Köz Kebap in Duisburg

I stumbled upon this lovely restaurant by chance – personally served by the chef – with ribs and rice, as well as a delicious salad. I can highly recommend it.

I bought a doner kebab. It cost 8.20. Very expensive, nothing special, and a little meaty.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Average kebab, but quite expensive I got a kebab from Köz Kebap in Duisburg – it tasted okay, but at just under €9, it was honestly too expensive. The kebab was very salad-heavy, and the meat portions were rather sparing. I would have expected more for the price, especially considering the amount of meat. The quality is okay and the shop is clean, but the price-performance ratio isn't quite right in my opinion. Okay for a quick snack, but nothing particularly special.

Iskender was simply a doner kebab, no tomato sauce, no bread in it, 3 people, 60€, not at all

The food was tasteless. I ordered durum, it was without sauce, almost no meat, vegetables, cabbage, onions and carrots. It was not very tasty, I left hungry…(((

Very disappointing! I ordered two pides – one of which was completely burnt from the bottom (see photo). The second was supposed to be with cheese, but the one delivered was with meat. When I called, I was told there was nothing they could do, perhaps it was the driver's mistake. The order was delivered correctly to my address, and the receipt was correct. It's incomprehensible how anyone could even give a customer such a burnt pide.

They charged me for food I didn't order. After I mentioned it, the waitress insulted me in Turkish, using the swear word "Amanakojum." It was very rude and unprofessional for her to treat customers like that.

We waited around 40 minutes for the künefe, and when it finally arrived, it was lukewarm—almost cold. The syrup lacked sweetness, which made the dessert quite bland. In addition, we ordered tea, but the glasses it was served in were dirty. Overall, this was a disappointing experience. With some improvements in preparation time, temperature, sweetness, and cleanliness, this could have been much better.

There was hair in my food!!! We ate and drank outside. When we pointed out to the service person that there was hair in the food, he didn't react! Except sorry. Unfortunately, we only noticed this later when our plate was pretty empty. When we spoke to the boss, he said the hair came from outside. He had given us a drink. See photos

I paid for a kebab plate for €12.50 with a card, which seemed expensive to me. I just couldn't find the price on the board. Later I saw on the menu online that the kebab plate only costs €8.50. I'll never go there again, especially not recommend it to others. I hope the few euros were worth it for a bad review.

Hello everyone, Unfortunately I have to write this complaint because it really isn't possible. We ordered a kebab and wrote in the comment that only meat should be on it and no vegetables or sauce. Unfortunately, due to an allergy, I can only eat it like this. We have always been there and were always happy there. Today we ordered online for the first time and unfortunately it didn't work. We called them as soon as the wrong order arrived and were told that they would apologize, which was okay, and would send us a new one. Unfortunately, after waiting again for over an hour, nothing has come and we have tried to call there again 6 times and now it is always busy. Unfortunately we didn't get a new kebab and didn't get any money back. Unfortunately there was also far too little rice in the other dish. We will never go there again and unfortunately we can no longer recommend Köz. Unfortunately this is very bad service. I have now paid for food that I cannot eat. Thank you for nothing

I'm currently in Duisburg twice a week for work, and I go to Köz almost every time. The food is amazing and the service is outstanding, everyone is very nice, and Semra, in particular, is a ray of sunshine. Absolutely recommend it!

Very good service and good quality

I've been to Köz Kebap 4 times and I really enjoyed the food every time. I can recommend the Adana or Köfte plate.

I've had both good and bad experiences here: Every time I have eaten at the restaurant I have had a pleasant experience. I enjoyed the food very much. I can particularly recommend the charcoal grilled dishes. As a pleasant surprise, the Adana kebab included plenty of fresh salad. The rice was delicious, but the highlight was of course the sauces and the meat. The service was always polite and courteous. At Köz you have the choice of eating outside or inside. If the weather is good, I would recommend the outdoor area. The restaurant is clean and there are enough seats. However, the ambience inside seems a bit dreary to me. On the negative side: At Köz there is also the option of ordering a kebab "to hand". I did exactly that one early lunchtime a few weeks ago. The employee who served me seemed very stressed, even though I was his only customer at the time. While “building” the kebab, he didn’t ask me a single question. As a result, I just got “any” kebab, but not the one I had in mind. Something like this has never happened to me at a kebab restaurant in my entire life. The kebab itself was okay, but nothing to rave about. Because of this experience, I cut back on the review in the hope that something would improve.

