Breakfast restaurant of the Hotel Blauer Engel.
I don't know if you can eat there in the evening as the next breakfast was already set around 6 p.m....
The food was truly delicious – the tarte flambée with venison was particularly delicious. The service was wonderfully friendly and accommodating. It was also nice that we were able to look around the restaurant at our leisure – the decor is truly impressive. The only minor criticism: the constant, loud screaming of children could be heard on the lawn, which might be a bit inconvenient if you're looking for a quieter setting. Other than that, the visit was a complete success.
The waitresses are very friendly, committed and in a good mood.
We ordered a Cordon Bleu and the Schneiderpfännchen for dinner. The Cordon Bleu tasted good and was also large, and the fries were also very good. Unfortunately, the sauce in the pan was very oily, but that didn't hurt the taste. The side potatoes are excellent.
Overall, highly recommended.
We also got a place without a reservation, but it certainly makes sense to reserve for times after 7 p.m. and with several people
Unfortunately, in my opinion, the food is only average and not worth mentioning. For the same price, I can get better tasting food at other restaurants. The service is usually very friendly and attentive.
Super cozy little restaurant with very nice staff and great cuisine. The location right on the lake is the icing on the cake...highly recommended...Please only visit if I don't want to dine there, otherwise there is a risk that I won't get a seat😜THANK YOU
Verbrachte den Abend mit meiner Frau, insgesamt zum 3. Mal.
Waren zufrieden, hatten diesmal für den kleinen Appetit nordische Bruschetta und Ziegenkäseburger, war gut und beides auch empfehlenswert.
Was there in March and felt completely bad. Not good service and the atmosphere wasn't pleasant either. Drinks 0815. I can cook food at home and it tastes just as good. I can't recommend it!
We had reservations for a Sunday evening at 5:30 p.m. Our table was in the gallery (?). We quickly noticed that the lamp was hanging in an awkward position for one of the guests. In addition, the two seats for two were very impractically arranged. It seems as if the available space had to be used economically instead of giving up one of the two-person spaces.
When we arrived there were still dirty dishes from the guest in front of us. In addition, there were two cards with clearly legible names on the site to identify our reservation and the following one. In the upper back area it was also difficult for the service staff to make themselves noticeable. However, our waitress was very nice and tried hard.
We ordered the sauerbraten with red cabbage and potato dumplings and the pork schnitzel with pepper cream sauce and fries and salad. The salad came quite quickly, was a simple side salad and "nothing special" but fresh and tasty. The warm main courses also came after a reasonable waiting time. The schnitzel was a perfect size and fried just as well. The fries were crispy and delicious. The pepper cream sauce was delicious and almost a little too little. The sauerbraten, red cabbage and dumplings were top quality and well seasoned.
For dessert we ordered the Kaiserschmarrn and the sweet tarte flambée. The Kaiserschmarrn came with applesauce, which I didn't need. Tastes very good. The sweet tarte flambée was also delicious, although surprisingly large (pizza size). Some kind of dip would have been nice here, for example some creme fraiche.
