ROQQA Steakhouse Restaurant & Cafe in Duisburg

We went with a group of 42 people, everything was fine.

The ambiance in the water tower is lovely, and the food was good. We were always asked if we wanted a drink. However, I strongly advise against visiting in winter, as it's freezing cold. The large windows aren't insulated, and the few space heaters on the wall are useless. Almost all the other guests were wearing jackets. So we'll only be back in the summer.

We had our office lunch there on November 21, 2025, and it was a complete success! The atmosphere was fantastic, the portions were all huge, and everything tasted absolutely delicious from start to finish. We were served by Baki and Umut, and I must say top performance, excellent service, friendly, the kids had fun, my 8-year-old son gave his burger 10 out of 10 points – top!

The food was delicious, but it's best not to sit in the corner of the buffet as it's incredibly loud and shaky there – very unpleasant. All the staff were friendly. I didn't appreciate the waiter (baki) constantly coughing into his hand and then touching the bread without any hygiene precautions. Otherwise, everything was very nice.

I ordered a tomahawk steak and a regular steak. Everything was delicious, and the service was excellent. The order arrived surprisingly quickly. The restaurant advertises halal food, which is why I chose it. Overall, everything was great, and I recommend it. Parking is available, but it can be full depending on events. It might get a bit chilly sitting by the window in winter.

Yesterday we came here to eat! We ordered a mixed grill, but the meat was tasteless, saltless, and the selection was very limited! Only the chicken skewer was good! Everywhere else you get free mezze with a mixed grill, but here they cost €12.50! A few mezze, and only a single spoonful of each! We also ordered a gavurdağ salad, which I think cost €9… The salad was so small it wouldn't even have been enough for one person! Even though there were five of us, they only brought the bread in portions of three! Unfortunately, we paid €200! For €200, this is definitely not a place to eat! I wouldn't even give it one star, but unfortunately, I have to give it one to be able to write this! I absolutely do not recommend it! For €200, you can get such delicious food in such beautiful places!

The atmosphere was great, the service was very friendly and attentive, highly recommended. The only downside is that parking is a bit limited when it's busy; you'd have to park outside the area.

The food was simply outstanding! We ordered Turkish delight twice and the steak fillet twice, all perfectly prepared, tender, and a true culinary highlight. A huge compliment to the chef; we were all thrilled and completely satisfied. The service was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and simply delightful—a rare experience indeed. We celebrated a birthday there and gave the team our cake and decorations. They lovingly decorated everything, beautifully presented the cake at the table, and even sang for the birthday person. It was a heartfelt and truly special gesture that we greatly appreciated. The location is also something very special: The water tower and the fountains in the outdoor area create a unique atmosphere. Everything was clean, stylish, and meticulously maintained. In short: A restaurant with heart, taste, and character—highly recommended, we will definitely be back! ❤️

€24 for 4/5 pieces of meat is unacceptable. My plate simply looked completely empty. No grilled peppers, no onions. The salad was extremely dry and inedible. Rice was ice cold. After complaining, they served cold rice again.

We were very impressed with the restaurant in so many ways. We were there with our two children (2 and 3 years old), and every dish we ordered was a dream! Tender meat, crispy fries, and the appetizer was still simmering at the table. It seemed to come straight from the oven to our table! Super delicious food, a lovely ambiance, and the service was incredibly friendly. The children were played with as they walked by and had a good laugh. It was a truly wonderful evening all around, and it has become our new favorite restaurant!

We spontaneously spent a very pleasant evening in Duisburg. Great atmosphere at the water tower.

I visited the restaurant with high expectations, but was unfortunately very disappointed. The Tavuk Beyti I ordered was practically bathed in oil, making it difficult to enjoy. The eggplant mixture, which the menu said was made with Gouda, was served without cheese. The advertised pine nuts were also completely missing from the Roqqa salad. My partner ordered the Turkish delight, which was unfortunately far too dry and lacked flavor. The atmosphere was more reminiscent of a rest stop; it was by no means cozy. Another negative point were the restrooms, which were in a condition more reminiscent of a poorly maintained gas station. Overall, a very disappointing experience – the price and value here are completely out of proportion.

We were there with several guests and received a very friendly welcome. Drinks were offered to us immediately and arrived promptly. Cold appetizers were available on the menu and were delicious. Our orders arrived quickly. Too quickly. There were minutes between the first dishes of the house, the starters, and the main courses!! There was almost no time between courses, and the entire meal was supposed to be "done" after two hours at the latest, without any warning. It's a real shame, and I'll probably forgo future visits there. The food itself was excellent!!

