We ate here as a group today, and it was really nice. The service was super friendly, and we had a really pleasant time there. We also had a nice chat with the owner. It didn't get 5 stars because there was a limited selection of non-meat dishes.
I'd be happy to come back because if you're going to eat meat, at least eat good meat, and the quality and freshness of the food speaks for itself. Also important: you really get full.
Thanks for the great afternoon 🌞
May 2025: I went to Namaste for the first time today.
I read the positive reviews and decided to try it. It was the only right decision!
I was absolutely thrilled.
The waitress was incredibly friendly and accommodating. She also gave me excellent advice about the food.
I had three small fish balls for starters. They were delicious and came with two different chutneys.
For the main course, I had tandoori lamb. It usually comes with a delicious yogurt dip, but no special sauce. However, the waitress had offered to serve me a small bowl of sauce during the preliminary conversation. That was really great. The food was truly delicious, and the portion was generous. The dish cost €28, but that was completely reasonable. I'm a big eater, but I did have to work hard after the previous starter. Absolutely outstanding value for money. The drink prices are also very fair.
All in all, I was more than satisfied. I was there on a weekday at 4:30 p.m. There were only three or four tables occupied, so I got a seat right away. However, you should always make a reservation in the evenings, and especially on weekends, as they're fully booked. Very understandable, given the excellent food!
The restaurant is beautifully decorated.
I was disappointed with my visit to Ali Baba Bistro. The döner was cold, the meat portion was small, and it lacked flavor. The service also felt rushed and not very welcoming. Overall, the experience didn’t meet expectations.
I have to honestly say, we loved the products shortly after the reopening. Since then, I've been picking up and eating there on a shoestring basis. I was shocked by the size of the pide and that they weren't made like the pictures. Closed pide is called a bafra pidesi. But paying €18.50 for two mini pide that aren't enough to fill you up is just too expensive for me. It's a shame they're so stingy with the quantity. The tea they used to serve isn't available anymore either.
Very tasty burgers with crispy fries. The service is excellent and friendly! Special tables were set up for our group, and we were not only provided with delicious food but also with tips on things to do and ice cream parlors.
Highly recommended.
Unfortunately, the burger is nothing special. It tastes like a completely normal, boring burger with no character, something you could easily recreate at home. The tables weren't clean, but at least the staff was friendly. But I wouldn't eat there again.
