Bauerles in Fellbach

Once a year, during asparagus season, it's traditionally a long-awaited event for us. We reserved a table months ago, which is necessary because it's always packed and every table is full. Nevertheless, we were seated extremely uncomfortably with three people in the farthest, darkest corner at a tiny table (80x100cm). Criticisms were expressed, but only justifications and no alternatives. Very disappointing! The asparagus wasn't good this time either – watery and completely tasteless. The side dishes were otherwise of a high standard, which is to be expected for the price. That was it for us here; it was the last time. It's a shame, but it can't go on like this.

With the new asparagus season upon us, we wanted to eat asparagus again. Even though they aren't the cheapest... the food is okay. When we got there, it happened... The website says opening hours are until 11 p.m., but when we arrived at 9:20 p.m., they outrageously said the kitchen is open until 9 p.m. And kitchen hours aren't actually opening hours, so next time I'll just call ahead... I was just unlucky as a customer, I was rudely told. Terrible service, there are plenty of other restaurants who are happy to take my money. I definitely won't leave it here.

The mecca for asparagus lovers in the Stuttgart region. The Spargelbauerle offers the freshest and most delicious dishes with every imaginable side dish. Asparagus broth (self-service) is available as an amuse-bouche. Everything is well organized. The attached fruit and vegetable shop, with its wide variety, is also highly recommended.

A tavern with fresh asparagus. A large portion with plenty of asparagus, good sauce, and potatoes. Unfortunately, some of the asparagus was under-peeled and still a bit too firm. But overall, a successful evening.

No, unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it. Too big, too loud, and you feel rushed. Too crowded, the food arrived in less than 10 minutes, and the asparagus was soggy.

A huge pub, the service was very friendly, and everything was very cozy and clean. However, the prices are quite high. €18 for a side schnitzel is quite expensive in my opinion. The asparagus, on the other hand, was very well prepared and perfectly reasonable in price. The dessert is worth every cent.

A few years ago, when it all began, with beer benches and tables in a tent right in the field, the food was something truly special and beyond delicious! Today's visit left me more than disappointed. The asparagus was very hard, not even warm, woody, and not even properly peeled. For the price they charge—a disgrace! Absolutely NOT recommended anymore! A lot of money wasted on run-of-the-mill asparagus. No thanks.

Very nice restaurant and great food

Delicious food, but quite expensive. Very good service. Nice ambience. Because it is a very large restaurant and usually very busy, it is also a bit noisy.

We have never had such a large portion of asparagus in a restaurant. I had 13 spears of green asparagus with vinaigrette and scrapes. All very tasty. The asparagus is exactly on point. The other asparagus dishes were also delicious and rich.

I recently went there for lunch for the first time in a long time. The food was tasty, the service was ok, but all in all you have to say: the prices are a disgrace. I paid 30 euros for an asparagus dish for lunch, and there wasn't even any ham. You have to pay extra for every bell and whistle, even a 0.25 liter glass of tap water with the overpriced wine costs 2 euros. Well, people, you can simply exaggerate the rip-off. For me that was it with the so popular asparagus whisk.

Food and atmosphere were great, but I think it’s a little overpriced. If you don’t mind, I personally recommend the white asparagus with potatoes and super delicious creamy sauce.

Were here on May 1st, when the weather was nice, with a live band and probably maximum crowds. All in all, it was definitely an increased challenge for the service staff, but waiting times and the price (okay for the quality, but cold and not particularly special) were already crazy. In any case, it has nothing to do with brooms, this is catering at a higher level

Bauerles Besen ist schon ein kleiner Widerspruch. Der Name ist hier sicher nicht Programm. Ein Besen ist etwas kleines Überschauberes (in der Regel). Hier haben wir eine sehr große Anlage und eine Atmosphäre ähnlich einem großen Brauhaus. Das ist richtige Massenabfertigung und dementsprechend ist die Atmosphäre sehr laut. Wir durften uns sogar den Tisch noch mit anderen Gästen teilen, damit möglichst viele Leute Platz finden. Die Preise richtig heftig. Zum Spargel kann man sicher alles extra bezahlen von den Kartoffeln bis zur Soße ist hier nichts dabei und eine Portion Kartoffeln kostet da schon 4,50€ und die Soße (zum Beispiel Butter) 2 €. Wenn ich hier noch etwas dazu nehme wie etwa Lachs oder ein Schnitzel kostet das Essen schnell über 40€. Ich habe mich neulich für die Hackfleischküchle entschieden, aber auch da passt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht. Mit 13,50€ (in der Karte steht noch 12,90€) für zwei extrem kleine Küchle muss man sich dann doch wundern. Sie haben sehr gut geschmeckt keine Frage, aber die Größe geht gar nicht. Als Beilage gab es lediglich etwas trockenes Brot, auch da könnte man mehr erwarten. Beim Wein nehme ich als Beispiel den Grauburgunder: Hier werden stolze 4,60€ für 0,1 l verlangt. Ordentliche Preise für einen Besen. Wir sind hier nicht in der Sterneküche, wenn man aber gleich den Eindruck bekommen mag, dass allein von der Anlage und dem modernen Gebäude ein exklusiveres Publikum angesprochen werden soll (mit eigenem Weinshop). Geschmacklich gut, Service gut, aber das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis halte ich nicht für ausgewogen.

