Love this place. I've been in Berlin for just over a year now and haven't found a better Indian than this. I love that its South Indian cuisine here which is a preference of mine.

Everything is so good! It's just absolutely delicious! ☀️ I remembered just now, that we never got our bhatura and I didn't even check if they charged it. But it's not a big thing 🤷

If the water is going to cost 6.5 euros then for god sake let the customer know about it. This is equal to many of the items which one can order. This is not India where tap water is not drinkable. You scammed us and lost a customer forever. Not expected.

Could give 0 stars if given option. On 28th september at 19:00 i ordered mysore masala dosa. First came normal masala dosa when i complained they changed to mysore with high spice that a normal human body cannot digest. Totally disappointed how can they serve to a human such spicy dosa. Never come to this place again. Another scam in same order. Ordered 4 heiniken beers. First 2 beers came good 330 ml When we ordered again they gave 250 ml beers instead 330 ml. While billing we asked for bill they charged same for all 4. When questioned the waitress acted she didnt know anything went away then asked informed us that they are now charging for 3 beers instead 4. We agreed then she insisted to pay with cash instead card because she didnt amend the bill. We refused to pay cash and paid jn card. Stop scamming your own people.

Stop cheating people by serving them food which doesn't look or taste like Indian at all. We ordered online, Mutton Rogan Josh, and they have added potatoes, beans, cauliflower, and paprika. What kind of Rogan josh you are serving. We ordered food looking into the ratings but, you don't deserve a single rating at all. Non Indians might be fond of eating your food, as they don't know how Indian food taste.

Ein schöner Abend im Chettinad.Köstliche Speisen u.a. aus Südindien.Authentische Küche..Wir hatten Vorspeisen und waren begeistert und die Hauptgerichte waren super lecker.Tolle Aromen,und eine schöne Qualität die man nicht immer so erlebt.Auch die Auswahl der veganen Gerichte sind vielfältig.Besonders gefallen hat uns der "Pfannenkuchen mit den Dips,den man in Indien zum F Rphstück ist.Schön angerichtet und dann noch der herzliche Service.Sehr zu empfehlen. Warm service. We ate delicious cream cheese and a great tandoori dish in a hot pan. The meat was of very good quality. The rice was fluffy. Hot, tasty and aromatic seasoned. Highly recommended...

Recently, I visited this restaurant. The food was delicious, even better than homemade. My personal favorites were the Kovakkai Milagu Piratti and Parota. The ambiance was wonderful, the music added an extra layer to the experience and the service was exceptional.

This was great place, wonderful authentic South Indian food. The service was excellent and kind, they were very accommodating and I was able to change the rice to dosa in the vegan lunch thali. The only negative thing was that the dishes were very very oily which I think is a real problem. However, otherwise, tasty, fresh well cooked and delicious! The restaurant itself is beautiful. Highly recommend.

One of the authentic South Indian restaurant in Berlin. We had veg thali and fish thali, both were really good and filling. I had to loosen up my belt. Food was not oily and gave me the homemade touch. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommend this hidden gem. Waitress Tania was very friendly and welcomed us whole heartedly

Very friendly staff, nice outdoor seats. Only downside is that it is just next to a Main Street, yet overall it was an excellent experience. I got a vegetarian plate as Sunday special offer: Astonishing how much variety they managed to put onto one plate, it was quite a firework of flavours and the design of each component was quite intricate. Clearly recommended!!!

Always delicious here! Friendly staff, the selection of vegetarian dishes is perfect! But meat eaters also have a good selection. The chicken is always buttery and tender. We really enjoy coming here because everything always tastes so good! We also love the Bathura 🤩.

