Highly recommended Great service very attentive Food was great

I ordered STROGANOFF BONFILE (No. 76), food was good until I bit on a plastic part the size of a thumbnail. Sharp-edged and really dangerous. Asked the waiter to explain, but all he could say was "Hmmm, I can't explain it." There was no "how can we make this up to you" or "it's on the house" nothing like that. Full payment was then required. Well, I can only hope that this doesn't happen to anyone else. I won't see the store again and I won't recommend it to anyone else.

Very nicely set up, right next to the water tower. The food has always been great, even bread and dip (very delicious) were given as gifts because something was missing. Definitely not a simple kebab shop like you find on every corner. The prices are perfectly reasonable for the quality of the food.

Such a nice restaurant but everything else was disappointing. The side dish of fries in a shop like this, broken fries, was disappointing. Ketchup mayo on the table was empty, so you have to check the writing on the mayo and you couldn't read it anymore. Cutlery was bent 😂. There was even a hair in the food. But the waiter was immediately ready to exchange it. Hygiene at the table was not as it should be. Overall rating scale 0-10 from me 5

The Roqqa restaurant completely convinced me. The atmosphere is stylish and cozy, the service attentive and friendly. The dishes were excellently prepared, I was particularly impressed by the fresh ingredients and the creative flavors. An all-round successful culinary experience that I definitely recommend!

It has a very nice location, the staff is friendly and it is very clean. I think it would be great if you made the pool clean and clear, but it tends to create the appearance of dirty water and the idea that the inside might be dirty too.

My husband and I go out for Turkish food at least once every week. We have our regular restaurants, but we wanted to try something new. The extremely positive reviews led us to Roqqa Duisburg yesterday. I was full of euphoria when I saw the place, how great it looked. The service was friendly. Unfortunately, my chicken skewer plate was anything but customer-friendly. I have never had such a plate of chicken skewers on the table (CHILD PORTION for an adult.) Salad is always served with a grill plate. There was neither a small nor a large one here! Ayran is by far the worst we have ever drunk. It almost tasted like water. My husband's grilled chicken in curry cream sauce included fine pieces of bone, which hung down his throat for free. Overpriced. We're happy to leave money, but the quality must also be there. Positive reviews are absolutely incomprehensible! In Duisburg we recommend the Ankara Restaurant. Everything is really great here. You don't have a waterfall, but you have a very nice boss, nice staff and good, tasty portions. You could also go to Aladdin, but first in Ankara.

So the atmosphere is great, very inviting and cozy, the service is a bit overwhelmed but very nice. About the food: the steaks were very tasty and tender, even if there was no herb butter or black pepper. It should be mentioned that it is the first restaurant where a 300 gr. Fillet steak costs less than a 250g rump steak😅 So, but the Champions Sauce that was served didn't work at all. Instant sauce with 2 slices of canned mushrooms. Then the vegetables, completely overcooked and already dark from being kept warm for so long. The rosemary potatoes were half jacket potatoes with no taste at all. So there wasn't much to complain about, but for me as a cook you should leave it alone with the side dishes for the steak 😉 Since only Halal meat is processed here, homemade Ayran and typical Turkish cuisine are available, the restaurant is very popular among Muslims. There is also a café with plenty of seating for large and small celebrations.

Great atmosphere and the location is really wonderful. We sat right by the water. There are good parking options directly at the location. The cheeseburger was delicious and my recommendation. However, the T-bone steak was disappointing, especially for the price. I ordered medium-well and it was completely cooked through and a bit tough. The waiter made an effort but it was just too busy so we couldn't order our dessert because it was getting late.

It was my first and last time there, you can expect a lot more for the prices, the pool needs to be cleaned and the tables outside were stained. Mixed grill plate was not worth the price! It tasted more cooked overnight than grilled. On the menu the steaks are listed by weight in grams. Does this refer to the steak served before or after cooking?? My steak was easily 1/3 missing. Bread was teeth-breaking and chewy. Never again, there is something better in every corner of Duisburg... and cheaper.

