Öz Urfa Deluxe in Dortmund

Upscale ambience, a large selection of Turkish cuisine, and good quality products. I must mention that we were there for the breakfast buffet. A glance at the menu caught my attention with the high prices, probably geared toward the Dortmund clientele. The restrooms are outdated, hence one star less for the ambiance.

We went during Ramadan and they offered us a Ramadan menu and charged us 100 euros for 2 mixed grills. This is a lot of money and not worth that deliciousness 😌

Tasty and fresh, and open for a long time. A good place for a very late meal in the city.

We were warmly welcomed at the entrance and were quickly assigned a table. The waiter was also quickly there with the menus The main dishes were made of plastic. You pay €17.90 and children aged 3 and over pay €12, without reasonable drinks, you don't eat anything completely fresh and you don't have chicken or meat, very little choice, service is unfriendly and you can hardly communicate, cutlery and plates are not completely clean.

The food is very tasty especially because everything is halal. But the staff wouldn't get a star if they could. They don't have a smile on their face, they just look at you angrily and then are cheeky. We just kindly asked to clean the table so that we could drink tea, I was looked at stupidly and then ignored after telling a lie 4 times, it was finally cleaned. Honestly, if you can't handle the stress then you need to restructure something. And it was just narrow, there was no room to move around in any way, if you wanted to eat you had to be careful not to collide.

WAY TOO OVERPRICED, and you could only order from the Ramadan menu, which was also way too overpriced. The food was okay, but there are better restaurants that are much cheaper.

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU GO‼️ Unfortunately, a complete disappointment! When we were there, it was barely busy, but it still took forever for our food to arrive. When it finally arrived, it was completely cold, not just on my plate but on everyone else's at the table. That alone would have been annoying enough, but the absolute shock was finding two small pieces of aluminum foil in my food! We immediately suspected that the meat had been brought in externally because they had run out; I can't explain it any other way. When I asked the waiter about it, he simply ignored me and walked away without saying a word. This kind of behavior is absolutely unacceptable! There wasn't even any sauce, and the food was so dry that I could barely get it down. Bottom line: I couldn't eat it; it was a complete disaster. Never again!

The waiters who serve are aggressive. They need to reconsider their rules of courtesy. You have to make a lot of effort to find a waiter, reach him and tell him what you want. Sometimes it takes 20-25 minutes just to give your order. While it used to be a place I used to go to often with my friends, now I prefer not to go at all.

Get one up! Dirt in every corner. Plates, glasses dried dirt. Pepper, salt, vinegar and oil, you can't touch it, it's so dirty that your fingers stick. Everything on the wall at the table was smeared and hadn't been cleaned for days. I called the waiter. Yes, when should I do all of this!

Disappointing – Expensive, uncaring and disorganized. Despite the numerous negative reviews, we wanted to see for ourselves. The fact that we had no problem getting a table on a Sunday evening while other restaurants were fully booked should have made us suspicious. During Ramadan, only a menu is offered, which costs at least €30 per person. Unfortunately, this menu offers no added value: the portions are small, the food comes to the table lukewarm to cold and appears carelessly put together. Although the menu lists alternatives such as rice, all dishes were inevitably served with fries. The suspicion is that this is being mass-produced and only warmed up quickly. I find it particularly disappointing that the company is obviously primarily interested in making a profit during the Holy Month. Overload cannot be an excuse here - anyone who offers 200 places should also have enough staff to ensure quality and service. Instead, the “Deluxe” in the name was only reflected in the inflated prices, but not in the quality of the food or service. Another questionable detail: There was no bill at the checkout - even though the guests at most tables paid large amounts of over €200. Conclusion: A disappointing experience. If you value good food and fair service, you should look for another restaurant.

We were there to enjoy our Ramadan fast break and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. First of all, we were not informed when making the reservation that we would have to take a menu for around 36 euros per person. This is particularly annoying because we called specifically to make a reservation. If we had been given this information beforehand, we could have saved ourselves the journey. It is absolutely audacious to announce this regulation on site - especially if you also say that you would like to share a menu and then get an unfriendly and negative reaction. You are forced to order a menu with a starter, dessert and a drink - anything else on individual orders is not accepted. It's really a shame that something like this happens in the holy month of Ramadan, because it's obviously less about sharing a beautiful tradition and more about making quick money. The dishes were also small portions that were obviously only pre-cooked and warmed up, which gave the impression that little effort was put into the preparation. One thing is clear to us: This restaurant is absolutely not recommended, especially if you value a pleasant and respectful atmosphere. However, I would like to emphasize that I don't see the blame on the waiters, but on the management for coming up with such a concept. Such an approach spoils the entire experience and is a real nuisance.

