Restaurant Délice in Stuttgart

We visited the Délice restaurant on July 25, 2025. It was immediately impressive with its beautiful cellar vault, creating an incredibly intimate atmosphere. The welcome from the sommelier, Mr. Lutz, was extremely warm and very professional, which made the first impression particularly positive. About the menu: In addition to the five set courses, it also includes specials from the kitchen and side courses, which add a pleasant variety to the experience. The sole chef and head chef, Mr. Hettinger, has composed a very harmonious and extensive menu worthy of a Michelin star. We particularly remember both desserts and the main course, which were outstanding. The non-alcoholic accompaniments, wonderfully selected by the sommelier, perfectly complemented the menu. Finally, we found it very pleasant that both hosts spoke with us personally again to hear our personal opinion and give us tips for the city. We celebrated a very good friend's 30th birthday at the Délice restaurant and absolutely enjoyed the menu. What Mr. Hettinger conjures up here ALL BY HIMSELF is both magnificent and unbelievable. Chapeau!

Five stars, never.The 'gourmet' menu tasted like someone had taken a cooking class on Google and then thrown everything on the plate at the same time. The portions tiny. The service? A mixture of bored arrogance and forced smile. Golden lamps, gray walls, dead plants in designer pots. This is what it looks like when someone spends a lot and still has no eyes. The place looks like someone put together the decorations from a 'how do I make it expensive but tasteless?' catalog. And now the kicker: the price. For what you get here. A hefty bill for what feels like, at best, an overpriced fast food experience. Never again!

A culinary journey that is worth it! A fantastic experience from reception to farewell. Location, atmosphere, food and wine accompaniment were top. The intimate atmosphere combined with an absolutely harmonious menu and the open kitchen are an experience in themselves that doesn't happen often.

We had a great evening at délice. The food was excellent, the service was very attentive and friendly, the wine pairing was perfect and even if you don't eat meat, you'll be happy here.

Absolutely exceptional experience. We've been there before and this time the dinner wasn't just "food", but rather a happening and an explosion for all the senses. Intimate ambience with less than 20 guests, guided tour of wines and juices, a variety of culinary delights over a period of several hours and personal service including a chat with the chef - you have to experience it and, above all, bring one thing with you: time!

Absolute divine experience in regards of the food and service. The food was either extremely good or simply perfect. For example, it was the first time in my life that I loved liver… a food I usually despise. If I go to these very pricey restaurants, I expect something out out of the ordinary. Mission achieved. Thank you to the cook and the staff.

Délice offers an exceptional dining experience, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The intimate atmosphere with just a few tables creates an exclusive ambiance, enhanced by the personalized attention of the small, friendly team. The five-course menu began with a series of amuse-bouches, including salmon and beef tartare bites, a delicate carrot and ginger soup, and local bread and butter from Normandy – a successful start that heightened our anticipation. The first course, yellowtail mackerel with vegetable sushi, mango, and avocado cream, presented a harmonious combination of freshness and exotic flavors. This was followed by monkfish with pearl barley, beluga lentils, and a cauliflower and champagne cream – a dish that impressed with its balanced texture and delicate flavor. The quail breast and leg, served with crispy Jerusalem artichoke chips and a rich foie gras sauce, offered a true taste experience for the third course. The fourth course, a tender beef fillet with spinach cream, wild broccoli, and truffle sauce, was the highlight of the evening and left nothing to be desired. A refreshing tonka bean foam with spiced blueberries served as a pre-dessert, preparing us for the sweet finale. The fifth and final course, a cheesecake with vanilla ice cream, apple compote, and Oreo crumble, perfectly rounded off the meal and left a lasting impression. To finish, we were treated to a selection of mignardises, including passion fruit and cocoa pralines and a moist brownie – a sweet conclusion to an unforgettable evening. The menu was accompanied by a fine wine selection, presented to us with expert advice. The recommendations perfectly complemented the individual courses and enhanced the flavors of the dishes. The open kitchen allowed us to witness the preparation of the dishes up close and feel the chef's passion. His ability to transform excellent ingredients into harmonious dishes with classic Mediterranean and creative influences is impressive. Overall, our visit to Délice was a culinary highlight that we highly recommend to any gourmet. The combination of excellent cuisine, personalized service, and an intimate ambiance makes this restaurant a special place in Stuttgart.