Wir kommen schon seid Jahren zum Spargelbesen aber von Jahr zu Jahr wurden wir leider unzufriedenen. Unfreundliche Bedienung, es ist so laut in der Halle man muss sich schon fast anschreien um noch was zu verstehen. Essen massenabfertigung und maßlos überteuert. Wir werden künftig die Lokalität nicht .Ehrlich besuchen.

DANGER!! Extremely disappointing! I wanted to buy food (e.g. strawberries) from the machine - the machine simply swallowed my money and didn't give out anything. As if that wasn't bad enough, the note on the machine also treats you as if you were a fraudster, even though you yourself were cheated! Despite several witnesses who were able to confirm the incident, my money was not returned. Absolutely disrespectful treatment of honest customers (it was previously eaten for 150 euros). I will definitely never buy anything here again!

Wollten uns nach dem Essen am Abend noch Erdbeeren aus dem Besen-Automaten für 5,50 EUR mitnehmen. Wir sind seit Jahren hier her gerne zum Essen gekommen…Der Automat gibt uns keine Beeren und auch nicht unser Geld zurück. Soweit kein Problem, bis zum Zeitpunkt als der Inhaber uns offensichtlich Betrugsabsichten unterstellen will und weder Erdbeeren noch Geld zurückgeben möchte!? Dieses Verhalten spricht für sich und wir haben so was noch nicht erlebt. Mögen unsere 5 EUR dem Besen helfen….

Food is delicious. Prices are simply too high these days. €29.50 for a quarter of a goose without any side dishes is simply too much. The waiting time for service has now increased significantly and the food arrives at a different time. I'm happy to go to the broom, but with a somewhat clouded mood because of the prices and the price-performance ratio. Update asparagus broom: in my opinion it is no longer a good price-performance ratio and mass production.

I visited Bauerles on a sunny Saturday afternoon. The outdoor area was well filled - there was a free choice of seating, most of the time you sat with others at long beer benches. The service was quick, professional and mostly friendly. To get us in the mood, there was a greeting from the kitchen: asparagus stock. A nice gesture, solid in taste, but a bit too sweet. We then chose two asparagus dishes - the asparagus comes from the farm's own cultivation. The tarte flambée was convincing across the board: crispy base, well topped, balanced in taste – definitely a highlight. The asparagus carbonara, on the other hand, was unfortunately a slip-up. The pasta was overcooked, the sauce seemed creamy and tasteless at the same time - neither asparagus nor seasoning really came into its own. Conclusion: Nice ambience, local ingredients, fast service and I can recommend the tarte flambée.

Highest quality. Never had such a good onion roast before (beef broom) Even the apple spritzer was the best I've ever drunk. Everything homemade here. My wife had prepared veal schnitzel. Also incredibly good. Service also 5 stars.

I had the beef fillet steak medium, perfectly seasoned exactly to the point, very tender... the spaetzle was homemade... the potato salad was fresh... then another Danube wave plus a cappuccino, everything was great, very satisfied, I'll be back at any time... In a beautiful farm you get really tasty and good food. The service is super friendly and I haven't experienced anything like it in a long time. You can also buy some fine things in the farm shop.

I actually come here every year. I understand that many reviews are complaining about the price, yeah they are not price friendly. However, I really love the food and atmosphere here. The white asparagus can be a bit softer, but it is a taste preference. I will definitely come back here again next year and a year later...

The goose was very tasty, but this huge restaurant has nothing to do with a broom restaurant. It was difficult to understand what he was talking to because it echoed and was incredibly loud.

We have been coming to Bauerles Besen in Fellbach-Schmiden twice a year (asparagus broom/goose broom) with friends and (ex-)colleagues for at least 20 years. We were always impressed by the good quality of the seasonal dishes on offer and were very satisfied! This year, for the first time, I was very disappointed with my roast goose, which cost €29.90 without any side dishes! Not only was the portion (coincidentally) small, but the meat (single piece without bones) was extremely dry and the meat on the leg couldn't be removed with a knife and fork because it was so dry! The red cabbage, on the other hand, was delicious as usual (separate price component, as were the dumplings as a side dish (not chosen)! The other dishes (meatballs, potato salad or goose pan) were good! Despite this year's disappointment, we will come back next year during the asparagus season and Advent season and hope that this time it was just a one-time blip! Location and staff are expressly excluded from criticism, as they are very nice and extremely friendly!