Unfortunately my visit to this restaurant was extremely disappointing. Both the service and the hygiene left a lot to be desired. The quality of the food was questionable and it's definitely not a place I would recommend. If you value health, you should give this restaurant a wide berth.

Doner on hand was very good and the meat tasted great.

I can't understand the bad reviews at all. The kebab plate was outstanding, I have never eaten better meat from a Turk anywhere else. Meze starters were also great, the bread was really fantastic. Service was super nice. Thank you for the experience, we would love to come back.

I ate lentil soup and döner here. Overall above average. But they could be more attentive. I would say it is somewhere between professionalism and amateurism. The soup is drinkable, but I think the döner kebab is not bad. I can recommend you to eat doner here.

I came here 3 times this week. I ordered kebab box (without fries and salad) 3 times. In short: taste was okay, preparation was also quick. But what actually annoyed me was that they said different prices all three times. For the first it cost 6.00, for the second 6.50.00 and for the third 7.00 (all plus an extra 0.20.00 for the card). And each time I asked the price again if they were sure They discussed it again and agreed. I can't imagine that this is the right thing to do. The prices on the tables are definitely out of date. For this reason I won't eat there anymore, even though it's very close to my place of work and that's why it's even more annoying to have such an 0815 number pulled through. Just wanted to eat koefte without any side dish. Apparently no problem. Afterwards I had to pay the entire menu of €15 for 4 meat meatballs. But I could also take the menu which I didn't want. The food was also too salty. Be careful with special requests

We were passing by and wanted to try it and honestly not a disappointment at all! The waitress is very very nice, smiling and also speaks English. The food is also delicious, the bread is very different from that in France it is a little crunchy, for the price and the quantity it is worth it, because we took a single kebab in large size and it was really very large . The only unfortunate thing is that for the “sandwich” category, there is only one menu, for example for the durums we don’t have a menu so you have to buy the drink and the fries and that must surely make it more expensive than if it was a menu so perhaps offering customers the option to choose alone or as a menu would be cool (if that is not already the case). I really recommend!

The tail fat of Adana kebab can be reduced a little, but it is still a good kebab under German conditions.

So let's start from the beginning, first we had to wait 20 minutes for our food, my partner got something to eat first and I had to wait another 10 minutes for my food, while his food then logically got cold you eat together in a restaurant. In any case, I wanted a salad without onion. What can I get with a salad made from onions! Tzatziki ended up on my partner's plate, which he didn't want at all, salad ended up on my partner's plate, which he didn't want at all. I didn't touch my meat because it wasn't even fried, lest I get food poisoning! Staff unfriendly totally overwhelmed with the work even though it wasn't full. Standing there with pen and paper and writing down a completely different order than what I said! You have to be careful not to get stolen while you eat, as the Djangos are everywhere. When I got up, there was a purple stain on my white pants on the back of my leg. Unfortunately I didn't take a photo of the food. If I could give 0 stars I would have! All in all, we won't be visiting this store again.

If I could, I would give ZERO stars!!! We ONLY had 2 orders, for which we waited over half an hour. My two little children were so hungry and had to endure it. When I asked where the food was, I was told "yes, you ordered Ali Nazik and it's taking so long because of the eggplant."?!!? Hello ?!?! Then came my "Ali Nazik" but it was anything but Ali Nazik. My meal consisted of 70% yogurt, 20% eggplant and 5-6 pieces of meatballs. It was so outrageously decorated. Simply roughly chopped aubergine, slapped yoghurt on it and lots of fat on top. Not really seasoned. Then I asked the waitress about it, but she said that's how they serve it. I asked her to speak to her boss about it because I refused to pay an additional €15.90 for such a plate. Later she came and said the boss also had the same opinion and that I had to pay the money. The gentleman didn't even bother to come to the table and look at the plate. How outrageous!! Here you can see that he only cares about the money, although he always says "THE CUSTOMER IS THE KING!!!!" I also told the lady that I would leave a negative review. AND PLEASE ; HERE SHE IS. I wish I had taken a picture but I was so angry that I unfortunately didn't think of it until much later. It was our last visit there. I won't even accept napkins from a boss like that for free! Very rude and rude. I also unfortunately had to see that the dirty tables were being cleaned dirty with a dirty rag and minimal food residue fell onto the chairs. So we advise against it for everyone!

