It’s funny how you see rasist behaviour towards an Indian in an Indian restaurant by Indians ( or I’m guessing they were Indians). In the city for business and wanted to grab Indian food. The food is good! But I really hope they behave with the same manners with Indians as they do with the locals. Barely bothered to attend us.

Everything was great, delicious Indian food in Düsseldorf. I will reccomend if you want to try Real Indian authontic Food 😍🤩

Despite the restaurant being full, the waitress found a way to get us a table for three. The food still arrived very quickly and tasted absolutely delicious! Despite the stressful situation, the waitress was super friendly and even offered to charge a phone at our table because it was almost empty. It was just a bit noisy in the restaurant, but that was due to it being so busy. All in all, we had a very nice evening here!

The service was very unfriendly. No greeting when I entered, the waiter was rude when I ordered, and the prawn curry only came with rice even though most Indian restaurants let you choose bread or rice. The food was just dropped on the table, and for €30 the service was really poor. At the end, I had to go to the counter to pay instead of being given the bill at the table. On August 21st, we visited Mayur Restaurant in Düsseldorf – and we were completely thrilled: • Service: Fantastic! Very attentive and incredibly friendly – ​​I'm sure it was the owner, perhaps even Tamir, because he really took the time to speak with us personally. • Dishes & Drinks: We had butter chicken and a chicken biryani – both composed with plenty of flavor, fresh and lovingly served. The portions were generous, perhaps a little small for me personally, but absolutely satisfying. The drinks, especially the mango lassi, were refreshing and ideal for the warm summer evening. • Ambience: Very pleasant and inviting, with a comfortable temperature – you immediately feel comfortable and welcome. • Value for money: Fairly priced for the high quality of the food and absolutely convincing. • Conclusion: I can wholeheartedly recommend Mayur – whether for a relaxed evening with friends, a romantic dinner, or even a business meeting. We'll definitely be back!

We happened to visit Mayur today. There were three of us and we were very pleased with the food. My lamb curry from the lunch menu was excellent. Friendly owners, highly recommended.

As an Indian, I found the food disappointing. I honestly don’t understand how this place has a 4.8 rating!!! it feels misleading. The food was far below expectations, especially for the price we paid. Flavours were bland, portions were small, and nothing tasted fresh. Not worth the hype or the cost. Definitely not a place I’d return to.

We were there last Sunday with the whole family – six of us. The owner showed us to our table in a friendly manner and immediately created a welcoming, family atmosphere. The ordered dishes arrived promptly and were of very good quality. The main courses are generously portioned – so don't overdo it with the starters 😀. During our stay, the chef's unobtrusive presence ensured our well-being and a pleasant atmosphere. I can definitely recommend this restaurant and will certainly return.

Absolutely delicious; we paid less than 60 euros for two main courses (Dal Palak and Gosht Khyberi) and four drinks. We have to go back. There's so much more to try.

Good food but waiter and waitress seemed to be in a rush without proper respect for the guest. I arrived at 21:30 pm and they acted like they didn’t wanted to serve however, I did had lamb vindaloo at the end, and it was delicious. If they can’t keep the energy and service until 22:00, they should probably limit their opening hours and close early. I feel they sometimes exaggerate too much in service, bowing down unnecessarily many time.

Really nice place, humble and friendly staff and a very clean place as well. The menu has a good variety of options covering all vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. The portion size is good as well. But it is quite pricey, considering other similar places.

2021 Lovely Indian restaurant near Karlsplatz. My wife raved about it and didn't overpromise. Everything was to our complete satisfaction. I ordered dal makhani again, and my wife ordered chicken with spinach and ginger, garlic, and Kashmiri spices. Everything was very tasty; I can confidently recommend it! 03.07.25 We've been here a few times in the past, but the quality hasn't been as good in the last year, hence the one-star deduction.

Nice Indian restaurant Nice food Close to authentic Indian

We recently been to this restaurant. The service was quick and the food didn't take much time to arrive. Food was also ok. I mean it was as good as you can find in Indian restaurant in Germany. However, for me the biggest disappointment was that the restaurant doesn't pack any left over food. I have never seen such rule anywhere else in Europe. Each curry cost on average 15-20 EUR and they don't even pack the left over for us or provide any container. They have already placed ugly A4 size black and white notice on their door that kills the mood.

The chicken tikka, which has been marinated for 24 hours, is highly recommended. The briyani was okay and didn't really give me a wow feeling. But everything is way too expensive. You have to spend almost €20 for each main course.

Probably 1 of the long serving Indian restaurant in Dussdorf and having average food taste. The biggest challenge is about the service and attitude of the staff, which is not suitable for the kind of business. There is no softness or customer-friendly sense overall apart from the calm and peaceful atmosphere (which is little on dark side and not so bright most of the time). Varieties are there overall similar to other Indian restaurant with a very good location but not achieving the right position due to other cons as mentioned earlier.

The staff was super friendly and welcoming. The food was truly fantastic. I was there today with my colleagues and we immediately said we'd go back. I had number 76 and can only recommend it to anyone who likes shrimp.

Gorgeous ! I scoured Europe looking for the best palak paneer outside of India and I think I found it! The paneer (cottage cheese) is homemade, so it is soft and tasty (unlike industrial paneers, which are a little rubbery). Very good garlic naan too. We also had butter chicken: the meat is I believe first cooked in the tandoor, which gives it a good braised taste before cooking in the sauce.

May 2925 Walked past by chance and stopped in spontaneously. Very interesting menu. I still look a bit helpless because of the eye surgery. The boss welcomed me in a benevolent and friendly manner. How nice! What was a bit strange for me as a “tourist” was that 2 guests entered the restaurant with HD music and so naturally took a seat and ate their dinner with their own entertainment. Thank you, I sat a little different, otherwise I would have had to leave the resto. The owner deserves admiration for her tolerance. The food was excellent. I recommend!!!!

I have been to this restaurant lately and was amazed by the quality of the food: it was so delicious and freshly cooked. We have tried many dishes butter chicken (my favorite), chicken and sea food biryani, chicken masala, kebap and other dishes. The quantity was just the right amount(enough without wastes). Waiters were so nice and friendly. Prices are reasonable. If I ever come back to Düsseldorf, I will come again without any doubt.

This is my third time visiting Mayur, and I can confidently say it just keeps getting better every time. The food is absolutely incredible — rich, flavorful, and beautifully presented. As Indians, we value not just the atmosphere but also the hospitality. The place is not far from the station and the rhine but the service is definitely bad. They were instantly dismissive of even small requests (eg: naan instead of rice, sweet lassi instead of mango lassi in our case). There are sign boards to indicate they do not pack food/ do not let you consume water from outside, which did not affect us but spoils the vibe of the place. Food was 2/5, service was definitely a 1/5, the overall place looked nice 5/5, price was definitely ~10-15% more expensive. I'm surprised this has a 4.8 with over 1k reviews

The tables are very close together, so you will be disturbed from all sides. The food is very tasty, but also very expensive. Simple example - butter chicken costs €20, more sauce and very little meat. You basically pay €20 for around 100 g of chicken. In other Indian restaurants the portions are larger and the prices are lower. Bread - naan or roti, 6€😳 (water and 50g flour) For 3 people we only got 1 portion of rice. I wish the nice owner good luck and hopefully a long existence

The atmosphere was quite nice. But there are certainly better restaurants in Düsseldorf. On There was nothing wrong with the food, but it's not particularly worth mentioning either. Overall it was good, but for the price I don't have to come back again.