The quality of the food was not good

Vegetarian/ eggeterian should stay away from this place. Whatever the biryani you order it comes with meat. Veg kottu was too oily and pepper. We got complimentary Dosa for biryani replacement and the dosa batter was sour. Overall our experience was bad. The owner/ bouncer did not even had courtesy to say sorry (may be he thought free dosa will do the job)

I ordered three dishes online at 8 p.m. The food had not been delivered by 10:30 p.m. I called three times. I thought it would start now. Where the food ended up, I have no idea. I'm really disappointed. You never had it delivered on time. After all, only bad experiences. Never again

I recently dined at your restaurant and had a wonderful experience! The chicken biryani was flavorful and authentic Kerala style , and the beef thali was delicious with each part complementing the others perfectly. The staff's service and hospitality were also commendable, making the meal even more enjoyable. I look forward to coming back soon!

In 29th July we went to this restaurant and I particularly ordered Veg Tali. But they added Chicken fry along with Gobi 65 in Veg Tali. This is not at all acceptable. My friends ordered Chicken Tali and the quantity was very very less. This kind of Service is not acceptable. They said us that they have Tali and when we asked about this why the Chicken Tali was given in a small plate then they were saying we don’t have Tali plates. And to get those they made us wait for 2 hours. They have charged full amount for those Chicken Tali‘s. When we spoke about it and leaving the restaurant then they started saying sorry we will give more food and all. Which is not really acceptable.

Very bad.. ordered two chicken gravy... both tasted almost the same... tandoori chicken was dry to its bones, chicken was very very hard like the one we find in chicken pickel.... garlic naan was super thick like some bun

Very Very Very Poor Service.. it takes more than 45mins to get served and they say that the restaurant is crowded but there are hardly 4-5 tables occupied…. No one bothers to come and check neither… Extremely Poor Service and I would definitely recommend against coming to this Restaurant

The 1star rating is for the service. The food is great. Here’s my experience with timeline. 17:48 - Ordered on their website and received confirmation email 19:25 - Food didn’t arrive and called them. They said it’s some technical problem on their system and they received the order just now(which isn’t the case IMO). They told they would deliver the food in 45 mins. I accepted with disappointment. 20:40 - No food yet. Called them again and they said it’s still on the way. I finally ended my hopes that the food will be delivered and cooked some food. I regret ordering from their site. 20:50 - The delivery guy finally showed up and sent back the delivery with all due respect. I would recommend people to visit the restaurant and have food and not to order through their website.

Ordered food online, called after waiting for over an hour, the lady on the phone didn't understand German and hung up. 2nd attempt in English, after 5 minutes back and forth the information was that the driver had left 10 minutes ago. Food finally arrived after 25 minutes. The dish, which wasn't marked as spicy on the menu, burned your throat away. Conclusion for us......NEVER AGAIN!

Delicious food and the Indian red wine was great

As others have noted, delivery service for online orders is disastrous. Waited twice for about 2 hours, only received delivery upon request. Normally the place would have died for me, but for me the best Indian food in Spandau/Charlottenburg. That's why I remain loyal, but recommend picking up yourself or eating on site.

Nice Indian restaurant, a bit canteen style. Food very good, even to go. Spicy is also spicy and portions are large enough. The service goes from fast and friendly to incredibly slow and curt. We had cocktails while we waited... and we waited for a long time... almost 90 minutes... which was annoying afterwards

The food was pretty good here. When they advertise it's hot it's hot. The service was ok and the staff were friendly. There seems to be plenty of free parking on the street. Although we were outside the restaurant inside did look at bit tired needs refurbishing. Would come back.

I had lunch and it was really delicious. The waiter was friendly and the food came quickly.

We would have reserved 8 places for a group. We were asked three times by different waitresses about our drink preferences. The brunch itself is mediocre. Cold starters where you don't know what they are, including a dish with bread cubes, which were also served with vanilla sauce as dessert. At 1 p.m. the two chicken dishes were emptied (only sauce was left in the containers). They were no longer refilled, even though brunch was advertised until 3 p.m. There was only one fish dish, which was tiny little pieces of fish, very thickly breaded and completely soggy due to the sauce. During our 3-hour stay, neither the plates nor the coffee cups were cleared from the table or cleaned. Paying 8 individual bills took over 30 minutes and was more complicated than I have ever seen before. Positive: vegan and vegetarian dishes were plentiful

I had tried the ghee dosa and it was pretty good. Would not recommend the utappam there. The service was very good and you can pay there with card. Will try the place once again for more of their Thalis as they looked great in the photos

We have visited the restaurant for our wedding anniversary and I haven been not visited this restaurant for while . We have ordered some traditional Kerala style Porotta . They have been informed us it’s made freshly but I am sure they have just warmed frozen Food for us . We have made decision we never visit the restaurant again . I have paid full amount including for the parotta and I wish next time they will make fresh for everyone .

