Very tasty dishes! We love their food! The staff is also very friendly and accommodating. Once I accidentally paid for an order twice and didn't realize it. The restaurant called me, alerted me to this and quickly refunded the double payment. Absolutely recommended!

A truly hidden gem in a small sleepy suburb of Düsseldorf. The Taste of India truly showcases what India is best known for- hearty food and warm hospitality. I can 100% say that the naans were one of the best we’ve had in Germany. Scrumptious baingan bharta and dal tadka- made for a delectable and comforting lunch! The restaurant is small, so perhaps make a reservation, but for a weekday lunch- we found the table easily.

It is quite small, that makes it difficult to move around and the ventilation is bad. I didn't like the food but the rice.

The food was so delicious that we went there two days in a row. I can highly recommend the Roti and Butter Veg. The staff is also extremely friendly and quick.

Yesterday on Sunday morning, online reservation was made for 6 people for the same day in the evening at 6:30 p.m. Table was reserved. Most of us have never had Indian food and asked the waitress about the different types of preparation (tikka, tandori, vindalo, etc.). The service is very friendly, patient and competent. Beforehand there was very thin Indian flatbread with three sauces (chilli, mint, mango) which was very well received. We all had different dishes (chicken, lamb and vegetarian) with different preparation methods and levels of spiciness. We enjoyed it very much. We also tried the sauces from other family members and found them to be consistently good. In my opinion the price-performance ratio is very good and we will come back. I don't know how authentically Indian spicy the dishes are. For the eating habits of the six of us, spicy = spicy but well tolerated and mild = mild. Our 86-year-old also tried everything and would definitely come again.

Super delicious Indian food and top service. I've already tried mango chicken, butter chicken and tikka masala in some Indian restaurants in Düsseldorf. The food here was great and the naan bread is also highly recommended. We'll definitely be back.

Small inconspicuous restaurant but very tasty food! Butter chicken and chicken biryani are very good. Everyone very friendly.

Not recommended in all respects! In terms of furnishings, it's a mix of pub, kebab shop and Indian. The service seems clumsy and the food is rather mediocre. I had a lentil soup, mainly water and prawns, South Indian style, although it didn't taste anything special and tasted mainly of ginger, but it was quite expensive. I mostly felt out of place, somewhere between over-observance and disregard. Watching TV and music at the same time didn't make me feel better. The broken music box, which sometimes played loudly and scratchily, then again quietly, crowned the discomfort here.

I don't want to take any more. But it's there. And it's so delicious. I ignore the feeling of dizziness and the fact that I can no longer move. But it's so good. 10 out of 5 stars.

Very nice restaurant. Very tasty and authentic food. The restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's still worth eating there. The lamb mango curry is highly recommended.

I'm glad that there is an Indian restaurant in Benrath. It's located in a pub - the atmosphere is therefore rather inappropriate - but ok. Food is solid - but there is a bit of room for improvement (e.g. more aromatic, less sweet). The mango lassi is too sweet for me and tastes artificial. Prices are ok - but not cheap either. They make an effort with the service.

We ordered pick up and ate at home. I had Shahi Paneer (vegetarian dish with cottage cheese) and it was indescribably delicious. We will definitely eat there again!

Finally a restaurant in Benrath that offers a really large selection of vegetarian dishes! The food was very tasty and the service was friendly and attentive. And extremely inexpensive! We will be back.

The food came quickly after we ordered and all 9 of us enjoyed it very much! A restaurant like this was missing in Benrath with such a price-performance ratio!! We would like to come again!! We were here today at the Taste of India. We are very surprised that Indian food can be so good, we have had very bad experiences elsewhere. Price performance is great, really recommended. Just be careful beforehand about what tastes spicy or fruity. We'd love to come back!!!

Food and service 5 stars...the atmosphere is rather old-fashioned. But that doesn't detract from the friendliness and quality of the food that awaits guests.

Went there for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. The food is very tasty, the service is attentive and the price/performance ratio is very good. Ambiance can still be improved. But the friendliness and attention makes up for it. During peak times, another service person would be necessary, but probably not available. Like so often. Always my pleasure!

Compared to other Indian restaurants, I was very disappointed with the ambience but also the food. I ordered lamb curry, my friend ordered chicken curry. It was edible but nothing special, especially very poor in terms of price-performance ratio. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a pub. Old-fashioned, yellowed furnishings. It's a shame, I was hoping for more. Therefore not recommended in my opinion.

A much needed injection of flavors to Benrath. Also came with warm service that took care of our party of 8 efficiently.

