We had an exceptionally wonderful evening at the 5 Gourmet Restaurant. The food was delicious and always on point, especially in terms of flavor. The wine pairing is second to none. Mature wines from magnum bottles. Where else can you find that? We had wonderful conversations with the owner in a very personal atmosphere. We're looking forward to the 5's continued success and are keeping our fingers crossed, because we definitely want to come back. Highly recommended!

Simply top-notch, that's what Michelin-starred cuisine should be, that's what makes Michelin-starred cuisine fun! We ate four courses this evening and can absolutely recommend it! Keep it up!

It was truly fantastic, but also correspondingly expensive. The individual courses were excellent and very varied. The wine tour included some excellent wines to complement them.

Yesterday, my partner and I went to 5 for the first time – and it was a truly wonderful evening 🥰 The ambiance was very pleasant: Although the room is rather small, we had peace and quiet and were able to enjoy the evening in a relaxed manner. The menu was excellent. Even if not every dish was entirely to our personal taste, that was entirely due to our individual preferences. It was particularly exciting that my partner, who doesn't normally like salmon and never eats it, tried it on the menu – and he actually really enjoyed it. That was a real first for him 😄 The service was attentive, courteous, and always helpful. Even when we gave constructive feedback, it was gratefully received, and it gave the impression that it was reflected upon honestly – we found that very positive. All in all, we had an outstanding evening with delicious food and an excellent wine selection ☺️

My wife and I have never eaten better in our lives. And right after that comes the extraordinarily gracious service, which leaves nothing to be desired. We'd love to come back!

A very nice experience with excellent food

As always, there's been nothing to complain about here for a long time. High standards have been set here since the beginning – and maintained. The relaxed, stylish, and well-groomed atmosphere is also a plus. In other words: If the GF is right, then everything else will be right too!

We were at Restaurant 5 around Pentecost. The service was excellent and the food was creatively presented. The dishes were a bit too acidic for my taste, but that's a matter of taste. Con: The website stated that there were 4- and 5-course menus, but on site, they were 5 and 6. For a Michelin-starred restaurant, that's what you'd expect. Otherwise, a lovely evening.

Was there for the first time today. But not the last time

I stumbled into 5 today quite by chance and was thoroughly impressed. Here, in the heart of Stuttgart, you'll find top-class cuisine in a unique setting. The menu is accordingly small, but offers something for every taste. And what you're served is truly a dream. Everything fits perfectly here: quality, taste, and appearance, all at fair prices. Highly recommended!

I finally made it back to Stuttgart's 5 and was able to enjoy Alexander Dinter's new menu. And WOW! What a menu! The kitchen team served one flavor bomb after another. The wines paired perfectly with the wonderful service, making this culinary evening a complete success. Many thanks to the entire team!

We celebrated our wedding anniversary at the 5 and were once again completely thrilled. The service was warm, unobtrusive, and helpful, and we have nothing but praise for the very young team. The menu was once again excellent, both in terms of the quality of the ingredients used (I would like to highlight the fish courses here), the presentation, and the taste experience. We are certainly connoisseurs in the gourmet world and have already visited several restaurants in all 3-star categories. In our opinion, the 5, or rather Alexander Dinter, cooks at a 2-star level. The courses are varied, unusual, and surprising, as well as offering a profound taste experience. The wine recommendations from host Michael Zeyer are extremely suitable, deliver on their promises, and are still fairly priced. If you want to treat yourself to something special, you're in good hands here and won't be disappointed. We will definitely be back.

Food ok but price questionable!!! Poor service, wine for one person at the table of 6 was forgotten and was not noticed even after 2 courses, a waitress who doesn't understand German well doesn't bill correctly, serving mat for getting in the mood is flimsy, plates are no longer in good shape (already have small cracks and signs of wear), they don't really respond to the customer, bread couldn't be refilled, the GF leaves earlier than everyone, toilet is also no longer in good condition, processing too fast, overall poor quality and star service!

Everything is just excellent! Great service, pleasant ambience, great music and a menu that can really be described as “made by a master”. This was the best 5 course meal we have ever had the pleasure of eating. Absolute recommendation.

You get the first star for the food. Absolutely right and the food was also outstanding. Well thought out and balanced, a lot of work, sweat and thought has certainly gone into this. Real five points, the service and the ambience somewhere between 4.5 and 5. All in all, 5 points.

