One of the best Indian restaurants I've visited around Munich. Authentic taste, reasonable pricing, good service and fresh! Special points to Kadhai Paneer and Gulab Jamun!

We've been to this Indian restaurant many times. The vegetarian food is highly recommended. Unlike other Indian restaurants in the area, it's not too greasy but still creamy enough. The seasoning is just right for my taste. They serve one of my favorite dal tarkas in Munich. The naan is also fantastic. Contrary to what one of the reviews here said, I absolutely cannot confirm that it's too oily. Compared to other Indian restaurants, it's quite low in fat and yet incredibly fluffy. There's always a complimentary appetizer, and rice is served with the meal. You can order more rice as often as you like. The service varies from waiter to waiter. Some are more talkative than others, but overall it's still pleasant. Personally, I don't find the ambiance particularly appealing, but it's not bothersome – it's decorated in a lot of pink and has a lot of decorations at once – it's a matter of taste. All in all, I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. The prices are also very fair for Indian food.

The Tandoori chicken is one my favourite, as it touches the authencity of Indian dishes. And staff is amazing they offer delecious food and my meal ended up with nice tea.

Unfortunately, we couldn't confirm the friendliness of the staff often highlighted in other reviews – on the contrary, we had the impression that the waitresses were rather annoyed by the guests. The ambiance also hardly exuded any Indian flair; it was more reminiscent of a Bavarian restaurant with a superficial "Indian" decor. My wife and I love Indian food and therefore have plenty to compare it to. Unfortunately, the food here was well below average: The dishes (lobster bisque, chicken korma, chicken tandoori) were noticeably underseasoned, the naan bread was extremely greasy, and even the mango cream for dessert had an artificial flavor. We usually love this dessert – but this time we both skipped it.

We recently dined at Namaskar and were absolutely thrilled! The atmosphere is pleasant and cozy, ideal for a relaxed lunch or dinner. The staff was very friendly and attentive, making you feel welcome. I was particularly impressed by the quality of the food: fresh, aromatic, and lovingly seasoned. The menu offers a wide variety – vegetarians will also find great dishes. The prices are absolutely reasonable for the service. I highly recommend Namaskar and am already looking forward to my next visit!

Delicious and generous portions for a reasonable price. I go here again and again, and there's something for everyone on the extensive menu. There's also a draft beer for the adults and a delicious mango lassi for the kids. In summary, the restaurant doesn't disappoint!

Very friendly, attentive staff, regulars for years. Beautifully set tables (cloth napkins), traditional wood paneling with matching Indian accents. The food is reasonably priced, plentiful, and tasty, from mild to spicy, but not as authentic as you'd get in India or England.

We were celebrating our daughter’s birthday, and the staff made the evening truly special. They were incredibly friendly and even surprised us with a complimentary dessert. We were also allowed to bring our own cake, which we really appreciated. The food was excellent, and although the restaurant was fully booked and quite busy, the team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. A wonderful experience from start to finish!

Really good ambience and nice food and international culture

I used to be 1.60 meters tall, now I'm 2.00 meters tall. The food works wonders and is super delicious. The waiter is a LEGEND.

Very good value for money at lunch, which is always served with salad or soup. Portions are sufficient. Everything tastes good, though some of the sauces may lack a little extra spice, given the variety of Indian spices! Lovely outdoor garden. And not overcrowded, as is often the case in Munich! I definitely recommend it!

I have on August 6th. Celebrated a party with 33 people in this restaurant and was thrilled with the quality of the food and the service. I've also enjoyed going there with two or three people before and it was always delicious. But I'm very pleased that a celebration with such a large group worked well. I can fully recommend the Namaskar.

Attention - review only applies to TAKEAWAY!!! Food ordered and picked up. Unfortunately, the butter chicken only contained 6 small pieces of meat that were drowned in a ton of sauce. The amount of rice is also far too small for this amount of sauce. You stay hungry or make some rice at home. For €16.50 it's not okay, it's a shame because the taste would be really excellent. But it's better to order from a delivery service somewhere else and you'll save yourself the trip to pick it up. Let's see if things improve a bit in the future, then it's 5 stars! Addendum 04/25: second chance and there is EVEN LESS MEAT IN IT!!! 4 PIECES. For that much money it's just an absolute joke. It tastes really good though. But in the restaurant you get twice as much food for the same price. If you want rice with a very tasty sauce, you will be happy with the delivery service, everyone else has to go to the restaurant...

I really enjoyed my visit to the Namaskar Restaurant in Gauting. The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere and the staff gave us a warm welcome. The dishes tasted excellent and looked great. I will definitely come back.

Unfortunately, the service wasn't that great. We heard the man talking loudly (shouting) in Indian to the other employees. That shouldn't happen.

The food was solid, the service rather inattentive. You can dare to visit, but you should lower your expectations a bit (also in view of the high Google ratings).

This was our first time at Namaskar for dinner. Reservations are practically possible online. Nice Indian atmosphere, the only thing we missed was the Indian music. Both of our selected dishes were really delicious, perfectly seasoned and just the right amount of spiciness. We also really enjoyed the two starters and the garlic naan. The only point of criticism is that there seems to be a distinction between regular guests and new guests like us. So we didn't receive any questions as to whether we could be offered anything on the house and unfortunately we weren't given the rose for International Women's Day either. That's a shame, but we'll definitely come back again because the food really impressed us.

I went there with my family for lunch. The service was very friendly. Unfortunately the food didn't meet our taste. We had three different dishes but they all tasted sweet. I have eaten at various Indian restaurants many times, but I have never experienced sweet sauces. Because of our complaint, we were given some new sauces that were a little spicier, but you could still taste the sweetness. Too bad.

The food tasted pretty good. You must try the tandoori roti, the best I have eaten in Germany. Service was excellent due to warm and jolly nature of the servers.

We've actually been regulars for a long time and love the food here. Unfortunately, we were disappointed this week, just as we had reserved for my birthday. ButterChicken suddenly very spicy and spicy. ChickenKorma tasteless and a bit watery. Unfortunately not as tasty as all the times before. (we always eat these two) I hope this evening was just an exception. Unfortunately it was also a bit cold and uncomfortable in the back (there is a draft on the windows in cold weather). (Unfortunately, a negative comment in the restaurant was not addressed at all)

The restaurant has improved its food quality and taste drastically in the past year! We are repeat customers and love the food here. As an Indian I always look for authentic food and this place serves it. Our favourite is the Achari Chicken tikka. The service/ delivery waiters are also very friendly and prompt.

Their menu has a good selection for meat eaters and vegetarians. Their Saag Paneer is delicious and a bit spicy, their flat breads are wonderful and so a the lassi drinks. The Portuguese server is always very nice, the other servers could improve. Definitely, a go to place for Indian dinner if you’re in the Würmthal!

Went to Namaskar for the very first time today. Simply delicious, the Indian cooking cheese is super tasty and perfectly seasoned. Very friendly service, totally attentive and a nice, cozy atmosphere in a different style, but still appealing; The surrounding beer garden is large and inviting - a 100% recommendation, we would love to come back for dinner 👍🤗😃

We got to try a little bit of everything, chicken, lamb, paneer, chickpeas, all the dishes were delicious. Ingredients of high quality, personal and service are top! Plus the restaurant is really cool, the decorations are beautiful. You feel teleported to India. Definitely a place worth visiting again and again! I highly recommend trying the desserts too, the mango cream and the gulab jamun were exquisite! Best Indian food I have tried!
