First stay at the Traube Tonbach combined with a visit to 1789 in October 2024. A very successful evening. Excellent menu with an Asian touch!!! Appropriate service and a great atmosphere. I'll be back!

It's absolutely crazy what a mix of food and service is offered here. I wished I could eat in a restaurant like this once in my life and my expectations were more than fulfilled. I can only recommend this restaurant to everyone. Absolute top class

Very nice place to take a relaxed walk.

This one is a bit hard to find with current construction on the hotel, but it is open. We had a lovely meal here. The beef tartar was fantastic. They prepare it at the table to your liking. The lobster pasta was pretty inedible, but the fish was fantastic. They brought out chocolate truffles at the end as well which was a great touch.

Wir waren erstaunt über die moderne, gemütliche Einrichtung. Angenehm klein gehalten, ruhig und gediegen. Aufmerksamer Service, ohne viel chichi. Es war ein phantastischer Abend, eine Genussreise, die leider doch irgendwann endete. Man kann die vielen Kleinigkeiten, die diesen Abend ausmachten, nicht umschreiben. So viele kreative Ideen werden hier auf einem Teller drapiert, absolut höchstes Niveau und jeden Stern wert!

We visited the Sein restaurant for the third time yesterday and were so impressed that we made another reservation during the menu. Each course was a small work of art, an explosion of flavors, textures, and emotions. I was incredibly happy! The service team was incredibly friendly and relaxed, not at all stiff, but genuinely approachable and with a lot of charm. Many thanks to the entire team for this wonderful break with you. On days like these, all you want is happiness, contentment, and a wonderful time. I experienced all of this at the Sein restaurant. Everything was just right here. As a guest, you sit at your table all evening and think to yourself: "I'm feeling so good right now." As a guest, you can feel that the entire team lives for what they do. There's a great team spirit here. You feel incredibly comfortable in the restaurant, and the super friendly and incredibly hospitable service staff are also to blame for that. My vegetarian meal was fantastic. It started with cravings and ended with happiness. I left the restaurant feeling completely happy and would like to thank the entire team for the wonderful birthday I spent with you. You are amazing!

A beautiful wellness hotel in the Black Forest! The location is simply stunning – surrounded by nature with a fantastic view. The atmosphere is relaxed, the rooms are stylish and comfortable, and the food is simply outstanding – very fresh, regional, and incredibly delicious. They even cater to dietary requirements. The wellness area leaves nothing to be desired, perfect for switching off and relaxing. The staff is warm and attentive. An all-round successful stay. We'd love to come back!

Wir denken gerne zurück an die vor-vorigen Besitzer der Wolfshöhle und danach an Sascha Weiss. Heute wird das Restaurant von einem Inhaber bewirtschaftet, der seine Meriten andernorts (zu Recht) verdient hat, - aber ist er hier richtig? An einem Samstagmittag kehrten meine Frau und ich spontan ein, um nach längerer Abwesenheit die Küche nochmals zu probieren. Besonders zur Mittagszeit gefällt uns die Einrichtung mit ihrer Stringenz und Schlichtheit gut. Wir wählten das «Lunch-Menü» - 3 Gänge für 63 €/P in der Annahme, dass wir «mal eben» eine zeitlich angemessene und kulinarisch gelungene Mahlzeit haben würden. Weit gefehlt! Drei Gänge, die jeder ambitionierte Privathaushalt leicht vorbereiten und in schlanker Folge hätte servieren können, dauerten geschlagene 2 Stunden. Dass uns die Pastinaken im Hauptgang und die bitteren Quitten im Dessert nicht geschmeckt haben, kam erschwerend hinzu, ist aber klar subjektiv. Der Service wirkt ungelernt und überfordert. Dem Restaurantbetrieb fehlt die Seele. Schade. Vielleicht war der Küchenchef in München besser aufgehoben.

It is an exceptional restaurant in a special location. The chef and his team know how to take familiar ingredients and create something completely new. This is absolute art in the kitchen. What stands out is the staff, who turn an evening into an experience with their charm.

es tut mir sehr leid, aber schlechter geht nicht.service ok, ambiente nicht für jeden ein augenschmaus. aber was mir hier aufgetischt wurde, würde ich selbst in jeder frittenbude bemängeln. reh aus heimischen wäldern...unfassbar. könnte ein bild veröffentlichen, aber es würde keiner glauben doch. hab mich dazu entschlossen. es gab übrigens zwei pappdeckel dieser art in der größe von 8 x 8 cm. achso, das, was vor dem angeschnittenen stück irgendwas liegt war ein angerösteter apfel, der höhepunkt des fürstlichen mahles..zwei stücke paniertes irgendwas, nicht mehr als 120 gramm, durchgebraten, dass es außen wegen dem triefenden fett, gott sei dank nur eine seite, die andere war bleich, wie die späzle, saftiger war als innen. so etwas zum tisch zu bringen war eine frechheit! auch der service sollte augen dafür haben. es ist mir inzwischen müßig, dies zu reklamieren, weil der notwendige anstand wegen einer kritk beim personal nicht mehr gegeben ist. dass dieser laden mit eletärem und wirklich tollem publikum gefüllt war, ist mir ein rätsel. aber das personal war stets bemüht.... hatte aber gegen diese küchenleistung keinerlei chance. unfassbar
