Cocktails nach der HappyHour sehr günstig, nur 4,90 EUR für sehr großes Glas. Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Dazu hatten wir eine Linsensuppe und Onion Rings, auch sehr lecker. Schneller Service und auch nach 22 Uhr kein Problem. Nichts zu beanstanden!

Wir waren begeistert, die Gastfreundschaft war erstklassig. Das Essen war fantastisch und der Service makellos. Besonders der Service von Alli hat uns überzeugt. Wir können das Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen. Wir haben dort unvergessliche Erinnerungen gesammelt.

Wir waren gestern Abend zu dritt im Avatar und waren sehr begeistert! Das Essen war mega lecker und die Bedienung super freundlich. Wir saßen draußen, wo es zwar wenig Grün gibt, es aber angenehm ruhig ist. Trotz Straße und der Nähe zum Hermannlatz. Alles war auch ordentlich und sauber, auch die Toilette. Definitiv zu empfehlen.

Das Essen war super lecker, geschmacklich absolut empfehlenswert. Wir hatten Palak Paneer und shahi paneer.

Nur Barzahlung war möglich (für mich ein großer Minuspunkt). Das Essen war in Ordnung (Palak Paneer war einfach Spinatrahmkäse mit Paneer), die Portionen waren sehr großzügig. Alles wurde frisch zubereitet und serviert.

Unglaublich leckeres indisches Essen, so günstig und sooooo gut! Wahnsinn!

Das Avatar Indisches Restaurant Neukölln ist in der Weserstr. 5, in 12047 Berlin gelegen. Insoweit handelt es sich hierbei um eine phantastische Lokalität. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr gut und das Ambiente ist auch sehr schön. Unlängst habe ich dort diverse Biere getrunken und ein Lamm Madras verzehrt. Beides war sehr delicious. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit, sozial kompetent und sehr wertvoll. Sehr empfehlenswert. Sehr zu empfehlen! Die Bedienung war ausgesprochen freundlich. Wir haben zu zweit je ein Mittagsangebot gewählt und insgesamt zusammen circa 30€ bezahlt für einen kleinen Salat, Suppe, Brot, Hauptspeise und Getränke! Dazu noch einen kostenlosen Mango Lassi mit Lachgesicht und das Essen was übrig blieb wurde sorgfältig eingepackt. Es empfiehlt sich, ordentlich Hunger mitzubringen! Geschmacklich auch hervorragend. :)

So leckeres Curry habe ich selten gegessen!! Es war auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert. Uns hat es sehr sehr gut geschmeckt.

Das Essen ist einfach wunderbar! Alles ist superfrisch und perfekt abgestimmt! Mango-Lassi, Palak Paneer und Knoblauch-Käse-Naan sind absolut empfehlenswert. Der Service ist erstklassig.

Gehweg nicht geräumt, sehr rutschig & gefährlich

Esse hier gerne und oft und dass seid vielen Jahren. Nur neulich hatte ich eine schlechte Erfahrung und zwar, habe ich mir LammDal nach hause bestellt und das Fleisch war leider nicht mehr gut. Wenn ich es gegessen hätte wäre ich wahrscheinlich krank geworden. Ich wünsche euch, dass es nur eine Ausnahme war. Ich werde es in jedem Fall nochmal probieren. Nur sollte es nicht nochmal vorkommen

The worst Indian food ever. The service was good and they were nice but you eat in the dark. The food is horrible and moreover we found hair in our dishes, they made us pay for the plates with hair in it, even the Coca was disgustingly warm with no bubble. The cheese naan was a microwave naan with emmental sprinkle on it. The butter chicken was a bad chicken with too much tomato sauce and the massala didn’t have any taste. It was an horrible experience dont go there.

Absolutely amazing! Coincidentally, the best Indian restaurant we could think of was right next to our hotel. Friendly service, wonderful food... Wish we could have stayed longer in Berlin this visit just to come back!

As a real lover of the indian kitchen I can say, that this is the best indian restaurant I know in Berlin. I come here every week and it’s always delicious. My personal favorite: Butter Chicken!

I went there for lunch for the first time today. The panak paneer was delicious, and they also served a starter soup, salad, and papadums. The price/performance ratio, taste, and service were all very good.

The sidewalk needs to be repaired. The food was delicious; we had two different meals, which unfortunately tasted the same. The vegetables were peas—period. Still! Delicious!

A very quiet place and a very relaxed atmosphere. The chicken tikka masala tasted exceptionally good, and the service staff were very friendly.

Unfortunately a very disappointing experience. The food was extremely salty – so much so that it was truly inedible. I returned the dish hoping it would be remade. Instead, shortly after, the waiter simply brought it back exactly the same, without any change. When asked, he rudely said that the chef didn't have to cook the dish a second time. To me it seemed as if he was connected to the shop himself, perhaps the owner's son - all the worse that no understanding was shown. The tone was cold and unprofessional. No accommodation, no apology, nothing. And even though the food was inedible, we were even charged for drinks at the end. A sign of absolutely bad customer service. I really can't recommend this shop at Weserstrasse 5 to anyone. Disappointing in terms of taste, a failure in terms of service. Never again.

