The ambience in Hotpot Fu is appealing, but there is room for improvement in some areas. Unfortunately, the sauce counter seemed a bit unkempt, which somewhat spoils the overall impression. While the quality of the meat and fish products could be improved, the vegetable and pasta options were fresh and tasty. Overall, the food was okay, although the selection seemed reasonable for an all-you-can-eat concept. However, what significantly detracted from the experience was the service. Unfortunately, a waitress was not very customer friendly. As soon as I arrived, I was immediately asked about my drink orders without having the opportunity to sit down and relax. In addition, the service seemed uncommunicative, not very attentive and left the impression that she was uninterested in the well-being of the guests. The situation was particularly unfortunate when fruit was placed in the fire pot against our express wishes. I found this behavior to be inappropriate and unprofessional. Friendly and attentive service contributes significantly to the well-being of guests and also supports the restaurant's good reputation. I hope that this was an isolated incident, as previous visits to Hotpot Fu had a much more positive atmosphere.

Authentic hotpot restaurant with an all-you-can-eat menu including soft drinks and beer - so the price is unbeatable and we love coming here. Large selection of dishes for the hotpot, plus fried noodles, baobuns and crab chips at the buffet as snacks. And of course there is a large selection of ingredients to put together different sauce variations. It gets busy here in the evenings on weekends, so it's best to make a reservation. Really warm in summer because you sit right in front of the gas grill. ;) The service is always nice and quick.

HotPot Fu is a real insider tip. The store looks unremarkable, and in fact the ambience may not be suitable for a first date or that important business lunch. Nevertheless, there is incredibly good HotPot and in an all-you-can-eat-and-drink format. Including beer. So you don't have to worry about anything. Simply order what you want. The ingredients are ordered on a piece of paper and then brought to the table. It's always an experience when you get a huge mountain of raw vegetables, meat and fish at the table.

We had dinner here for the first time last night. We were there with six people and a small child. The food is completely fine, standard drinks are included in the price of just under €25. I don't know where else you can find such value for money. The selection of meat and vegetables is more than enough for the average customer. The beer is very tasty. The waitress looks a bit grumpy, but is very nice and attentive. Because we didn't know our way around, we were given a mixed plate to start with. That was super practical. Others can then be reordered individually, as often as you like.

Been there for the first time, won't be coming back. I've never seen anything like that. Noisy, tables full of bowls and napkins that were only cleared sporadically. Condensed water dripped from the ceilings onto the tables. Inventory is also getting old. Gas bottles lay open on the shelves on the wall.

Solid hotpot with a good selection and very good price-performance ratio. You pay 25 for the hotpot and all drinks together, including alcoholic drinks. All in all, it's a really nice shop that you can visit. However, you have to make a reservation, otherwise it can be very difficult.

One of the waitresses had a particularly bad attitude and would order us to collect our plates in the middle of the meal. But she will ask us to arrange the bowls and garbage and then hand them over to her. She will not thank you for collecting the drink cups for her, as if it is what you should do. Then why should I come to the restaurant to eat? I might as well do it at home. 😅What’s even more outrageous is that one of our companions hadn’t finished eating yet, so she started clearing the table, and then she even thought we had sauce dripping on the table. But the worst thing is that as a service staff, she started to think that one of our companions ate slowly and never finished the meal. Not to mention that we are consumers, even if we are strangers, she has no right to criticize others. Secondly, I don’t know why she is so anxious😅 There are obviously many empty tables in the restaurant, so there is no need to rush to turn over the tables. Is she in a hurry to reincarnate? Hurry, hurry, hurry. ❗️Then there is the issue of hygiene. I finally went to the bathroom, and when I was washing my hands, I found that the short-haired waitress went out without washing her hands after going to the bathroom😅I didn’t dare to think about it. ❗️Then there is the issue of serving and producing food. Because there were many people in our party, we wanted to order more portions of meat every time, but the merchant explained that he could only serve three portions at a time, and he was worried that we wouldn't be able to finish it and it would be a waste. OK, I accepted it, but every time we went to ask for it, they were very indifferent and said they wanted us to write a form, but in fact there was no extra form left on the table for us to fill out. I still have to find the counter every time. In addition, there were only four shrimps for the two portions, and some dishes had the quantity written on them but were not served. And every time the meat is served, you can tell with the naked eye whether one portion is good or not. I don’t think it’s recommended for everyone to come here, either in terms of taste or service, unless you want to be as angry as I am on Christmas Eve. If I could give service 1 star I would. If you are a tourist and aren’t well up on the language then avoid. Food was below average, frozen fish and meat. The 2 women that were serving had absolutely no people skills or manners and were no help whatsoever. Didn’t help that the place was filthy also. Avoid!!

