After three visits in different groups, we remain enthusiastic about Maharaja's vegetarian food. The dishes all taste authentically Indian, but each one is individually seasoned and balanced. And of course super tasty and aromatic. It has never been full, which makes for a very relaxed atmosphere and gives the service time to exchange a few words.

As always, the food was great 👍🏼 Malai Kofta is highly recommended. Just like Cobra beer. The service was impressive, without writing anything down, everything was memorized without exception and assigned correctly at the table. We'd love to come back.

The food is very tasty, the employees are always super friendly and I always enjoy being there. There is a large selection of dishes and all special requests are catered for. Maharaja is highly recommended. Price performance is also very good👍🏼

The Maharaja is one of our favorite restaurants. The dips for the starter aren't quite as good as other similar restaurants, but that makes up for the main course. It tastes very good. Service varies by person. The starter was taken away from us once during the meal because the main course was about to arrive. We also found it very unusual that the service person walked around with headphones in their ears. Another drawback is the parking situation. But if you value food above all else, you'll have a really good time here! Bon appetit!

Fantastic, authentic Indian food. We often go out for Indian food and know Indian cuisine quite well. This restaurant is outstanding. The taste of the dishes is soooo delicious. Everything is perfectly seasoned, the service is fast and all the employees are very nice. We always enjoy coming back and are willing to travel an hour to do so.

Hidden somewhat inconspicuously on Himmelgeister Straße and therefore not in the center of Düsseldorf, there is a real insider tip if you want to enjoy Indian food. Good service, pleasant prices, enough space and last but not least, excellent quality of the food. Tip: table reservations make sense.

Food and service are great. The atmosphere is very semi. A stone elephant on the table already looks “trying”. There is more.

On a rainy day. So the restaurant is pretty empty. The service was nice and friendly. For me it was the first time I ate Indian food. I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed the food. My friend told me that the tomato soup was so delicious and it was actually great. There are many vegan dishes and around 50% meat dishes. Of course, spiciness is something personal for every taste. I liked it. If I'm in Düsseldorf again, I'd love to eat here again.

A very good Indian in the Bilk district. The location invites you to linger and from my own experience I can recommend Chicken Maharaja and Chicken Tikka Masala. The lentil soup is also very good.

The food was delicious and the service was fantastic: fast, friendly, attentive and committed. Important to know: The food is always served mild, which is very untypical for Indian cuisine. If you do not want this, you must say so when ordering. This is also on the map, but is easily overlooked. The star deduction for service is because the reservation, made in writing via the homepage, didn't work out. Then I had to call. From then on everything worked really well. 13 people and three children. You have to do it first. 😁

The food is really fantastic. No matter whether ordered or on site. And the employees are always really nice, friendly and helpful. Delivery is usually very quick, even on Sundays in the early evening it rarely took longer than 30 minutes. The food is extremely good, a taste explosion. No matter what I've eaten here so far, it's been delicious and well prepared. I'm already looking forward to the next visit.

Found uncooked pieces of chicken in the Korma, Polythene pieces with in cabbage salad in the chicken tandoori. However the staffs are quite OK with it, they don't even care about it when you tell them. Most dishes they say come with basmati rice However if you pack something the pack you 30grams of rice with it. Still figuring out why the hell they give this free rice with their main courses. Avoid going there. However Dall Makhani was somehow good with Naans

First of all: The food was really tasty. The service was nice, but not well organized. Therefore, inquiries are necessary. You could also simply write down what the guests order. The decor is very colorful, unfortunately the restaurant is somehow too small. On the toilet you would simply have to clean the sink fittings with a toothbrush and vinegar cleaner, then it would be clean, older limescale deposits.

We had a great time with delicious food at MAHARAJA! My Indian/german coworker recommend me this place as she’s been here before. And I can tell you, it was a hit!! We shared the Karahi Paneer and the Butter chicken. Both was so so good. Also had a sideorder of the Garlic Naan-yummy. Very friendly service as well, I definitely come back 👍🏻

Wir haben uns in einer Vierer-Runde durch verschiedene Vor-und Hauptspeisen probiert. Alle Gerichte, mit und ohne Fleisch, waren unglaublich köstlich, das Fleisch butterzart, die Gemüsebällchen in Cashew Soße ein Gedicht. Danke für dieses tolle Geschmackserlebnis und den überaus freundlichen Service!

Schönes kleines Restaurant mit guter und authentischer Indischer Küche. Der Service war schnell und sehr freundlich. Als unangenehmer haben wir das ständige rein und raus von Lieferservice Fahrern empfunden. Da sollte der Fokus doch mehr auf die Gäste im Restaurant gelegt werden.

The chicken biriyani was a letdown. I don't know if the kashmiri type of biriyani tastes like that. The garlic butter naan, shahi paneer and chilli chicken were nice. The interior is chic giving classy vibes with a bar counter. Also suitable for dates. The WC is spacious, clean and the best I've found in Indian restaurants in Düsseldorf. Satisfied with the service as well.

Meine Frau und ich waren schon vor längerer Zeit einmal dort und es wahr eine wirklich traurige Vorstellung. Heute habe wir mal dort bestellt und was zuhause ankam wahr wirklich ein schlechter Witz für das Geld. Alles hat gleich geschmeckt und war nur vor Fett am triefen. Einfach nicht dort essen !!!

Wir haben schon einige Male hier bestellt und jedes Mal ist das Essen perfekt! Einfach das leckerste indische Essen in Düsseldorf. Am liebsten bestellen wir Lamm Biryani, Butter Chicken und Chicken Tikka Masala.