We had actually made a reservation at another restaurant, but were ignored despite confirmation and suddenly found ourselves without a table - and that was just before breaking the fast in Ramadan. In our time of need, we turned to Urfa, and what can I say: they had a table ready for us within just 10 minutes! The service was incredibly friendly, despite the last-minute request, and the food came to the table on time and fresh - in time for breaking the fast. Such attention, speed and hospitality are truly remarkable. Many thanks to the team for saving our evening. We'll definitely be back!

This Ramadan promotion is a complete rip-off of charging €14 more for 4 small baklava and a ladle of soup! Also only 8 dishes available. Full of fun

Ordered a meat platter for 4 men and we were more than full. Service was very friendly! The free starters such as salad and bread (fresh from the oven mentioned) were very well received! It was very crowded, but never too crowded. Sufficient space and distance between the tables and benches.

Were there to break the fast, during Ramadan they offer so-called “Ramadan menus”. It was literally the menu from their normal menu only with a soup and a drink, and it simply cost €30 more!! The mixed meat plate for 2 people, which otherwise cost €40, was increased by €30 for Ramadan with a small drink and a mini lentil soup! Nothing, there's a savings menu, you pay twice as much. And you know what the funny thing was? EVERYTHING was cold. Meat had been pre-grilled and simply reheated when the guests ordered, rice cold, meat cold, even fries cold. And the desserts were stupid too, the trilece was so not tasty...Also, our table was so dirty even though the restaurant was empty because everyone was reserved (our table was also reserved for dinner) they could have at least cleaned it properly...We were so disappointed because we were there with the whole family...sorry but we won't be going there anymore. Were actually there more often. Bye

We were at the restaurant with the family to break our fast and unfortunately it was only there that we found out that the menu had been changed. And not for the better. It has become much more expensive than before. We used to always get the grill plate for two people for €49, but now there is a special Ramadan menu for two people for €80 - plus just the soup and a drink for €80! The worst thing was that all the meat had already been grilled beforehand and just reheated! The meat was terribly dry. The potatoes are cold, the rice is cold. So in the end we paid way too much for reheated food and dry meat. Thank you for the disappointment! I think I won't come to you for Ramadan anymore!

The fact that you can't please everyone is just a problem that's completely normal. I've eaten there twice so far and both times without a reservation. Sure, you just have to accept the wait. You think to yourself that the store can't be bad if so many people are already waiting voluntarily, because there are several restaurants in the area that are not that busy. I can also understand that the staff might be a bit overwhelmed even when there are a lot of visitors, as sometimes there are customers who are just tiring. Food was ok, chairs are dirty, there is already a layer of grease on the fabric! I want to choose where I want to sit myself and not next to a family of 10 even though the store is empty! Hello, the food of this restaurant, which we have been coming to regularly for several years, is really good; We don't have a single word to say about their taste. The employees are also extremely friendly and respectful. This observation is not limited to once or twice; It is a situation we constantly encounter when we come as a family maybe 15-20 times a year. However, on our last few visits, we observed that the restaurant owners behaved unpleasantly towards the employees. I experienced this myself; A small mishap occurred on New Year's Eve and the employees got upset. We encountered a similar situation last night. This kind of treatment is not nice. People should not forget where they come from and respect those who do their job best. For this reason, I would like this comment to be taken into consideration to prevent such a situation from happening again. I hope the managers understand what I mean.

Deluxe just on the name of the place but the services and taste. And the guy at the cash register first talked to people and offered the aluminum side, which they call brand new oven rice pudding, with no fried or cooked rice in it.

Me and my mother were there yesterday. I think the service was bad because there was someone who ignored us the whole time even though he had nothing to do, he threw bread on the table for my mother and said wait even though my mother didn't want dinner but just wanted to drink tea and eat cake. At the checkout when we were standing there to pay he stood there and put his hand on my mother and told her to wait because he seemed to be there at the beginning even though we were there first. I think you should behave and he had no manners anyway.

