We had dinner at Hassan's for our wedding. Everything was really great. My guests were thrilled. Many thanks also to all employees.

The “Chef Special” dish with lamb and rice is a real highlight. The lamb is tender and aromatic, perfectly seasoned and juicy. The accompanying rice is light and finely balanced, so that it ideally complements the intense flavors of the lamb - absolutely recommended!

A real insider tip in Lahr. The selection on the menu is certainly manageable. But in my experience this is often a major quality feature. The price-performance ratio is really great. Such quality for this price is hard to find anywhere these days. And the operator personally accepts reservations by telephone even on closed days. We will come back, that's for sure. The rump steak is highly recommended. Delicate and on point. We ate in the outdoor “garden”. This can be reached with a wheelchair. We weren't in the restaurant. I would have liked to give 5 points everywhere. But since we had to wait quite a long time, my salad collapsed. The ambience is better in the garden. I rate this with 4 points because the tables and chairs were only chosen for practical purposes and otherwise no excessive emphasis was placed on furnishings. However, price performance is great. Recommended!

Were here today for the first time since the change of operator. the food was fantastic. We were also pleasantly surprised by the vegetables. I've been there twice now, once with my partner and once with a group and we were very satisfied both times. The house offers Baden cuisine without experimentation in good quality, both in terms of taste and appearance. Since the tenant comes from Afghanistan, there is always an Afghan dish on the menu. Here I had very good lamb with Afghan rice and yogurt-mint dip. Buttery tender and a hit in terms of taste. The menu is small, which is good because it means that everything is freshly cooked. The salads taste good and are beautifully presented. Portions a little above average. Good beers (naturally cloudy) are offered. The service is nice, changes are no problem. We were inside, the atmosphere is rustic, wood paneled, the toilet is clean and has funny sayings and is nicely decorated. The owner and chef also came to the table personally to ask about satisfaction. There's also a shady beer garden outside, which is worth it when it's hot. Had Chef's Special. A neighbor had raved about it, so I thought I'd try it too. Unfortunately for me the opposite was the case. For me the meat was dry and tasteless and didn't look like lamb. The sauce was a watery sauce. Rice with carrot sticks were dry with only 5 raisins in it (as if warmed up in the microwave). A pepperoni and a few sliced ​​almonds on top. Next to it there was a small bowl on the plate with yoghurt dip which was OK. Talked to the neighbor afterwards, she showed me pictures of her food, she had ordered the same thing before, it was the complete opposite. I'm very disappointed, I was actually happy with what was served to me. I definitely won't go there again!

I've been there several times now (05/2024) since the change of operator and it's really a good kitchen with delicious Baden dishes! I remember the ambience from before, it hasn't really changed, but it fits. The service is also good to very good. I can recommend it at any time, the prices are right too! For me it's definitely a recommendation, you can actually always go there. There is also a lovely outdoor terrace that is open when the weather is nice.

Definitely a culinary highlight! The menu offered a great selection of dishes. The Klotz is an insider tip for fans of German cuisine. We are already looking forward to our next visit 😊

We arrived one afternoon around 1 p.m., the restaurant was empty. We suspected something bad but we were absolutely positively surprised! The service was great, the food was great and very plentiful (could be a little less for lunch😄). We had Schäufele and the Afghan specialty. I've never eaten such tender lamb before. Absolutely recommended!

Ein sehr gemütliches und schön eingerichtetes Gasthaus mit traditionellen badischen Speisen. Sehr nettes und professionelles Bedienpersonal und ein sehr freundlicher Gastwirt. Die Speisen sind alle mit sehr viel Liebe zubereitet. Man merkt das hier nur Produkte mit hoher Qualität zum Einsatz kommen.

Mit dem neuen Besitzer Hassan ist zum Klotz wieder ein Top-Adresse für badisches Essen in Lahr. Die badischen Gerichte sind super, die Auswahl ist gut, der Preis stimmt. Zudem überzeugt das Lokal mit einem passenden Ambiente und sehr guten Service. Das Personal und der Besitzer sind sehr freundlich!

Das Restaurant zum Klotz ist ein wahrer Insider Tipp. Herr Asghari ist ein toller Gastgeber, kam sogar persönlich an den Tisch. Das Ambiente ist rustikal und traditionell, wie ich es erwartet habe. Das Essen ist wirklich sehr gut. Wir hatten das Rote Beete Carpaccio als Vorspeise und das Schnitzel als Hauptgang. Die Portionen sind wirklich sehr gut und man wird satt. Alles im Ganzen ein toller Abend, wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Gutes Essen und das Preis Leistungsverhältnis stimmt auch hatte Schweineschnitzel mit Pommes 14,90€ plus Bunter Salat klein 4,50€ plus Coca Cola 0,33l für 3,30€ und ein Kaffee für 3,00€ zusammen für 25,70€ man kann mit Karte bezahlt ! Kleines Lokal sehr gemütlich man sollte aber vorher reservieren mit mehreren Personen !
