My wife and I have never eaten better in our lives. And right after that comes the extraordinarily gracious service, which leaves nothing to be desired. We would love to come back!

As always, there's been nothing to complain about here for a long time. High standards have been set here since the beginning – and maintained. The relaxed, stylish, and well-groomed atmosphere is also a plus. In other words: If the GF is right, then everything else will be right too!

We were at Restaurant 5 around Pentecost. The service was excellent and the food was creatively presented. The dishes were a bit too acidic for my taste, but that's a matter of taste. Con: The website stated that there were 4- and 5-course menus, but on site, they were 5 and 6. For a Michelin-starred restaurant, that's what you'd expect. Otherwise, a lovely evening.

I stumbled into 5 today quite by chance and was thoroughly impressed. Here, in the heart of Stuttgart, you'll find top-class cuisine in a unique setting. The menu is accordingly small, but offers something for every taste. And what you're served is truly a dream. Everything fits perfectly here: quality, taste, and appearance, all at fair prices. I finally made it back to Stuttgart's 5 and was able to enjoy Alexander Dinter's new menu. And WOW! What a menu! The kitchen team served one flavor bomb after another. The wines paired perfectly with the wonderful service, making this culinary evening a complete success. Many thanks to the entire team!

The menu was once again excellent, both in terms of the quality of the ingredients used (I would like to highlight the fish courses here), the presentation, and the taste experience. We are certainly connoisseurs in the gourmet world and have already visited several restaurants in all 3-star categories. In our opinion, the 5, or rather Alexander Dinter, cooks at a 2-star level. The courses are varied, unusual, and surprising, as well as offering a profound taste experience. The wine recommendations from host Michael Zeyer are extremely suitable, deliver on their promises, and are still fairly priced. If you want to treat yourself to something special, you're in good hands here and won't be disappointed. We will definitely be back.

Ich habe sehr spontan im Lokal 5 vorbeigeschaut und ahnte einen baldigen Regenschauer. Ich habe sehr glücklich einen Mittagstisch im Erdgeschoss ausgesucht und saß gemütlich in einer Kissenecke... der nichtalkoholische Aperitif war sehr zu empfehlen und die Küche hat mich nicht enttäuscht. Geröstete Mandeln haben den gebeizten Lachs auf einem Chassis Coulis abgerundet. Der Hauptgang war Rinderfilet mit einer Acaí Hollandaise, die ich noch länger in Erinnerung behalten werde. Das Dessert ist immer mein liebster Gang und auch hier wusste das Cheesecake Creme zu überzeugen gepaart mit Passionsfruchtgelee. Das beste atmosphärische Moment war dieses Essen während eines ergiebigen Gewitters zu genießen. Einen größeren Kontrast hätte ich nicht planen können. Innen kuschelig in einer Kissenecke edel zu Mittag essen während es draußen tobt und donnert... Gewiss, das Wetter liegt außerhalb des Wirkungsbereichs des Lokals, trotzdem hat es die exzellente Küche vielleicht noch ein wenig mehr hervorgehoben und zum Verweilen eingeladen. Ich komme gerne wieder und probiere dann abends die große Karte. 5 Gänge im Lokal "5" klingt verlockend!

Im Rahmen der Gutscheinaktion „Fine Dine“ haben wir, 4 geübte und verwöhnte schwäbische Feinschmecker, den Weg in das „5“ gefunden und einen wunderbaren Abend verlebt. Die Speisen waren erstklassig, der Wareneinsatz hochpreisig, der Service freundlich und zugewandt, aufgeschlossen und sehr engagiert - keine lange Wartezeiten. Jeder der Gänge war eine Augenweide, kunstvoll, vielfältig im Geschmack, einfallsreich und es war und ist klar, es steckt eine Menge Arbeit und Kreativität dahinter!!! Resümee: das Lokal ist auf dem Weg zum zweiten Stern!

Food ok but price questionable!!! Poor service, wine for one person at the table of 6 was forgotten and was not noticed even after 2 courses, a waitress who doesn't understand German well doesn't bill correctly, serving mat for getting in the mood is flimsy, plates are no longer in good shape (already have small cracks and signs of wear), they don't really respond to the customer, bread couldn't be refilled, the GF leaves earlier than everyone, toilet is also no longer in good condition, processing too fast, overall poor quality and star service!

Everything is just excellent! Great service, pleasant ambience, great music and a menu that can really be described as “made by a master”. This was the best 5 course meal we have ever had the pleasure of eating. Absolute recommendation.