The meat dishes are absolutely fresh and well prepared. The portions are optimal. I would recommend Ayran as a drink as it goes very well with the dishes. The atmosphere is very nice and the staff are very helpful and accommodating. Would visit Öz Urfa again and again every time I visit Dortmund.

We were spontaneously looking for a restaurant for dinner on Saturday evening. I was a bit skeptical at first based on the reviews. Even though there were 10 of us there, we managed to get a spot. The dishes we ordered were really delicious. The service was also good. Price/performance ratio is really okay. If we are in Dortmund again, we will definitely come back.

We were here for the first and definitely the last time. Eating is a complete failure 😣 the kebab plate looks like a small pomm kebab, the kebab meat looks and tastes like it was leftovers from last evening. Service is also not what it should be. They take you to the cash register and wait until you give a tip. The price is also great for this mini portion. If you want to eat here, you should think carefully.

Catastrophic experience. We took a Doner and we weren't even asked what we wanted in it, nor any sauce. Service: a very small Doner with a little meat and raw vegetables, no sauce, nothing fries. All for €11. We did not feel respected either in the service or in the quality of the food provided to us, with very little taste. We felt expeditious, chain service, without giving love or quality to our meal and the service provided. The ambience is nice and feels cozy. The selection is quite large. The dishes we ordered tasted good. Nice staff, attentive waiter. What bothered me personally was that the tables were wiped with wet cloths while the guests were still sitting at the table. In my opinion a no-go.

It's a nice restaurant we go to in Dortmund whenever we get the chance. The food, atmosphere and service are very good. The waiters are very kind. During our last visit, a waiter named Ferhat served. He is extremely competent, kind and was there for us whenever we wanted. He never kept us waiting. I wish goodness and beauty to Ferhat and all the employees.

I have only ever been gone for the buffet. It's spectacular, but it wouldn't go right as it opens. Some dishes come out later. It gets a bit full on weekends from 10-14 o'clock.

Őz Urfa Deluxe I've always eaten perfectly. But what I didn't like was 4 times Qofte sade without menű 23€ that keeps me out of it. I've always been there with over 10 people but I feel sorry for the boss.

Went here for our parents' big birthday on the recommendation of my sister, which she herself regretted. The music is an absolute no-go for such a shop, it plays really hard pop music at a booming volume with vulgar expletives in the bottom drawer, which in our case was ignored after several requests for changes due to our children, which will mean that I will no longer visit this place. The kebab plate we ordered was overpriced in terms of price/performance. Here either the quality of the meat must be adjusted upwards or the price must be adjusted downwards. The service and the employees are not good at all. We had to get the menus ourselves because after 15 minutes there still wasn't a waiter. After 30 minutes of waiting we asked why no one was coming? Then we were told that he wasn't responsible for the area but strangely enough he served the people sitting next to us. The restaurant was great in the first year but the staff definitely needs to change. Especially you come into the restaurant and people speak Turkish to you as if we are here in Turkey, not everyone speaks Turkish just for information :)

I was at the *Öz Urfa Deluxe* today and can only recommend it! The restaurant offers a cozy, modern atmosphere and excellent service. The Turkish specialties are freshly prepared and incredibly tasty. I was particularly impressed by the Iskender and the Pide - everything was perfectly seasoned and of high quality. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The price-performance ratio is great, and everything is just right for the quality offered. A real *highlight* in Dortmund – I’ll definitely be back.

The Öz Urfa Deluxe restaurant in Dortmund is definitely recommended, especially for brunch! The selection is huge, so there is something for every taste. What is particularly positive is that the price is absolutely reasonable and there is unlimited Çay and almost all dishes (with the exception of certain desserts). Overall, great value for money and a clear recommendation for brunch lovers!

I made a reservation a week in advance because there were 10 of us. When we were in the restaurant we were told that they didn't accept reservations and then we were very rudely told that we should either sit at the best possible table (which was too small) or look for another restaurant. We waited about an hour for our food, but in the end it was burnt and indestructible. There was no sugar at the table, tissues etc. The toilets were also very unhygienic, as there was toilet paper on the floor, leftovers from the shop and the paper dispenser didn't work either. I would definitely not recommend!!!
