We came from Cologne with great enthusiasm to have breakfast. But it's a total disappointment. You're so careless. Everything was prepared without care and placed in front of you. Everything is ice cold, the tomatoes in Menemen are not even peeled. The thermos in which tea is served is entirely inside. Apart from these, the staff is very noisy and they do not care whether there are guests or customers there. In short, a complete disappointment.

Even the fish is excellently prepared – an absolute recommendation! Unfortunately, the taste of the hummus was not convincing, so one star was deducted. Otherwise a clear recommendation for good Turkish food!

We were greeted very friendly and shown to our place. We were able to order our food pretty quickly there. It was difficult to choose because there are so many delicious dishes on the menu! All of us (10 people) had our dishes in front of us within 10 minutes, which were all beautifully presented. The breads and dips while we waited were delicious! The main courses were quite large portions, so everyone was full👍🏻 Everyone enjoyed it wonderfully, no one had anything to complain about. The lighting in the evening looks beautiful, the atmosphere is great. You should definitely reserve a table on the weekend. We recently had the chance to dine at Restaurant Roqqa in Duisburg, and what a wonderful experience it was! The online reservation via Google was very smooth and user-friendly. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff, which immediately created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The atmosphere in the restaurant is fantastic. The interior is modern and stylish, with attention to details, which gives it a luxurious and at the same time homely feeling. We chose the mixed grill, and it was truly excellent! The meat was tender, perfectly prepared and wonderfully seasoned. It was abundantly clear that a lot of care is taken in the quality and preparation of the dishes. In addition, the service deserves a big compliment. The staff were attentive, polite and always up for a smile, which made our evening even more enjoyable. In short, Restaurant Roqqa is highly recommended. If we travel to Germany from the Netherlands again, a visit to Roqqa is definitely on our agenda. A real winner! Thanks for the great evening!

Good Turkish restaurant. The selection is large, the service is unobtrusive and the food came quickly. The portions are decent, the food was tasty and the prices are fair. The ambience under the water tower is great, but there was always something very intrusively humming inside (cooling? compressor?). The tables are a bit close together and the ventilation was a bit too strong. You can still go again.

The restaurant was okay overall, but the food wasn't impressive. For the price I would have expected more, both in terms of selection and quality. The parking lot is a big problem: very narrow, with only about 10 spaces, and you have to go in and back out. The ambience was good, but the other points bring the rating down. Hence 3 stars.

On the subject of food, everyone has different tastes. I still missed the roasted flavors and it was too unsalted. There was a salt mill, but a pepper mill was missing. 5. I ordered my steak medium, but unfortunately it was medium rare.

Had dinner here with a group of friends, evening meal was excellent! Ate Mixed Grill, delicious, the adana is nice and spicy. I would say do it if you are in the area.

The atmosphere is simply great and the team is super friendly, polite and very personable. The food is super tasty, we had breakfast once and the chicken cutlets were fantastic.

Unfortunately a pure disappointment when it comes to service. Since the portions were large, we asked for our food to be packed. The “shells” were then placed in front of us to transport and we were told that we would pack them ourselves. So the three of us sat at the table and scraped the leftover food off our plates in the middle of the restaurant. When we said: this is the first time that we have to pack our own food, we replied that other restaurants don't even offer packing. Apart from the disastrous hospitality, it is more than embarrassing to be handling plastic plates among the other guests. Tea and other things weren't offered anyway. It is definitely the last time in this restaurant, and I will also advise against this restaurant from now on.

Employees unfriendly. Even though you made a reservation several weeks in advance, you suddenly can't find the reservation. I asked two days in advance whether my reservation still existed. I was told on the phone that it still existed. In the end we still got a table but it was very unprofessional. When we got our food, we were asked whether we could change our seats as a larger group of people would be coming. The waiter/employee spoke to us wearing a Nike jogging suit, which also didn't come across as professional. In the end we were forced to leave our place. We decided to pay and leave. It's a shame for such a shop. Maybe the staff should be better trained to treat guests more politely. For us it was the first and last visit to this store.

