Highly recommend, food is awesome and super friendly service

I recently visited this restaurant and tried their butter chicken — it was absolutely fabulous! The flavors were rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced with spices. The portion size was good, and the service was friendly and prompt. I’ll definitely be visiting again and would highly recommend this place to anyone who loves authentic and delicious food.

Best Indian restaurant we have found in Berlin so far, really tasty food, authentic and not a salad in sight. Chennai Gosht was really nicely spiced. Bhatura was nice as well.

I am currently visiting Berlin from Munich. Overall, the food at Agni has been quite enjoyable, which led me to order repeatedly from this restaurant. However, I did notice that the portion sizes are considerably smaller compared to what I'm accustomed to in Munich. The packaging, in particular, is noticeably compact — stacking two of these boxes together would roughly equal the size of a single box in Munich. Additionally, the prices are slightly higher. It’s interesting to see how dining standards differ between cities. That said, the food is undeniably tasty at Agni.

I’ve always liked Agni but since the new administration it’s even better! The food is great and I love the new service quality and the fact they accept credit cards. Keep it up!

I went there with some friends and I was very positively surprised by how good the food was. Spicy enough and in good portions. Very fair quality to price ratio. I highly recommend this place for some authentic North Indian cuisine.

Highly recommend the place, I hosted a birthday party and had a great experience, the buffet was very good. The staff was also very friendly and cooperative. They booked us a part of the restaurant and let us decorate how we wanted to without any time restrictions. The food was very tasty and dosas were also served fresh.

This is definitely one of the better Indian restaurants I’ve been to, especially outside of India. The tandoori dishes were outstanding—perfectly cooked and seasoned, and remarkably close in taste and authenticity to what you’d find back home. We also tried a couple of tikka masala-based mains, and they were rich, flavorful, and satisfying. The spices were well-balanced, and the portions were generous. Service was smooth and efficient throughout our visit. The staff was polite and attentive, and we didn’t run into any issues. The only area for improvement would be the ventilation. Since many dishes are prepared in the tandoor, the restaurant did get a bit smoky at times. While it wasn’t overwhelming or unpleasant, a better exhaust system would definitely enhance the dining experience. Overall, a great place for authentic Indian food, and I’d happily return for another meal.

Very nice food, near authentic and welcoming staff. One of the best and underrated Indian restaurants in Berlin. And I want to keep it that way - lowkey. Recommend their fresh Mango lassi as well. On point price and taste.

The place is comfy and nice. When i arrived, i was the only one there. The food is not expensive, and is tasty. The place is clean as well and the service is nice.

Most delicious Indian food in Berlin. The service is also really nice, except the owner - she is a very strict lady and cares more to squeeze every penny than to make regular customers feel welcome and well-taken care of. Don't order sauces to go -- they come in miniscule overpriced portions .

The best Indian place in Berlin with actual homemade Indian food!

Cozy place in Prenzlauer Berg. Enough seats inside but make sure to book a table beforehand. Prices incredibly fair, a little bit cheaper than other Indian places. Service is a bit slow though. Ordered at 19.30 and received the first dishes after 25/30 minutes. Food is not bad but could be better. Some dishes (especially ones with chicken) are slightly unbalanced. Too little chicken as opposed to the preponderant sauces. Naan comes in different options (plain, butter, etc). Would have preferred it thicker, as a sort of bread/pizza. Instead it was very thin (but that is just personal taste). Not bad overall but not even one of the best.

Super delicious, I've been here a few times for a la carte, now for the second time for brunch. Brunch is always stupid to photograph. What gets me every time: the desserts. Today there was Shrikhand, before that there was Gulab Jamun. Forgot the Coke today, which I really don't understand, but the food is delicious. I can't really understand "too spicy".

I went here on the recommendation of several Indian friends and acquaintances. They say Agba is authentic Indian cuisine. So I have to believe the experts. I was particularly impressed with my tandoori dish. Very tasty chicken, seasoned with fresh herbs, cooked perfectly in the oven, juicy and with the roasted aromas of the fire. The best Indian food I have ever eaten in a restaurant in Berlin. The price-performance ratio is absolutely right.

The service was fantastic, super nice food, quick served, huge portions, everything was a 10 of 10! The only thing that I will recommend is to put a little down the lights. The rest super nice!

The restaurant offers excellent quality meat that is particularly fresh and tender. Of particular note is the Butter Chicken, which is perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful. The spices are wonderfully balanced and ideally complement the juicy chicken. In addition, the price-performance ratio is excellent. Here you can get authentic Indian cuisine of the best quality at a fair price. Absolutely recommended!