Had dinner at 5 in Stuttgart in the evening and overall it was a really successful visit. The dishes were beautifully presented and tasted really great, especially the main course was great. The atmosphere is modern but still pleasant, you can sit back and relax. The service was nice, but at times it could have been a little more structured, hence a small deduction. The prices are rather high, but okay for the level. All in all a good experience, we will definitely stop by again.

From the reception to the service, the ambience in the building of the very old Stuttgart train station, to the service of the young team, which was courteous but never intrusive, to the brilliant menu by Alexanter Dinter and the wonderful host Michael Zeyer, everything was very successful. We were upstairs in the menu restaurant and with high expectations. Overall I found it just okay unfortunately. I thought the dim sum, probably the signature dish, was very good, but the other courses, especially the dessert, were noticeably inferior. The thick intestine in the prawns, which had not been removed, was also not very appealing. I would expect it differently. The wine pairing was interesting in itself, but in parts it contrasted too much with the food. EDIT: we have pointed out the prawns, as well as the other points. These were acknowledged with: “It will definitely be better the next time.” Too bad.

We ordered 6 courses from the menu. The starters were incredible. The initial welcome and the explanations when the food arrived were incredible. Thank you to everyone working in the service 💛 As for the negative aspects, the ambiance is incredibly boring. Why do you use so little lighting?! Finally, we had to cancel the last course of the 6-course menu because there was so much salt in the food (except for the starter and scallops)that I can't describe. For this reason, instead of drinking wine as an accompaniment, we had to drink water to taste the other dishes. And yes, I admit that no one called us, I didn't want to taste the dessert and cheese plate because I was disappointed with the food.

Great restaurant with great food in a casual atmosphere. A suggestion for improvement: the origin of some ingredients is named very precisely. That pleases me. Unfortunately, this is not the case with water or mineral water. How about Vichy Catalan on offer? I would have really liked that and it would be a fitting addition.

Have been to the 5 gourmet restaurant several times now, eating normally or for breakfast on Sundays. We always enjoyed staying there and always gave it 5 stars. Our taste for food ("gourmet restaurant") has significantly deteriorated, especially in comparison to other gourmet restaurants in Stuttgart and the surrounding area. Wine accompaniment no longer convinced me either. Service was differentiated, but many little things no longer fit. Just an example, when all the tables around get their amuse-bouche in the same glasses and our table is served a loose mix of shapes and containers. Unfortunately, it is always quite full and therefore very loud and conversation is difficult, especially if you have a central table. Have been to the gourmet restaurant for almost a year now but won't be coming back... Too bad

Reception and menu discussion on the ground floor: seating area under the open stairs, windows dirty, interior furnishings seem thrown together and sometimes cheap. You just sit there and wait, a little unsure when things will continue. Food on the upper floor: The food was very tasty and, with the exception of the fish course (fish was cold), solid. The service was uncoordinated, unprofessional (fingernails with chipped red nail polish, gluten free served to the wrong person on the last course, wines were not served with the meal). The ambience is a no-go for a gourmet restaurant: cutlery is loudly polished and sorted behind the guest, the pass is in the middle of the dining room, where dishes are not only served but also washed. The restaurant is very dark and oppressively decorated with heavy, deep black beams. Toilets: rusty sink, faucet spills clothes. It was very cool in the restaurant with a constant draft from below. Price performance is absolutely inappropriate, not to mention Michelin.

We went to Five for a private dinner - for the first time. It was a completely successful evening, great attentive service and top-class cuisine…. There were two or three little things - but that's complaining at the highest level! We'll be back - many thanks to the Five Team for the lovely evening.

After waiting for half an hour, we were finally served. Unfortunately, the gin and aperitif snacks we wanted were not in stock, even though they were on the menu. Luckily the drinks were very nice. Our impression: More for the higher society.

Food was delicious, the wines were very well matched. It is flavored a lot with citrus. Service was very nice. Be careful with truffles and caviar. An additional €35 or €30 per person will be charged on top for the set without any announcement. This is of course harsh when a set makes up almost 50% of the price of the entire 4-course menu and without notice. We felt a bit ripped off... Transparency with such horrendous surcharges would be desirable.