My friends, my mother and I ordered food. Delivery should take place after 40-55 minutes. When there was still no food after 80 minutes, I called the restaurant. An unfriendly man answered the phone and I asked where the food was. After a long back and forth it was still 20 minutes. I thought that was a disgrace. They didn't even offer me a discount or compensation for this delay. After not 20 but 30 minutes the food arrived and lo and behold it was cold and some dishes were even missing. We stopped the driver and said things were missing, he called the store and said: “Yes, food is coming soon”. After another 30 minutes, we called the store really angry and canceled the meal because some of us had no time left and had to go to work. I immediately demanded the money back. Since we ordered via Lieferando, the unfriendly man said on the phone that he hoped we would get the money back. I thought that was a complete impudence! Don't make this mistake and go eat or order somewhere else if you want Indian food.

This restaurant doesn't even deserve a one star rating. I have ordered food through their online website. It wasn't delivered and I called them multiple times but no one answered. I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Our Christmas event today was elevated to a five-star experience, thanks to your outstanding feast! The cutlet, kappa biriyani, chicken biriyani, iddiyapam with chicken stew, and the delightful payasam were nothing short of a gastronomic delight. Sehr leckeres indisches Essen. Personal und Ambiente noch verbesserungsbedürftig, negativ viel auf das anscheinend die Heizung defekt war und statt dessen mit einem Heizpilz geheizt wurde.

Heute waren wir um 20 Uhr da um Essen zum mitnehmen zu bestellen uns wurde gesagt wir sollen 20 Minuten warten, taten wir, 20 Minuten später kam raus, dass Sie von unserer Bestellung vergessen hatten und wir mussten noch eine halbe Stunde warten nur um mit leeren Händen wieder rauszugehen, weil das Personal es nicht auf die Reihe bekommen hat uns unsere Bestellung zu geben. Sehr unprofessionell und reine Zeitverschwendung.

Wir haben über Lieferando bestellt. Das Essen kam heiß und in der angegebenen Zeit an. Alle drei Gerichte waren sehr lecker. Wir bestellen wieder.

Amazing brunch lot of tasty choice for very affordable every Sunday

Die Speisen waren ausgezeichnet, der Gastgeber sehr freundlich, die Kellner(innen) ebenso... es gab nichts auszusetzen. 👍🏻Einzig die Parkplatzsituation vor dem Restaurant gab uns (und dem Besitzer) zu denken - aber dafür kann ER ja nichts... 🤷🏼‍♂️

Was ich persönlich anmerke, entweder war das Essen definitiv nicht pfad, aber lasch gewürzt oder einfach nur scharf (liegt im Auge des Betrachters. Ich selbst habe die,, geschmacksexplosion " vermisst der verschiedenen gewürze die es in der indischen Küche gibt. Eins der leckersten indischen Restaurants im Universum. Und das in Spandau. Verrückt. Sonst muss man dafür nach Potsdam ins Masala Haus oder sogar bis nach Hamburg nach St. Pauli ins Maharaja. Okay, woran erkennt man lecker? Probiert einfach mal die Hühnchengerichte im Umkreis und das Butter oder Pepper Chicken hier.

We ordered mutton biriyani and chicken kottu. Mutton biriyani was superb and the kottu is also OK compared to what I have tried earlier in Berlin. All together it was a nice experience.