Management change. No more homemade food

This food tastes like it was made with love 💗 After living in Berlin for 10 years, I was surprised to finally find excellent Indian food. The spices were assertive and the dishes all tasted very special. The sambar was extra yummy. Next time I’ll try to find a bowl instead of plate ☺️The people working were friendly in a relaxed way, bringing fresh pooris around as they became available. I loved the chapati 🫓 too! Can’t wait to go back 😛🙏 UPDATE: ordered some items for delivery a few nights ago and was disappointed ☹️ the veg Thali seemed overpriced and the food was a little bland. Veggie curries didn’t seem to have any actual vegetables, just sauces, one with paneer, the other with some kind of dough item and also black lentil Dahl. The bread was good though. It would have been nice with some salad or chutneys. I will go back for the buffet but won’t order off the menu here again. I had to subtract a star.

The best Gosht Vindaloo I have eaten in Berlin. (and I've tried quite a few vindaloos at restaurants in many counties.) Hands down the best. For me, the sauce is the perfect consistency, it wasn't colored red to indicate chilis, but at first glance it seems more brown, as I said, creamy, and you can literally see the aromas from the meat and spices. (Admittedly, the scent makes it even clearer that it brings with it heartiness. ...I'm still becoming a fanboy...) Oh yes, the meat was of course super tender and super tasty, complemented by the sauce and wasn't dominated by it and didn't dominate it either. No outstanding gamey taste, also consistency/texture great, no fat, no tendon) What made it perfect for me was the fresh and really crispy bhatura, so that even the leftover sauce was a pleasure. What I had often missed in other restaurants was the often too timid note of salt that they dared to add here. The roundness of the spices was also often missing, so that the chili note, for example, often stood out unconnected with the rest. Everything in this sauce was wonderfully harmonious and coordinated, without any flavor remaining isolated and unconnected. I was simply served an extremely delicious experience. Oh yes, the Bhatura was also the tastiest in a long time, thanks to the crispiness that lasted till the end. The only time I've ever had something this good was in a Charlottenburg restaurant that no longer exists. Please be sure to try it in the restaurant on site. - I've ordered delivery here a few times, but so much is lost in comparison in terms of freshness, crunchiness and overall taste. In terms of taste, it was such a big surprise for me that I'm writing this review now, still here in the restaurant, and I'm still smiling slightly blissfully. :-) Tldr: Best Gosht Vindaloo and Bhatura, will have to try other dishes soon.

The best Indian restaurant in Berlin! I've never been to India and so unfortunately I can't talk about how authentic the food is here, but I've never experienced such a variety and such fresh dishes in any other Indian restaurant in Germany! Even if you're a vegetarian, you'll definitely not only find what you're looking for here, but you'll also be able to try something new every time. An extra: they definitely have the best paneer dishes in the city, and the samosas are also really, really good. The Agni team is very friendly and attentive, even in the store, which is always busy, and has one or two strong recommendations from the menu ready upon request. The restaurant is still a real insider tip, but really down-to-earth and cozy. Will stop by again very soon!

The nan is soft and chicken tikka is so tender. Authentic Indian food is so rare in Berlin. I am super glad to have found Agni. Great staff as well. Still not over the gajar ka halwa.😊

You can order many different dishes , from different parts of India I tried the tandoori paneer & the daal, both of which were really good. As a vegetarian I was so happy to find many dishes to select from. But the best part is the attentive Service: we‘ll definitely come back Do try the „Suji Halwa“. It’s a sweet delight!

Had a great experience at the Agni Indian restaurant's all-you-can-eat Sunday buffet for just 11.50 euros! The menu featured delicious pav bhaji, rajma chaawal, aaloo poori, samosas, and ice cream. The food tastes nice—better than other Indian buffets I've tried. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend and will definitely visit again!

The most authentic Indian place in Berlin!

Great taste excursion into another world of spices. I had the South Indian lentil soup. Coconut curry lentils with onions. Very tasty, but also a little spicy. The main course today was lamb fillet vindaloo. It was advertised as spicy and it was. But everything was to a tolerable extent that could be combated with beer. The service was very friendly. The food came after about 20 minutes. All in all a good experience and certainly recommended.

Things to consider before you go for the "Lunch Buffet" on Sunday: 1) First of all, we booked through Google reservation but once we were at the restaurant , they said that they only take bookings over the phone and even when we were showing them the confirmation that we got via text by the restaurant, they seemed very confused by that. Luckily there were free seats available otherwise we would have been in trouble to get a free place. 2) If you are happy with just a few options (3-4 dishes) then you are good to go but otherwise I personally felt that it's not worth it for 11.50 euros. There are other restaurants in Berlin that offer more with the same price and even in cheap price. 3) Regarding the food, even though it's an Indian restaurant, being an Indian I felt like the foods were very average and very spicy (Hot) in terms of taste. I would definitely not recommend the sambar because it didn't feel like sambar. 4) They have mentioned on the advertisement "Rice and More" but there were no more options to be honest. 5) Overall, it was okayish but not worth for the money and the whole system was mismanaged.

Amazing place! They had one of the best buffet that I have been to. Authentic Indian menu with extremely friendly and accommodating owners make this place a must visit! I would personally recommend the Chicken Curry Punjabi and Murgh Lajawab. Absolutely affordable and top notch!