Food: awesome! Mega! One course better than the other! Both in terms of taste and presentation. Particularly worthy of mention is the pure passion of the employee who prepared the desserts! Simply a pleasure experience. Service: There is still a lot of room for improvement. Unfortunately, that doesn't suit such a high-priced restaurant. Except for the one female waitress. The rest should be trained urgently. No Go: white Alba or caviar are offered as an upgrade to 2 courses directly at the table. Prices are nowhere and are therefore much too high. In our opinion, such a “scam” is inappropriate and wrong in a restaurant like this in place.

Unfortunately you can't give 0 stars. We reserved the restaurant online on October 11th, including the note that we were allergic to milk protein. Three days before the reservation date on November 10th. We received a call on Sunday asking about the allergy. We were then told that unfortunately they couldn't serve us in this case because the star restaurant was unable to cook without dairy products. Since we are regular guests at starred restaurants, this is very disappointing. So far, every restaurant internationally has been able to serve us. Not only the fact itself, but also the way it is handled is not worthy of a star restaurant in this day and age.

The food and service were perfect! It couldn't be better! A “foodie” friend from NYC was visiting and together with my daughter we ordered the large menu. My girlfriend has eaten in many Michelin restaurants around the world. She said 5 was one of the best! Everything was explained perfectly in two languages, the accompanying wines were excellent, and the timing was also very good so that you had enough time to digest the courses. I was the only one who couldn't take another bite and canceled the last course, which looked excellent and probably tasted excellent. The restaurant even deducted this from the bill, which I found to be more than fair since we had ordered a full menu. If you want to experience a special and unforgettable evening, with excellent food and great service, 5 is the best address for it! Many thanks to the team for this wonderful and first-class evening.

Super delicious, very upscale cuisine. You will be called the day before about any intolerances so that we can address them. At the reception you first chill downstairs for an aperitif. Then you are led upstairs to the square. And here it starts right away. Incredibly delicious. Everything. Even things that I don't normally like. The only deduction for 1 star was the ambience, as I didn't like the fact that plates were washed in the guest area (small sinks behind the counter). Do that in the kitchen in the future and it will be perfect. LG and keep it up.

A great restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere and excellent food. Our event here was especially unforgettable, thanks to the help of the owner and his wife. We were there again after the event and will definitely be back soon.

I think I'm done with the Michelin star restaurants. It's usually the same story, the service is amazing, but the food is somewhat lacking and not worth the price. Here it was the exact same story. From the moment you walk in the staff is incredibly professional and courteous. You can't ask for a better front of house staff than what is at this restaurant, but once again, for a 350 euro dinner (PER PERSON), the food and experience just isn't worth it. The beet salad, cod, and pork courses were excellent , really wonderful, good wine pairings too, but the other courses just didn't have the "wow" factor. The sweetbreads were fine, just a bit bland. The shrimp course was awful and incredibly fishy, definitely the worst course by far. The dessert was really bad too, strange texture and just not a traditional dessert. I'm sorry to say, I won't be back, because I can't justify paying these prices for food that is totally hit or miss. If the food could match the front of the house staff and their customer service, this would be one of the best restaurants in Germany.

If you are coming to Stuttgart, you MUST come to this restaurant!!! We had the best food and service! The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and take very good care of you. The food is phenomenal and they do an excellent job with wine pairings. If you are lucky to get the risotto on the tasting menu, it will be the best risotto you will ever have! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this restaurant! We will definitely come back!

I was there twice for lunch. Positive: Every course is really excellent to sensational. I haven't eaten so well in a long time! Service perfect, friendly and accommodating, that's what you want. Negative: Warning about wine accompaniment: For the 2-course menu, this includes exactly 2 glasses of 0.1l of an excellent, suitable wine from the open bottle (roughly estimated this is 10-20 euros/0.75l bottle); one for dinner, the second for dessert. If you add 0.1l while eating, the wine accompaniment for the 3-course menu will be charged (+16 euros). I know very well that top gastronomy is not a gold mine, but such "small-mindedness" spoils the experience in the end. Therefore only 4 stars.

We went to 5 for the first time last night and were totally thrilled. The menu was a taste work of art that we have never experienced before. We've been to 1-star restaurants a few times, but the 5 puts a crown on all previous restaurants. Visual and tasteful works of art that were so good that we are already looking forward to the next time. :-) The team is young and super friendly. The sommelier made us a wine pairing that was fantastic. For me as a driver, there was also an alcohol-free accompaniment to go with the menu, which I have never experienced in the catering industry before. Incredibly great juices and, to quote the sommelier, not just “7x Geiger” :-). This great break yesterday almost felt like a short vacation in the middle of downtown Stuttgart. We can recommend the 5 without reservation.