If you have a break in the late afternoon, you think so, you'll get half a kebab because you haven't been able to eat anything all day. Order half a kebab with chicken + extra meat with everything to take away. Then go to the break room, unpack the kebab and what's in it? Veal. The half kebab only felt like it weighed 300 grams. It's an absolute disgrace. I will avoid this store from now on. The employees were also disrespectful towards customers and I had to wait almost 10 minutes for my food. Here you can eat real Turkish charcoal dishes. Recommended. Small and noisy places as if you were really in Turkey.

I can't understand the good reviews. This restaurant probably only survives because of the location. Years ago I had dinner there with several friends, the food wasn't good and we all thought so and everyone ordered almost something different. You don't get your food at the same table at the same time, which you have to be able to do. Other restaurants are also busy and can manage it. On my second visit I waited over 40 minutes for my order and our food was given to the table next to us because she mentioned exactly what I wanted and the customer said he only wanted that, but it was ok , because they had already waited 20 minutes for the food. We got up and left because we hadn't received anything after 40 minutes. Then years later I went there with my mother because we were walking past and she wanted to eat something. We ordered Adana Wrap, Kebab Menu and Rice Pilaf. The rice pilaf was dry. One is ashamed to bring it. How can a small child eat it? Also, a spoon is brought with the rice. It is not a cutlery. Ordered kuzu skewer and chicken skewer today. Unfortunately it didn't taste good, you should definitely work on the recipe. Otherwise service was good so far.

⚠️ Achtung ⚠️ ich habe mir ein döner teller mit scharfskässe bestellt. Habe die Verkäufer zugar drauf hingewiesen ob sie scharfskässe herein gemacht haben sie haben mit ja gestimmt. Was ich auch nicht abschreiten kann. Aber jetzt haltet euch fest es war ein Mini Stück. Außerdem habe ich gefragt was für ein Fleisch sie verkaufen am döner Spieß. Da haben sie mir gesagt das es kalb Fleisch ist. Also Leute es war alles adere aber kein Kalb Fleisch Außerdem war das Fleisch noch zum Teil roh. Da ich als prüfungstechniker viel in Deutschland rum komme und schon viele döner laden ausprobiert habe kann ich nur eins sagen das das der schlächteste war denn ich gegesen habe. Außerdem preis Leistung stimmt auch nicht überein.

Zeer mooi tentje en classic restaurant. Super leukepersoneel mooi diversiteit. We hebben lekker kurdish gerechten gegeten smaak naar meer. De tafel was klaar en de service was snel en loopt een super leuke vriendelijke dame het eten duurde even voordat het eten arriveerde, maar dat is te vergeven want het is de moeite waard gezien het aantal gasten en ook aandacht aan het eten. We hadden niets te klagen over het eten of de service. Het was een hele leuke avond en we komen graag nog eens terug! Dast xosh 🫶

Ich war jetzt des öfteren da und muss. Sagen der Döner schmeckt an manchen Tagen garnicht , mal OK und mal gut.. Mal ist das Brot labrig,mal knusprig mal alt, das Fleisch manchmal kalt mal warm. Die Tomaten sind immer mehlig... Und direkt zum Jahreswechsel ist der Döner von 6,50 auf 7 Euro gestiegen und bin mir sicher dieses Jahr geht der auf 7,50 Für 7 Euro ist auf dem Döner wirklich wenig drauf. Was mir auch aufgefallen ist , in fast allen Döner Buden kommt am Ende nochmal. Fleisch oben drauf hier ist das nicht so... Gleicht eh schon einer Schnitte 😂 Wie schon in den Kommentaren hier erwähnt sind diese Leute auch sehr unfreundlich bzw bei einem ist mir das extrem aufgefallen.. die Frauen dort sind zb sehr nett und freundlich...