Yesterday, we hosted a birthday party at Chettinad Restaurant in Spandau. The food was excellently prepared, meeting specific requirements made beforehand. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the delicious flavors. It was a fantastic gathering, enjoying the evening with South Indian cuisine amidst a lively crowd. Highly recommend for group gatherings.

There are very few restaurants that are consistently authentic and good. Don't miss this one in Spandau which is also family friendly that beautifully serves good south Indian cuisines. If you're upbeat about trying their meat, ask for Chicken Chettinad with Dosas.

Curries were good. But it took very long time to be served...

Überraschend gute Indische Küche.. Normalerweise sind wir sehr kritisch, was die Indische Küche betrifft... hier sind wir positiv überrascht. Schön ist dass hier in Südindischer und Nordindischer Küche unterschieden wird. Die Südindische Küche ist pikanter bzw. schärfer als die nordindische Küche. Also ist für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

This is currently one of the most authentic Indian restaurants I have found in Berlin. We tried the kozhi roast, chicken 65 and the lamb biryani. I definitely recommend all these dishes. I cannot comment on the service and ambiance since we ordered the food online. But I can say the food was packed well and was fresh.

Zu meinem Feedback unten ein kleiner Kritikpunkt Richtung Betreiber: Leider wurde das Mittagsbuffet abgeschafft und dafür mit einem „Menü“ ersetzt, welches leider preislich nicht mehr attraktiv ist. Ansonsten ist mein Feedback nach wie vor gültig: Ich war hier bereits öfters essen und habe auch die verschiedenen Angebote (Mittagsbuffet, Sonntagsbrunch, a la carte) in Anspruch genommen. Anbei meine Detailbewertung zu diesem guten indischen Restaurant: Ambiente/ Einrichtung: Überschaubar groß, nett eingerichtetes Restaurant, jedoch ohne „Specials“. 3,5 Sterne dafür Service: Sehr zuvorkommend. Sprechen aber hauptsächlich besser englisch als deutsch. Ansonsten sehr aufmerksam. Beim Buffet werden die leeren Teller auch schnell abgeräumt. 4 Sterne Essen (Qualität & Geschmack): Sehr gut. Sehr authentisches Essen mit einigen Specials aus Südindien. Hier wird, wenn man scharf mag und es so verlangt, auch wirklich scharf gewürzt. Qualitativ sehr gut, keine Einheitssaucen, sondern abgestimmt auf das Gericht. 5 Sterne Essen (Portionsgrösse): Bei a la carte gut. Buffet ist sowieso all you can eat. Man wird satt! 4 Sterne Preis-Leistungsverhältnis: Sehr gut. Buffet um die 8 €, Sonntags 14€, dafür aber mehr Auswahl. 5 Sterne. Sonstiges: Alles in allem 21,5 Sterne in 5 Kategorien. Somit ergibt sich eine Gesamtwertung von 4 Sterne . In jedem Fall ein sehr empfehlenswertes Restaurant!

Ich habe kürzlich das Restaurant Yummy Chettinad besucht und war absolut begeistert! Das Essen hier ist unglaublich lecker und authentisch. Die Aromen und Gewürze erinnerten mich an meine Reisen nach Südindien. Das Personal war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich, und die Atmosphäre im Restaurant war gemütlich und einladend. Ich kann besonders das Chettinad Chicken und die Dosas empfehlen - sie sind ein absolutes Muss! Dieses Restaurant ist definitiv einen Besuch wert, wenn Sie indisches Essen lieben. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

ch hatte heute das Vergnügen, das Restaurant „Yummy Chettinad“ zu besuchen, und ich bin restlos begeistert! Dieses Restaurant hat mich von Anfang bis Ende beeindruckt. Das Ambiente ist wunderbar, mit einer angenehmen Atmosphäre und einer einladenden Einrichtung. Es war der perfekte Ort für ein gemütliches Abendessen mit Freunden. Das Essen war einfach phänomenal! Die Aromen und Gewürze in den Gerichten waren absolut authentisch und lecker. Ich hatte das Vergnügen, die Chettinad Hühnchen Curry zu probieren, und es war ein wahres Geschmackserlebnis. Die Portionen wurden großzügig bemessen, sodass ich die Gelegenheit hatte, eine Vielzahl von Gerichten zu kosten. Das kulinarische Angebot hier ist wirklich beeindruckend.