Just one of the best dining experiences you can have. You are coming for an experience more than a meal. Andreas and Andreas are masters at what they do and are a great team. Andreas Lutz, the sommelier, was great to talk to and joke around with. He provided excellent wine pairings for us and customized them to what we were eating as well as what he knew about us. The seating starts at 7pm and there was maybe 14 people in total. They call it a 5 course dinner but it is more like 11 courses if you include everything they give you. In traditional Michelin guidance, we left feeling like we really got a good deal for all the effort that went into providing us with a fantastic experience. We opted for a white truffle addition as well as the full wine pairing and would do this again. It was so nice to sit back and go along for the ride - with no other decisions to be made, just letting the courses come to you. At the end, they provide you with the menu of the food that you ate as well as the wines you drank for future reference which I thought was a great touch. 10 out of 10.

A gustatory journey of discovery of a special kind! You can't really call it "going out to eat" when visiting Delice...it's more, much more. The ambiance invites you to spend an evening together with the sommelier and chef...both present and both masters of their craft. The intensity of flavor left me speechless, and Mr. Hettinger creates combinations that are wonderfully surprising and simply delightful. Mr. Lutz, not to mention the sommelier...great! Hats off to so much creativity and skill!

I think this restaurant is really nice! It looks really nice!! The food is delicious 😋 but some dishes are a bit overpriced, and the taste is simply indescribable!! All the dishes I ordered were delicious and looked really nice! 🥐🍾 The service is very friendly, kind, and polite, always asking if you need anything else. I just think it's great! The restaurant has its own atmosphere, which I like 👍🏻.

It is definitely an experience to let Mr. Hettinger open your palate buds with a menu that is always tailored to the day! We enjoyed it very, very much and it certainly wasn't our last visit there! Decidimos celebrar nuestro aniversario de bodas con nuestra primera comida con estrella Michelin, y no decepcionó. Los platos eran pequeños, pero había tantos (¿creo que contaba 8 o 9 para cuando nos fuimos?) que estaba lleno al final. También hicimos el maridaje de vinos que recomiendo encarecidamente.

Was there as part of a work Christmas party. In contrast to some other "fine" cuisine, the dishes didn't seem super "extravagant", but rather very decent, German-oriented cuisine. You can see the dedication with which the main chef and his assistant (actually only 2 people!) prepare 7 or more courses for around 20 people. The service was accompanied by the then owner, a wine sommelier. He completed the job to the same quality. Bravo, really great cinema. Clear recommendation.

Unsere Reservierung wurde nicht richtig notiert. ich hatte vor mehr als zwei Monaten einen Tisch reserviert und die entsprechende Bestätigung bekommen. Als wir ins Restaurant kamen, gab es allerdings keinen Platz für uns. Unverschämt.

Wonderful courses that always surprise in terms of appearance, taste and texture, congenially accompanied by a sommelier with a sure instinct for suitable, interesting wines. A total work of art, not without its price!

Definitely my favorite restaurant in not only Stuttgart area but also whole Germany. Service, foods and wines are all perfect. I really enjoyed the night here. _____ I visited for my second time here at Delice, and that was again the best dish I ever had. _____ Third visit: The sommelier was changed. His taste was different than the old sommelier, but he also has very good sense and I really liked the wines which he chose. The food was gorgeous as always, I especially liked the two fish menus.

I have pretty high expectations when I visit Michelins restaurants and restaurant Délice didn’t disappoint me. The service was impeccable and the food, ingredients and flavour was paired really well together. Loving all the dishes but want to specially mention on the monkfish, love how the monkfish was done, it was so chewy, flavourful with the milk base and the combination was just unthought of. The final dessert is also worth mentioning with the various textures and the nice passionfruit sorbet. I didn’t regret my choice. And to the team, keep it up!! If I have another chance to visit Stuttgart I’ll definitely be back again.

An extremely charming, small shop in a vaulted cellar with warm service and a unique view of the chef's one-man kitchen. You are right in the middle of the action and in a family atmosphere. Always a personal touch and lots of interesting stories from the host. Also the best venison I've ever eaten. Thank you.

