The food is fantastic and the service is excellent. The service is excellent and unobtrusive; you don't feel rushed. We would love to come back.

We had an appetizer, vegetarian pastries, and pieces. They came with two sauces, all delicious. The lamb ragout is highly recommended; carefully prepared and well-seasoned, served with sensational basmati rice with orange zest and almond slivers. The meatballs in tomato sauce were also delicious. I would definitely visit this restaurant again if I ever come back to Lübeck. We sat in the courtyard; the tables are quite close together and simply magnificent. The ambiance isn't quite as appealing. Everything is just very simple. But that doesn't detract from the quality of the dishes.

Very good breakfast – taste over quantity (well-sufficient and reasonably priced). Fried egg with datterinos – subtle, but very well seasoned with cumin.

Unfortunately, the outdoor dining area had cheap garden tables and chairs. The waitress only came once for the order and delivery. Then, after a long wait, we had to go inside to pay. We would have liked more food and drinks...

I went to lunch with a group today, and we were all thrilled. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely, and it was like stepping into another world. It's important to note that the portions are cooked to perfection, not quantity, so it's food to savor, highly recommended, especially for lunch. Having worked in the restaurant industry myself, I can say the service was fantastic. Attentive, polite, and following all the rules of service—someone here knows their stuff.

My wife and I ate at this lovely restaurant once in the evening and once for lunch. We enjoyed the food very much. As expected, the lunch portions were a bit smaller, but still adequate. The value for money was good for the food, but unfortunately, the drinks weren't. We skipped our beloved wheat beer and opted for a small beer and a large bottle of water. The waiters were very friendly. We'll see you at Jawed's Remise on our next visit to Lübeck.

Beautiful setting in a cozy backyard. The rice was great (I had the version with some orange peel and caramelized almond slivers). I think the lamb stew is overpriced for the small portion and unfortunately it tastes a bit bland, I had hoped/imagined more character (but that's certainly a matter of taste, I think it was adapted for a German clientele). What I absolutely have to complain about is that the portion of the stews from the lunch menu is just as big/small as the portion from the à la menu! When I specifically asked, I was told that lunch was a small portion. False and lies. Unfortunately it's just a rip-off. What a shame!

I went to the restaurant based on the good reviews and really enjoyed my visit. My waiter's recommendation was lamb ragout with rice and raisins and it was really great. It was my first visit to an Afghan restaurant and it was a real hit. I love oriental cuisine because of the variety of spices and will now like to eat Afghan food more often. Thank you for the friendliness, the ambience in this great courtyard and the delicious food. 😛

Incredibly delicious 🤤 For dessert we had Creme Brulee and that was also very tasty. It's a shame that we're only visiting Lübeck. Otherwise we would probably be regular guests 😄

Unfortunately I don't understand the super good rating. I tested it myself based on the review and was unfortunately a bit disappointed. I thought the food was delicious it was honest home cooked food and was good. Unfortunately the portion size was anything but good, I ate the starter and main course and went home hungry, the manti was far too small for me personally (Main course) came on an elongated, narrow plate that was more reminiscent of a starter and I paid just under 20 euros for it. Especially with such hearty, hearty and absolutely delicious food, I would like to have more than 6-7 small pasta pockets on my plate, especially given the rather high prices. At the Italian restaurant I pay an average of 15 euros for a top pasta and get much larger ones portions. However, you also have to say very clearly that there are people for whom one portion is enough. A grown man definitely doesn't get his money's worth with a dish here, which is a shame!... Service seemed a bit overwhelmed. She complained that my friend had left her bag at the next table, which was completely fine, but maybe I would say it a little nicer next time. Otherwise everything was fine, no long waiting times, ambience clocky but charming. All in all, 2 points from me for people who want to be full and 4 for people who don't need much.

We chose Jawed's Remise because we had never tasted Afghan food. It was a good choice. Very, very delicious food, lovely atmosphere and very attentive and friendly service. We chose mixed starters and main courses, which we shared on the table and we, and the children, loved it all! Easy booking via email and quite reasonable prices. We will come again the next time we visit Lübeck.

Sehr gutes Essen, freundliche Bedienung und eine lockere Atmosphäre im Restaurant. Getränkepreise sollte man mal überdenken (0,75 Mineralwasser: 7,50 €, Hefeweizen 6,00 €...). Der Bereich der Küche und der Toiletten im Keller wirkt ein wenig überholungsbedürftig.

We were able to spontaneously get a table for 9 people. The restaurant is quietly located in a backyard and the atmosphere is open and cozy. The food was great and explained for people unfamiliar with the cuisine served. The service is absolutely outstanding; I have rarely experienced such friendly, courteous and patient service.

Unfortunately, the food is of mediocre quality, many dishes are stews that are just warmed up. We also had a worm in the few fresh ingredients that crawled straight towards us. The tiramisu was so old that even the waitress thought it was questionable. But the atmosphere is very nice.

Ich war mit meinen Eltern hier essen. Man sollte auf alle Fälle reservieren, sonst wird das nichts mit einem Platz. Wir hatten die Suppe und vegetarische Teigtaschen zur Vorspeise... Die super war suuuuuper lecker.. auch wenn sie einen Mü zu heiß war. Zum Hauptgang hatten wir alle drei Lamm... Das Ragout, die Haxe und das Kottlet. Das Kottlet war ok. Die Haxe und das Ragout waren einmalig! Zum Trinken hatte wir einen riesigen frischen Minztee! Noch nie so einen riesigen Tee bekommen! 😍

The good reviews made me curious. The visit was worth it! I had eggplant ragout with yogurt, rice with carmelized carrots and raisins. The ragout was extremely tasty and seasoned with a subtle spiciness. My husband ate bean ragout and was just as impressed.

Jaweds Remise ist ein recht kleine, gemütliches Restaurant in einem Innenhof auf der schönen Altstadtinsel. Der Außenbereich ist geschützt und ruhig, drinnen rustikal eingerichtet und gemütlich. Wir hatten ein Bohnenragout mit Mandel-Orangen-Reis, einen Burrata mit Tomaten und die vegetarischen Manti. Das Essen ist ausgesprochen lecker, voller exotischer und fruchtiger Aromen und Gewürze. Der Service ist war sehr schnell und aufmerksam, trotzdem locker. Auch wenn der Laden fast voll war, mussten wir kaum warten bis wir bedient wurden. Die Preise sind überdurchschnittlich, aber gemessen an der Qualität definitiv vertretbar. Für dasselbe Geld bekommt man anderswo Schnitzel aus der TK und eine Erfahrung, die an Systemgastronomie anmutet. Insgesamt wirklich ein tolles Restaurant, kann ich vorbehaltlos empfehlen.

This time we also tried the main courses and were thrilled. ❤️ We sat in the cozy courtyard, the restaurant is in the back building. It's also rustic and cozy inside.
