Aside from the tasteless ambience, this was the worst Indian food we've had in years. No trace of authentic Indian spice. You tend to think of ready-made sauces from the supermarket. Really not recommended if you're looking for Indian cuisine. Could it be that the chef has changed - or how can the many positive reviews be explained?
Best Indian food that I have had in the KMC area. I wish I could give whoever prepared my lunch a kiss on the forehead. Customer service was also great when I ordered on the phone, and when I picked up. Will be returning!
Unfortunately, this restaurant failed to impress me. The staff comes across as unprofessional—rather than attending to customers, they prefer joking around with each other or standing outside smoking while pretending to be busy on the phone. One particularly negative observation was that a former waitress was treated poorly by her male superiors.
The food is reasonably priced but disappointing in taste. The quality is inconsistent—sometimes too sweet, sometimes too salty—and lacks balance. Additionally, the same discount card (Nooncard) is offered in the evening but with an extra charge, which feels unfair to customers.
The interior is another letdown. Having known three previous restaurants at this location, I can say that the current design is a significant downgrade compared to its predecessors.
Overall, this restaurant lacks professionalism, consistency, and a compelling concept. I cannot recommend it.
Yesterday we went to Hari's again with friends. It used to be delicious and Indian in taste, but I was VERY disappointed. The atmosphere was modern and friendly, but definitely not Indian. No welcome from the aromas of Indian cuisine.
The food was well Germanized. And not much either. Without the starter plate for €30 (with a small bowl of meaningless yogurt dip) we wouldn't have been full.
I'm happy to pay a little more, especially since everything has become more expensive for restaurant owners. But I've rarely experienced such a bad price-performance ratio. No, there has to be more, dear Hari's team. More Indian and a little more on the plate.
It's a shame. You probably have to drive even further for delicious Indian food. Or cook - like me - yourself.
Plus point in the new premises: Large parking lot and a little more space in the restaurant. And of course the hard-working and friendly staff
Deserves more than 5 stars
The food was delicious, the Indian beer was very tasty. The staff was more than friendly and nice. Always happy when I'm near you 👌🏼
Good friendly service and tasty Indian cuisine for years. Great!!!
No comparison to the Indian restaurant that recently opened next door. Instead of the pompous photo of the dish with chicken thighs, only neck and chicken thigh bones and numerous bone fragments are hidden in the rice. The tea served was lukewarm.
The chicken included in the other dish I ordered was just dry, tough and without any seasoning....!!
Oh yes, maybe that's the reason for the lack of rating options....!?
Truly an amazing place!
One of the most authentic Indian restaurants in Berlin, they are purely vegetarian.
The Dal Dera and the Aloo Parathas are definitely recommended.
The owners are very warm and friendly and would be more than happy to help you order if you are spoilt for choices!
A must try for every Berliner 👍🏼