My experience at the 'Roqqa Steakhouse Restaurant' in Duisburg was unfortunately disappointing. The service left much to be desired; Even though there were plenty of free spots, I was placed near the bushes. The atmosphere was disturbed by the presence of many flies, which made it difficult to enjoy the meal. I was gone within an hour, which is not the experience you expect from a restaurant of this caliber. The food was very disappointing. All grill dishes were grilled for too long and the portions of the mixed grill were particularly small, especially compared to what I am used to from other Turkish restaurants. The only positive thing about my visit was the homemade ayran, which was really unique and worth it. Overall, I thought the restaurant is over-hyped on social media. I would give it a 3/5 star rating, and I personally won't be back anytime soon.

I had breakfast there yesterday with my girlfriend, what we got for breakfast was just ridiculous. We paid €15 per person and got a breakfast worth a maximum of €7. That's really ridiculous and sad

Update: Yesterday we visited the restaurant again, it was not very busy. The food was, as always, very good! However, the calculation was wrong! We were charged for a burger from the next table (€11). This shouldn't actually happen! Update: After visiting the restaurant shortly after it opened, I now paid it another visit and have to upgrade my rating by one star. The service, the friendliness of the staff and the food are excellent. The initial "mistakes" have been ironed out, there is nothing to complain about! New Turkish restaurant with delicious cuisine...but not everything is working smoothly yet. The restaurant was very busy, unfortunately we had to sit outside. Everything seemed a bit chaotic, but I can still understand that now. It just takes a while for a new restaurant to get established. Unfortunately the promised patio heater didn't work. After a while we were given blankets. Despite the high number of guests, the waiting time was short and the service was very attentive, although unfortunately I was given the wrong drink. Unfortunately, the eggplants listed on the menu were missing from my friend's meal. My food was hot and very tasty. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and we will definitely come back again. I hope that the small errors will be ironed out and the quality of the food will remain good.

Unfortunately the blue water is deep green, the staff at the entrance tend to overlook it, but otherwise it's okay. We were there for brunch and some of it was tasty, the rest was okay. Pretty solid, but nothing special. But the “pond” needs to be cleaned urgently.

Were there for breakfast. Service was simply overwhelmed because it was understaffed. A lot of things were served too late. Not really wow in terms of taste but not bad either. The location is really nice and spacious. It's a shame that they don't do more with it.

The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, and service was quick and efficient. The breakfast was excellent. In particular, the menemen, a traditional Turkish dish with eggs, tomatoes, peppers and spices, was delicious and perfectly prepared. There was also a nice selection of fresh bread and a delicious type of tea that went wonderfully with the food. Overall, my breakfast at Roqqa Steakhouse was a thoroughly successful experience. I will definitely come back and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy a first class Turkish breakfast!

I recently ate at this restaurant and was unfortunately very disappointed with my experience. We ordered a medium steak, but it was served well done. When we complained that we were expecting a medium rare steak, we were simply told that we could still eat it. Another incident occurred when the waiter dropped a glass on the table, resulting in one person in our group cutting his hand. There was neither an apology nor an appropriate response to this incident. At the beginning of our visit, bread and dips were put on the table without asking. In many restaurants this is a free gesture, but here we were charged for it without prior information. We found this practice extremely irritating and unprofessional. Unfortunately, the entire service was consistently unfriendly and unaccommodating. Because of these negative experiences, I will not visit this restaurant again and cannot recommend it

Flop dinner at Restaurant Roqqa, DuisburgToday my three friends and I were at Restaurant Roqqa in Duisburg and our culinary experience was a real belly landing. The french fries? More like concrete blocks - obviously old remains that have been dragged through the grease a second time. The waiters can't help this mess in the kitchen, but their reaction wasn't exactly helpful either. Just a hint that more of it was on the way – as if we wanted another round of stone fries! With such a lack of culinary quality, all we can say is: Maybe those responsible should consider selling three-series BMWs. Quality definitely has to be different, you would-be restaurateurs! Our conclusion: A chic ambience and expensive porcelain do not necessarily make for good food. Quality is different!