Until five minutes ahead of time, your table at Hot Pot Fu is ready for you! Arrived at the restaurant 9 minutes late yesterday due to rush hour traffic and because there were no parking spaces nearby. When we entered the store we were informed that our reserved table had unfortunately unfortunately unfortunately been passed on. There are two options here, either you forgot our reservation or you not only have the fastest guests but also the fastest chef in the world because all the tables already had their food on the table. Craziness! 5 out of 5 stars for speed. Went to Okinii afterwards. I can highly recommend this. Good service, delicious food. Go to Okinii and get the Parmesan Chicken. 10/10 😋

It is a bit loud and the atmosphere is not that great the toilets are unfortunately very very dirty. Some tables also were sticky after being seated.

It's really delicious. There are also garland chrysanthemums, which I thought I couldn't eat in Germany. I don't drink alcohol myself, so I don't know, but I think it's a very good price for all-you-can-drink beer and all-you-can-eat food for less than 25 euros. Eating HotPot for the first time in Germany was not convincing. At the beginning nothing was explained to us about the order. The food was good. Not as good as an authentic Sichuan hotpot, but acceptable. The main problem is they did not accept Visa or MasterCard. Only cash or some German card.

Very attentive service. The multiple staff members came to clear the table of cluter and refill our drinks. We made a mess when an egg slipped out of hand and cracked into a slimy puddle. The waitress who happened to be walking by was patient about it. All meat cuts are fresh. The prawns are great, too. The muscles are on the stale side, but still okay. The sauce station, where you build your own dip from various sauces and condiments, is well stocked. Over all, great value and great vibe. Be warned, cooling is done by fans. No air con.

Worst Hot Pot Experience Ever I can confidently say that this was probably the worst hot pot experience I’ve ever had. From the moment we sat down, we felt completely unwelcome and ignored by the staff. It was almost impossible to get their attention, and when we did, we had to ask four different staff members just to get our next round of food. No one seemed to care or pay attention to us. We ended up going to the front desk multiple times to request our new round because the servers simply weren’t responding. The service was chaotic and disorganized. Not only did they ignore our requests, but they also failed to manage the hot pot itself. After we waited 20 minutes for a refill of the soup base, they refilled it without even acknowledging us. The lack of communication was incredibly frustrating. To make matters worse, the portion sizes seemed to get smaller with each round. By the time we got to our third round, the amount of food we received was noticeably less. We waited for 30 minutes just for one meat plate, and only after we stood up and complained did they finally bring it out. While the price might seem like a good deal, it’s definitely not worth the stress, frustration, and loss of dignity that comes with being ignored and disrespected by the staff. Service is a huge part of any dining experience, and in this case, it completely ruined the meal for us. I would never recommend this place to anyone, no matter how affordable it may seem. It was, without a doubt, the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. In the photo you can see how much the soup base already evaporated and nobody came to refill. just really disappointed.

First time having Chinese food and what an experience it was. The buffet was very rich of many types of food. A mix of meat and vegetables, plus noodles and dumplings. The food and drinks are also refilled if you need more.