Had dinner at 5 in Stuttgart in the evening and overall it was a really successful visit. The dishes were beautifully presented and tasted really great, especially the main course was great. The atmosphere is modern but still pleasant, you can sit back and relax. The service was nice, but at times it could have been a little more structured, hence a small deduction. The prices are rather high, but okay for the level. All in all a good experience, we will definitely stop by again.

Neben den wunderbaren Gängen hat uns die lockere Atmosphäre in stielvollem Ambiente und die Weinbegleitung überzeugt. Das hat natürlich seinen Preis, aber es lohnt sich.

We were upstairs in the menu restaurant and with high expectations. Overall I found it just okay unfortunately. I thought the dim sum, probably the signature dish, was very good, but the other courses, especially the dessert, were noticeably inferior. The thick intestine in the prawns, which had not been removed, was also not very appealing. I would expect it differently. The wine pairing was interesting in itself, but in parts it contrasted too much with the food. EDIT: we have pointed out the prawns, as well as the other points. These were acknowledged with: “It will definitely be better the next time.” Too bad.

Seit unserem letzten Besuch hat sich etwas getan. Schon die Einstimmung Büsumer Krabben und Black Cod als Küchlein, ein Genuss ohne Reue. Die Essenz aus Kalb, Aal und "gebrannten" Mandeln hat Hunger auf mehr gemacht. Brotauswahl wieder sehr interessant und abwechslungsreich. der Loup de Mer herzhaft angebraten auf Bete, Lauch und etwas Chorizo. Man könnte drin baden, wäre aber schade darum. Beim Genießen hat man mehr davon! Fast hätte ich die Fregola Sarda vergessen. Onsen-Ei auf höchstem Niveau. Es macht wieder richtig Spaß im 5 zu genießen. Service top . Die Mannschaft hat sich gefunden und passt. Hand in Hand!

We ordered 6 courses from the menu. The starters were incredible. The initial welcome and the explanations when the food arrived were incredible. Thank you to everyone working in the service 💛 As for the negative aspects, the ambiance is incredibly boring. Why do you use so little lighting?! Finally, we had to cancel the last course of the 6-course menu because there was so much salt in the food (except for the starter and scallops)that I can't describe. For this reason, instead of drinking wine as an accompaniment, we had to drink water to taste the other dishes. And yes, I admit that no one called us, I didn't want to taste the dessert and cheese plate because I was disappointed with the food.

Avevo qualche ora di sosta tra la stazione e la fabbrica e ho cercato un buon ristorante Michelin sul treno, preferibilmente con una prenotazione online! Il primo ristorante stellato a circa 10 minuti dalla stazione è stato il Fünf! (Cinque)! Il ristorante si trova in una posizione molto atipica, con un bar chicque al piano inferiore e una sala da pranzo accogliente con arredi di alta qualità e una cucina semi-aperta! A pranzo viene servito un menu da due a cinque portate e una scelta di altri due piatti principali. Può anche scegliere un abbinamento di vini a prezzi ragionevoli per ogni portata! Ho scelto tre portate che consistevano in un antipasto di pesce, un risotto e un'anatra come piatto principale! Accompagnato da vino e da uno spumante Riesling locale come aperitivo. Il tutto è stato preceduto da un amuse artigianale che, con 5 ingredienti e a base di fregola sarda, dava già un'idea della grande arte culinaria che vi è coinvolta! Le tre portate erano un apice dell'arte culinaria, si poteva percepire la freschezza dei prodotti e la loro alta qualità! L'anatra con una leggera crosta aveva una salsa che si sarebbe potuta bere, così perfettamente ridotta e dal sapore assolutamente casalingo in lunghe ore! Anche i dettagli, come il pane di patate con burro e una crema dal sapore orientale, erano una poesia! Il caffè e un delizioso macaron in uno scrigno sono stati il fiore all'occhiello! Anche i vini meritano un'attenzione particolare! Qui, il proprietario o il sommelier è lieto di offrire tutti i vini per l'abbinamento o il servizio al bicchiere da doppie magnum, che conferiscono ai vini bianchi tedeschi in particolare una nota ancora più nobile! Le bottiglie erano tutte di vini pregiati delle regioni vinicole tedesche, comprese le migliori (Pfalz, Mosella) e quelle vicine, cioè il Medio Reno e il Württemberg! È stato sorprendente come questi si abbinassero bene ai piatti decisamente mediterranei! Il servizio è volutamente rilassato e un po' alla moda, ma ottimamente preparato e molto cordiale una volta rotto il ghiaccio! Posso raccomandare vivamente Cinque per la sua eccellente cucina e spero che presto due stelle brillino sopra questo bellissimo ristorante!