I recommend you reserve a table, especially if you want to dine by the pool in nice weather. The beauty of the ambiance, the smiling faces of the employees and the deliciousness of the food are worth visiting.

Despite a reservation, we waited over an hour for service and an order. If we had even been served and placed the order, we would have definitely waited another hour for the food. Asked about it several times, no response. That's why we left the restaurant. The staff is quite overwhelmed and therefore unfriendly. Apart from the nice ambience, not recommended.

Breakfast is definitely not recommended here. Even though we waited almost an hour for our breakfast, something was still missing. The waiters are overwhelmed and disorganized and have no idea what is missing. The kitchen also can't keep up with the orders. 5 loaves of bread for 15 people. Then wait again 🙄 and ask again. Unfortunately, the breakfast itself wasn't good either. Nutella and jam like in the hospital. Cheese from the cheapest and there was no sausage at all. Scrambled eggs totally dry. You have to pay extra for juices if you want to get some. But the worst was the Turkish tea. From the thermos. A shame. One pot for 15 people. There are better options. Breakfast costs €13.90. But it's not worth it. Not again.

So there was no salad beforehand. Meze before eating was no more than a tablespoon on the bowl. Grill plate (Karışık ızgara) I personally missed a chicken wing and chicken fillet. I still got full because I ate half of my wife's menu (Köfte plate, which was completely ok.) Didn't have to wait long for our order. Service was very friendly. We were impressed by the ambience, as it is actually located at 0815 Street in Duisburg. I happened to see Roqqa online and thought to myself, I could do it, but I don't think I would say again from Essen: "Today we're going to Roqqa." as there are better alternatives in Essen and the surrounding area. As I said, it's just my opinion. 👍🏻

Only bad. The lamb was tough... all dishes are pre-cooked and only served hot. Overpriced and despite complaining twice, we weren't even offered tea. We paid 100 euros for mass processing.

The waiters are very helpful I ate Turkish delight, not much, but I didn't like it at all. Since we didn't have a reservation, they told us to sit by the pool. The pool was very dirty and there was a fountain, so every time the wind blew, that dirty water was splashing into the food on the table, they did not turn it off even though we warned them. Terrible experience, will definitely not go again.

Went there with a friend on a public holiday at around 3 p.m. The waiters looked at us very strangely. No “welcome” but we were asked what we wanted here (we really weren’t dressed like homeless people). The shop was completely empty. Then asked if they were available today. No, they didn't. We then sat down somewhere ourselves. After 20 minutes (even though the shop was empty!!!!!) the waiter came and took our order. Unfortunately, the food was only lukewarm. It didn't taste particularly good either. Meat was too hard and dry. Wasn't quite finished with my food and another waitress started clearing away. I do not get it. The store was empty even after we walked out… so why the rush?

It was our first visit and we were looking forward to a cozy and high quality meal. The ambience seems high-quality at first, but the chairs were hard, the table was very wobbly, and the seating was very cramped for two people. Food: Starter Meze was ok. Main course: Ali Nazik and rump steak. Ali Nazik was completely treated with meat, some of which only contained pieces of fat, cruelly - half was left over. In other people's pictures I see significantly more side dishes as well as a grilled corn on the cob - mine included 5 pieces of half mini potatoes, 3 pieces of buttered vegetables and this clumpy sauce. Salt shaker was very tiring as it was hardly possible for the salt to be ground. Not worth €34. I wanted to return both and complain, but my better half stopped me. Well, the Künefe dessert was supposed to save it, you can't go wrong - but there wasn't any left - well, maybe an hour before closing time. Due to the whole thing, there was no tip - to my surprise there was no bill either - 2 people just over €60. No waiter has ever disappeared so quickly after paying. Again? No. We went there based on Google reviews and pictures and can't confirm it. Very unfortunate.