Wir waren beim ersten Besuch so begeistert, dass wir mit unserem Besuch ein zweites Mal am nächsten Tag hingegangen sind. Die Auswahl der Speisen ist super reichhaltig. Kein Gericht schmeckt gleich, alle schön unterschiedlich gewürzt. Da hat man echt das Gefühl indisch zu essen Das Preis Leistungs Verhältnis st super und die Portionen sind reichhaltig. Zuvorkommende liebe Bewirtung. Das Ambiente könnte durch ein dimmbare Beleuchtung noch verbessert werden. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Ich war heute das erste Mal da, wir haben mehrere Gerichte ausprobiert. Ob mit oder ohne Fleisch, dazu die Dippsossen (auch mit dem Gerichten kombinierbar).. sooo lecker, absolut zu empfehlen. Eine Gewürzvielfalt die Seinesgleichen sucht. Danke

Immer wieder lecker. Der Service ist sehr freundlich. Jetzt wurde auch die Deko installiert. Macht die Gaststätte gleich netter.

Die Toiletten sind sehr unsauber,da vergeht einem der Appetit.

Der Service und das Essen waren super. Allerdings ist das Ambiente noch eine Kneipe, das soll wohl geändert werden. Die Portionen sind groß genug, dass man satt wird.

Auch wenn die Lieferung sehr lang gedauert hat war es extrem lecker frisch und fast nicht zu vergleichen mit anderen indischen Restaurants in der Gegend. Top ! Zartes Gut gewürztes Butter chicken.

Essen schmeckt super authentisch, wir haben es gut vertragen :D Service stets nett und zuvorkommend, das Ambiente erscheint vielleicht für einige ungewöhnlich, da das Restaurant auch gleichzeitig eine Kneipe ist, in der man für kleines Geld übrigens auch kegeln gehen kann! Eine ungewöhnliche Kombi, was aber das Essen keinesfalls negativ beeinflusst.

Extrem guter neuer Inder in Benrath. Besonders authentisches Essen, sehr aufmerksam und gastfreundlich. Nicht vom Ambiente einer alten Kneipe abschrecken lassen, die Umgestaltung ist mit Sicherheit noch in den Anfangszügen und wird noch entsprechend angepasst :)

Sehr lecker, schneller und guter Service. Vegan ist gut möglich aber leider nicht gut gekennzeichnet.

Wir waren hier zu dritt an einem Freitagabend essen. Da wir uns kurzfristig dazu entschieden hatten, hatten wir Glück, noch spontan einen Tisch zu bekommen. Das Essen war sehr gut. Insbesondere das Knoblauch-Naan war top. Ich hatte Shahi Paneer bestellt, was auch unglaublich lecker war. Wir waren also sehr zufrieden mit dem Essen. Leider mussten wir sehr lang aufs Essen warten. Mir gefiel zudem das Ambiente nicht so sehr. Die Einrichtung passt für mich nicht zum essen und es war sehr warm im Restaurant. Was mich störte, war, dass der Fernseher, der mitten im Restaurant hängt, dauerhaft lief. Zwar ohne Ton, aber trotzdem unpassend. Für das Essen würde ich auf jeden Fall wieder kommen. Ich hoffe, die Wartezeit wird kürzer, wenn sich das Team besser einspielt. Und vielleicht kann man auf den Fernseher ja verzichten ;)

Authentische indische Küche im Herzen von Benrath. Ungewöhnliches Ambiente, da es eine ehemalige Kneipe ist. Aber ein netter Service macht dies wieder wett.

Essen & Service sind echt super! Am Ambiente wird was gemacht, wurde uns gesagt. War vorher eher eine Kneipe. Aber das Essen reißt dafür alles raus.. wir kommen sicher wieder! Hab mir auch schon liefern lassen

Dort gibt es einen Herren der sehr unfreundlich ist und immer einen aggressiven Blick drauf hat . Essen war in Ordnung obwohl auf der Speisekarte 4,50€ stand und die Bedienung 5,00€ verlangte also aufpassen bitte .

Essen: absolut authentisches Essen , sehr sehr lecker. Ich hatte scharfes Lamm. Wir waren schon in anderen Lokalitäten, p/l mehr als fair. Personal super freundlich, sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Wir kommen wieder !! Ambiente ist noch im Aufbau.

Interessantes Konzept. In der Kneipe war ich noch nicht, aber jetzt mit dem Essen und Altbier ein cooler Laden. Quasi eine indische Altbierkneipe. Gefällt mir. Das Essen ist sehr gut. Mir persönlich nicht zu scharf und ich komme gerne wieder.
