We were invited there yesterday as part of a large party. The fish and duck were both to die for—truly outstanding. And the service was top-notch, too.

My absolute favorite place here in the Ebersberg area. Max is a fantastic host; you always feel incredibly welcome. I don't have much to say about the food; it's a 10/10 every time. The price/performance ratio is also sensational. The only downside is that it's difficult without a reservation. 🤣

Absolutely recommendable! Every time we're here, everything is top-notch, from the service to the food selection to the prices. This time we had a salad with goat cheese, a cordon bleu with roasted potatoes, and a plate of desserts. The stuff was just as delicious as it looks in the photos. We always agree that we need to come back more often. And we will!

I found the conditions very pleasant and the regional food very good. It's also great that animal welfare is taken into account and, for example, you get food from a well-being pig.

Anyone looking for excellent cuisine and service will find it here at the Purfinger Haberer in the unassuming town of Purfing. The price-performance ratio is absolutely reasonable considering the quality and quantity of the food. Above all, everything is sourced from the nearby region! Even the chef lends a hand and always has an open ear for his guests!

Among other things, we ordered a dish with tagliatelle in chanterelle sauce. This was completely tasteless, as the pasta was neither cooked in salted water nor was the sauce seasoned. Upon our feedback, we were told that it wasn't possible to cook the pasta in salted water, and that the sauce could be seasoned to taste, and that it was a matter of taste. Ten minutes later, grilled vegetables were brought as an alternative to the tasteless pasta. It's certainly nice to eat meat and side dishes sequentially. In fact, you shouldn't cook pasta if you can't. Charging the full price is also borderline. Any commercial pasta cooker allows you to cook in salted water (contrary to the owner's statement). Furthermore, it doesn't explain why the sauce is served unseasoned. In fact, I go to a restaurant to enjoy the food as it should be. Many, many other restaurants manage this, and if they make a mistake, they handle it much better.

Excellent food, exceptional friendliness, I always feel welcome. Prices are fair. It's just incredibly loud in the guest room.

Absolutely fantastic, very good and freshly prepared food with a twist, a nice selection of sophisticated dishes for vegetarians too (and not just the Alibikässpatzn like so often). A young, attentive, and always friendly service team is a real pleasure. The prices are a bit on the high side, but absolutely reasonable for what's on offer. I'd go back anytime; reservations seem advisable. Thanks to the super-friendly team for the lovely evening.

Nice local Biergarden for enjoying a summer evening with family and friends. My food was good, the others said their meat was hard to chew… Down to earth atmosphere - unusual for me to visit and completely different to the places I always go to… I think this is why I somehow liked it 😄 - refreshingly local (however quite far if you are coming from Munich just for dinner - definitely need a car)

Super nice welcome, but unfortunately it was forgotten! All guests arriving later were served beforehand. No excuse! 3/4 hours until dinner. It's a shame because it was my husband's birthday and we had also booked this event.

We came with a wedding party and were given a very warm welcome! From the champagne/juice at reception to the starter, we were treated excellently and always felt comfortable. The food and service were always praiseworthy. We can only recommend and will definitely come back! Thank you!

We've been guests at the "Purfinger Haberer" several times now and now I'm finally getting around to writing a report. My girlfriend and I have been going to Purfinger for over two years now. Mine too. I celebrated my 40th birthday there last summer (2024) -> it was an experience and more than a successful day! The meal was an absolute delight. Even today (9 months later) the food receives praise from my celebration. Craziness. But in order not to fill any pages: Service: Excellent… and I mean it. Every wish is catered for! Super friendly and hardworking. Food: A 15 out of 10! Be it fish, salads, salad with goat cheese, burgers, all meat dishes... awesome! Price/performance: Absolutely fair prices!!! Excellent quality, great portions,… what more could you want?! 😁 Location: 10 out of 10! I find it very cozy and authentic! The beer garden is also a pleasure (ancient chestnuts 😍) We were guests again today and are already looking forward to our next visit 🤩 By the way, we are planning at least one more celebration in Purfinger this year. Very good Bavarian restaurant, with Charolais beef too...and good wines. Good discovery

I actually just wanted to have a pancake soup on Sunday evening and was looking for a local restaurant. From the very first moment, we felt at home here. From the friendly welcome to the pleasant service, the ambiance, and the appealing menu. Bavarian classics with some modern dishes, which is also reflected in the decor: rustic, yet modern. The food was great; the pancake soup (fantastic) was accompanied by a pork fillet (perfect meat, spaetzle with sauce just as you would imagine), and finally, apple fritters (amazing!). If we're in the area again, we'll definitely come back.