There are writen eat all you can eat but basically they keep limiting you from ordering after first round, slower service, smaller portion and show they impatient face. The two of us arrived and waited for service as we didn't know whether we could just sit at a table. After 5 minutes a woman said in a very unfriendly tone that we should sit down somewhere. We did. Since none of the tables were clean, we sat down at a dirty table. We waited there for 20 minutes. No one came to take the order and no one cleaned the table. The waiter was busy cleaning another table that had just become available. The waiters saw us and knew we were waiting, but didn't come to us. After about 20 minutes we got up to leave and suddenly the waiter came to us and acted surprised, but wished us a nice evening... very, very strange and a shame. We felt very unwelcome.

We reserved a table for 4 people by phone about 2-3 weeks in advance. When we arrived at the restaurant that day we were left standing there for a very long time, even though there was hardly anything going on. After a long wait, we spoke to the staff and were told that the entire store would be reserved for a large group in about an hour. We were asked to leave the store immediately without a word of apology.

It was my first time eating hot pot and I have to say that I generally don't like plain cooked food. In my opinion, ingredients cooked in a hot pot are definitely tastier because the broth is well seasoned. The spicy soup should probably be chosen carefully because it is very spicy. Mixing sauces isn't necessarily a plus point for me. I would also have liked additional spices - but I don't know if that would have been possible. Overall: When it's REALLY cold, a hot pot is definitely good, but a portion of ramen gets me more excited.

It was our first time in an Asian fondue restaurant and we found out about it through the recommendation of our friends. We were thrilled from the start: the concept of the hotpot is simply great! Both fish and meat were of the highest quality and cooked to perfection. The accompanying side dishes rounded off the taste experience. Particularly noteworthy are the homemade sauces - they were absolutely outstanding and gave every bite that certain something. The price-performance ratio is also perfect here. The staff were consistently friendly and attentive, and the convivial atmosphere made the evening perfect. We'll definitely be back!

The food wasn't fresh, so I don't know any Chinese food, we were really dissatisfied. The service was very moody and unappealing, the service should actually be there to put you in a good mood and appear inviting, but unfortunately this was not achieved here. We became aware of this restaurant some time ago and wanted to try hot pot here. However, we were a bit put off by numerous negative reviews. Today we finally got there and were pleasantly surprised. The person is very friendly, if a bit reserved. You are served quickly and they always ask if you have any other wishes. The mushroom broth is a bit bland, but can be individually flavored with sauces and the parts of the meal. The ingredients are fresh, the portions are large and you can help yourself to a sauce bar. You can also find a few side dishes and desserts there. For €24.90 including drinks you really can't complain. Small drawbacks are the toilets and the somewhat outdated furniture.

Although I had a lively conversation with the person sitting next to me. During the group photo he left me out of the picture “as punishment”. Our place was smeared with beer and fish liquid. Nobody bothered to give it a quick wipe. In any case, the other waitress, an overwhelmed lady, changed the toilet paper rolls every now and then without washing her fingers afterwards. And then handed out food and bowls. If you like certain microorganisms in your food, this is the right place for you! Finally, a “soup” was prepared in front of the whole group, using the leftovers and the napkins. But as I said, my personal favorite was the waiter. By the way, my girlfriend was very unhappy with the food. The question is also whether you have to burn gas on the tables for hours in times of gas shortages. Maybe so, but not for an extremely dubious establishment. Conclusion: Unprofessional. Atmo like in an airport hall. Hygiene dangerously poor. And by the way: Far too expensive.

Interesting restaurant where you cook your own food in a pot.

We visited a hotpot shop that reminded us of our experiences in China. The food was good and there was plenty of choice for meat lovers, vegetarians and vegans. Fans of spicy or light dishes will also get their money's worth. At just under 25 euros per person, including non-alcoholic drinks, the price-performance ratio is fair. The staff were friendly, if a little stressed, and cleared up quickly. The only drawback: there were no aprons to protect clothing and the tea, which cost extra, was only made from tea bags and not fresh.