Have been to the 5 gourmet restaurant several times now, eating normally or for breakfast on Sundays. We always enjoyed staying there and always gave it 5 stars. Our taste for food ("gourmet restaurant") has significantly deteriorated, especially in comparison to other gourmet restaurants in Stuttgart and the surrounding area. Wine accompaniment no longer convinced me either. Service was differentiated, but many little things no longer fit. Just an example, when all the tables around get their amuse-bouche in the same glasses and our table is served a loose mix of shapes and containers. Unfortunately, it is always quite full and therefore very loud and conversation is difficult, especially if you have a central table. Have been to the gourmet restaurant for almost a year now but won't be coming back... Too bad

Ein sehr leckeres Drei-Gang Menü hatten wir dort. Es hat sehr gut geschmeckt und hatte manche überraschende Geschmackskomposition. Auch die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Reception and menu discussion on the ground floor: seating area under the open stairs, windows dirty, interior furnishings seem thrown together and sometimes cheap. You just sit there and wait, a little unsure when things will continue. Food on the upper floor: The food was very tasty and, with the exception of the fish course (fish was cold), solid. The service was uncoordinated, unprofessional (fingernails with chipped red nail polish, gluten free served to the wrong person on the last course, wines were not served with the meal). The ambience is a no-go for a gourmet restaurant: cutlery is loudly polished and sorted behind the guest, the pass is in the middle of the dining room, where dishes are not only served but also washed. The restaurant is very dark and oppressively decorated with heavy, deep black beams. Toilets: rusty sink, faucet spills clothes. It was very cool in the restaurant with a constant draft from below. Price performance is absolutely inappropriate, not to mention Michelin.

Food was delicious, the wines were very well matched. It is flavored a lot with citrus. Service was very nice. Be careful with truffles and caviar. An additional €35 or €30 per person will be charged on top for the set without any announcement. This is of course harsh when a set makes up almost 50% of the price of the entire 4-course menu and without notice. We felt a bit ripped off... Transparency with such horrendous surcharges would be desirable.

Unfortunately you can't give 0 stars. We reserved the restaurant online on October 11th, including the note that we were allergic to milk protein. Three days before the reservation date on November 10th. We received a call on Sunday asking about the allergy. We were then told that unfortunately they couldn't serve us in this case because the star restaurant was unable to cook without dairy products. Since we are regular guests at starred restaurants, this is very disappointing. So far, every restaurant internationally has been able to serve us. Not only the fact itself, but also the way it is handled is not worthy of a star restaurant in this day and age.

The food and service were perfect! It couldn't be better! A “foodie” friend from NYC was visiting and together with my daughter we ordered the large menu. My girlfriend has eaten in many Michelin restaurants around the world. She said 5 was one of the best! Everything was explained perfectly in two languages, the accompanying wines were excellent, and the timing was also very good so that you had enough time to digest the courses. I was the only one who couldn't take another bite and canceled the last course, which looked excellent and probably tasted excellent. The restaurant even deducted this from the bill, which I found to be more than fair since we had ordered a full menu. If you want to experience a special and unforgettable evening, with excellent food and great service, 5 is the best address for it! Das Essen und der Service waren perfekt! Besser geht's nicht! Eine "Foodie" Freundin aus NYC war zu Besuch und zusammen mit meiner Tochter haben wir das große Menü bestellt. Meine Freundin hat schon in vielen Michelin Restaurants weltweit gegessen. Sie meinte 5 wäre eines der Besten! Alles wurde zweisprachig perfekt erklärt, die begleitende Weine waren ausgezeichnet, Auch zeitlich war die Planung sehr gut, das man genügend Zeit hatte die Gänge zu verdauen. Ich als Einzige, konnte kein Bissen mehr zu mir nehmen und habe den letzten Gang, der vorzüglich aussah und wohl hervorragend schmeckte, gecancelt. Das Restaurant hat dies sogar von der Rechnung abgezogen, was ich als mehr als Fair empfunden habe, da wir ein Gesamtmenü bestellt hatten. Wenn man ein besonderen und unvergesslichen Abend erleben möchte, mit vorzügliches Essen und spitzen Service, ist 5 die beste Adresse dafür! Ganz herzlichen Dank an das Team für diesen wunderschönen und erstklassigen Abend.

Jeder Gang des Menüs war eine Überraschung, sowohl kulinarisch als auch fürs Auge. Man sieht den Kreationen bereits an, mit welcher Sorgfalt und welchem Feingespür für die Details diese zubereitet werden. Super delicious, very upscale cuisine. You will be called the day before about any intolerances so that we can address them. At the reception you first chill downstairs for an aperitif. Then you are led upstairs to the square. And here it starts right away. Incredibly delicious. Everything. Even things that I don't normally like. The only deduction for 1 star was the ambience, as I didn't like the fact that plates were washed in the guest area (small sinks behind the counter). Do that in the kitchen in the future and it will be perfect. LG and keep it up.