Great taste, but service with a lot of room for improvement: On the occasion of a milestone birthday, we reserved a table for two people at 5 on the day of the birthday because of the great reviews. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed overall, as we know much better at this price level. From the Tuesday menu we chose 3 of 4 courses, 1x with wine accompaniment, 1x wine separately. All courses tasted very good, as did the presentation. But the portions were extremely small (not enough for a normal appetite, and the 4th course = dessert, which we partially saw on the neighboring tables) wouldn't have changed anything. What we also really noticed was that the wine accompaniment we ordered for the first course only came when there was a clear demand (when the warm course had already been 50% consumed). Despite stating my birthday when booking, the service (or boss?) was very surprised when my partner briefly mentioned his birthday again. We won't go to the 5 anymore.

The three of us had dinner. We sat right next to the entrance to the kitchen, loud and restless. In the kitchen they said that they should hire 5 more people in order to be able to properly serve 35 guests. It's not possible that you have to listen to it. We know establishments where the chef comes to each table briefly in the evening and find this very pleasant. Unfortunately not a perfect evening. There are better star restaurants with a much quieter atmosphere and better service.

We started eating out in star restaurants quite some time ago...Our first "attempt" was in the 5th. So far no other restaurant has managed to surpass the quality and sophistication as well as the excellent service!!! Were here a second time and our expectations were exceeded. It won't be our last visit, even if the journey takes longer...

I left my wallet in the 5th. When I came back the waitress told me that my colleague had found it. However, the 200 euros that were in the wallet were no longer there. The boss of 5 refused to ask his employees and follow up. Since then I have never been back to 5 and will not be there again!!!

Today we stood in the completely empty store for five minutes and waited for reception. After no one showed up, we left. I also found the clothes rails with the clothes in the corner strange. Once a cool place with fancy dishes and cocktails, it's just embarrassing now.

The Restaurant 5 “Businesslunch” from the star kitchen exceeded our culinary expectations and took us on a great taste journey. Modern, creative courses were served, which created an indescribable taste experience with a fascinating combination of different components. The elaborately prepared courses were served at the pace specified by the guest, so that this highlight is equally suitable for a working lunch as well as a special lunch break, although the menu is undisputedly in the culinary league. In summary, the business lunch offers a fantastic opportunity to escape from everyday life and enjoy an outstanding star menu at a very attractive price.

We became aware of the 5 during fine dine. We reserved a table quite spontaneously. The day before our visit we were called to discuss any allergies and intolerances, which we thought was great as they actually existed. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed and were allowed to wait briefly in the lower area until we were escorted to our table on the first floor. Wow, what an atmosphere! Wonderful with very comfortable chairs! The menu was discussed with us in detail in advance. And that was an absolute dream! Every course is a sensation! The entire service team is so attentive and friendly! We had a great evening with fantastic food and great care! At the end I said: "It's a bit like a play!" The whole thing was worth every cent! Thank you all!

We both had an onion roast with spaetzle and it was very good. The meat is tender and the onions are nice and crispy. Add a naturally cloudy drink and the evening was perfect. The service was there quickly, but it could have been a little friendlier. We can therefore recommend a visit.

We had a wonderful evening with Alexander Dinter's team. Very relaxed atmosphere with a good mix of service background, music and conversation. Throughout, the presentation of the food was really excellent and very appealing. The first two courses were very good and perfectly balanced, also thanks to the amuse bouche and the sommelier's excellent wine selection. With the third course of five came (as expected) a slightly more neutral composition. The actual main course of the Waygus was very good, but in our opinion it didn't offer any improvement in the chronology even with the accompanying drinks. In our opinion, the dessert was too savory due to the relatively fresh and smoky note of the cream cheese sorbet and not a perfect end to a star menu. But that's a slim matter. What was a bit disappointing towards the end was that after the initially perfect choreography of the service, we were simply forgotten for almost 30 minutes. Neither the final course nor the request for a hot drink or schnapps were actively offered to us. The sommelier tried to end the evening well, but for the price (over €200 per person) we would have liked a consistently high level of service until the end. So unfortunately we went home a bit disappointed.
