A very cozy bar-café in Friedberg. We tried wine here, which we liked so much that we immediately bought a bottle. The whiskey and espresso have also impressed us so far. The owner is very accommodating and his recommendations have been spot on with our tastes. The location is also great – you can park easily at the train station and then take a short walk up to the bar. It's especially nice to sit outside in front of the bar when the weather's nice, as Friedberg is such a lovely little town. ☕️🍷
Highly recommended.
We felt very comfortable. Nice restaurant with very friendly service. The selection of dishes is plentiful, and there's definitely something for everyone. The portions are generous and beautifully presented. It was delicious. We would love to come back.
This restaurant is amazing!
I've rarely eaten such delicious German food. You can tell it's real craftsmanship from a trained chef. Wherever this gentleman trained, it was worth it. Today I had Handkäse mit Musik (a type of German cheese with onions and caraway seeds) as a starter, which was so beautifully presented and created such a flavor explosion in my mouth that I almost wanted to order another starter. For my main course, I was satisfied with a classic Bauernschnitzel (farmer's schnitzel), which turned out to be the best Bauernschnitzel in all of Hesse, in my opinion. For dessert, I had the Spritzgebäck (a type of German pastry) shown in the picture, which was so incredibly delicious; I would say everyone has to try it!
The service was excellent – the ladies were fantastic. They know what they're doing, are lovely to look at, and always friendly. They anticipate your every need, and at the end, we were greeted by the owner himself, who thanked us for our visit – a rare gesture that truly sets this restaurant apart.

`` `` `` So, in conclusion, it's a complete loss that this restaurant, under the management of this esteemed man, is closing!
Thank you so much for the incredibly delicious food!
See you soon!

We had our company Christmas dinner at Le Golden Igel. All the tapas were delicious, and there was a great selection, especially for vegetarians. We felt completely at ease; the service was attentive and very friendly. A small restaurant with a fantastic atmosphere. We had a great time and will definitely be back!
An exceptional experience all around! From the moment we greeted you to the moment we left, the service was attentive, warm, and absolutely professional. The kitchen, under Kevin Fehling, is in a league of its own—every dish was an explosion of flavor. The atmosphere is elegant yet uncomplicated: Sitting at the long table counter with a view of the open kitchen, you feel like you're in the center of the action. A luxury you should treat yourself to. Many thanks to the entire team for an unforgettable evening!
Fantastic restaurant. We went there for dinner and didn't regret it. The food was great, and the drinks are really interesting (in a good way). The price-performance ratio is also good, the service is attentive and friendly; we will definitely come back!
We had our office New Year's dinner here yesterday. Excellent food, beautifully presented on the plates. A wide selection of drinks and attentive, friendly service. What more could you want?
The quality comes at a price, but you probably don't go here every week. A real culinary gem for Dortmund.
A very good Peruvian fine dining restaurant, deservedly listed in the Michelin Guide.
The restaurant is small and intimate with an open kitchen, so depending on your seat, you can easily watch the dishes being prepared. The overall ambiance is pleasant, though the tables are somewhat impractical, as the wide legs leave little legroom.
The menu is excellent and perfectly complemented by the wine pairings. You can also enhance the menu with additional items.
However, the menu is quite expensive, quickly reaching €250-300 per person. With numerous add-ons and drinks, the price can easily climb even higher. Therefore, it's best suited for special occasions, or as the Michelin Guide describes it, "For unique occasions."
Amazingly good atmosphere in a very small space.
You arrive as a guest and leave as a friend!
Delicious, varied, and exclusive.
That's how I like it.
It's almost a Michelin star.
