Very friendly and gracious service. The food is very tasty and really good quality. In my opinion, the dishes have Indian spices, but are too adapted to the European palate. So not really authentically Indian. Hence 1 star deduction. Despite these small drawbacks, I would still like to recommend Mayur for its hospitality and very tasty food

Fantastic Indian food and great service! I recently visited this Indian restaurant and absolutely loved it! The atmosphere is cozy, the staff extremely friendly and attentive. The menu offers a wide range of traditional dishes, all freshly prepared and wonderfully seasoned. I can particularly recommend the butter chicken – incredibly tender and perfectly balanced in taste. The naan bread was also fluffy and baked just right. The spiciness of the dishes can be adjusted individually so that everyone can really find something to their taste. The price-performance ratio is great and I will definitely come back. If you love authentic Indian food, you should definitely try this restaurant!

The portions are very small, so we didn't feel full afterwards. Priced quite high for the quantity. Too much sauce and not enough chicken. After eating we both had stomach pains.

Relatively expensive compared to other Indian restaurants, the food was OK, but only OK, especially for the price. We've had better, more authentic and cheaper Indian food, which we do very often, in a wide variety of cities... if we visited Düsseldorf again we would make a different choice.

This is the best experience for Indian food across countries…. And what warmth by the hosts. Do reserve a table before heading here… amazing ambience for corporate gatherings as well… The Dal Makhani is to die for!

When it comes to Indian food, Mayur is my favorite restaurant since childhood, there is no better restaurant than this. The food is fresh, authentic and simply incredibly delicious. The service is also super friendly and competent.

Super delicious food; friendly, competent service; beautiful, cozy interior with beautiful lamps! :) But for environmentally conscious, resource-saving people it is rather difficult, because you get huge amounts of food there (about 3 portions per person) but unfortunately you are not allowed to take home what you can no longer eat, it will - ouch, that hurts! - everything thrown away. We asked why: The first waiter said "because we don't have that much time to pack everything. If everyone wanted to take their leftovers with them, we would have to hire an extra person to pack them.", the other said "for hygiene reasons. Because We don't want to touch the leftover food after the guests have eaten it." The latter makes less sense: you touch the plate anyway to put it in the dishwasher, and you can push the leftover food into the Styrofoam box with a spoon. Wouldn't it be possible to cook smaller portions per person from the start? :) 2. Constructive criticism: the music was too stressful. It was such fast Indian party music that it stressed us out/uncomfortably upset us. We would have felt even more comfortable in the restaurant if there had been such calm Indian yoga music :) Apart from that everything is great and the food is VERY tasty :)

Food tastes good, but unfortunately not authentically Indian. It tastes like it was adapted to German tastes. Prices are on the high level but still OK. The portions could still be a bit larger, especially the biriyani. If you want to eat with Germans or something more extravagant, the restaurant can still be good.

Quick service and nice atmosphere. The food, however, was of mediocre quality at best. The two dishes we had were stuffed with belt pepper which is not typically Indian. There are much more authentic Indian restaurants out there. For the price just fine but definitely not more than that.

Welcome and Food is only Perfect

Please have a little, just a little courtesy if someone is calling for reservations. It’s just plain offense if I call to ask if you have a place for lunch & you rudely say, come at 6pm. Or stay hungry till 6? So you want me to not have lunch? Come on? I won’t return to this place now ever.

Fantastic food, I had never eaten Indian before, but now I am convinced by this phenomenal food to do so more often! We had the butter chicken and the chicken tikimasala and I can recommend them to everyone! Good service and very good price-quality ratio with good portions!

We had a very bad experience at this restaurant. When we entered, a girl asked us why we came here. When we asked to order, they were not interested in taking our order, and they told us that it would take an hour to get our food. They didn't even want to stop there and made us feel like we were being thrown out. Very bad customer service. The biggest problem with this store is probably that woman who is waiting there. She has no interest in making people eat there. She is the biggest problem.

I saw for the ratings in Google and went there for lunch with one more person. Although order was served pretty fast, we were hugely surprised by the meager quantity. We didn’t get our stomach full. On top of that, there were subtle differences between the price indicated in menu card and the bill. Overall, I will never go again and when asked, I won’t recommend others to dine here. It’s very less quantity for the price that is paid. Taste was ok, not bad.

There is a variety of vegetarian and meat-based dishes. The service was quick, attentive and friendly. As soon as we ordered, the food was served without us having to wait long. If you value good food and smooth service, this is the place for you. Absolutely recommended!

I can only speak about the food I ordered. The Mango Chicken is so delicious. This slight sweetness from the mango with the coarser rice, which absorbs the sauce really well, is pure enjoyment. The chicken is so tender and juicy. Service and ambience are also absolutely commendable. Nice relaxing music in the background. I will always come back when I am in Düsseldorf. Thanks Mayur :))

First of all I would like to thank the service. I felt very well looked after. We ordered the menu for 2. As a welcome, all guests receive bread with 3 dips. To start our menu we were given a mixed plate with lamb, tandoori chicken and various baked vegetables. Very very tasty. The main course is always a surprise. We had butter chicken, lamb and some kind of mint sauce, a vegetarian lentil sauce and palak paneer with homemade cottage cheese. The latter was our absolute favorite along with the lenses. There was also rice and naan, and we were able to order more rice. For dessert we were served Gulab Jamun, fried cottage cheese balls with sugar syrup. We had a wonderful evening with charming hosts and incredibly delicious Indian food.

One of the best Indian restaurants we tried. While there are multiple places that offer Indian food, but Mayur was exceptional in taste and service. One of the finest flavours, carefully balanced meals with supreme taste and quality. Loved everything!

Very average food . Highly disappointing mango lassi which was watery at best . Naan was good but the food tastes bland . We ordered palak paneer , paneer tikka masala and dal makhni . All tasted average and not at all authentic . Please justify your ratings by serving authentic Indian food in future . Thanks

As soon as I entered the restaurant, I was greeted by a warm, inviting ambience that perfectly combines typical Indian decorative elements and a cozy atmosphere. The highlight, however, was the food. The menu offers an impressive selection of traditional Indian dishes, all freshly prepared and full of authentic flavors. I tried the butter chicken and a paneer dish and both were absolutely delicious - perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. The side dishes such as naan and rice were also excellent. The service was attentive, friendly and very professional. The staff took the time to recommend dishes and ask about my preferences, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable. Overall, a wonderful visit to a restaurant that impresses with both its quality and its hospitality. I will definitely come back and recommend Mayur to anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Indian cuisine in Düsseldorf.