Where should I start? The ambience is indescribably beautiful! I love the water that runs around the restaurant. The service matches the ambience 100%. You will be warmly welcomed and served. And the food? Wow! We had the steak burger and it tasted sooooooo incredibly good. The mixed meze platter was also super delicious! All in all more than 5 stars! We'll come back next time at sunset, because the ambience is even more beautiful

We were last there during Ramadan on April 8th with my daughter and my husband and I have to say that it was great. Above all, the service was simply professional. I was glad that the younger waiter from last time wasn't there. They had chosen the best one who could serve the guests for Ramadan. The food and the table setting were also very good.

A place where a historical place is blended with today's modern architecture. The ambience is very nice. We were there with our friends last weekend. We were looking forward to a lovely evening with culinary delicacies. Unfortunately, this was not fulfilled. Ambiance: The ambience shows off its appearance with the old water tower, which has been converted into a restaurant. There is space for 250 guests in two locations. Unfortunately, the furniture seems a bit worn and the mixture of comfortable chairs with backrests and plastic chairs is somehow distracting. The plastic chairs are also not very trustworthy and you are afraid that they might collapse. Furthermore, the entrance is quite narrow and you can hardly get through because the employees are kind of scurrying around, blocking your way and not really knowing where they want to go. To get to the tables you have to pass the grill. I don't know how the office could have approved this, but it's not normal. Extremely hot and if a child walks there and accidentally puts their hand up, they will definitely get burned. An absolute no-go. What was cool was that you could roll down the windows and then you had a view of the water and the fountains. Eat: We had an appetizer platter, a steak and a grill plate. What can I say. By Turkish meze I mean something other than 6 spoons of dips carelessly slapped onto a plate. The simplest stuff for what we thought was a horrendous €12.50. If you advertise a cold appetizer platter, please bring that too and not something like that. That was very disappointing. The rump steak was completely cooked through, even though we ordered it medium rare. Of course you can say it's a Turkish restaurant, but if you advertise as a steakhouse, then you should at least be able to do that. The sauce served with it seemed like a fix product. The herb butter was delicious and so were the potatoes. The vegetables could have lasted another 2 minutes. The meat itself was relatively firm to the bite. Yes, a rump steak is not a fillet, but I have eaten rump steaks that were much more tender. 36.50 for that is just way too expensive. The grill plate. Yes, there were a few pieces of meat on it, I think chicken, a lamb chop, an Adana skewer, a meatball, some grilled vegetables (tomato, pepperoni) as well as rice and chips. The lamb was really tough but tasted good, the chicken was dry, the friko was OK and the Adana skewer was the highlight on the plate. The fries were good and so was the rice. But at €25, it's clearly too expensive for the quality. The service You can't say the service was unfriendly. Rather intrusively hectic combined with startled employees who constantly asked something. The boss was very funny, but just wanted to communicate and didn't really respond to our wishes. What I really can't stand is communicating this beforehand when things are over. Some wanted salmon, but that was out. You could have said that beforehand, because you don't choose it for nothing. You also don't bring the warm lemonade open to the table and then tell them that the cooling system is broken. Sorry, but warm ginger ale just isn't tasty. But the highlight was that the starters arrived, they are called that because you eat them beforehand and we were asked straight away whether the food could be served straight away. The waiters were already shaking with the food, so a no would have meant that it would have been kept warm somewhere. They then said in the typical funny way that that's how it is done in Turkish culture. A no-go. I've already eaten here and there and it wasn't the case that everything comes to the table at the same time. What I also don't like is when new bread is served, the waiter uses his fingers to put the old bread from the table into the new bread basket. This is hygienically questionable because he has previously cleared and cleaned tables. Never again for us!!!

We had dinner at this restaurant during Ramadan. Overall, the food was very tasty, the portions were not large, but sufficient. Considering that hundreds of people would have their food at the same time, it was pretty neatly organized. Only the ambience could be improved. But this was only because it was quite tight due to the many tables.

When we came in we were immediately told that we only had an hour because the store would be fully booked at 7 p.m. When we had eaten a waiter came and simply turned off the lamp on the table. I thought it was so bold that he reached over my food to the lamp with his arm. The shop is dirty, the people are unfriendly and the whole shop was full of smoke that burned our eyes.