Katastrophe, dass Essen ist zwar verdaubar aber den Service hätten sie in der Heimat lassen können.

Die Bedienung ist miserabel! Ohne nachzuschauen hieß es, es gibt keine freien Tische. Gab es dann aber doch. Bis die Bestellung aufgenommen wurde, sind die Kellner 15mal an uns vorbei gelaufen. Bestellt habe ich Lamm Spieß Teller mit Bulgur Reis! So was ähnliches wie Lamm war auf dem Teller... Geschmeckt hat es wie kautschuk. Bulgur gab es nicht mehr also wurde normaler Reis beigegeben ohne zufragen ob ich nicht lieber Pommes hätte. Um ganz sicher zu gehen haben Sie auch Pommes mit dabei getan und endlos viel Brot. Und alles in Kalt! 16€ fürs nicht satt werden habe ich selten bezahlt. Ich habe natürlich auch erstmal Bescheid gegeben dass auf einem Teller Gericht mehr Fleisch sein sollte als in einem Dürüm zum mitnehmen, was nur die Hälfte kostet und dass ich eigentlich Bulgur wollte! Der Kellner hat dann mein Teller mitgenommen und genauso wieder zurück gebracht. Mit der Erklärung, Fleisch ist richtig so und Bulgur ist keins mehr da. Fragt auch hinterher keiner wie es geschmeckt hat und es sagt auch niemand dass man wieder kommen soll. Anscheinend kennen Sie selbst schon die Antworten darauf

Dieses Restaurant überlebt wahrscheinlich nur wegen der Lage. Bedienung ist unfreundlich und genervt, leider nicht nur einmal. Das Essen ist absoluter Durchschnitt, je nach Gericht auch schlechter. Weniger Meter weiter findet man bedeutend bessere Alternativen.

Die Lage ist mitten in der Stadt, der Service ist gut, die Sauberkeit ist auch gut und das Personal aus Arbeitern und Vorgesetzten empfängt die Kunden mit einem Lächeln und einem Willkommensgruß

Mir hat der Döner Kebab gut geschmeckt. Es hätte aber gerne etwas mehr Fleisch drin sein können. Dieses dünne Brot ist für mich etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig aber leider verbreitet es sich ja immer mehr.

Das letzte mal dass wir hier bestellen. Das Essen kam an, kalt, lief aus, und dann das Ganze ohne den extra dazu bestellten Reis. Als wir anriefen wurde und erstmal gesagt wir hätten keinen Reis bestellt. Haben wir also nochmal überprüft und siehe da, Reis steht dabei. Wir also nochmal angerufen, nochmal gesagt wir hatten Reis bestellt, nur um gesagt zu bekommen dass wir falsch bestellt hätten, bei dem Gericht gibt es kein Reis, unsere Aussagen stimmen nicht, etc. So unhöflichen service hatten wir schon lange nicht mehr. Also für den Kollegen der meinte wir haben nichts dazu bestellt, hier dein Beweis. Danke und bis nie wieder.

Die Behandlung für Kunden, die nicht ihre Sprache sprechen, war sehr schlecht. Es schien, als würden sie davon ausgehen, dass wir kein Deutsch verstehen, und versuchten uns zweimal zu einer teureren Option zu drängen.

Super freundliches Personal und leckeres Essen, u.a. vom Holzkohlegrill. Immer wieder gerne.

Ich hatte zu Mittag gegessen und eine Linsensuppe mit Brot und Zitrone erhalten. Mitten in DU City. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Eine tolle Überraschung! Kann ich ich gerne weiter empfehen.

Habe online bei wolt bestellt hatte einen großen Döner und eine türkische Pizza mit allem. Angekommen ist leider ein kleiner Döner und eine türkische Pizza ohne allem beim anrufen wurde mir dann erklärt dass ja die Preise teurer geworden sind und man so in diesem Restaurant handelt. Obwohl ich höflich ja angerufen habe, wurde mir aber nicht geholfen. Das Geld habe ich bezahlt und kriege ich nicht mehr wieder.