The meal of butter chicken with rice and naan arrived with a bicycle courier. The whole meal, including the sauce, was in the paper bag. Naan everything was completely full. The paper bag was almost soaked! There was no cutlery either. Unfortunately we couldn't eat the dishes. The courier certainly saw that everything turned out very rudely. I do think the restaurant needs to pack it much better if they send it by bike courier

Yesterday I went to Avatar. We were with a group of seven, and it was quite difficult to find a restaurant that would accomodate us. But we had some luck with Avatar. The restaurant gets a 4,7 review on google, although it's nearly empty on a Saturday night. When I saw the decor of the place I was getting a bit scared. It looked quite awful and I think it's weird that a restaurant has an happy hour. Unless it's some sort of student bar. But okay, we decided to keep an open mind. The state of the bathrooms is mostly a good indicator of restaurant standard. Which in this case was quite poor. The urinoirs were dirty, and the toilet did not even have a lock on it. We ordered some cocktails, beers and food. I was tempted to order a cocktail myself, but when I saw that they made a pina colada with whipped cream I decided not to. My friends ordered a whiskey sour and a mai tai. The whiskey sours were sweet instead of sour, with no egg used (they where clear, with no foam). The mai tai was basically pineapple juice with alcohol. Now let's take some time for the food. We ordered samosa's, garlic naan and some main courses (tikka, curry etc.) I had the tikka paneer. The samosa's were quite decent actually. But the garlic naan were slightly under cooked and with too much garlic on them (I love garlic but this was ridiculous). My tikka paneer arrived in two parts; first I received the sauce, the paneer came later. While the sauce was decent (but not great), the paneer came on a piping hot cast iron plate which was so hot that the sauce was crackling for at least 5 minutes. The sugars in the sauce had been caramelized and accordingly burned because of the heat. This gave the dish an unpleasant aftertaste. All this aside, the dish was mediocre at best. My friends had some similar experiences with their food: too salty, too sweet, or just bland. When they cleared our table they did not asked how to food was, even though most people had not even finished half of their dish. When we asked for the check it took very long to receive it. They had just shown us a number which we had to pay. But we wanted to see the check in order to make sure that there had not been any mistakes. The whiskey sours that we ordered were 6,90 on the menu, yet they charged us 8,50 for them. This restaurant was an absolute disappointment in terms of food, drinks, service and toilet hygiene.

This is one of the worst service I had. The people didn't care about service . THere was a broken door which fell and the people were not even sorry. THey were what we can do. We asked why don't you even put a sign and they just said they will think about and didn't ask if you are fine etc.

For those looking for an extraordinary experience and authentic Indian taste, there is only one address: this shop! The people here really care about every guest with heart and respect. I am dependent on a wheelchair and it is really difficult to find a place that suits me here in Berlin. On a really cold day I sat outside and wanted to enjoy my meal. One of the team came up to me and we started talking. I told him about my difficulties and without hesitation he said that next time they would get a ramp so that I could get in with my wheelchair without any problems. That alone is enough to show what great people work here.

Very good restaurant, pet friendly and calm

The restaurant impresses with authentic flavors and a welcoming ambience. The curries are intensely spiced and the selection of vegetarian dishes is impressive. The fresh naan breads are particularly recommended. The service is warm and courteous, which makes the visit a pleasant one. A wonderful place for Indian food lovers!

Very tasty food and top cocktails, very good service, special requests (birthday greetings from the kitchen) are easily accommodated. From 6 p.m. happy hour for the (large) cocktails. Unfortunately, it's not a nice place to sit on the street and people passing by ask you for money (scrounger) several times.

Ate here on our first day in Berlin and wow it was great! Definitely one of the best Indian restaurants I've ever been to. Very tasty food, cheap and lots of it! The service was also very friendly, we stayed here afterwards to drink various cocktails (after 6:00 PM it is happy hour). Pay in cash only!

They keep making fake false complaints to Google that my review is "libel" however it isn't, and I will keep reposting this review because it is real and I've had food there many times, and it's always not fresh and tastes like a cheap copy of most Indian restaurants in Berlin. And the fact they eliminate real authentic reviews with these dirty tactics shows you what kind of establishment they are.

Freshly prepared Indian dishes with selected ingredients. We ordered several curries, as well as a fresh salad and great garlic naan for delivery. We can recommend the restaurant. The delivery time is approx. 1 hour.

Our friends who live in Berlin dragged us (metaphorically speaking) across the city to eat at Avatar. And it was worth it, absolutely fantastic food and service!

Addicted to this place I swear. It's been my go-to for 2 years and is def the best indian restaurant in town. I often go with different friends and everyone is always super happy with everything. The staff is very welcoming and nice. One of my friends is allergic to cheese and they took it really seriously, making sure her food didn't get in contact with any cheese. The meat is always fresh. The food is as spicy as you want it to be (just ask for it). 1000% recommend.

War ein Versuch wert. Für mich musste ich aber feststellen, das es nicht mein Favorit wird. Das Essen ist Ok und das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis auch. Wir saßen eine ganze Weile dort, aber zwischendurch wurde nicht mal kurz nachgefragt, ob wir noch etwas wünschen....ok. Das Restaurant liegt zwar in einer Nebenstraße, aber um erstmal dort hin zu kommen, musste ich mich regelrecht durch Menschenmassen am Hermannplatz kämpfen.

Had visited for dinner with friends. The main course was decent not so good nor bad. The starters which we took didn't taste well. The Onion rings and Gobi pakoda had a sour taste of flour and were sent back. Staff didn't make a great effort to replace / reduce despite knowing it after they tasted as well. They served the main course. Would not recommend !