Dieses Restaurant bietet nord- und südindische Spezialitäten in Berlin-Spandau. Das Essen war sehr gut, und reichhaltig. Die Bedienung war freundlich. Ich kann dieses Lokal voll und ganz weiter empfehlen.

Good restaurant may be the waiting time can be reduced.

Heard a lot of good things about this restaurant, and that's why we drove all the way to Spandau to try it out. But the experience was definitely not worth all that trouble. Kotthu parotta and the curry both just had a lot of black pepper, and because of that we couldn't taste any other flavour in these dishes. Except that, we ordered gobi and pakoda, which were good. On top of these, we had a cup of tea as a drink, which was alright. We tried only vegetarian dishes, so the experience maybe different and better if you are a non vegetarian. Overall, it's decent, but I'm pretty sure you'll find better restaurants closer to the city center.

The food was just superb and the staffs were friendly. This place is perfect cool for a function or small group gathering. I highly recommend this place to my friends

Wer authentisches indisches und ceylonesisches Essen probieren möchte ist hier genau richtig. Hier wird dich noch Zeit genommen fürs kochen und den Gast. Sogar das Gemüse wurde uns gezeigt, dass wir nicht kannten. Dieses Restaurant verdient definitiv mehr Zuspruch!!!

Das Essen in einem Wort: super! Das gleiche gilt für die Bedienung. Beim Ambiente draußen gibt es sicherlich Luft nach oben, aber da setzt der Standort einfach auch Grenzen. Das schmälert den Genuss aber nicht und wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

We had bad experience visiting chettinad. Firstly when we went there, there was only 2 tables filled and despite of that they kept us waiting long to take order and while placing order the person was rude as he said you want only one dosa. Well i feel like yes we can have one dosa and it’s completely fine for us to order as much as we want to eat than we placed order for mysore masala dosa but there mysore masala dosa was like normal masala dosa only and the delivery of one dosa took 30 minutes. I personally didn’t enjoyed the hospitality of the people. I don’t know about other food items, this review is based my experience Food: 1/5 Hospitality: 0/5 Price: 1/5 Ambiance: 4/5

We ordered Paneer Masala Dosa and Mysore masala dosa. They were crisp and perfectly cooked. The tomato chutney was very tasty. Only thing that was not upto the mark was the sambar. It was a little low on taste. The service was very nice and friendly as we were sitting outside and something fell in my drink, they replaced it without any questions. The atmosphere was nice inside also and they vibrantly showed the culture of south India which I liked. Overall it was a satisfying and fulfilling experience, 1 star I would take away for the sambar.

For me this is only restaurant serving authentic Indian cuisine in Berlin. The spice level in the Chettinad Chicken Curry was to the point. The Chicken Biryani was flavourful and the meat cooked to perfection. Definitely worth a visit.

Sehr umfangreiche Karte. Auch halal, ayurvedische und vegetarische Gerichte sind im Sortiment. Guter und aufmerksamer Service. Das Essen war gut und reichlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir haben Essen liefern lassen, großer Fehler! Haben fast 2 Stunden gewartet und dann fehlte noch die Hälfte. Sollte noch nachgeliefert werden.... da warten wir immernoch drauf. Essen war ok, aber lieber selber abholen und kontrollieren.

Irre freundlich und leckeres Essen! Ich hatte Makrele und Ballongbrot, es gabt nichts auszusetzen. Der Schnaps zur Rechnung war auch gut. Ich würde jederzeit wieder dort essen!

Ambiente ist verbesserungswürdig, aber das Essen ist erstklassig! Preislich für die Menge die man vor Ort bekommt, sehr gut! Kann ich uneingeschränkt empfehlen!