I am the son of a Turkish gastro family business called Türkiye pazarı on Händelstr. In Cologne. I grew up in this restaurant and learned what quality, taste and service mean. The Roqqa Steakhouse is highly recommended in all of these respects. In my 34 years of life, the steakhouse belongs in first place. We come here with family and friends especially from Cologne.

Unfortunately, the breakfast has deteriorated significantly compared to before. The taste we loved so much is no longer the same. Our group has come here regularly in the past, but given this disappointing change we are unlikely to return in the future. The main dishes such as chicken soup, rice and the starters have also lost quality and unfortunately no longer meet the previous standard. A really big disappointment.

Such a nice restaurant but everything else was disappointing. The side dish of fries in a shop like this, broken fries, was disappointing. Ketchup mayo on the table was empty, so you have to check the writing on the mayo and you couldn't read it anymore. Cutlery was bent 😂. There was even a hair in the food. The extremely positive reviews led us to Roqqa Duisburg yesterday. I was full of euphoria when I saw the place, how great it looked. The service was friendly. Unfortunately, my chicken skewer plate was anything but customer-friendly. I have never had such a plate of chicken skewers on the table (CHILD PORTION for an adult.) Salad is always served with a grill plate. There was neither a small nor a large one here! Ayran is by far the worst we have ever drunk. It almost tasted like water. My husband's grilled chicken in curry cream sauce included fine pieces of bone, which hung down his throat for free. Overpriced. We're happy to leave money, but the quality must also be there. Positive reviews are absolutely incomprehensible! In Duisburg we recommend the Ankara Restaurant. Everything is really great here. You don't have a waterfall, but you have a very nice boss, nice staff and good, tasty portions. You could also go to Aladdin, but first in Ankara.

So there wasn't much to complain about, but for me as a cook you should leave it alone with the side dishes for the steak 😉 Since only Halal meat is processed here, homemade Ayran and typical Turkish cuisine are available, the restaurant is very popular among Muslims. There is also a café with plenty of seating for large and small celebrations.

However, the T-bone steak was disappointing, especially for the price. I ordered medium-well and it was completely cooked through and a bit tough. Bread was teeth-breaking and chewy. Never again, there is something better in every corner of Duisburg... and cheaper.

My experience at the 'Roqqa Steakhouse Restaurant' in Duisburg was unfortunately disappointing. The service left much to be desired; Even though there were plenty of free spots, I was placed near the bushes. I was gone within an hour, which is not the experience you expect from a restaurant of this caliber. The food was very disappointing. All grill dishes were grilled for too long and the portions of the mixed grill were particularly small, especially compared to what I am used to from other Turkish restaurants. The only positive thing about my visit was the homemade ayran, which was really unique and worth it. Overall, I thought the restaurant is over-hyped on social media. I would give it a 3/5 star rating, and I personally won't be back anytime soon.

Everything seemed a bit chaotic, but I can still understand that now. It just takes a while for a new restaurant to get established. Unfortunately the promised patio heater didn't work. After a while we were given blankets. Despite the high number of guests, the waiting time was short and the service was very attentive, although unfortunately I was given the wrong drink. Unfortunately, the eggplants listed on the menu were missing from my friend's meal. My food was hot and very tasty. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and we will definitely come back again. I hope that the small errors will be ironed out and the quality of the food will remain good.

Unfortunately the blue water is deep green, the staff at the entrance tend to overlook it, but otherwise it's okay. We were there for brunch and some of it was tasty, the rest was okay. Pretty solid, but nothing special. But the “pond” needs to be cleaned urgently.

I recently ate at this restaurant and was unfortunately very disappointed with my experience. We ordered a medium steak, but it was served well done. When we complained that we were expecting a medium rare steak, we were simply told that we could still eat it. Another incident occurred when the waiter dropped a glass on the table, resulting in one person in our group cutting his hand. There was neither an apology nor an appropriate response to this incident. At the beginning of our visit, bread and dips were put on the table without asking. In many restaurants this is a free gesture, but here we were charged for it without prior information. We found this practice extremely irritating and unprofessional. Unfortunately, the entire service was consistently unfriendly and unaccommodating. Because of these negative experiences, I will not visit this restaurant again and cannot recommend it