The staff is very rude. The whole restaurant smells wether you like it or not. (The smell is annoying at times) The show you fake respect which is more annoying than the smell of the food. Takes very very long time.

I really can't recommend anyone to eat here. The service was absolutely bad. We had reserved the table for 9 p.m. and received our food about half an hour later - we weren't even allowed to choose what we wanted for the hotpot (apart from the broth). A little bit of everything was simply presented to you, without taking into account whether you had allergies or not. Only from the second round onwards could you decide freely. The kitchen was no longer available after 10 p.m., so we couldn't even order a second round. Suddenly we were simply charged, even though people at our table were still eating. The food was literally taken away from us The service also wanted to charge us for green tea, which was already at the table before (!!!) our arrival. He even checked the surveillance camera and still wanted to get the tea The food itself wasn't very good either. The broth was tasteless. In some cases we couldn't even define what food we received because it was just slammed together on the plate. All in all a really bad experience.

The restaurant should be called Hot Pot Fu instead of Hot Pot Fu. Instead of a good broth we were served a tasteless foot broth. The “nice” lady didn’t understand a word. Both “allergy” and “no” were not understood. The broth was simply left for us and the lady left. You couldn't ask questions, although an introduction to the gas burner would have been helpful. Almost everything boiled over and we had to turn the heat down ourselves. Diluting the peanut sauce with a liter of water is also questionable. Tastelessness is probably overrated here. This was our first and last visit here and really not worth the money.

Super tasty, price/performance ratio is right. Very nice service who recommended a few things to us. Not everyone may like the decor, it's a bit spartan and can't compete with certain other hotpot restaurants nearby - but it's well worth overlooking because the food is better here.

I'm not a fan of Chinese cuisine, but I recommend this restaurant. The unique atmosphere, maybe because at that time the DRUPA fair was taking place in Dusseldorf and there were a lot of Chinese people in the restaurant, made me so enchanted by this restaurant :-). Very tasty food, nice service - especially the waitress from Ukraine and only one drawback - no air conditioning. The installed fans didn't help much, but I got a "+" for trying to get the air out! I recommend ! 👍

We were a group of 4 people the first time. At 15:00 there were few people, we chose a table ourselves. Unlimited menu, sauces, drinks and even ice cream for 24.90 euros. You definitely won't go hungry. Regarding the staff: one waitress was not very friendly, she didn't understand German very well. While the other is very nice, she told us everything and gave good advice. The food is delicious and there is a lot of it. We stayed here for 2 hours. Thanks to the food and the nice waitress, we left the establishment in a good mood. Everyone liked everything

The boss was just causing stress and just wanted to have an argument. I didn't even sit down and they immediately asked me stressfully if I had anything to drink. Have you ever seen something like this? Incredible. People like that make you lose your appetite. At least the food wasn't poisoned. Well, the meat was a bit rotten, but at least not everything was. Next time I'd rather eat at McDonald's because McDonald's is even healthier and the workers don't provoke you at all

I've been here several times and it's always been delicious. The price of 24.90 including drinks (including beer) is unbeatable. The ambience was enhanced by the new sauce counter. Otherwise, the shop is visually nothing special - very inconspicuous compared to other hotspot restaurants. But that doesn't matter because you're actually concentrating more on the food than on the surroundings anyway. The food is brought to the table, so unfortunately there is no influence on the portion size, which means that something is left over and thrown away. But the order comes very quickly. The rest of the service, however, leaves a lot to be desired. Even though you have a reservation, you are often looked at crookedly, as if you had never gotten in touch - if you don't make a reservation with the boss yourself, you are virtually non-existent. That's why they were thrown in front of the door after an hour's drive. The service staff are sometimes quite unfriendly and inattentive, giving Karen's diner vibes, you are sometimes forgotten or have to fight for a long time for attention. Luckily I'm not that picky about this, otherwise I wouldn't come back every time - after all, I come for the delicious food and the great price, not to make friends with the service staff. All in all it is worth one or more visits.

