We've eaten here a few times. It's perfectly fine considering the proximity to the main train station—nothing earth-shattering, but always solid, and you can eat without worry. Unfortunately, it's not at all cozy downstairs, but upstairs is even more so, and there's even a separate prayer room!
A good, authentic little kebab shop that doesn't necessarily look like much from the outside. We ate there twice to compare the durum and the doner, and the doner is better.
A plus: the establishment is open even late at night, so it's perfect for a quick snack after a bar.
Upscale ambience, a large selection of Turkish cuisine, and good quality products. I must mention that we were there for the breakfast buffet. A glance at the menu caught my attention with the high prices, probably geared toward the Dortmund clientele. The restrooms are outdated, hence one star less for the ambiance.
10/10 Value for money
A decent amount of meat
BG atmosphere 10 out of 10. It's always like someone in the background is shouting, "What's your order?"
Edit: After the price increase, the value for money is no longer good.
Better go to Mazador Billstedt for 1 euro more.
More meat and a better skewer.
Unfortunately a disappointing experience. We had to wait 50 minutes for our food and despite repeated requests we didn't receive a date to break our fast. In the end they said our order was lost and we had to wait another 40-50 minutes. The service was disorganized – not recommended.
One of the worse kebabs I've eaten in my life. Ordered the kebab box, the meat wasn't recognizable as such, the fries were completely limp. Otherwise people were very nice and the atmosphere was good too.
