One of the worst restaurants i have ever visited abroad. If ur an Indian, pls do not visit this place. Only the foreigners are respected and they give you a wierd stare if you are an Indian. We wanted to order just a meal for our kid, since me and my wife were quite full after the Christmas Market hopping. The waiter or the owner (not sure who it is) gave us a wierd and nasty look since we ordered just one veg pulao. We specially said it has to be non spicy since it was for my kid. And we got a briyani so damn spicy. Even after asking for a change or some alteration, I was offered some sugar to mix with it ( seriously???). The water bottle was charged 6-7euros which is expensive than a juice or lassi there. Also outside water is not allowed while sustainability is being promoted across EU. Zero hospitality towards Indins, rude people and horrible food.

I was really happy today to come here and have some nice butter chicken and garlic naans. As an Indian it’s rare to find genuinely authentic food paired with lovely service and an elegant atmosphere. I would have no hesitation in recommending this place! The owners are also really lovely.

One of the worst Indian food I have ever eaten. I ordered samosas as starters & after eating this I knew that the food would not be good. It took them near an hour to bring our food and I hoped this long time would be spent on preparing our food properly but unfortunately not. We ordered 4 different dishes and only the Dal was acceptable. I am surprised that in spite of this quality of food the restaurant was practically full of customers!!

Really nice place, kind owners, great vibe, terrific food

I ate Indian food for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. The butter chicken was mild, creamy, and well-balanced, while the vindaloo was distinctly spicy and aromatic without being bitter or overpowering. The garlic naan was freshly baked, slightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside – perfect for soaking up the sauces. The raita had a good balance of spiciness. The service was quiet, attentive, and unobtrusive. The ambiance was simple but pleasant, and the food was served hot and at the same time. Indian cuisine here can truly taste refined and clean – not greasy, not loud, but well-structured. I'll be back.

We have been visiting this restaurant since 2017 & we will keep coming again and again not only because of fabulous food but also so friendly atmosphere.

Horrible experience. Food was below average. The servers were irritated to even serve ice with drinks and their response was” please ask ones what you need”. The service was very slow. Not even onions were served nor green chutney. I will not recommend this place to anyone. You have money to waste , go there. The lady and one male server, were the worst servers in any restaurant I have seen.

This is not a real Indian restaurant — it’s more of an international restaurant with a slight Indian touch 👅. The chef 👨‍🍳 doesn’t seem to be Indian, or maybe he has adapted his cooking to a more European style. The food is good, but definitely not the best. I ordered chicken biryani, but honestly, it didn’t taste like one. The butter chicken was just average — the curry didn’t include coconut milk or real ghee 🧈 as expected. Maybe some people will like it, but for me, it didn’t have the true taste of India. ❤️🇮🇳 Also the samosa fried inside air fryer not fryer in real oil to taste the real taste Also, the price is too high for the portion size, which doesn’t really match what you pay for.

Food was so good I forgot to take pictures! Tried their Samosa, butter chicken and garlic Naan… all 3 were delicious and highly recommended, socially the butter chicken with the garlic naan! Will definitely be going back and highly recommend this place if you love authentic Indian cuisine!

I expected something different. I associate Indian food with sauces and spices... The food was basically OK, but nothing I'd want to repeat or that impressed me. Finally, I asked what people typically drink after eating, and the answer was: NOTHING. So I ordered an espresso from the Indian restaurant. Disappointing. And if there were any leftovers, you couldn't take them with you. There was an explicit notice on the door. It was a shame; it was a spontaneous decision to eat there. We were full, but that was it. The best part was the fresh bread that was served with the main course. It was a shame.

I had Chicken Tikka Masala with a small portion of rice and Mango Lassi — the food was good and the ambience was pleasant. The only thing I didn’t like is that they don’t allow packing the leftover food. I usually eat small portions and like to take the rest later, so it would be great if they allowed that. Otherwise, a nice place overall!

