The service at this Indian restaurant consistently surpasses expectations. The staff are incredibly welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home. The food quality is truly outstanding – every dish we've tried has been delicious. We are locals, and expats and we have been to this place more than 5 times and it's always great. We wholeheartedly recommend this place as one of the best Indian restaurants in Berlin.

The waiter is very nice and I felt very comfortable here. However, I have never eaten anything here.

The restaurant is incredibly tasty and authentic, with fresh ingredients and dishes that, unlike the common practice in many Indian restaurants in Berlin, differ significantly in both taste and consistency. Everything we ordered was absolutely on point. Dosa and dal makhni are simply amazing! It was amazing that there weren't that many guests in the evening, which was a big advantage for us as we didn't have to wait long for a table. Particularly noteworthy is the super friendly, attentive and caring service. We will definitely come back.

The food is decent. We ordered Vegetables Madras, Butter Naan which were good. But I was a little disappointed with the steamed Idli. The quantity of Sambar was too little for 2 pieces of Idlis. In general a decent place.

We more or less slid into the store because I needed a toilet 🙈😅that gave us the spontaneous idea to order food and take it with us. Luckily, because it was super tasty and the service was super shy and pleasant and we would have liked to eat there too, but unfortunately we didn't have time. I can definitely recommend the store!!! 👌

Best Indian food and service in Berlin!

Amazing food and service. We ordered medu vada, masala dosa, panipuri and cauliflower manchurian. One of the best panipuri in Berlin. Medu vada was crispy and flavourful. Dosa and machurian were also delicious. Service is super fast and extremely polite. They offered us masala tea, perfect end to cold winter dinner 🙂

"I visited Madras Cafe this evening and ordered the samosa chat. However, when I checked my bank statement, I was surprised to see that I had been charged €10.28. When I called the restaurant to inquire about the discrepancy, I was told that the price was €9 plus some extra cents. I'm still unclear about the additional charge. To make matters more confusing, the online menu on Google, Lieferando, and the restaurant's website all list the samosa chat for €7.90. I did request extra green sauce, so if that's the reason for the extra charge, please let me know and I'll be happy to adjust my review. I hope the management will look into this matter and provide better transparency for customers in the future."

Very tasty food. I had a Lamp Spinach Curry it was delicious but I couldn't finish it all as the portions were also very good. I was there with my mother and we had two masala chai's, one water, two curries and we also got two soups and a drink of our choice on the house, for which we paid 40 euros with a tip🫶. The waiters are also very friendly, even if we didn't talk to them much. I really liked that we were asked several times if everything was good and if it tasted good, of course not too often, very good! See you soon ❤️

Poor service and a rude waiter. That’s why the Sadhu next to you is always full of people, while you have no guests each time I go there.

Best South Indian food of Berlin in taste as well as quantity lot better than Sarvana Bhavan which is just a Brand name , Best Sambhar, Chutney & 4 pieces in Idaly Wada.

The food is super tasty, everything we tried was delicious. Must try Butter Chicken Masala and Masala Dosa. The Chai was pretty authentic. Definitely would try more dishes next time.

Yesterday i went in this restaurant everything was 10/10 …waiters were friendly , all Indian vibes were coming. Drinks were amazing as well as food also at last after the bill they offered us mango juice as a complimentary drink … best experience

A South Indian restaurant with nice vintage furniture and decent food. Next to the usuals, you can find Dosa and Idli. They had started very promisingly, but lately they have lost face. You find yourself sitting with a fake plastic candle listening to annoying full-volume commercials - not very romantic.

A must visit restaurant for South Indian dishes. I had dosa, medu vada and paapdi chaat it was really good and I enjoyed the food after so long! The atmosphere was also very nice and clam with good music. Had a really good time with friends ✨

The most pathetic idli I have ever had in my 36 years across continents. The idlis were so hard when in actual they are supposed to be the softest food . And they provide 3 spoons of sambar and one spoon of what they claim is a chutney ( take it from me a South Indian it’s not even close ) to eat the dry stone cold idli. If you want to put yourself through this experience and pay them to go through this please visit the place . And don’t even get me started on the lassi . For South Indian without a second thought sarvana Bhavan is the place and the long waiting queue is just worth it .

Everything is really right here! If you would like to eat Indian food but are afraid of always ordering the same thing, this is the right place for you. Because the dishes here are different and still Indian.

When we want Indian food, our choice always falls on Madras Cafe. Fantastically spiced South Indian dishes, with a nice atmosphere and super nice staff

It feels like... the Indian restaurant with the “most” authentic cuisine far and wide. In any case, there are a lot of South Indian dishes to try here that I don't know, nice and very tasty.

I had ordered the Mysore Masala Dosa and Masala Tea and would recommend both. Dosa was as crispy and spicy as I prefer. Also tried the Medu Vada and while it wasn't same level as the dosa, it was still good enough.

I must say the food, staff and the ambience of the cafe is so great. Best place for having south indian food in berlin.

It was incredibly delicious! Something a little different than most Indians in Berlin. Minced lamb is recommended. Top restaurant!

If you really want to eat Indian food and don't want to fall victim to the same old menus in normal Indian restaurants, you can't avoid Madras Cafe. There are interesting original South Indian dishes here, their variations and spices that you don't know (as a tip for something rather unknown, I can recommend the starter Pani Puri). Everything is super fresh, totally delicious, vegetarians also get their money's worth here and the staff is super friendly. We've been here a few times now and every time it's something very special. Absolute recommendation!!!

One of the best Indian restaurants in Berlin - still not as good as one in London, Dishoom for example, but still with some really, really tasty dishes. Pani Puri, the balls that pop in your mouth - super delicious. The steamed idli wasn't quite as good though. On the other hand, all the other dishes were better than usual in the city - and at the typically low prices in Berlin. The crowning finale: Chocolate Dosa - gigantic good!

I walked into this restaurant hungry for a filling and tasty meal and I walked out completely satisfied. I ordered the butter chicken and was pleasantly surprised by it's wonderful flavour. I would definitely recommend a visit if you are in need of a filling and tasty meal.

Excellence and very Great Service

Food can be quite good, especially the South Indian menu items. But on that point,- I wish they would deliver a bit more of South Indian menu. Maybe dosas are hard but some things like rasam and iddly would be work delivery I think? I would eat here more if this was possible!
