Hotel-Restaurant Adler - Daniel Otto Fehrenbacher in Lahr/Schwarzwald

We were there for the Christmas party On December 6th, 2024 The starter was perfect, unfortunately there wasn't the main course that was announced, the parsed meat wasn't as tasty as advertised, the pear slices were hard, the sauce was ok and the buttons were also ok, the dessert could have been decorated more attractively, but it was yummy.

A modern hotel with a great breakfast. There is a set breakfast without a buffet. The rooms are modernly furnished and leave nothing to be desired. The WiFi could be a little more reliable. The desks in the standard rooms have limited use. This is not recommended for working.

Top restaurant, very good breakfast

Very high quality and the service at breakfast is great. The breakfast was very high quality and freshly prepared. The only drawback was the hairdryer in the bathroom, which is a bit weak.

Thursday evening in the restaurant. Excellent food, a great combination of wine tours and service that is both warm and competent. By the way, the furnishings are also tasteful without being stuffy. A perfect evening in every respect.

Top hotel with very nice rooms and friendly team. We had booked the gourmet arrangement, but would eat à la carte next time, as the courses on offer in the inn were very impressive. We had the best deer ever eaten in the gourmet restaurant.

We were able to stay overnight at the Hotel Adler in Reichenbach from September 27th, 2024 to September 29th, 2024 and are more than thrilled about it. A great hotel with great service. A well-equipped room in a top clean condition. Perfect, rich breakfast in a cultivated atmosphere. A top-class restaurant with an enthusiastic offering. Particular mention should be made of the employees in the restaurant in the evenings, at breakfast in the morning and the entire service staff. Thank you very much for your effort and support. We are overwhelmed by their hospitality. Thanks. We will definitely be back and are already looking forward to it. Thanks to everyone who gave us a wonderful weekend in their house!

We were very impressed by everyone, the innkeeper and waiter were very, very friendly and accommodating, the rooms and bathroom were great. Price/performance ratio couldn't be beat. Breakfast was super delicious. So if I go in that direction again, I'll be there again. All I can say is TOP.. Keep it up, absolutely recommended.

We stayed here for one night on our return journey from Alsace. From the welcome to the farewell, everything was GREAT! The room is spacious and comfortable. The menu in the evening was really excellent - as was the service. The breakfast served the next morning was also wonderful - finally no buffet with things that had been there for hours - you get a perfect, fresh 5-minute breakfast egg. It was also great that Daniel Fehrenbacher asked us personally whether we were satisfied. If we are in the area again, we will definitely visit the Adler again :))

We were here for dinner. Everything was perfect all around. The seating is lovely, the staff is very attentive and the food is truly exceptional. You can notice the star restaurant in the same building. A clear recommendation.

Only had dinner here in one of the restaurants, very very nice and kind people! Food is good and the entourage is also great. We didn’t sleep here because there was no airco…. And with 30 degrees that is a must for us. That’s the only negative point.

This is our third time staying at this wonderful hotel. It is immaculate, very comfortable beds , perfect accommodations. The breakfast is very unique. You are waited upon and order everything from eggs( made to your personal liking), fresh orange juice etc. It has an incredible ambiance with happy, caring staff. We lived in Germany decades ago and ate here weekly. Looking forward to dinner in their restaurant tomorrow evening !

Vor wenigen Tagen in einem Sterne-Lokal: Wir wollten gern unseren Hochzeitstag mit einem leckeren Menü ausklingen lassen. Wir haben einen Tisch in einem unserer Lieblingslokale reserviert, in dem wir in der Vergangenheit immer sehr freundlich und herzlich willkommen geheißen wurden. Der Tisch war, Freude, Freude, sehr nett dekoriert. Und dann? Eine gutaussehende blonde Lady betritt den Saal und begrüßt und herzt Gäste an den Nachbartischen. Bei uns kommt die Lady auch vorbei, haucht ein „guten Abend“ und weg ist sie. Erst auf Rückfrage bei dem sehr netten Ober erfahren wir, dass dies die Chefin war. Gerade die gehobene Gastronomie beklagt schwindende Kunden. Mir stellt sich die Frage: wie darf ich die Ungleichbehandlung von Gästen bewerten. Wohlgemerkt – auf das „herzen“ kann ich gern verzichten. Aber eine Vorstellung und eine wertschätzende Begrüßung – wäre dies zu viel verlangt gewesen? Unser Fazit: Das Essen, der Service waren super – aber warum sollten wir wieder kommen, wenn wir von den „Chefs“ wie Gäste 2. Klasse behandelt werden?

Great place! We came back for the second time this year because we had such a great time last time. Partly because of the very helpful and friendly staff. Last year I forgot my E-reader in the room. The reception immediately contacted me and sent the E-reader to my home address so that I did not have to drive back. Now that's thinking along! We travel with a small child and we prefer to eat after he is in bed. No problem, a table was reserved for us and if we had to go back and forth to the room, we were asked again and again if everything was okay. Sincerely involved! Very clean and spacious rooms with beautiful views. And a choice of two restaurants where you can eat really well. The garden at the guest house is really beautiful on a summer evening. The breakfast is very quiet, pleasant and the ambiance stylish. You can see that they pay attention to every aspect of service here. The area is great for walking, cycling or running. Whether it's a short detour or a longer excursion.

The hotel staff were courteous, friendly and the service was top. Breakfast was super delicious. Our room was comfortable and clean. We all felt very comfortable and had a wonderful time.