Today we went to Bauerles in Fellbach for a goose meal and we were thrilled. The food was excellent. Tender, juicy and perfectly prepared. The restaurant is furnished in a very modern way and invites you to feel good. Particularly noteworthy is the super friendly service, which made the evening even more pleasant. Parking is somewhat limited considering the size of the place, but the nearest S-Bahn station is just a short walk away, making the visit very straightforward. Absolutely recommended. We'd love to come back.

Nice atmosphere for a sociable evening. Unfortunately the goose was anything but good. About 50% bones and that for almost €30 (without side dishes). The dumplings had a neutral taste and the sauce was far too little. As we were clearing away the waiter asked how it tasted. But he didn't comment at all on the honest, negative assessment of the food. There was also no other reaction. Apparently this restaurant has enough solvent customers.

Unfortunately the roast goose was just average. Chewy in places, tender in places. Applesauce was only served in a homeopathic amount.

Best potato salad and roast roast cooked to medium-rare perfection

Very good onion roast but unfortunately the side dishes didn't go well at all. The “fried potatoes” were somehow cooked but had nothing in common with fried potatoes as I know them or as shown on the menu. The bread for the onion roast was simply left out but then charged as normal. I even gave feedback on the interim question “is everything OK”, but no solution was offered to me. What a shame!!!! A really disappointing experience!

The food was good, if not outstanding, the service staff was friendly and the atmosphere was fine - although the restaurant doesn't have much in common with a traditional broom restaurant. Overall there was hardly anything to complain about if the price had been right. The prices are more than exorbitant and it's eyewash when you have to order the spaetzle separately for €5 to go with the roast roast, which isn't cheap - you can't even dream of a side salad. In my opinion, unaffordable for a family, unfortunately in line with the general trend towards maximum profit utilization, and simply unnecessary. Why not moderate prices? Then you drink an extra bottle of wine.

Delicious schnitzel dish with fried potatoes! The schnitzel was perfectly breaded and crispy, the fried potatoes were beautifully golden brown and crispy. I particularly liked the generous portion as well as the lemon slices and side salad that add freshness. The sauce was also spicy and rounded off the dish perfectly. Overall, a great meal in a pleasant atmosphere. I'd love to come back!

The food was good for everyone. Unfortunately the atmosphere doesn't suit my taste, it started at the reception and the service at the table was more rustic and rude than friendly and professional. It wasn't necessarily very busy, but it was too loud.

Wir hatten die Lokalität an einem Freitagabend besucht und können den Betrieb nicht weiterempfehlen. Die Besitzer der Gaststätte sollten auf ihre Ursprünge vor Jahrzehnten zurückblicken, als dort noch ein gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis vorhanden war. Ein „Cut“ würde gut tun.

This is a really great broom economy. What impresses her first and foremost is the kitchen. Here you can get freshly prepared dishes with ingredients mostly from our own production. The same applies to the wines. Industrially manufactured semi-finished products, which have now become standard almost everywhere, are not available here. The Besenwirtschaft has plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. A playground is available for younger guests. The staff is very friendly and quick. Considering the quality, the prices are absolutely fair.

If you're ever in the area, you should definitely plan a culinary stay at Bauerle! We went to the asparagus broom a few years ago and it was extremely tasty. And so there are regularly other broom themes that arise from the specialties of the region. The Besenwirtschaft is an extremely good looking restaurant, which was a beef broom during our visit. Accordingly, the focus of the dishes was clear: beef. Of course there were a lot of other dishes, but when I'm there for a beef broom, as a carnivore I treat myself to a ribeye from the daily menu. However, the onion roast was particularly tasty, with an excellent sauce! The pulled beef burger is very juicy with incredibly tender meat, so the bun quickly became just as juicy. The tarte flambée is also recommended, although the taste was of course more subtle compared to the roast pieces. Drinks? Clearly, this is a wine region, the focus is on wine and its pearly derivatives. Well explained for the layman and differentiated by price with colored dots, you can quickly find your favorite wine on the menu! And if necessary, simply let the employees help you, they know their stuff. Unexpected for me as a Spezi drinker: No Spezi on the menu, but the spritzers are extremely tasty, so I (almost) didn't miss the Spezi at all. A word about the employees: unobtrusive, fast, friendly, calm, competent, courteous. And this despite the fact that the restaurant was full and our group consisted of 25 hungry birthday guests. Respect, that was top class! We had the tables upstairs in the dining room on a kind of gallery, which was a cozy atmosphere, so full points. In the lower area, the guest room is more open with a high ceiling, so I can imagine it is louder and feels less comfortable for some guests. Very practical: you can take the digestive walk to the neighboring vineyards, to the children's playground or to the farm shop. You can buy many of the drinks from the broom there, as well as incredibly delicious farmhouse bread. All in all, a very tasty trip! Unfortunately I don't have a comparable broom restaurant nearby, so I'll have to go to Bauerle again 😉
