good)! So all in all: highly recommended! Especially if you want to come as a group (more likely up to 4 people), it's a super fun experience!

Disappointing. We hoped for more. Hotpot and grill concept is great. However, not really recommended here. Table and bench not cleaned. Served under the table by the previous person. The box at the table with servings, chopsticks, etc. was empty. The cupboards with the food right in the entrance. Quality of the food was ok. However, even there it could have been cleaned better. Staff sitting at the table, eating and drinking beer... In the men's toilet there is no soap or paper towels to dry your hair. Since there is neither a holder nor a trash can, it seems to be common for men not to wash their hands.... In general, there is a lot of room for improvement when it comes to cleanliness. We were there for the first and last time. There are enough alternatives.

We were complete beginners, unfortunately, despite repeated requests, it was not explained to us how it worked. Well, we helped ourselves. We found the basic broths to be very tasteless and you had to cook a lot of vegetables. The labels on the buffets were incorrect or sometimes not even there. The finger food was ready-made, but good - unfortunately better than the broths. The toilet was dirty to a level that would make you lose your appetite if you left before eating. The rest was only moderately clean, at least the buffets and tables looked clean. I cannot recommend the restaurant and will not come back.

Your soup is heated at the table, and if you wish, you can throw unlimited vegetables and meat from the open buffet into your soup or on your grill, cook it yourself and eat it hot. We had a hotpot and grill here, which were provided in a small pot and on a grill plate. In this case an all-you-can-eat, excluding drinks. Side dishes and meat were brought from refrigerators. The broth could be tastier. The atmosphere is familiar, but the place could be cleaner. Cobwebs on the ceiling, the kitchen didn't look clean and you didn't want to go to the toilets (e.g. a dehumidifier/generator in the toilet).

It's good for me to try once, but I can't come again and again.

The food selection was okay. Unfortunately some things were not replenished. E.g. Enoki mushrooms or shrimp. Some of the signage was incorrect or missing entirely. Soups were tasty, but water was added when necessary, so that there was hardly any soup flavor left afterwards. The grill was lined with baking paper, which was changed about every 15 minutes, but this then hung halfway over the soups so that you couldn't really get to it. Some of the staff didn't speak any German at all, which was very difficult for communication. The place otherwise seemed very clean and the quality of the food was good and fresh.

A very small but fine restaurant. There are maybe 3 parking spaces in front of the door, but there is a large parking garage within walking distance. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and because everyone has a grill at the table it gets very warm. I'll definitely be putting on a T-shirt under my sweater soon so I can take off my sweater. Otherwise it's just too hot. But highly recommended for the food itself. Nice service who explained everything and very tasty starters such as fried rice and noodles, gyoza, spring rolls etc. Dessert, baked banana and many different types of ice cream such as matcha and sesame ice cream are also available. I think there is a really great cocktail selection, including many different non-alcoholic drinks. Reservations are recommended as it is always very busy.

Unfortunately a really bad and disappointing restaurant. Waiting for a table despite having a reservation is not a problem in itself. Unfortunately, the buffet area is located in the entrance area, which meant that it was extremely in the way of other guests when putting together their food. After waiting, we were then led to a pavilion in the backyard, which is supposed to make up for the lack of capacity inside. Despite the patio heaters, it was relatively cool and uninviting. The ordering process was quick, but then we waited over 30 minutes for the drinks. The soup “only” 20 minutes. The promised explanation of the hot pot (so far only experienced "from watching") did not happen because the waiters unfortunately don't speak German either. The various components for the hot pot are then put together at the buffet, the same applies to sauces and already fried/prepared dishes. The latter equals the quality of a simple Asian shop at the main train station. The buffet was extremely dirty, the selection was manageable and the quality and freshness of the food was also disappointing. In addition to the incorrect labeling, there were also not separate tongs for each ingredient, so these were used for different components (particularly disastrous if you have allergies or dietary restrictions). The food was also not convincing in terms of taste. It was edible, but nothing special. The broth didn't have much taste either and was only topped up with hot water. In addition, on the way to the buffet you were almost run over by other guests or employees. There are enough alternatives for really good Asian food in Düsseldorf. Unfortunately, I have to strongly advise against this shop, even if the all-you-can-eat principle sounds good at first.

Short information in advance: we were there on a Saturday evening (from 6 p.m.). So I don’t know to what extent that influenced our “experience”. It started right at the entrance: the buffet where you choose the ingredients for your hot pot is right in the entrance area, although you could describe it as a “narrow alley”. Two people could barely fit next to each other and then help themselves to the buffet? Difficult. The vegetables and meat were also carefully selected. The sauce bar was very dirty and the ingredients were also a bit of a mess. Not very appetizing. The small buffet with fried snacks and fried noodles was missing any labeling, and the rest of the buffet was partially out of place, so you had to guess which ingredient was in front of you. Moving on to the allocation of seats, this was a bit slow. It was still within reasonable time (about 5 minutes), but it was very unpleasant to be in the way of all the commotion that was going on at the buffet. I noticed the first real red flag when we were led to the back of a tent in the backyard. (I have found that services in such back areas are very slow - and that was the case here) We waited 50 minutes (!!!) for our drinks - a beer and a lemonade. That just doesn't work at all. Especially when you notice that tables around you who have ordered almost the same thing are served faster. And what's more, the beer wasn't even really cold. In general, the atmosphere wasn't all that inviting, especially because some corners were dirty. (buffet excluded) Now about the hot pot: our order was taken relatively quickly (after about 20 minutes). We were also asked whether we had ever eaten hot pot; no we have not. The waitress said that someone would come and explain it. Nobody ever came to explain. After about 30-45 minutes someone came with the hot pot and turned the stove on. The only problem was that the stove wasn't switched on and someone had to come back to correct it. We chose the chicken and beef broth and tasted absolutely no difference. These broths tasted like water with a bit of flavor. I know it was a Saturday evening, but the employees were probably super unfriendly due to the stress (?) (which is no excuse, because I know it differently from other restaurants) and could hardly speak German (to help with questions). The only good thing was a few things at the buffet (including pak choi, beef strips and dumplings). In summary: We were here for 1 1/2 hours. We spent 1 hour waiting for everything and 30 minutes of eating. I have never been so disappointed with a restaurant, especially because this one has such positive reviews and pictures. You have to know.

Super delicious food and nice service. Lots of choice and sauces to put together yourself.

Mediocre. Food was hot pot as we know it. Set up like a buffet so you could take whatever you wanted. The meat was often empty on Friday evenings. The service was subpar. The lady couldn't answer any questions, didn't know the drinks on the menu and was generally very, very slow with serving. The rest of the staff didn't speak German.

Perfect mix of hot pot and grill

We tried the HotPot with grill here. The concept in this restaurant is good, but the ambience and cleanliness didn't convince us. Initially we had to wait 30 minutes for service, but due to a lack of staff I can understand this. The benches were relatively narrow, with hardly any space to store or hang up jackets. The food was authentic and tasty. The refrigerators for storing the ingredients and the dresser for the cutlery were not really clean. Unfortunately we won't eat here again.