An old water tank. It was nice. But the soup arrived cold. Thankfully, they brought hot soup. Adana was too salty and didn't have the flavor we're used to in Türkiye.

No, my brother-in-law got number 73 (chicken) instead of number 83 (lamb)! My meal, also number 83, listed lamb, roasted eggplant, yogurt, rice, or fries. I wasn't asked what I wanted, and the chef probably just chose rice, even though I prefer fries. But I have to say, it tasted pretty good. I had to hunt for the roasted eggplant, as it was seemingly hidden in the yogurt. You couldn't see or taste it! This problem was solved, though; I got a small extra bowl. All in all, not good value for money. So, for us, once and never again! We weren't even asked after the meal whether we enjoyed it... I think the half-full plates spoke for themselves 😓

We weren't expecting this restaurant at all. We've been going to Ikea in Duisburg for years, and because it's a crowd-pleaser in itself, with everything under one roof, we rarely take the time to explore the rest of the area. Yesterday, however, we quickly finished Ikea, and to be honest, we were a bit fed up with the food there as well. So, we quickly grabbed Maps, and that's how we ended up at ROQQA. And what a surprise! A beautiful location, incredibly friendly staff and service, and the icing on the cake: fantastic food. Absolutely recommended. The next time we go to Ikea, we already know where we'll eat—ROQQA. A fun fact: we were wondering what the foam on the milk drink was. While we were staring at it, a staff member spontaneously came over and filled a glass so we could taste it ourselves. In the Netherlands, it's the closest thing to buttermilk. You rarely see such attentiveness and helpfulness. Really great — thank you so much for this amazing experience!

The food arrived after 50 minutes, and the waiter wasn't interested in when it would arrive. Unfortunately, the food wasn't tasty either. Well, I won't be coming again. As an apology, we were offered dessert.

The meat is always cooked to perfection, as ordered. The service is top-notch. It's a shame, even though the service is top-notch, that some customers don't tip! Yes, a steakhouse isn't cheap, but anyone who treats themselves to a steak and receives top-notch service should also tip. I can't go out for a fancy meal and act like they're going out to eat... Why 4 stars? I simply don't think the artificial pond is very nice... It even brings the ambiance down from 5 stars to 3... Good idea, poor execution.

While returning from Cologne to Hamm, we were looking for a clean and halal restaurant and stumbled upon this place. The owner was a wonderful host. The delicious food and appetizers filled our eyes and our stomachs first. The portions were generous and filling. 😊 Thank you for your efforts.

We went there on a recommendation. There was plenty of parking upon arrival, and it smelled really good. The restaurant is beautifully set up in, on, and around the water tower. The staff is quick and very friendly. The food was delicious. They don't serve alcohol, but that's not a problem for us. Just go and see for yourself.

The service is friendly and the location has potential. The pool next door is already green and stale. It's not so nice to look at while eating. Now for the most important thing: the food, which unfortunately disappointed me. I opted for the veal skewer. The salad is unseasoned and is simply a side dish on the plate. A grilled tomato and a chili unfortunately did not complement the dry meat. I paid €23.50 for the drink and meal, so value for money was a flop. The dish can definitely be improved on in terms of taste. I can't speak for the other dishes, but for me another visit would unfortunately not be worthwhile. Nevertheless, two stars for the parking lot and the free tea after the meal.

We've been there often for the great breakfast; there are now more than five places in the immediate vicinity of ROQQA, all of which serve breakfast. ROQQA is especially great in the evenings if you can get a seat outside. The atmosphere is simply fantastic!

My husband and I ate there today. The service was super fast and uncomplicated. The ambiance was very nice, but I missed the music. In the summer, you can eat outside on the terrace. It's beautifully lit in the evenings. As for the food: The bread was a bit too hard in places, and we would have liked a bit more lamb. However, the taste was excellent!

I can say 10 out of 10 with its food, service, atmosphere, children's menu and view. It is really great to have such a Turkish restaurant in Germany, everything comes together. The menu includes restaurant menu, fish menu, children's menu and burger menu all in one. In terms of view, 2 different pools and gushing fountains between the inside and outside seating areas of the restaurant offer a truly wonderful atmosphere.