Sehr schönes indisches Restaurant. Das Gesamtkonzept passt einfach gut. Sehr freundliche Bedienung, schöne Einrichtung und sehr leckeres Essen. Vor allem ist der Schärfegrad vernünftig an die deutsche Küche angepasst. Ich hatte das Lamm Korma und würde es sofort weiter empfehlen! Gerne wieder.

Ich hatte das Lamm Biryani gehabt. Das Fleisch war zart und lecker und das Reis war perfekt gegart und gewürzt. Meine Freunde hatten ein Curry mit Paneer gehabt. Wir hatten selten so ein gutes Paneer gehabt. Für den Preis hatten wir sehr ordentliche Portionen gehabt. Wir waren pappsatt. Wirklich mit Abstand das beste indische Essen was ich hier in Düsseldorf hatte. Möglicherweise auch in ganz NRW. Werde auf jeden Fall öfter kommen

Tolles Restaurant, gehe ich immer wieder gerne hin. Das Personal ist freundlich und das Essen sehr lecker. Meiner Meinung nach das beste indische Restaurant in Düsseldorf. Wenn man die Gerichte ein wenig scharf bestellt, sind sie sehr scharf und für mich nicht essbar gewesen. Aber auch da war der Service super und sie haben mein Gericht getauscht. Würde ich all meinen Bekannten weiter empfehlen.

Super frisch und lecker, wir essen beide vegetarisch und sind seit Jahren Stammkunden. Ich kann alle vegetarischen Hauptgerichte uneingeschränkt empfehlen, unsere Favoriten sind Malai Kofta, Shahi Paneer und Baingan Bharta. In der Regel bestellen wir für zuhause, insbesondere die Selbstabholung ist meist innerhalb von 20 Minuten möglich.

Ich kann das Essen dort nur empfehlen ! Sehr nette Kellner, preislich absolut ok ! Und das Essen ist einfach traumhaft 👍

The Chicken Tikka masala was good, though not spicy for Indian taste buds but it was good. Keema naan was also good, so was the mango Lassi. Only setback was the chicken pakoda, with a soft chickpea flour covering, which doesn't make sense. Atleast I haven't had this variety of chicken pakoda (they are always suppose to be crispy), so, not worth trying. Ambience is good, polite staff. Quantity is good for the chicken dish. I might visit again to try their other dishes.

Es war einfach richtig lecker. Der Reis locker, das Naanbrot knusprig und die Gerichte eine Geschmackserlebnis! Besonders "Safran Tikka Chicken" pfiffig, knackig besonders! Und auch das Mangolassi perfekt! Der leckerste Inder seit Jahren! Wir kommen definitiv wieder!!!!

Das Restaurant hat eine super Lage. Service ist sehr schnell und mega nett, das Essen (Butter Chicken und Chicken Tikka Masala) was super lecker und hat genau so geschmeckt wie man das von der Indischen Küche erwartet. Die Portionsgrösse war top also genug um satt zu werden und vielleicht sogar nochwas mitzunehmen.

Ich habe die schlimmste und bitterste Erfahrung mit diesem Restaurant gemacht Ich hatte eine Catering-Bestellung für den 2. Geburtstag meiner Tochter aufgegeben und wir hatten uns auf alles geeinigt (Preis, Ort, Zeit usw.) Zwei Tage vorher wollte ich sie an die bevorstehende Bestellung wie vereinbart erinnern, und zu meinem Schock wurde ein neuer Preis genannt, ohne dass ich etwas geändert hätte, abgesehen von der Erhöhung der Bestellung für zwei zusätzliche Personen. Dieser neue Preis war fast doppelt so hoch wie der vereinbarte Preis, und selbst nach einem 30-minütigen Gespräch mit ihm schien er sich nicht um seine unethischen Praktiken zu kümmern. Ich beschloss, die Bestellung bei ihm nicht aufzunehmen, und wandte mich an ein anderes indisches Restaurant, das einen fairen Preis bot (weniger als der ursprüngliche Maharaja Preis) und dessen Essen ebenfalls sehr lecker war. Ich werde nie wieder meinen Fuß in das Maharaja setzen und es auch niemandem empfehlen. Bleiben Sie weg. Das ist meiner Meinung nach die uneitelste, unmoralischste und unehrlichste Art, Geschäfte zu machen.

Worst Indian restaurant that I have visited in Europe . They should not call the dish as Briyani instead they can call it as pulav or sambhar rice. chicken was over cooked , staffs were always starring with tough face. We sat inside the restaurant and still there are lot of flies rounding us . Hair in the dish , omg miserable experience.

Update: Ich war jetzt mehrere Male dort! Immer perfekt, es fällt mir mittlerweile schwer, NICHT hinzugehen wenn ich in Düsseldorf bin! Sehr freundlich, minimale Wartezeit und dann extrem leckeres Butter Chicken. Es hat sich definitiv gelohnt und ich bin vollstens zufrieden 🌻

Das war eine wunderbares Essen in diesem Lokal. Wir hatten es scharf, wie in Indien bestellt und hatten es auch bekommen. Der Geschmack war insgesamt sehr lecker und die Optik war auch super. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hat mir sogar etwas von der scharfen Chili-Paste, die sie dort hatten zum mitnehmen nach Hause angeboten. Insgesamt kann ich jedem empfehlen dort hinzugehen. Wir werden auch sicherlich noch mal dieses Restaurant besuchen. Auch von meinem Opa, der 3 Monate in Indien gelebt hat empfohlen, der sich auch meiner Bewertung anschließt.

Wirklich rundum leckeres indisches Essen, auf Wunsch auch eher mild zubereitet, und das alles zu fairen Preisen. Weil das Restaurant auch liefert, kann es manchmal ein wenig dauern, aber nie richtig dolle lang. Gruppen von mehr als zwei Personen sollten reservieren, weil das nicht große Restaurant immer gut belegt ist.