We always enjoy being guests at the Adler in Reichenbach On March 2nd, 2024 we were guests at the Adler again. But at the high table in the kitchen. It was a sensational culinary evening that is second to none. Excellent service and friendly service and expertise. An unforgettable evening. We would like to thank the Adler team!

It's a shame that the 7th course of the menu is behind us and we are full. 4 hours of pure enjoyment, unusual and delicious food, friendly and attentive service and excellent wines are behind us. The menu was a culinary experience. A delight for the palate! We weren't there for the first time, but definitely not the last time either! Gladly again immediately!👍🙂

I was here for the third time, great, large rooms, super clean, quiet, with shutters, lots of natural wood. Great breakfast, super friendly service, great ambience with beautiful pictures (modern Black Forest girls and boys). Both the restaurant and the pub with excellent quality, selection and great service. Very large, great wine list, excellent range of aperitifs and degustations. I'm already looking forward to the next time.

A very nice hotel. It keeps what it promises on the inside. The parking spaces are at the back of the hotel. Beautiful, large and cozy rooms that are also very clean and well maintained. I immediately felt comfortable and welcome. There is also a coffee machine and a minibar in the room.

Family-run house with warm hosts at the helm. Very good cuisine with a regional focus and modern, international influences. Perfectly combined. Just like the wine list: regional focus and some international delicacies. Everything is fairly calculated.

Weihnachtsfeier mit Autohaus Allgeier, das Essen und der Service sehr gut

Eigentlich ein sehr schönes Hotel, wir waren vor einiger Zeit dort nur zum Essen. Leider waren die Rumpsteaks zäh! Ich wollte erst nichts schreiben , aber bei den Preisen ging es uns nicht aus dem Kopf.

Die Gerichte sind sehr sehr lecker, umfangreich und zu einem fairen Preis Sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung Wir waren mit unseren 19-monatigen Enkeln zum Mittagessen, war prima: sehr kinderfreundlich, aufmerksam,auch eine Spielecke ist vorhanden

Herzlicher Empfang; man fühlt sich als Gast geschätzt. Das sogenannte „Reinschmecker-Gourmet-Menü“ war hervorragend. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend, kompetent und fachlich top. Wir können das Hotel nur bestens empfehlen; wir kommen wieder, wenn wir in der Gegend sind.

Waren dort zum Essen im romantischen Garten, einfach herrlich im halbschatten bei einem top Essen 3gang menue. Ist nicht ganz billig aber wir haben Hochzeitstag gehabt und haben uns das einfach mal gegönnt

Einfach ein super Service ein köstliches Frühstück und bequeme Betten!

Um entspannt das Gourmet-Menü im Michelin-besternten Restaurant zu genießen, hatten wir das Arrangement "Natur-Genuss-Auszeit" gewählt mit zwei Übernachtungen in dem schönen Hotel und zwei Abendessen, davon eines im Gourmet-Lokal (5-Gang-Menü). Kurz zusammengefasst, haben alle Gänge nebst den diversen Grüßen aus der Küche und der Weinreise die (hohen) Erwartungen erfüllt. Sehr schönes Ambiente mit (ironischen?) Schwarzwald-Zitaten (Kuckucksuhr meldet sich ab und zu). Eine besondere Erwähnung verdient der aufmerksame, freundliche Service. Das Hotel, ist wie die beiden Restaurants, absolut zu empfehlen. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist ausgesprochen fair.

Wir hatten das Reinschmecker Arrangement gebucht und unsere Erwartungen wurden vollständig erfüllt. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön und es ist alles vorhanden um einen angenehmen Aufenthalt zu gewährleisten. Das 5 Gang Menü war wunderbar ausgesucht und die Weinbegleitung dazu sehr passend. Da das Restaurant an diesem Abend (Mittwoch) nicht voll besetzt war hatte das Serviceteam auch mal Zeit um mit den Gästen zu plaudern. Gut gefallen hat uns die lockere, ungezwunge aber sehr professionelle Art des Services. Wir haben uns super wohlgefühlt.

Wir hatten im GASTHAUS das 3-Gang-Menü. Zunächst den Hausaperitif. Nicht so aufregend. Die Bärlauchsuppe dann schmeckte allerdings sehr sehr intensiv, fast an der Grenze zum Versalzen. Das Kalbsrückensteak war sehr hingegen sehr gut. Problem war der sehr langsame Service. Es war viel Betrieb und zu wenig Personal. So mussten wir alleine 25 Minuten aufs Dessert warten. Die dazu empfohlenen Weine waren gut.

Remarquable cuisine riche en saveurs, aux associations parfois surprenantes, mais toujours réussies que ce soit le Rheinzander Sashimi ou l'inattendu mariage Jacobmuschel/Banane. Le loup de mer/Artischoke est une réussite et le Maishuhn/Morchel, une touche finale qui ne se laissera pas oubliée de si tôt ! Bravo à Daniel Fehrenbacher et son équipe. La qualité de la cuisine d'Otto pendant des années, puis celle d'Otto et Daniel et désormais du seul Daniel, l'accueil de Pia et Kerstin Fehrenbacher, les conseils de Monsieur Hund, le sommelier, le service efficace et chaleureux font de l'Adler une maison pas comme les autres, que nous fréquentons depuis...1996, avec toujours autant de plaisir et plus