As the saying goes, it’s not that hot pot is unaffordable, but that Fuchun Garden is more cost-effective! The self-made hot pot is very cost-effective and tastes great!

I assume that the mostly positive comments come from people whose expectations are very low or none at all. I come from the health industry and have read comments beforehand because I personally attach great importance to other criteria for open dining and the concept when eating out. Unfortunately, these were not answered beforehand - nor were they fulfilled in the restaurant, even points that I take for granted in the catering industry. Apart from the fact that we were rushed while eating, I question the storage (cooling/washing) of the food and the serving of drinks. Especially when both are served open-faced. Not just because it was still heavy in the stomach and digestive tract for two days, even though it was vegetarian. I should have trusted my gut feeling in the first few minutes instead of hoping it would surprise me in a positive way. The intention is not to award any points in the criteria. I sincerely hope the company continues to work on it.

This boss was quite interesting. We were all assigned the job. The boss came over and asked us to leave in German. He also educated the waiter on the side in Chinese, telling the three people behind him to sit down, not the two.

I feel good! The price of 24.9 euros including drinks is a great value.

Very authentic Chinese atmosphere. Friendly service. We'd love to come back! The only drawback: there were no larger dinner plates or rice on offer. There was only small bowl. For beginners: Plan 2 hours. The more people take part, the more social it is. At the sauce bar, different sauces etc. can be combined with each other of your choice.

We've eaten here a lot now and will come back often. The food is fresh and incredibly tasty, the attentive staff and the owner are really great and all in all it is always a nice experience to eat here. 100% recommendation - everyone gets their own taste here!

The boss is from Northeast China, he is enthusiastic and generous, and his favorite is hot pot, steamed buns and fried noodles! The only thing that bothers me is how can such a good store have such a waitress? She is still Chinese. Didn’t the boss pay her a salary? He keeps showing off all day long and always speaks in an impatient manner...

It's fun, you can sit together and there's plenty of choice to refine the broth yourself. It's best to come before 7 p.m., the restaurant fills up quickly, even during the week. The price is currently €24.90.

I didn't want to give a bad review, but I ordered the hot pot buffet and thought it tasted terrible, so we decided to check out and leave without finishing the first three dishes. But when a middle-aged waitress saw how much we had left, she immediately started ignoring us. After we talked about paying the bill, she took away half of our remaining dishes and said, "There are so many left." Then she stopped serving us. I even whispered to her that I was sorry. We sat and waited for a long time and she ignored us. My friend later went to the front desk and asked her to pay again, but she ignored her and left until a foreign waiter called out another Chinese man from the back kitchen to pay us. With such a temper, I suggest you go home and be a princess, not a waiter.

HotPot like at home. Lots of Chinese eat here. Good and inexpensive all-inn. But you won't find organic here. If you just want vegetables... no problem.

Strange menu idea! If you like shredded meat and salad in hot water. Sauce buffet a single "mush". Bad service. Stinky air. If you like it...please...

Hotpot Fu is a classic for Düsseldorfers and it's most worth going here. About 25€ for all u can eat and drink (free beer!) and everything is always fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is always very nice and chilled. I've already visited most of the other hotpot restaurants but now I only go here because it's simply the best.

Complete disaster... It's not okay and it's not normal what happened yesterday... First we come in and aren't even greeted, then we order drinks but they never arrive. Getting a death stare from the waiter because you ordered food... I asked for a larger plate, the waitress didn't hear the question until the end and said no, so it was a complete mess. It smelled like a puma cage. No introduction received as to how it works. Got steam on your face, thought to be a cosmetic treatment. Ventilation doesn't seem to be working. Afterwards, the lady didn't want to let go of the card machine while entering the PIN. The ice cream costs more than a kidney. At the end I didn't even get a goodbye. I would prefer not to give a star at all

Hot pot is just great and the restaurant was very tasty and authentic 😊