A culinary highlight in Stuttgart. The food impresses with its intense taste and artistic presentation. The wine accompaniment supports the varied courses with a wide range of winemakers, vines and growing regions. The space is limited, the vaulted cellar with the warm interior creates a beautiful ambience. The small, open kitchen is exceptional.

A great little restaurant where you can watch the master at work in the open central kitchen. I found the calm and precision simply admirable and even though I don't normally like fish, I was happy to be surprised because I found every course incredibly tasty and even the scallop and fish were so good that I would order it again straight away. The service was excellent and it was a completely successful evening! I would highly recommend it to anyone and am thoroughly impressed with how they served the entire restaurant with 3 people. I particularly remember the little mushroom soup, it had such a great and intense taste, really great but the perfect fillet was also really great. Unfortunately, I can't eat a Baumkuchen anywhere else anymore, because it couldn't be more perfect!

We went there for dinner and drinks on Friday and it was outstanding. The concept from Mr. Hettinger and Mr. Pattas is great. You feel comfortable as soon as you arrive. The selection of accompanying drinks was excellent and what Mr. Pattas had to say about each of the wines was super interesting. It was also nice that Mr. Hettinger greeted us at the table and was always visible to us. The food was a poem, there is simply nothing more to say about it. Overall, we would like to thank the Délice team for a great evening. We'd love to come back.

Ein winziges Restaurant mit vielleicht zehn Tischen, drei Menschen und zwei Kochplatten: Das reicht aus für perfekten, wenn auch etwas arg langwierigen Eßgenuss (3,5 Stunden). Vier Gänge (zweimal Fisch, zweimal Fleisch), ein Pre-Dessert und ein unglaubliches Dessert gab es, dazu auf den Punkt passende Weine, erläutert und erklärt vom Sommelier, einem Profi auf seinem Gebiet. Die Preise gehoben, aber die Qualität, das Ambiente, die Präsentation passen alles. Gerne mal wieder, gerne auch etwas zügiger das nächste mal.

What a super nice Michelin stared restaurant! It is so nice, so lovely and also the dishes and service are so so super nice! This restaurant is for sure our new number one restaurant in Stuttgart! Whenever you have a chance to go there, check it out and I guarantee you that you will not regret going there. It’s just fantastic! Just everything food, service, interior design and also the pricing is for a Michelin stared restaurant quite reasonable!!!

We recently visited the restaurant for the first time for our wedding anniversary. It was a wonderful experience with great atmosphere, delicious food and delightful wine selection. Until the waiter started to give us a lecturing us on how fast to drink the wine, and most importantly on how angry he is about foreigners - Americans specifically - that don't speak German. The high quality and price of the food are not worth it when you cannot enjoy it properly. Will not be going back.

Ich hatte schon häufig vom Delice und seinem legendären Patron gehört, vor allem für Wein gilt es als besondere Adresse. Auch die Speisen, von einem Koch zubereitet, waren sehr gut. Ein Team von 3 schmeißt den ganzen Laden. Uns gefiel auch Charme und Schmäh von Herrn Pattas, er ist mit viel Herzblut dabei. Es war ein Erlebnis und hoffen, wieder einmal die Gelegenheit zu bekommen.

Ein großartiger Abend im Delice… schon das Amuse bouche war kulinarisch ein Traum und so ging es kulinarisch definitiv auf Sterne-Niveau weiter! Wir sind häufig in Gourmet-Restaurants und das Delice hat uns mit unserem ersten Besuch sehr begeistert. Auch Wein ist für uns ein wichtiges Thema und die Weinkarte im Delice ist eine wahre Freude. Der Inhalt der Weinkarte wird exzellent verkörpert durch den Sommelier, durch und durch ein wunderbarer Gastgeber und Weinkenner. Wir bedanken uns für den tollen Abend und überlegen schon, wann wir wieder kommen!

Sehr kreative Interpretationen, das Signature Dish war eine gelungene Überraschung mit vier perfekt kombinierten Zutaten.