Rundum unzufrieden. Service im Schnellimbiss Restaurant miserabel und der Kundenumgang - bodenlos. Das Brot vom Döner ist zu dünn und zerfällt direkt. Reine Massenabfertigung, Quantität statt Qualität.

Einer der schlechtesten in ganz Duisburg sogar eventuell in NRW! Hab mir ein Dönerteller bestellt. Fleisch komplett verbrannt , so als würde man Chips essen. Pommes sehr labberig. Der Kellner wollte mir kein Brot zu meinem Dönerteller bringen, weil ich mir nichts zum trinken dazu kaufen wollte. Bevor ich mein Dönerteller bekommen habe fragte ich ob der mit viel dönerfleisch mir es servieren können, der Mitarbeiter fragte mich darauf hin ob ich dönerfleisch im Preis von 2-5 Euro dazu zahlen werde dann. Was ist das bitte für ein unverschämtes lades ???? Das war insgesamt die 2 Chance das dieser Laden bekommen hat. Somit werde ich es NIEWIEDER besuchen und werde jeden abraten zu essen!!! Am besten 0 Sterne vergeben!

J’aurais pu mettre 5 étoiles… La nourriture est incroyable, rien à voir avec les kebab que nous connaissons en France, la viande est très goûteuse et n’est pas grasse, la galette cuite au feu de bois un peu farineuse, un délice ! J’ai goûté une sauce orange que je n’avais jamais goûté, un peu sucrée, c’était délicieux, pas beaucoup de choix en légumes mais c’est convenable. On mange très bien et manger dehors sur la terrasse est très agréable ! Nous sommes français et nous nous efforçons de parler Anglais afin de nous faire comprendre car nous ne maîtrisons pas l’allemand. Le vendeur nous a dit qu’il parlait un peu anglais mais n’a fait aucun effort pour parler anglais ou essayer de nous faire comprendre les choses ! (Alors que la vendeuse d’à côté est 20ans plus âgée et nous a compris et servit avec le sourire !) On avait un peu l’impression d’être de trop, le serveur avait l’air très fatigué et personne ne nous a donné ne serait-ce qu’un « dunke » ou un sourire. Peut être est ce l’ambiance allemande ? Mais chez nous la gentillesse et l’amabilité sont très importantes ! D’où mes 3 étoiles au lieu de 5… En résumé, si vous voulez très bien manger, que vous maîtrisez l’allemand, foncez-y c’est délicieux. Si vous ne parlez pas allemand, et que vous voulez juste bien manger vous pouvez y aller aussi mais ne vous attendez pas à un accueil chaleureux.

Anscheinend haben die Kellner und Kellnerinnen absolut keinen Bock Gäste zu bedienen. Habe am Eingang den dort stehenden Kellner begrüßt und bin reingegangen. Es sind Sage und Schreibe 20 Minuten Lang Kellner an mir vorbei gegangen ohne das mir einer eine Karte oder zu Bestellen angeboten hat. Nach 20 Minuten bin ich dann gegangen. Auf dem Weg nach draußen hat auch niemand was gesagt oder gefragt. Hab schon vieles erlebt aber ich werde mich in einem Restaurant in dem mehrere Kellner dumm rumm stehen und untereinander rumschnattern nicht dazu bewegen lassen das ich zur Kasse gehe um zu betteln das ich doch bitte etwas bestellen darf. Mein Partner und ich gehen hier oft und regelmäßig essen. Der Döner ist Top, noch besser ist es aber wenn man tatsächlich dort isst. Die Pide ist den Preis mehr als wert, mein Freund liebt das überbackene Dönerfleisch.

Nette Leute, gutes Essen. Nicht nur 08/15-Döner, sondern auch Spieße vom Grill. Lecker

Lange Warte Zeit Personal komplett überfordert, falsches Essen gebracht, meinte Felsenfest das hätte ich bestellt. 11.90 Euro Kann ich nicht empfehlen

Gehen sie hier NIEMALS essen ! SEHR unfreundliche Mitarbeiter und sehr unhygienisch. Gesundheitsamt wird Informiert !!!