Great Indian cuisine! We've rarely eaten such good Indian food at such a fair price. The friendly staff and owners are also the reason we've been here twice in the last two weeks!

I took my colleague's to offer indian food. The food was ok. But quantity of starters is too less for the price. They should double the quantity for same price. So much crowd but too less people to manage. We were 9 people, they ask us to order the food in one go, how it is possible? The served the non very soggy and cold. Biriyani was not at all good. 70% of briyani is white rice, also very low quality Basmati rice or i doubt it may be long grain rice. Over all the team tested indian food.

The lady managing constantly looked grouchy. Food was decent. Cleanliness seemed good. A smile could help them. Besides service needs improvement.

Walking into this restaurant felt like stepping through a spice - scented portal straight to india . Outside , chilly ,laughter and cardamom . I ordered the chicken tikka masala , and one bite took me back to streets of delhi . The roti was soft like cloud and the chai ... Pure comfort in a cup . If homesickness had a cure , it would taste exactly like this place

The food came, without the plates being laid out. We ordered the chilli paneer and it was chewy paneer marinated in sauce with coleslaw type salad. 😅 And this was 50% more expensive than the other good Indian restaurants. Extremely disappointing.

Went there on 7th Oct. The Resturant was empty with just one more table occupied by Chinese/ Korean. I have had the most pathetic experience of an Indian Resturant outside India. The lady (owner) was very disrespectful and lacked hospitality especially for which we Indians are known for and we felt that her behaviour towards Indians was pathetic. Ashamed of who our same community people treat other fellow Indians. I am an avid traveller and have never felt that minute ever. Will not recommend especially Indians to go there.

It’s funny how you see rasist behaviour towards an Indian in an Indian restaurant by Indians ( or I’m guessing they were Indians). In the city for business and wanted to grab Indian food. The food is good! But I really hope they behave with the same manners with Indians as they do with the locals. Barely bothered to attend us.

This was our first and last time here. The service (if you can even call it that) was outrageous. Background: We joined the group later and were told to wait forever for service. Once she was at the table, we weren't allowed to order an appetizer because the others hadn't ordered any, and she took the main courses. My meal only had sauce, except for four small pieces of meat. The food definitely didn't look like the pictures. After complaining, the manager apologized, but there was no concession or compensation. On the contrary, we were asked to pay €12.50 for unordered bread. Conclusion: never again. Others that evening also complained.

Despite the restaurant being full, the waitress found a way to get us a table for three. The food still arrived very quickly and tasted absolutely delicious! Despite the stressful situation, the waitress was super friendly and even offered to charge a phone at our table because it was almost empty. It was just a bit noisy in the restaurant, but that was due to it being so busy. All in all, we had a very nice evening here!

Loved the Chicken Tikka Masala ,rich creamy sauce and perfectly cooked chicken with garlic naan. The naan was soft and buttery, just the way it should be.

On August 21st, we visited Mayur Restaurant in Düsseldorf – and we were completely thrilled: • Service: Fantastic! Very attentive and incredibly friendly – ​​I'm sure it was the owner, perhaps even Tamir, because he really took the time to speak with us personally. • Dishes & Drinks: We had butter chicken and a chicken biryani – both composed with plenty of flavor, fresh and lovingly served. The portions were generous, perhaps a little small for me personally, but absolutely satisfying. The drinks, especially the mango lassi, were refreshing and ideal for the warm summer evening. • Ambience: Very pleasant and inviting, with a comfortable temperature – you immediately feel comfortable and welcome. • Value for money: Fairly priced for the high quality of the food and absolutely convincing. • Conclusion: I can wholeheartedly recommend Mayur – whether for a relaxed evening with friends, a romantic dinner, or even a business meeting. We'll definitely be back!

We happened to visit Mayur today. There were three of us and we were very pleased with the food. My lamb curry from the lunch menu was excellent. Friendly owners, highly recommended.