Es wird ein 5 Gänge Menü mit kleinen Zwischengängen angeboten, welches der Koch im Restaurant (schön dekorierter Gewölbekeller) in einer offenen Küche für die Gäste zubereitet. Zu jedem Gang wird ein ausgesuchter Wein kredenzt. Es ist die Aufgabe des Gastes bei Reservierung mitzuteilen, ob er Veganer oder Vegetarier ist und ob Allergien vorliegen. Das Restaurant fragt vorab nicht nach. Das wurde uns am Tisch sehr deutlich mitgeteilt."Es entspricht nicht unseren Ansprüchen..." wow okay.! Mir persönlich war zuviel Fett im Essen, so dass ich hinterher Sodbrennen hatte. Einer der angebotenen Weissweine war m. E. zu stark oxidiert. Der Somelier hat ihn aber in den höchste Tönen gelobt. Auf der Rechung standen dann für zwei Personen 365,00€.

Wir gehen (sehr) regelmäßig in unser Lieblingsrestaurant in Stuttgart. Obwohl wir mittlerweile schon einige Male im Délice zu Gast waren, wurden wir noch nie enttäuscht. Die Qualität ist gleichbleibend hervorragend. Wir freuen uns schon auf unseren baldigen nächsten Besuch.

Endlich konnten wir nach vielen Monaten wieder ins Délice - um es gleich zusammenzufassen: Es war wieder mal ein überragendes Erlebnis. Hr. Pattas verwöhnt seine Gäste mit seiner Fachkompetenz und seiner einmaligen erfrischenden Art. Das Überraschungsmenü startete mit zwei schönen Grüßen aus der Küche, dann ging es los mit Thunfischtatar und Jakobsmuscheln. Nach einem zarten Flanksteak kam mit dem Rehrücken begleitet von Brioche-Knödeln und Pfifferlingen mein kulinarisches Highlight des Abends. Das Dessert war ein Potpourri an Köstlichkeiten, was insbesondere durch seine Frische überzeugte. Vergessen möchte ich nicht das leckere Lorbeer-Espuma als Pre-Dessert und die selbstgemachten Pralinés zum Abschluss. Vielen herzlichen Dank, lieber Hr. Hettinger, für dieses wunderbare kulinarische Erlebnis. Nicht versäumen darf man im Délice selbstverständlich die Weinbegleitung - es macht einfach nur Spaß, wie gekonnt und kundig Hr. Pattas die passenden Weine zu den einzelnen Gängen serviert. Wir freuen uns bereits jetzt auf den nächsten Besuch - das Délice ist einfach ein Gesamterlebnis. Besser geht es nicht.

Wir gehen seit vielen Jahren immer wieder ins Delice, hatten daher keine Bewertung mehr geschrieben. Aber das Essen ist einfach gigantisch, der Service tadellos, die Weinbegleitung perfekt passend!

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Abend im Délice. Das 5-Gänge Menü inkl. Weinbegleitung war bisher das leckerste was ich bisher in Stuttgart zu essen bekommen habe. Die Gerichte sind einfallsreich kombiniert, geschmacklich hervorragend und optisch wunderschön angerichtet - und Weinbegleitung kann ich nur empfehlen. Wir haben uns den ganzen Abend sehr wohl gefühlt und durch die Erklärungen der beiden Gastgebern auch einiges über Weine und Gerichte erfahren. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Kleines, aber feines Restaurant mit französischer Küche. Tolles Ambiente und sehr guter Service. Auch die weinbegleitung war toll.

Zum ersten Mal im Delice. Nie gab es einen Platz, auch nicht Wochen im Voraus. Selbst Corona ist für was gut. Wir ließen es uns prächtig munden. Alle Weine vom Feinsten, Riesling Spätlese (Bernkastell) von 2001! Phantastisch! Champagner, Chardonnay aus dem Markgräfler Land, Rotwein aus Nemea (stimmig, rund mit einem Anflug von Eisen)... Wow! Und dazu nur das Beste aus der Küche: Pilzsuppe mit Spargelfond, Spaghetti mit Kaviar, Seehecht, Wachteln und Maibock, alles vorzüglich gekocht, fein und lecker! Das Delice wird seinem Ruf gerecht, eines der besten Restaurants der Stadt zu sein.

Wir kommen regelmäßig ins Delice und sind jedes mal begeistert vom Niveau der Speisen und der begleitenden Weine. So auch heute. 5 Gänge, grandios zubereitet und ohne dass die Fleischgänge gegenüber den Fischgängen abfallen. Das ist hervorragend und absolut internationales Niveau! Weiter so - dann bleibt das Restaurant ein Highlight von Stuttgart! Unbedingt hingehen!!!