We celebrated our grandpa's 88th birthday at Purfinger Haberer - and it was a complete success! Despite short-term changes in the number of guests, we were warmly welcomed, which immediately gave us a good feeling. Our table was generously sized so that we could feel comfortable. The ambience in the restaurant is a perfect mix of traditional charm - thanks to a beautiful old tiled stove - and modern elements that fit in harmoniously. The service was first class: the drinks came quickly, and the interaction with the children was particularly impressive. Not only did you receive friendly service, but you were also properly integrated. The children's meal was served alongside the appetizer - a thoughtful gesture that parents really appreciated! The portion was big enough to really fill the boys up and they were thrilled: “Soooooooo delicious!” The food overall was excellent and exceeded our expectations. Fresh ingredients, loving preparation and a convincing taste - here we cook with heart and skill. The perfect conclusion was the apple fritters, which not only tasted heavenly but also rounded off the lovely evening perfectly. A special highlight is the personal touch at Purfinger Haberer: the boss of the house personally welcomes and says goodbye to his guests, which gives the whole experience an incredible sense of appreciation. And to top it all off, the children were given a lollipop after dessert. It's exactly these little details that made the evening unforgettable. Thank you for this wonderful evening – we will definitely be back!

Great house, good cuisine and an incredibly friendly and interested host

Nice, well-run inn with typically charming Bavarian furnishings. The Cordon Blue was ok... I expected more. But the roast pork :) was so tender and tasty that you don't often find it. Of course, HB beer is always possible. Very friendly service and short waiting times round off the really good overall impression. Unfortunately difficult to reach without a car.

We were at Purfinger Haberer for the first time on February 16, 2025. The food was very good and the service and ambience were also excellent. Upscale Bavarian cuisine and the prices correspond to the quality. The only thing that is sometimes uncomfortable is hanging the lamps. The tables were probably positioned differently and now, depending on where you sit, the lighting is directly in your face and you are blinded. I had to adapt. It's a shame, that would be so easy to change.

Sehr netter Inhaber, Essen ist auch immer gut. Servicekräfte könnten ein bisschen mehr mitteilen, wenn es Verspätungen oder ähnliches gibt.

Heute waren wir sehr unzufrieden mit dem Essen, war schon besser. Die Suppen waren lauwarm, die Maronensuppe verwässert und die Schnitzel mit Panade auf der Platte gebraten, leider nicht in Butter in der Pfanne. Wir werden nicht wiederkommen, schade, denn die Mitarbeitenden waren sehr freundlich.

If you want to experience traditional Bavarian cuisine interpreted in a modern way, this is the right place. The menu isn't too big, which helps with the quality of the food. According to the innkeeper, the products usually come from the region. The menu also adapts to the season. When it comes to the service staff, you can feel that you are dealing with trained staff. In terms of price, the Purfinger Haberer is still in the lower third for the good quality of the food. All in all, a real wolf in sheep's clothing.

I really enjoy going here, the food is always a treat and, above all, the waitresses are super friendly and attentive. The high price is completely justified by the quality.

My wife had roast pork and I had a schnitzel. The schnitzel was very good. The roast pork is worlds better. The meat is buttery soft, simply good. Anyone who eats anything other than roast pork has only themselves to blame.

Were invited to a family celebration. For starters there were beautifully prepared and tasty starter platters. The main courses à la carte were all beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. The desserts could also be chosen as desired and tasted excellent. The atmosphere is very nice and cozy and the Purfinger Haberer team is very friendly, competent and accommodating. We like to come back again and again, it's always a pleasure.

I ate the most delicious goose with red cabbage here in a long time. The meal for the whole family was on the table in less than 20 minutes and everyone enjoyed it excellently. No ready-made sauces or anything like that, everything is homemade and presented in a simple but beautiful way. A clear menu with clear and fair prices. That's how I like it. A tavern like it’s in the book.

One of the best hosts I know. Great attention is paid to locality (especially when it comes to the origin of the meat). Can only recommend the roast pork in dark beer sauce! My newest favorite dish there is the pink fried pork fillet with spaetzle, pepper cream sauce and a small salad

Was there again a few days ago. As always, excellent food, good draft beer, very attentive service and first of all the landlord, excellent. Will come by again at some point, you should make a reservation in advance as the place is almost always full.

We weren't impressed with the food this time

Das Essen war wie immer super gut. Nur auf den Hauptgang mussten wir ziemlich lange warten. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist super und der Kastanienbiergarten ist sehr gemütlich.

Staff was friendly but we were not impressed by the food. Cordon bleu was descent but coming with frozen fries…. The hirschragout was a bit bland to my taste. The potatoes gratin was nice but the cheese not cooked enough. The käsespatzel were nice but I prefer it with stronger tasting allgauer cheese. Service was a bit slow.

Das Lokal ist Nix für ein Candle Light Dinner, bei voll besetzten Tischen wird die Lautstärke im Raum immer größer. Das Essen war gut, aber für drei Stücke Seiblingsfilet und ein Nudeln mit Pilzen 25€ aufzurufen finde ich doch etwas übertrieben. Der Zwiebelrostbraten mit getrockneten Zwiebeln für 26€ hat gut geschmeckt, aber für den Preis wünsche ich mir dann auch richtige Zwiebeln und mehr Soße. Ich bin hier ein wenig enttäuscht.