Schönes Ambiente (WC allerdings verbesserungsbedürftig!), guter Service und insgesamt sehr gutes Essen. Für einen Stern und über 500 € für 2 Personen (5-Gänge-Menü ohne Weinbegleitung sowie ein, 7-Gang-Menü mit Weinbegleitung) gut, aber nicht überragend.

I think I'm done with the Michelin star restaurants. It's usually the same story, the service is amazing, but the food is somewhat lacking and not worth the price. Here it was the exact same story. From the moment you walk in the staff is incredibly professional and courteous. You can't ask for a better front of house staff than what is at this restaurant, but once again, for a 350 euro dinner (PER PERSON), the food and experience just isn't worth it. The beet salad, cod, and pork courses were excellent , really wonderful, good wine pairings too, but the other courses just didn't have the "wow" factor. The sweetbreads were fine, just a bit bland. The shrimp course was awful and incredibly fishy, definitely the worst course by far. The dessert was really bad too, strange texture and just not a traditional dessert. I'm sorry to say, I won't be back, because I can't justify paying these prices for food that is totally hit or miss. If the food could match the front of the house staff and their customer service, this would be one of the best restaurants in Germany.

Kein Problem, freie Platzwahl (warmer Freitag-Abend, gerne draußen) und dann vertraute ich auf Zeyers Vorschlag. Was dann kam war ein kulinarisches Feuerwerk der Extraklasse! Der Aufenthalt im Restaurant fünf in Stuttgart war außergewöhnlich. Das Essen ist in Worten nicht zu beschreiben und hat nach meiner Meinung 2 Michelin Sterne verdient. Unfortunately, service is far removed from upscale gastronomy. Although the food is really good, the poor service ruins everything. The food is fresh and really creatively prepared.

We had an amazing time celebrating my wife's 30th Birthday dinner at 5! The flavorful dishes and wine pairing were top-notch, making the evening truly special. The relaxed ambiance and attention to detail made the experience unforgettable. It was a perfect choice for such a special occasion.

This was our third time here and, as always, we were impressed by the ambience, the service and, above all, the delicious food.

If you are coming to Stuttgart, you MUST come to this restaurant!!! We had the best food and service! The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and take very good care of you. The food is phenomenal and they do an excellent job with wine pairings. If you are lucky to get the risotto on the tasting menu, it will be the best risotto you will ever have! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this restaurant! We will definitely come back!

I was there twice for lunch. Positive: Every course is really excellent to sensational. I haven't eaten so well in a long time! Service perfect, friendly and accommodating, that's what you want. Negative: Warning about wine accompaniment: For the 2-course menu, this includes exactly 2 glasses of 0.1l of an excellent, suitable wine from the open bottle (roughly estimated this is 10-20 euros/0.75l bottle); one for dinner, the second for dessert. If you add 0.1l while eating, the wine accompaniment for the 3-course menu will be charged (+16 euros). I know very well that top gastronomy is not a gold mine, but such "small-mindedness" spoils the experience in the end. Therefore only 4 stars.

Tolles kulinarisches Erlebnis in einzigartigem Ambiente und professionell nahbarem Service. Hier passt einfach alles zusammen: Empfang, Begleitung in den Essensraum, Menüvorstellung, Detailerläuterung eines jeden Ganges … und dann noch die passende Weinbegleitung mit heimischen Anbaugebieten. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Restaurant is in the second floor of a bar. Interior design is stylish. They serve either 4, 6 or 7 courses menus. 6 courses does not include cheese. Everything was very good, many portions excellent. I’m not sure if I have ever had wine pairing as good as here. Service was professional and friendly. Strong recommendation!

We went to 5 for the first time last night and were totally thrilled. The menu was a taste work of art that we have never experienced before. We've been to 1-star restaurants a few times, but the 5 puts a crown on all previous restaurants. Visual and tasteful works of art that were so good that we are already looking forward to the next time. :-) The team is young and super friendly. The sommelier made us a wine pairing that was fantastic. For me as a driver, there was also an alcohol-free accompaniment to go with the menu, which I have never experienced in the catering industry before. Incredibly great juices and, to quote the sommelier, not just “7x Geiger” :-). This great break yesterday almost felt like a short vacation in the middle of downtown Stuttgart. We can recommend the 5 without reservation.

We have been here again for a long time and had an excellent meal. Modern, relaxed and yet at the highest level. This is how modern cooking works. Keep it up!
